Lightroom Classic

I am using LR6 on a win10 PC.  Yesterday I started to have this problem of LR constantly having 2 images selected in library grid view.  If I switch to diffent folder the first 2 images get selected. No matter what I do there are always 2 files selected.  I have tried rebooting, restarting LR, all the ways of deselecting etc.  I just can't get it to select a single file.  Is LR stuck in a mode I am not aware of or what?

Since today LR selects sometimes 2 photo's (not in compare mode).1 photo with a white and  1 with a black mark in the upper right corner.Due to this problem it's no longer possible to choose new photo's with the cursor keys. It's only switching between the 2 selected photo's.  

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a bug, but I just noticed that if I take a picture using Highlight-weighted metering, the metadata-field in Lightroom Classic is empty.If I take pictures using one of the other metering modes (Matrix metering, Center-weighted metering or Spot metering) the metadata is displayed correcty.I am using a Nikon Z6III, Firmware 2.00 an Lightroom Classic 15.0, Camera Raw 18.0

I'm about to lose my freaking mind.  LRC forced me to upgrade my catalog, now I can't re-open my old one.  Do not have access to any of my work.  Please advise ASAP.  TIA

I've recently started shooting video in Nikon's N-RAW format, which also creates an MP4 file as a preview.  I've been experimenting with using LRC as my asset management even for video since I'm heavily invested in it for managing my stills, and I'm often shooting both stills and video so keeping them together in the same collection is helpful.  Since LRC doesn't really understand NEV files, my plan was to manage the MP4 files in LRC and use some shell scripts to move things where their corresponding MP4 files ended up.  However I accidentally discovered that Lightroom was marking my NEV files as sidecar files, so if I moved the MP4 file, it moved the NEV file with it.  This was awesome and just what I wanted, and made my life easier.  Then all of a sudden it stopped working.  I didn't update LRC (that I can remember) nor did I change my workflow (that I can think of).   Now it seems to just never work, and googling seems to indicate it

I'm working with Lightroom Classic and I synchronize some collections with the cloud. Everything works fine, I can access these cloud based photos using a browser. Now I would like to access these cloud photos using the Lightroom API. I can successfully authorize/login using OAuth2 and get an access token, but the catalog request (https://lr.adobe.io/v2/catalog) always returns error 404.What is the problem? Does the Lightroom API not work with Lightroom Classic synchronized collections? Do I need the Lightroom Cloud version?Thanks for help.Kurt

I am trying to create a Slideshow in Lightroom Classic.  I noticed the Export Video, Preview and Play buttons were not active.  After a search, others recommended uninstalling LRC and reinstalling.  Now when I start up the program, I receive the folloiwng message"Dynamic Link Media Server failed to launchSlideshow playback is not possible due to an error. I have Lightroom classic and running most recent version of Catalina.  My drag and drop dragging photos into collections is not working.  I know it's not the computer because I can drag things around on my desktop.  I want to organize photos into collections and I cannot get anything to drag - whether a single photo or several at a time.  

Bonjour, J'utilise Lightroom Classic version 15.0 sur un Macbook pro 16 pouces 2021 tournant sous Sequoia 15.6.  Dans le module impression de Lightroom, l'aperçu ne fonctionne plus : impossible d'obtenir une visualisation de ma photo mise en page en fonction des paramètres définis avant impression.  Quelqu'un a-t-il rencontré ce problème?  J'ai désinstallé puis réinstallé Lightroom, sans résultat.  J'ai effacé mes préférences, sans résultat.

Hello, I am using Lightroom Classic on Mac OS 26.0.1. I have photos that are part of a cloud-synced collection and a local collection. Whenever I undo the action of deleting a photo, I end up with a syncing loop that does not resolve the cloud-based collection. So to clarify, photos are put back into their local collection but not restored to the cloud-based collection. I can restore those photos to the cloud-based collection easily if I go to ligthroom.com. However, Lightroom Classic still will not resolve its sync activity issue, which becomes a nuisance as it prevents me from determining a newly synced collection's status. Any suggestions? Maybe its MacOS app cache issue?   Thanks, Eyad    

Hey allemaal!  Als ik lightroom classic wil openen krijg ik de melding dat de catalogus is beschadigd en de reperatie daarvan even kan duren, Na die melding sluit het zich weer en gebeurt er niks... Ik heb al geprobeerd om de app te verwijderen en weer te instaleren maar dat lukt niet omwillen van dat lightroom nog steeds 'open staat of in gebruik is'  Weet iemand hoe ik dit probleem kan oplossen? 

Hi guysI use 2x Macs, syncing to the exact same Synology Drive folder on my NAS. This is about having the same Lighteoom catalogue available on both Macs. I only use Lightroom on one mac at a time. Is this good practice or advised against? So each mac has Synology Drive client installed, syncing to the exact same folder on my NAS. That will be 3x copies of the same folder / lightroom catalogue. 1, Mac12, Mac23, NAS Home DriveEach Mac to sync to the same Home Drive.  Do you reccomend this practice of syncing a catalogue and use one catalogue on 2x computers?

Removing the person keyword associated with the name assigned to a face rectangle fails to remove that name from the rectangle, and when the photo is exported, that keyword still gets exported even though it's been removed from the photo.   The bug is not present in LR 6.14 (Win 11) or 10.4, 11.0, 12.0 and 12.1 (Mac 15.7.1).  The bug is present in 12.2, 12.3, 13.0, 15.0 (Mac 15.7.1) and 15.0 (Win 11 Intel).   A clumsy workaround for removing the person keyword and name from one or more photos at once, without corrupting the catalog: Place the selected photos in the Quick Collection. Select the Quick Collection. Go to People view. Right-click the face thumbnail for that name and do Move To Unnamed People.   To reproduce:   1. Select a photo and go to Library Loupe view.   2. Using the Draw Face Region tool, draw a face rectangle over any part of the photo.   3. Type "Jane" in the face rectangle's name box and hit enter.   4. In the Keywording

I hesitated to report this because I thought we'd see an update out shortly after Tahoe and i'd wait and see if that addressed it. I've gone through a few MacOS updates and this hasn't changed anything. Yes, i understand a beta version of MacOS isn't supported but still wanted to throw this out there for awareness. MacOS Tahoe (26.1 beta) with Lightroom Classic 14.5.1. Problem is the app window seems to somehow end up moving itself to be positioned under the top Apple menubar. I can go to Window->Fill and it'll move it back into place. But it doesn't stay here, it'll eventually move back up where I can't see the top of the Lightroom window. If the window is not already maximized, i'm unable to double click the top of the window to maximize it. In fact, I can't drag the window in or out at all to resize it either. Lastly, the window somehow randomly moves to my second screen at times. 

I mistakenly identified the wrong person.  So now there are 20+ photos with the wrong name.   This is showing up in the "confirmed" section.  How do I remove the name from this group of photos?  I was hoping that I could drag all these photos from "confirmed" to "similar," but that does not work.

I am getting the attached internal error upon startup of Lightroom every time.  I believe this started occurring after I upgraded to 13.0 however I also upgraded my OS to Sonoma 14.1.1 about the same time. After hitting okay, I am able to import, edit, export, etc with no noticable issues. The one thing I am seeing though is Gallery Synnchornization is stuck in a starting state. I'm on a Macbook pro M1 w/16GB of memory. Anyone see this or have suggestions? Thanks in advance for any info you can share.  

Desde Lightroom 15, al guardar metadatos en ficheros jpg me crea un archivo sidecar ACR, (no XMP).Mi flujo es: importo en lightroom, revelo en lightroom, exporto a jpg, los jpg los ubico en el mapa y pongo titulos, copyright y otros metadatos, pongo palabras clave, y hago CTRL-S para grabar los metadatos en el fichero jpg, y en este momento me crea el fichero ACR.Cada vez que hago un CTRL-S, me crea el fichero otra vez. ¿Es normal?

Help. After updating to ver. 15, lost settings to automatically export metadata w/ file being exported/opened in Photoshop for final polish.  I'm a newbie; I don't how to restore that functionality.

Hello! I have been using Lightroom for a couple months now (my subscription covers Lightroom classic, desktop, and mobile) and recently all of my photos in Lightroom have become pixelated. This pixelation occurred seemingly at random, and happened to all photos I have in Lightroom - it had never been an issue before and I adjusted no settings around the time this began. It makes the photos more difficult to edit, as I typically zoom in quite far to remove small background objects, and the pixelation best be seen once you have zoomed in. The problem goes beyond editing, however, as my photos save with this pixelation as well. This is happening on all versions of Lightroom I use (classic, desktop, and mobile). I will attach examples photos to this post... Here is the first photo, saved to my device in February, before the pixelation happened. Lightroom Classic 15.0 after updating, on Windows 11 latest all.   When using the remove tool, Lightroom adds a pin to show the location. A shortcut for deleting multiple remove spots was to hold down the ALT key and then circle the spots, which removed them. That no longer works in 15.0. It appears to be working normally in Camera Raw. 

Hello, I have been facing a problem regarding my presets not appearing in my profile in lightroom classic v15. (Macbook)  I have tryied multiple times to deselect the ""Store presets with this catalog" and "show partially compatible develop presets" and is still not working.I have also tryied applying them directly in the folder "User presets" inside the "developed presets", and they still don't appear in my list of presets. They also don't appear in "profile" while being in developed mode.I am using raw files and the presets are XMP from authentic love presets. Every time I try to import them again it says the have already been imported but I just can't find them anywhere. I have been using these presets in lightroom classiv v13 and it worked perfectly. Since I have updated to v15, I can't find them anymore.Please, if you had the same problem and know how to fix it, please help. Thank you!
