Hello,Can anyone help me with the following questions.1) I have a file made in InDesign and want to save as PDF. I choose one of the presettings (PDF/X-1a:2001) but it won't process. It gets stuck at 4% and will not progress.  2) I can export the InDesign file to a (interactive) PDF file, but the PDF created can not be printed. I checked if i could print the InDesign file, that works fine. So I think the problem is caused by converting to any form of PDF file.. Anyone familiar with this? Thaks for your help in advance.Greets Chantal      <Title renamed by MOD>

Hello!Every time I go to make an edit a text box in Indesign a little panel pops up attached to my cursor to give me options like "Caps, superscript, etc". I dont need it and becuase it wont go away I have to input twice to add my text and get it to disappear. I have to keep doing it with every text box.Is there a way of turning off this selection? Thanks

By flat, I mean :Vector content is rasterized to pixelsAll layers on the page are flattened to oneAnything outside the visible canvas is cropped off (This essentially amounts to binding a bunch of JPGs into a book and telling it where the covers/spreads are.)We can do this pretty easily when exporting mixed content to PDF from PS, but every export option I tried in ID results in the text being selectable. It should be pixels like the artwork (for this version). Thanks!

How do I export my InDesign file to the print.bureau, including font and illu.     <Title renamed by MOD>

Is there a scriptable way to Option-Double-Click (Edit Original) a vector AI graphic and have it load into Illustrator; not Acrobat?

1. I create an InDesign page with x number of boxes.2. I select the script and it asks me to point it to an AI file. This AI file has multiple pages the same size as the boxes in the iNDD doc. 3. the script then fills the selected boxes in the INDD file with the AI doc pages. Perfect! But, once the import is completed, if there are any boxes left, the script fills them with the first page of the imported AI file. I need them to remain blank. For example, I create an INDD file with 126 boxes. I select those boxes and activate the script. It imports all 220 pages form the AI file then continues on to fill the remaining 16 boxes with the first page of the AI file. I've tried everyhitng I can think of, but cant figure out how to stop that. I have tried to export and indesign file to adobe acrobat interactive pdf and everytime I have tried indesign sends a warning saying 'Unable to view this file because acrobat was not found.Check your acrobat installation.' I have also uninstalled adobe acrobat and reinstalled it and tried again and it still does not work.

J'ai travaillé sur un fichier de 116 pages en vis à vis et je souhaiterais le remettre en page à page et l'envoyer, mais rien ne se passe il reste en planche. Dois je faire une manipulation autre que sur le format du document ? Et enfin on me demande d'exporter un PDF en page à page, excepté la 1re et 4e de couverture qui doivent être en planche (sur le même fichier) quelqu'un peut il m'indiquer la marche a suivre ? hello,    about one week ago, i can not open my Indesign, that time it was version 2024, also i can not log in my adobe creative cloud, it was always in the loading page.    i have tried to reinstall the adobe creative cloud, it does not work, i have tried 5 times, and i can log in. then i have reinstall my indesign and also update to indesign 2025. it seems fine from then.    today my indesign crash down again and i can no longer open it, it crash down everytime. meanwhile, i can not open my creative cloud either.    i am using macbook with m1 max chip.    please, i am using indesign everyday and i really troubles me, i cant work at all.    thanks      <Title renamed by MOD>

I often work with multiple page documents in which all pages have been given " Lock All On Spread." For years, I've used a script that would instantly Unlock All on Spread for the entire document. Is InD 2025 incompatible with this script? If not, does anyone know where I can find it again? (I'm using OS 14.6.1)     <Title renamed by MOD>

Hi I resently saw, that the new version of InDesign should allow Cloud Documents like Illustrator and Photoshop but I cant use it. If I click "save as" it shows my folders like it always did but doesnt have the feature like the other programs to press "save in the cloud"  could you help me wtih this ?  I just checked I have the newest version installed.    <Title renamed by MOD>  

Hello!   I am currently working on a publication and they have their logo in the lower corners throughout the entire publication. The client expressed concerns that it was too fuzzy and so I rebuilt the a vector.    When linking the new vector to the Parent spread, and applying it to the repective pages, nothing seems to take. The other logo remains. The old logo on the interior spreads is within a gray box that cannot be moved or accessed, which confuses me because I cannot locate any other locked elements in my layers panel and the unlock feature in the objects panel is not available to me (assuming because I can't even select it).    The biggest source of my confusion is this: All the links that I can see and are listed in the panel have been changed to the new vector (PNG), applied to other pages and still remains unchanged. Trying to make some quick edits here. I.E. Basic highlight a number and then press a new number to replace EXCEPT when I do this it doesn't "take" unless I press the key again. Only happens on single digit/numeral replacements, doesn't matter how much I highlight. Am I missing a safety preference or something?I just updated to the latest beta release - maybe that's the culprit? Any guidance is appreciated.

Greetings InDesigners,I am producing a document for my club which started out as a document to be printed I used CMYK colorspace.Now they want to post it online and email in PDF format. How do I take an existing CMYK colorspace document and convert it to RGB?I am new to Indesign and have been told by others that it can't be done. Hey I have a problem when exporting PDF's from InDesign.  Sometimes with certain glyphs, the exported PDF drops the last letter.  Any idea why this happens? Sorry for the language, but I don't think it matter   Thank you!     <Title renamed by MOD>

Hello, I've seen a couple of similar posts, but can't find anything specific on this.  When I load in Design, it looks like it is about to start up normally, then diverts to this darker grey screen. No response with any element of the interface: It's still using CPU/memory, so something is happening.I have tried deleting cache settings, full purge and re-install. Installing older versions. Installing on other SSD. I have tried v19.0 and v20.0.v19.0 nearly loads... I get slightly further before it all freezes. Checked firewall Low on ideas now, save for wiping my PC and I would rather not do that 

Hello all, see above image. I've made a view tables with one table style. They all come out perfect except for this one. The line on the right side is not showing. You can see by the middle line (which is slightly shorter) that the program knows there should be something. I've tried everything but cannot fix it? 5 InDesign files (all different saved versions of the same original file) that I have been working on since August of this year have all disappeared and are not visible anywhere in my file structure. I had the latest one open and was working on it as recently as last Monday, and now all versions of that file are gone without a trace. Has this happened to anyone? I am going to have to recreate it from the jpgs that I exported and sent to the client. What a nightmare!     <Title renamed by MOD>
