Ich möchte ein Inhaltsverzeichnis erstellen, welches doppelte Begriffe erkennt und dann nur bei den Seitenzahlen soll es alle Seiten anzeigen auf welcher der Begriff vorkommt? Wie geht das? 

Hi. I have a text box that has two paragraphs - one in english and one in hebrew: When the caret goes over the text* in English, it changes my keyboard input to English, and when I go to the text in Hebrew, it changes it to Hebrew. * to be more accurate, when I place the caret somewhere in the English/Hebrew paragraph, it doesn't change my input language. Only when I move the caret (with the arrow keys, for example) it will then change the input language. All these changes are a burden and make my work extremely slow, and I've never seen an app that changes your input language for you. I haven't found any info on this issue, so I wonder if it's a bug.I'm using Indesign 2022 on my Windows 11 laptop. Thanks!  

i am getting a problem with my indesign file. suddenly my document came out and after I reopened the text frame my work disappeared and a notification appeared. Story text begins - R25. Has anyone experienced this and can provide a solution? Thank You!     <Title renamed by MOD>

i am working on annual report of 300 pages where on every page there is so many borders to apply on figures  the issue i am facing is when i select 4 rows and single column and apply border to the cell 0.25 pt its fine manually, selected cells when i create new cell style and apply the style on same cells nothing happens the plus sign shows with style name, when option click on style name style applies but the bottom line is missing    now i want to clear the plus sign  when i click on style style applies  and bottom line to complete border what i am missing here. thanks for help         <Title renamed by MOD>

Just notice it today : there is no shortcut (and it cannot be created !) for Layout>Pages>Duplicate Spread... 😕😕Why that adobe ?? 😞

I am using ID to lay out a long novel. The book is broken into 6 indd documents and stitched together with one indb document. I recently used the "Package Book for Print" tool to make a fresh copy of the book to enter editor's corrections in a fresh copy.  In the previous mode, when I opened the book, the 6 indd files AND the 1 indb file would show up in the Book panel. After creating the new folder with "Package Book for Print" only the 6 indd files show up in the Book panel. Not the indb file. Everything works fine, but when I close the document, the indb file doesn't recognise the old indb file and acts as if it is being saved for the first time and replaces it. Any idea what is going on?

In Excel you can select rows in the first column and see the number of rows selected at the base of the document window. Is there some way to get this info in an InDesign table?

Okay, don't come at me. Not looking for a lecture on bounding boxes, I understand their purpose. I  just don't like them very much. When I find myself in situations where they are more cumbersome than helpful, I would love to be able to turn them off. Is this possible?  Thanks in advance!

Boa tarde! Estou montando um catálogo de moda, e adicionei as legendas pelos nomes do arquivos, porém não estou conseguindo excluir todas as legendas em todas as páginas de uma vez só. Queria uma maneira de selcionar todas e excluir. Imagino que tenha alguma ferramenta que selecione todos os objetos de uma vez só. Outra opção, seria alterar o parágrafo de texto, mas não me entendi com essa função também.

I'm formatting lists in a 200-page reflowable epub. Numbered levels have subsidiary paragraphs that need to indent with no space above. A diagram is attached. The InDesign paragraph styles are correct but, of course, it doesn't export like that. Not only that, but I'm getting random corruptions each time I export the file from InDesign. In xhtml I'm getting spacing between the <li>s and the paragraphs that follow since they aren't part of the <ol>. Before I spend any more time trying to sort out the 14 list tags in CSS, can anyone tell me if this is even possible? Thanks. InDesign 19.5 x64 on Windows 11 Pro

Can I get some guidance, please?   In the attached video you can see and hear the problem I am having with the text.   It shows a text box with left alignment, but when I want to send the word from the lower left corner to the upper right corner, it does not go up, even though there is plenty of space in the text box.   Why does this happen, do I have some configuration that prevents it?   The invisible characters show only the space between one word and another... there doesn't seem to be any special character that forces the word not to go up to the top line...   Thanks!         <Title renamed by MOD>

I've nearly completed a 272-page coffee-table photo book. Two weeks ago after doing some final edits, I saved the file to both my Mac desktop and to an external hard drive. The file is 122gb. I tried to revisit the file a couple of days later and can no longer open it in InDesign. Whenever I try to open any file for the book, even older version files, it starts to load with the blue bar indicator slowly advancing from left to right. When it reaches about halfway (and after about 5 minutes), the bar and text saying it is loading simply dissappears. I have the files backed up to print-quality pdfs, but the print house designer won't be able to make any adjustments. I've sent the innd file to the print house graphic designer for them to start readying it for print, and they cannot open it either. HELP!      <Title renamed by MOD>

when I export my file to PDF lines appear. They do not correspond to real blocks on indesign.When I make an export text in jpeg these lines do not appear.How to fix the problem of exporting to PDF?     <Title renamed by MOD>

Using the current Indesign. I set up a template for adding  text, and the text overflows so that I need to add a new page.  For some reason add page is reversed.  When I set it to add page after, it adds the page before the current page, and when I select add page before, it places the new page after.  Any suggestions on where to fix this? In my Indesign document I see that some links are used for a third time. But doesn't have pagenumber where I can find/see the actual picture. I can't replace that picture for something else. Also I can't approach the picture. So it almost looks like some sort of ghost-link.Is there a way to clean the Indesign-file?

Anyone else here not seeing InDesign 2025 (v20) available to install? We have a large team of users (all on Apple M2 Max running Ventura 13.7) and none are seeing it. Our admin has made several attempts to resolve this but there seems to be a language barrier as their answer is only that they support 2 versions back. No mention of why its not available.  I suspect its just not released for the enterprise channel...? 

Hi All, I have a book file with 67 files. When I first ran Export to reflowable epub, all the Frontmatter breaks worked. I had to make some changes within the book (other chapters) and now, although the paragraph styles have the Split box checked -- it isn't working. I've spent hours on this to no avail. I tried going back to the original print version and setting it up for epub -- but same issues -- nothing worked. This is only on the Frontmatter. The rest of the book breaks as it should. Same Paragraph Styles. I've created many ebooks and never had this problem before. I checked back with my previous epub files and copied, again, what I did before -- no good. What am I missing?   Windows 11, latest IDCC updates.     <Title renamed by MOD>
