I am getting worried and pretty desperate. I got a Mac M4 and downloaded lightroom and transfered by catalog on to the M4. My lightroom clasic is working insanely slowly so so that it take hours to move a few pictres from one folder to the next, deleting a file takes minutes, and moving from one file to another also takes along time. I tried to move a folder from one external hardrive toanother and I could not do it (3000 pictres). On my old compter I could do it all and fast (that compter was 12 years old). I do not know where the problem is. Please help me. NB: I had Adobe on the line for two hours and the staff could not come with solutions. The second level assistance was reqested but after more than a week, I have still not received a call. [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
In the latest Version of LrC 15.5, the import does not import images where previews are not yet loaded in import dialog. This behavior is different to previews versions, where no matter whether a preview was loaded, an images was imported. As I do not use the import dialog to (pre-) select images, I used to click on “Import” as soon as the button was active. For memory cards with thousands of pictures, waiting for all previews to be loaded makes not much of a sense and when clicking import, only importing those with a preview loaded is a misleading functionality. I’ve verified this new behavior 3 times with different memory cards from different cameras.
Lightroom Classic 15.4.1 on Windows: 1–2 second UI stalls when selecting photos — WPR trace points to MFC/Win32 window-handle processing Hello, I am investigating a persistent Lightroom Classic performance problem on Windows. Selecting a different image can freeze the entire Lightroom interface for approximately 1–2 seconds. This does not appear to be caused by RAW decoding, storage performance, the catalog, previews, GPU acceleration, plug-ins, or monitor refresh technology. Windows Performance Recorder traces consistently point to Lightroom’s main UI thread spending substantial CPU time in MFC and Win32 window-handle processing. ## System configuration - Lightroom Classic 15.4.1 Build: 202606201310-b9f148a4 - Camera Raw 18.4 - Windows 11 Business, build 26200.8737 - AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, 16 cores / 32 threads - 32 GB RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, 11 GB VRAM - NVIDIA driver 591.86 - Catalog stored on an NVMe SSD - 12 MP RAW files stored on another NVMe SSD - Approxima
I had to create a new catalog and reimport all my photos. By importing from a previous catalog I got my collections back but not the publishing services like JF Flickr and Adobe stock. I have reinstalled JF Flickr, reauthorized in Flickr, without results. Can anyone help?
Hi Community,I’m experiencing severe performance issues with Lightroom. The app is extremely slow, barely usable, while all other Adobe Suite apps run smoothly on my system.I’ve tried restarting the app, change settings, edit on my SSD but the issue persists. I haven’t made any recent changes to my setup that would explain this. I use Windows 11, release 15.2.1 and Camera Raw 18.2.2Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this? Thanks in advance for your help!
I want to just open adobe lightroom but it take me through the creative cloud and then it looks weird and not what it used to be before it got deleted. I want to just open my lightroom but i can’t and it looks the mobile version, i’m on windows 11 PC. I’ve linked an image as to what i have to open to get to lightroom and i don’t want to do that.
Lightroom Classic v 15.4 backup attempt results in progress reporter showing “Checking catalog integrity → Copying catalog → Compressing catalog backup,” then reports “Lightroom was unable to back up the catalog named “Lr6 Catalog-v15-4”. Please check your folder permissions, and make sure that you have available space on your backup drive and main catalog’s drive.”Lightroom has full disc access and backup folder is specifically set to “read & write” for all users. The backup generator writes a folder named for the backup date into the Lightroom “Backups” folder, but that dated folder remains empty.System specs: iMac Pro (2017) OS Sequoia 15.7.7, with Mac SSD 2 TB with 790 GB available (far more than the size of a catalog). Chosing a different folder at parent level produces same result. Restarting Lightroom produces same result. Restarting iMac and Lightroom produces same result. Lightroom restarts and functions (for now), but I am unable to back up my catalog. Thanks for a
it says “Adobe Lightroom Classic” is damaged and can’t be opened. The file was downloaded on an unknown date...
Even submitting this report has a problems. The category selection is organized weird as well. The Denoise function in Lightroom classic constantly need to be updated and never actually updates. The image never stays denoised. It just keeps asking the user to update and fails without notification of it. It just prompts you to update the denoise function again.
I import CR3 files in daily directories into my catalog. I process the CR3 files then export them converting them to JPG I then import the JPG files to put back into the daily directory they came from and to keyword them. The counters on all the directories are set to zero after this import. I have to exit and restart Lightroom to get the counters reset to their actual number of files in each folder. If I delete the CR3's as no longer necessary the counter goes negative by the number of photos removed.
I’ve already tried every option to improve or fix the slowness in Lightroom’s Develop module. Nothing worked—nothing at all—except downgrading to an earlier version (but that’s absurd; I pay to have the best).
I’d love to see Adobe introduce AI-powered keywording in Lightroom. With several AI features already added, AI keyword generation feels like the next logical step.I have a relatively small catalog of around 8,000 images, yet keywording is still by far the most time-consuming part of my workflow. I haven’t found another Lightroom task that takes as much time and effort. An AI feature that could automatically suggest accurate keywords would make organising photo libraries much more efficient, allowing photographers to spend less time managing catalogs and more time editing, sharing, and enjoying their images. Is AI keywording something Adobe is actively considering for a future release? I’m sure many Lightroom users would find it a valuable addition.

LR Classic not opening. Macbook Pro, Tahoe 26.6. I have tried various options, including reinstalling the software and restarting the app, testing catalog integrity etc. Any suggestions?
I have a new laptop which I have installed my creative cloud elements. I can open a verson of Lightroom but cannot open Lightroom classic.
I am having a hard time understanding editing off of a hard drive. I understand smart previews and how it generally works (all on LrC), but I don't understand the importing process. When I got the photos I wanted to import off of the folder on my hard drive, I just clicked import. Am I supposed to be doing something with the "add" button? Also, I'm not understanding collections. Are they a good equivalent to albums? And should I even use them if I have the folder connected to LrC through my hard drive? How do I move the photos to a collection if needed? Will storage be used if collections are used? For reference, I am a portrait photographer editing/culling about 600 photos and delivering galleries of about 100.
I have been using Lightroom AI Denoise for years. I haven't changed cameras, have not updated my camera, and have not changed RAW settings on my camera. All of a sudden AI Denoise no longer works.
Lightroom Classic 15.4.1 always quit unexpectedly under MacOS Tahoe 26.6 beta when using Silver Efex Pro 3.0 plug in
When I switch to the developement modul, the warning sign in the thumbnails don’t show anymore. When I switch back to Bibliothek, they show again. How can I get rid of the red symbol with the white "X" on my thumbnails in the bibliothec modul? All pictures are correctly connected on the hard drive; lightroom can show them in the finder. Is it a problem with the new analyzing tool?
LRC v15.4.1 will not open. I do not want to open a catalogue, just the LRC app. I get a message that an earlier version (loaded on an old computer that is no longer accessible) Lightroom Catalog-2-2-v13-4 is corrupt.
Fix the scaling of the top menu (File, Edit, etc.) so that the size can be changed. On a 4k monitor the size is tiny and not readable. Changing the windows scaling does NOT the make the menus size change. Changing the size in Lightroom preferences also does not change the top menu size. Most other Apps, such Microsoft Word, etc.,. scaling will change the top menu size but in Lightroom. This problem has been around for 5+ years and it is NOT a Windows problem (their Apps scale). See attached screenshot. The ONLY way I found to change it is too change the monitor resolution to something lower than the actual monitor resolution. That is NOT a fix.
Since the recent updates I have intermittently experienced a number of issues when using Lightroom Classic 15.4.1 on a Windows 11 PC (System info below):program crashed on one or two occasions; program switches from Develop to Library mode by itself; clipping indicators show in green rather than red; ‘Before’ image does not appear when selecting Before / After; Masking fails to find landscape features, subject or object and pop-out closes; Adaptive colour profile does not work.None of these issues were present before the update, and I tried the masking in Lightroom (desktop) without problems on an image where LR Classic failed to find the subject or landscape features. I have tried switching between ‘use graphics processor’ and ‘off’ but it does not seem to make a consistent difference - sometimes things work as expected, the next time they don’t.Lightroom Classic version: 15.4.1 [ 202606201310-b9f148a4 ]License: Creative CloudLanguage setting: enOperating system: Windows 11 - Busine
