I suggest adding a Reset button for the Freeze Mask in Liquify.Yep, we can use the "eraser" or click "Cancel" to quit the workspace and then load it again via the menu. But removing an unwanted mask in 1 click would be faster and easier.
It's almost 2025, and soon Photoshop turns 35. In an era of high resolution 30-40" display monitors and 16/32-bit precision, it is perhaps hard to believe that Photoshop still does not allow us greater accuracy in its set of grading tools.Dialogs are too often modal and hard-coded in onscreen size. Control sliders, Levels controls, Curves and the entire myriad of PS's color grading controls cannot be scaled up or zoomed in for finer control. (The Gradient Editor and its Ramps being a rare exception). How can we artists make use of the extended dynamic range and quantization resolution that 16 bit and 32-bit documents offer us when we're forced to do our tweaks in miniscule 1990's GUI dialogs? The answer is, very poorly and inaccurately, especially compared to other tools out there that have better adapted themselves to Retina displays and the modern age. It is therefor that I plead with Adobe to get with the current times and give us a modern GUI experience. Let us freely scale up the grading tools dialogs so that they may cover the full screen if so desired. Allow us then to zoom in on say a Curves grade (look at Foundry's Nuke for inspiration here) for even finer control. Adobe, come forth out of the digital stone-age please. You're focussing a disproportionate amount of development time on embedding AI tools (with questionable results in my opinion) at the cost of letting the tried and tested workhorse tools and workflows rot in the past.Thank you for considering.Danny
Hello,For some time I have been looking for a way to better manage my file manager more efficiently and easily without going through "dark" paths but directly on the "Project: ...." tab...Basically I would like to:Automatically synchronize bins with folders: If you organize your files in folders on your computer, be able to automatically create the corresponding bins in Premiere Pro (or After Effects) and import the files there. Any changes made to the folders (adding, deleting, renaming) will be reflected in Premiere Pro.(Allow to automatically synchronize folders and bins of already existing projects would be really perfect). Label imported elements: Allows adding labels to imported elements for better organization. There you go, I think that if these small changes could be incorporated into Premiere Pro and After Effects directly by Adobe and that this tool is well worked it could allow us all to be faster in our work.
I'd like to see direct integration of MacOS Lightroom (desktop) with the system/Apple iCloud Photos library in the same way that it's accessible on the iOS/iPadOS versions. Those allow for direct import from, and direct saving back to, the library. Currently, I operate a mixed Photos/Lightroom workflow. I don't automatically import everything into Lightroom for a variety of reasons. I take plenty of snapshots that aren't really worth any time in Lightroom or worth taking up space in the LR cloud; there's also a huge value in easy access to the integrated iCloud Photos library across the Apple ecosystem; etc. However, there are often sets of photos that I'd like to manage for a while and edit in Lightroom, then likely later export back out to the iCloud Photos library for general use/sharing/etc. The process is messy on desktop but a dream on iOS/iPadOS. Currently I end up using a mixed workflow where I am handling Lightroom import from iCloud Photos on iPad/iPhone, waiting for the CC sync to desktop, and editing on desktop. Then, to get a version back into Photos, I switch back over to my iPad/iPhone, and use the "export to device" feature in Lightroom mobile to get it back into iCloud Photos. The stronger integration in iOS/iPadOS that I'd like to see on the Mac: - Direct browsing and import from Photos library into Lightroom in original format with full metadata. This is doable on the desktop, but requires a few extra export steps (export unmodified originals onto the hard drive > import into Lightroom desktop > delete the ones I exported onto the HDD). It's smooth and easy to import and add to specific albums on the mobile app. (There is an ability to choose "edit with Lightroom" in Photos on desktop that appears to be a direct import, but it turns the original photo into a TIFF and strips a bunch of metadata before sending it to Lightroom for separate import. Not helpful in 99% of cases.) - Direct saving back into Photos library using "Save copy to device." Most of this can also be replicated on desktop, but there's no actual integration (again, have to export to finder > import to photos > delete exported batch). - Crucially, saving directly to the device ("camera roll") on iOS/iPadOS also makes Photos add an extra tag to the image as being saved from Lightroom. The tag is viewable in Photos. It's some sort of system metadata—not a keyword. This is very useful when trying to find edited versions of photos, a batch of edited photos out of Lightroom that didn't get put into a Photos album properly, or to just understand the provenance of items within the Photos library. - Less useful, but sometimes helpful: In some cases when browsing device photos, Lightroom on mobile/iPad will even automatically identify which photos I've already imported into Lightroom before I select additional ones to import. It's not perfect, and isn't a critical feature, but can be nice. So, I'd love to be able to not switch devices back and forth or add cumbersome steps whenever interacting with the iCloud Photos library. The fact that Lightroom desktop now can directly access/edit/import files on the local filesystem brings me hope that the team is looking beyond just the Adobe cloud on desktop, and I hope that reaches the iCloud Photos library as well.
Premiere Pro has some areas where it feels a bit clunky. For example, when I lower the audio using keyframes, I want to reduce it to the absolute lowest possible level, or ideally, silence. The natural behavior should place the audio line at the very bottom of the track, presumably at the track's visual bottom edge. However, the issue is that there appears to be additional space below the audio line (see inset photo).
Close gap is a great feature but I cannot think of sutiations I'll use it in practice because it only works when there are straight through vertical gaps which at least in my workflow happens like never...What I suggest is to make Premiere Pro close gaps on individual tracks. For example, if you select a part of a track or a group of tracks:- thus it may work like ripple deleting the gaps but only within the selection:Or just add an ability for the Close gap to work on a track if all the other tracks are blocked (see the video below):
For years in Photoshop; you select your text - which covers it in a semi-grey banner, but when you open your colour picker, the banner vanishes and you get to see your chosen colour applied to the font *without* having to de-select it to see how it suits it's surroundings. Can we please have this basic functionality in Premerie? I know we can change the color from the 'Effect Controls' panel without drag-selecting the text, but that's only after typing and is a blanket colour switch for all text in the box.
in a recent version or so, I noticed you added "crop" to the "effect Controls" tab of a clip (so we wouldnt have to add crop ourselves). however i find it strange that it doesnt have the "Edge feather" option that comes with the normal crop found in the "effects -> video effects -> transform -> crop". Leaving out the 'edge feather' parameter, was that intentional or is that a bug?
Please add the option to mute the track and toggle sync lock when the track is locked. I often use these features and have to unlock the track multiple times.Fun fact: if the track is locked and I press mute track or toggle sync lock with Shift, it affects the locked tracks, even though logically it shouldn't.
Next to adding monitor zoom to the middle mouse button, one of the most annoying things Adobe has ever done is the Discontinuation of Creative Cloud Synced files ( not holding shift when proportionally enlarging in Photoshop unlike literarally every other Adobe app is a close 3rd.) But unlike the others complaints, the Discontinuation of Creative Cloud Synced Files cost me $100 when a Premiere project file was deleted by acccident and I didn't have a backup and had to buy some disk file retrieval app to recover it. I knew it would happen. Trying to remember to copy my projects over to Dropbox was bound to fail eventually. Is this really that expensive for you Adobe? Seriously. This is ridiculous. I can't think of anything anymore that doesn't have some kind of cloud backup service now. And when there are so many viable, cheaper and even free alternatives from the competition you decide to remove this feature? But if Cloud Sync is too hard for you at least give us the abililty to set our Project backup directory to a local snyc folder like Dropbox, OneDrive etc. Thank you.
A smart album to show metadata fields that are empty would be very helpful. For example, a smart album that shows which photos do not have gps information or do not have anything in the location field. I assign full location information to my photographs. The majority of my photos imported into Lightroom desktop have gps information in the metadata. Lightroom will automatically assign information to the Country, City and State/Provence fields using the gps coordinates. I type information into the Location field. Occasionally gps data is not assigned. It would be very helpful to be able to quickly identify photographs where the gps and location fields are empty rather than going through them one by one.
Is it possible to see when a named license for Adobe Creative Cloud was last effectively active and used?
I know you can copy a nest in a project bin and it becomes a "new" nest, but this doesn't copy all effects and position applied to it.It would be nice to have a way to choose whether you are copying or creating a new nest when you drag and copy in the timeline.Maybe the ability to change the default behaviour OR a dialogue box that asks COPY or CREATE NEW Nest
Does anyone know if it's possible to filter the folders in the Folder Panel using any kind of logical operators or anything more advanced than every word being an OR search? For example, I have a bunch of folder names containing the term "Final X", such as 2018.06.08 - Final X Lincoln and 2023.06.09-10 - Final X & BTS. If I type in final in the Filter Folders search bar, it will filter all of those Final X folders, but it will also include folders like "Final Images" or "Tournament Finals". That's all well and good. But then if I try to filter it further, by entering final x, I end up adding in any folder name that contains the letter x, like OBX 2012 and Exported, instead of further filtering down to folders that contain the entire search term. I've tried adding quotation marks around it (both single and double) like "final x", enclosing the term in parentheses (), brackets [], and braces {}, using a boolean operator like final AND x. None of those do anything. Any ideas?
I beg you please add burst mode feature when shooting DNG photos, like default iPhone camera app. I used a camera app "Pro camera by Moment". It supports taking burst photos in RAW format. I sometimes find burst mode very useful in certain situations.
Snapable image corners for any number of tools or, more specifically, the elliptical marque tool in Photoshop. For those occassions when preciscely placing the round peg in the square hole is de rigeur, or however that is spelled.
PROBLEM: If you have multiple pre-comps with 3D layers that need to be resolved within their individual pre-comps and then continuosly rasterized within your main comp, the only way to have them all share the same 3D space is to copy the 3D camera into each pre-comp, or link each camera to a single null in the main comp. SOLUTION: Allow users to define a single 3D camera layer from any comp and have it dynamically link so that all pre-comps referencing that camera will move within a shared 3D space
I loved using the "handwriting" freehand stroke feature found inside the graphics tool in Avid DS. I wish a similar tool could be added to Adobe After Effects. It makes masking scripty fonts for 'handwriting' on screen so easy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqQvkVHBbMo
Instead of wasting all the space below; why not allow sizeable audio tracks so I can actually see the change in song type and not have to guess? The ending song clip has a crescendo a few frames into the intro song, this is frustrating because I have no idea where it is in my timeline as my transition blocks the visual, and the introducing song is directly after. I want to transition, but am not able to make it clean.Being able to view the exact waveform in a window that has been taken over by this EXACT thing I am doing, would be wonderful.
The fact that Versions And History aren't available for Local or after Archive to Local is absurd. This isn't some technical-cloud-dependent feature like AI search is. Please allow this basic functionality across LR.
Allow text to be aligned vertically in a bounding box for textThis is the corresponding tool in InDesign
