Hello, For an edit with many layers, I'm unable to copy/paste the layers from the program's monitor. Using two screens, I have to navigate using the editing window.I can't find a solution. If there is a solution or a tip, it would help speed up my workflow. If this is not currently possible, it would be a handy feature to incorporate in a future version. Merci de votre assistance Cyril
Hello everyone! I have a song that increases in tempo as we play it. I was shocked to discover that Audition doesn't (?) have a tempo track that can be adjusted incrementally (i.e. per bar, or over time, or exponentially) to exact BPM's to speed up a song and the bars auto-adjust to match. Or... does it? This will be important for a metronome / click track to record to. It needs to speed up precisely. And also for editing to match each bar exactly. Recording a tempo beat elsewhere and drop it in as an audio track doesn't really work, because then editing across multiple tracks is less precise (if at all). Plus, then we can't track exact BPM per bar. Can someone show me *exactly* how to overcome this? (my god who'd a thunk garageband would outbeat Audition in this way. Sheesh.). Note to Audition creators / Feature Request: make an adjustable-over-time tempo track! Thanks! M.
Hi! Sometimes conforming alters the speed of our systems. It would be of great help to have this process included within the Progress Dashboard, so as to be able to see what is yet to be conformed, and being able to manage the process the way this menu does. Thank you.
DaVinci Resolve offers a fantastic "Timeline Overview" or "Mini Timeline" feature that displays the entire sequence in a compact view, with a highlighted section showing the current zoomed-in area. This makes it incredibly easy to stay oriented within the timeline, navigate quickly, and maintain context while working in a detailed zoomed-in view.Premiere Pro currently lacks a comparable visual overview, and I believe adding such a feature would be a game-changer for workflow efficiency and user experience.
Hello! Long time after effects user here! I'll get right to the things I would love to see added to AE.1. Native Depth of Field and Motion Blur for Advanced Render. This would bring so much value using 3d in AE. Especially for competing plugins that the public has used but is now not functional to the degree it once was.2. Advanced renderer better render optimizations. (it unfortunatly is a very slow renderer making it impossible to use on time sensative projects when it could be the perfect solution.)3. Gradient fills for text Layers. I would love this very much. More custome text in AE. Great for templates4. Multiple Strokes for text: the ability to add more than one stroke on text layers would be amazing to make customizable, procedural text and text animation without the need for complex layers and a cool way to utilize text animators potentially. This could also help with seamlessly mimicking looks if Illustrator text in AE. Maybe even one day be able to send text directly from Illustrator to AE with all settings. (multiple fills, strokes, layer styles etc)5. Stroke path options for text layers: much like the shape layers options for stroke paths just for text! I know you can convert text to a shape layer. But in practice this always comes to bite you in the bum if you are a place that has to make lots of edits or reuse projects but update text. Plus animation oppurtunities would expand and create easy new text animations. essentially i just want text layers to act like shape layers but with text lol.6. Pre-comp Depth map: you could create a precomp and use it as a depth map using its actual depth if the objects inside were placed in 3d space. I know there are work arounds to do this but a intuitive way to do this would be amazing.7. I am not sure if this makes sense. but an option to control whether a layer style is rendered before or after the motion blur would be nice as well.
Hi Adobe,Great work with the new Parametric Meshes feature, the ability to create native 3D geometry (planes, spheres, cones, etc) within After Effects is something many motion designers have long been waiting for. It opens up new creative workflows and reduces dependency on external geometry tools. One enhancement I’d like to propose: Curvature / Bend. For example, a Plane mesh should have a “bend radius” or “curve amount” parameter so you can bend the surface into a convex/concave shape without converting to generic 3D geometry or applying separate deformations. This would dramatically streamline workflows when animating curved panels, sweeping surfaces, or ribbons inside AE.Additional suggestions to bolster the parametric mesh system:Expand the library of parametric primitives (pyramid, wedge, custom profile sweep) to cover more motion-graphics use cases.Deformation parameters: twist, taper, bend, inflate, built-in rather than relying on external effect chains.Thank you for prioritising the motion-graphics community. Lightroom CC - Renaming in bulk. This is another important feature from Lightroom which appears not to have made it (yet) to Lightroom CC.Everyone has there own renaming strategy (don't they?). Once I have applied keywords and corrected location details, I bulk rename to include date, location and primary keyword in the file title. OK - that may be overkill, but does help people I am selling images to.Bulk renaming - for whatever reason and using whatever system - is an important tool for DAM and support for it in Lightroom CC would be appreciated.
If I crop my image (Original Ratio) and I click the ruler icon, draw a line the image is rotated AND cropped correctly - over all the years perfect. But if I crop but hold CTRL and draw the ruler line with this "other ruler"(?) the image is also rotated - but NOT cropped. Is this a bug or a feature?
Hi AE team,I'm a huge marker user, and I love all the options, but one thing is missing for me:The ability to finish editing your markers without touching your mouse would make the workflow a bit faster. In most chat apps, you have the option to send messages with CMD (or Ctrl) + Enter, so I thought, why not add that logic to After Effects too?
With the advent of more 3D capabilities and better tools for 32b float workflows using AE in hybrid contexts will become more and more common. Because of this AE's working depth structure poses a problem. You do not always want 32bit project working depth. In some cases due to certain effects, other times because of performance. It would be great if the user would have control over the working depth on a per comp basis. This mechanism could be similar to how Fusion handles it where you can change the depth running through the node chain at any time anywhere. My typical example motivating this idea is I have a large project completely 16bit int based for 'normal' motion design work. But there is 1 comp that utilizes some UVpass data for which I need 32bit. This forces me to use 32bit float for the entire project which is not efficient. Would be cool to see some new possibilities there.
I would like to share an idea that could be very useful for sublimation printing and garment printing companies. My suggestion is to add an auto-resizing feature for garments within Adobe Illustrator. For example, there could be an input option to specify the garment size (Small, Medium, Large, etc.), along with customizable size settings. After creating the desired printable design, the user could simply select the size—small, medium, or large—and the design would automatically resize proportionally before printing. This feature would be extremely valuable for printing businesses, especially since Adobe Illustrator works with vectors and ensures color accuracy. Adding an automated resizing function for different garment sizes would make the design-to-print workflow faster and more efficient. This is just a small mock-up idea from my mind, but I believe it can make a big difference for designers and printing professionals. Thank you very much. Alfie C. The Vertical Type Tool has quietly disappeared from the toolbar in Photoshop 2025.For Japanese and other East Asian users, vertical text isn’t a niche feature — it’s the foundation of how we write.Having to dig into “Type → Convert to Vertical Text” for something so fundamental feels like a step backward in usability.A tool this essential deserves a visible place on the toolbar, just as it always had.I’m not asking for an extra feature — I’m asking for something that was already essential. Please bring the Vertical Type Tool back to the toolbar.Respectfully,Strong Ninja(who moves silently, but types vertically)
Playing with Firefly boards and the export options are extremely limited. I'd much rather export my noodlings (and video embeds) somewhere else - not just sharing the boards with others via Adobe, but export them as proper presentation decks a la powerpoint or keynote etc..
Another Idea that Adobe can do thats unique is making an AI brush. Theres already realtime AI that fixes peoples drawings if they cant draw , well what if you use the same realtime technology but in a brush that can benefit those who do have artistic skills or anyone really. So Instead of just making an entire image for you, this tool can help in tedious task for special EFX giving artist quicker workflows.Let me explain:Say you are trying to paint fire and as you paint (or after you release your stroke) it makes the fire look real/more finished. For making special EFX this could be super helpful even as a base. It Can be used for paintingGrass, leaves, fire, snow, dust, wind, branches, wood carvings, windows, hair, sparks, glows, energy beams, ect. instead of just using a normal brush that just gives you stamp info only. Can see this being something unique and helpful. You could even make it an AI layer that enables you to edit the context already made or rasterize it like you do a smart object.
It took a while to figure out that the way to do this is: Composition Menu > Preview and turn off Cache Frames When Idle And this setting _should be_ in the Disk Cache settings as that's the obvious place to look for it. Why would you put other controls for Cache Frames when Idle there but not the ability to turn it off? Especially since turning it off seems to turn it off globally, making it even stranger that it's not in the Settings. Just confusing IMO. The feature can be useful but it's really a memory hog, especially with 8K+ comps, so it should be easier to turn it off. (I mean, once you know where it's hidden, sure it's easy, but it's not easy to find)
My client has supplied multi-point gradient backdrops made in Illustrator (attached) that need to animate (position & colour) over time but the default 4-point gradient in AE wont cut it unfortunatley. Is it a massive deal to either add extra gradient 'points' to the default 4-way gradient tool in AE? But if there was a way of importing Illustrator gradients and converting to shape layers with a multi-point gradient (animatable) then that would be brilliant as well...
I find that the app usually has a lot of space available across the width of the screen. It would be great to be able to make the toolbar vertical, similar to Illustrator's and Photoshop's toolbar, or make it responsive/ reflow in a stacked version when the user resizes a panel.
I use Lumetri Color all the time and find the Curves charts (Hue vs Saturation, Hue vs Hue, etc.) extremely useful, however I cannot find a way to stretch the curve charts verically to get enough precision. It's virtually impossible to make a setting as small as I need to sometimes. I can stretch the charts horiztally all I want, but that doesn't help much since the settings depend on vertical movements. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Thank you!
