Ich bin entsetzt, mit dem neuen Feature kann jetzt jeder meine Design abgreifen und selbst weiterführen!? Was denkt sich Adobe dabei? Ich überlege umzuschulen, denn Adobe zerstört meine Einkommensquelle - für die ich mir viel Expertise hart erarbeitet habe. Wie kann man so mit seinen Kunden umgehen. Ich bin empört.

I use an Apple M1 Max with Sequioa 15.5 OS. I am happy to use InDesign 2026. I don't experience the problems I had with InDesign 2025 (which were extremely frustrating). But one thing that does not seem to work in InDesign 2026 is textwrap. I can activate the text wrap panel, but I don't see any options. If I click on the menu (Hamburger) only the text 'show options' appears in a separate frame, but I can't see anything more after clicking this. Please find some screenshots below (I am using the Dutch version of InDesign).   

Why does the header bar with the file name of the document show the file name twice and the header bar is so thick? How do I just show the file name once and make the bar thinner? ThanksC

How do I populate a series of text frames with a list of numbers from an Excel file in ID? 

Hi, I have a front cover and a contents page on the poetry pamphlet I am creating and a few spare blank pages before the poems start. I have worked out how to get the numbers starting from the start of the poems, but when I do the insert type marker thing, it sets the page number to the actual number of the page, not 1, which I want the first page to be numbered as. Also, I have added a text box to the opposite page (facing page) and have done the same special character, type, marker process, but the numbers are not applying automatically to the whole document, even though they are all A-parent. I hope someone can help, this is driving me insane and wouldn't work on Word or Libre Office either.

I'm having issue of long text anchor name and hyperlink not functioning correctly when spacing changes in the paragraph. Inside the x-ref panel, a yellow triangle appeared in InDesign and when exported as PDF it will not take me to the destination page. I can fix it by updating the x-ref and all is good. However, I want to create proper spacing in the paragraph. Any suggestions or should I stick creating in the Hyperlink Panel, New Hyperlink Destination? Thank you.

J'ai souscrit à un abonnement, qui inclut InDesign dans sa formule, sachant que je ne voulais à l'origine QUE InDesignOr, c'est le seul logiciel de la formule que je ne peux pas installerUne fenêtre s'ouvre, me demandant si je veux essayer la version gratuite, OU l'acheter (une 2ème fois ????) . why don't i see this verticalay aligned?? 

Estoy trabajando en InDesign 2026 (macOS) y en un documento específico aparecen líneas negras horizontales sobre el texto (especialmente en títulos como “Capítulo 1”).Datos clave:No son guías, subrayados ni bordes.No es resaltado de estilo ni de composición (el menú Ver → Extras no muestra esas opciones y el ícono del rayo abre Aplicación Rápida en lugar de “Resaltar anulaciones”).El estilo no usa cuadrícula base (“Alinear con cuadrícula” está en Ninguna).Sucede usando Source Serif Variable.El problema solo ocurre en este documento; si creo un archivo nuevo o abro una plantilla oficial de Adobe, el texto se ve normal.Ya probé: cambiar zoom, desactivar GPU, recrear marcos, restablecer espacio de trabajo, sustituir fuente, limpiar estilos, copiar contenido a un documento nuevo, etc.Parece un bug gráfico, conflicto con fuente variable o ajuste oculto heredado del archivo original.¿Es un fallo conocido en InDesign 2026 con fuentes variables o alineación de párrafo?¿Hay alguna forma de forz

how can I make a paragraph style tos stay with the previous style

In a recent book project, I found that I could no longer save the book file (required everytime the page numbers update, or new documents are added, etc). I could only do a save as. Is this a bug? I want to keep saving to the same file without going through the overwrite permissions.

PROBLEM 1: Whenever I attempt to add Alt Tags to images in InDesign, it only sometimes remembers.PROBLEM 2: I also have to do certain steps twice to even add the Alt Tag in the first place. Specifically, I mean that when I attempt to select "Custom", I have learned that I have to select "Custom", then leave the dialogue box, then come back in and add the Alt Tag in the Custom field. This is a bug within a bug! Repeat steps to add the Alt Tag, but then it forgets them half the time! The reason I even do it in InDesign so that I don't have to keep doing it to the PDF each time I export one. If InDesign worked correctly, it would mean I only have to enter the Alt Tag once.PROBLEM 3: Furthermore, having read the forums (and through personal experience), the Alt Tags might STILL be forgotton when it gets exported to PDF! Triple-whammy bug! Please, Adobe... Stop adding features to all your software and fix more bugs!Note: before someone suggests bringing Adobe Bridge into the workflow... I h

When I transfer a Word doc into InDesign the endnotes are lost. The reference numbers in the text also disappear. How can I keep all those elements together?

Hello, I created an InDesign file with several hyperlinks to URLs. They all work fine except one specific link. It works fine when I click on iit in the list in the Hyperlink Panel, going right to the proper webpage, and has a green dot to the right signifying that it should work.  But while exporting the file to an interactive pdf, I get the warning "The document contains links to files that are missing or modifed, or links to inaccessible URLs..."  I create the pdf anyway, and sure enough, all the links work except that one. I've deleted and re-added it several times, checked the URL, checked that the link listed in the hyperlink panel works, and even created the link in Microsoft Word, where it works just fine. Worse still, I tried creating the link in Acrobat, and it doesn't work there, either. If I highlight the link text nothing happens, after I'd created it. I've re-booted the computer, and everything else I can think of: nada. For some reason Adobe

I'm using the paid version of InDesign and the "export package" button in is not clickable.I've already tried closing the file, and even closing the whole program and reopening it, but it doesn't fix it.

We are working on multiple InDesign books for 5 different contracts, within each contract there are approximately 80 docs in a book. Is there a solution to update all the "Prefix Section Makers" within the Numbering & Section Options panel. I have a Section maker on the master pages, placed the Section Marker in the Numbering & Section options panel, checked "Include Prefix when Numbering Pages." In the book sync menu, there is an option to change the document numbering options, but you can only change one document at a time in a book. Is there a workaround?

Hello,  In the office there a large indesign doc that is being passed arround - numerous people are adding media to the file, packaging it and then passing it on.  However, I have noticed that some media, by some a lot, of media is missing.  What cuases some images to not be packaged and some to be packaged, for example on my work PC all images are linked nothing missing yet, the packaged file is missing a lot if images.  They are sorced from different places, some my work desktop, others on company servers etc does this cuase the breaking - although even images from my own work pc failed to package etc  Any experience or tips useful, thanks  Smyth

Bonjour, suite à la nouvelle version Indesign, je m'aperçois que les tabulations (via sa micro-fenêtre dédiée) disparaissent dès que je touche la 1ère, alors que j'en ai déjà placé plusieurs après. C'est assez contre-productif car je dois sans arrêt remettre les tabu, les re-déplacer, etc. Cette nouvelle version n'est vraiment pas optimale par rapport à sa version précédente...Qui plus est, l'action dégrouper fait disparaître la sélection des blocs qui étaient groupés. Cette fonction était très pratique sur les versions passées, désormais je dois re-sélectionner mes blocs, un par un, parfois pour juste en dégrouper un au final... pas optimale encore une fois.

My large two-page file won't export; when I try to export it, the program freezes and immediately closes.

After the update, my InDesign is acting very weird, the whole app is in English and I want it in Dutch, and my keyboard isn't working properly. I can type, but I can't use backspace or Enter, and the delete key doesn't always work either. The previous version was 100 times better.

Hello, I'm having issues with my text box changing the tracking and leading after placing it on the page. How can I fix this? Image 2 is how I want my text box to look, and Image 1 is the issues I'm having. Image 1  Image 2 

When I have text that is out of frame (overset), I usually resize the textframe to check for any issues, and then resize the entire frame while holding command + shift to scale down the entire text while keeping the tracking and leading proportionally to the original. However I noticed today that any text that is still overset will be ignored with this scaling. Resulting in parts of the text being too big. The same happens when I scale using the percentages from the top toolbar. When I scale a textframe that is completely overset, none of the text will get scaled.  I've added a video with an example of this behaviour. What I would expect is for all the text to scale down proportionally, even when it's cut off. Except for when the text continues in another textframe. I suppose this may be the reason why it works this way, since it would influence how much text can fit the frame while also affecting the size of that text. It would at least make sense to me to allow users to sca

InDesign can’t package my document because it says it cannot copy the linked files from my Synology NAS. All permissions appear correct, but InDesign keeps refusing to package. Saving the INDD locally, choosing a different destination, reinstalling, and reconnecting to the NAS as a registered user didn’t help. Has anyone experienced this issue or found a way to make InDesign successfully package from an SMB share? [Moved from the CC Desktop forum by moderator]   <Title renamed by MOD>
