I have been revisiting previously imported RAW images that have been edited and created DNG Denoised images. I have been deleting the DNG and using the Auto Sync process to apply Denoise to a batch if the Raw images. I there a recommended procedure carry out this function. Presently I am just applying the Denoise with the previous edits in place.
I have a new PC running Windows 11 Pro 24H2. High end system (Core Ultra 9, RTX 5080, 64 GB RAM, etc.). Trying to transfer my Lr Classic from my old system (Windows 10 Pro 22H2).Copied whole Lightroom folder and sub-folders but when I try and open the catalog, it says it's corrupted. Lr then disappears, doesn't even always show up in Task Manager. Tried several backups and ther same happens. Can still run on my old PC without an issue. Did the whole copy again several times. I can start and run LrC with the default catalog, no problem but I have many 10,000s of edits in the old catalog and want them.Going crazy trying to figure this out. Can anyone help?
For example, the preview file is taking forever to copy to a new hard drive in macOSThe catalogue of the file is not that big it's around 5000 photos and again I'm not talking about the smart preview. I'm talking about the preview file.Any solution for it?
Following the 14.4 update, Im now having problems with creating pano's. The pano apears to generate however it and the stacked images fail to disply or show up in the film strip. A search of the folder shows a Lr file with the pano file number but will not import or display in Lightroom. Does anyone have any Ideas? I'll put my best guess up top:I moved my Lr Classic (14.4) catalog from one computer to another, (MacOS) and on the new computer, my username is different - I think that broke the workflow.I moved .lrcat and .lrdata, and the folder structure is the same on both old and new machines: Users/myname/Pictures/<a year folder, with month folders within that)The symptoms are that:The original photos are all on my NAS, and show up when it is connected - but doesn't indicate "Original and Smart Preview" I still have the intact Lr catalog on the first computer, I'm willing to start again. Suggestions? And I thank you for whatever you can offer.Dan

Subject: Lightroom Classic 14.4 – Export Bug Dropping File Name Text Product: Lightroom ClassicVersion: 14.4Operating System: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit Issue Description: I've encountered a bug in Lightroom Classic version 14.4 concerning filename behavior during export. As part of my workflow, I round-trip headshots and portraits through external editors—primarily Evoto and Photoshop—launched directly from Lightroom. To keep files organized, I append “Edit” to the filename during the editing sequence. After passing through both programs, the returned file typically has a name format of "subject name-##-Edit-Edit.tif" Lightroom serves as my base for initial edits, file management, and exporting client-ready files. I use export presets that apply a custom name followed by the original filename. However, I've noticed that Lightroom is now dropping the second “Edit” from the filename during export. This issue is consistent across all my export presets and only began recently. Steps to Reprodu
I have imported MP4 files into LR6 on my Windows 11 laptop (and before that) for years.Today I tried to import some JPG and MP4 files. All of the JPG imported with no issues. All of the MP4 were rejected and the import dialog says "The movie files contain no video frames". If I go to that file in the folder and double-click it plays, so there are frames. The MP4 were taken on a Samsung S24+ Android smartphone.I suspect that there is a missing codec or something as I had to add codecs to VLC to play the video. There is a good general set of codecs at K-Lite and that worked for VLC.Can I add codecs to LR6? How?
As of this morning I cannot export .png files from Lightroom Classic. I get the message that content credentials cannot be confirmed. How do I fix this?
Hi everyone. I'm trying to open CR3 files from my new Canon R6 Mark II. I'm running Lightroom 6.14 with macOS Monterey 12.7.6. Those are the latest versions of the Mac OS and Lightroom that I'm able to run on my computer, which will not allow me to open the CR3 raw photos. It looks like I can't download the latest version of the Adobe DNG Converter either. Canon Digital Photo Professional 4 seems to open the files, but I am hoping to still be able to run Lightroom to open these CR3 files since that is my main software I use for my photos. I hope there is a work around where I can still run a version of Lightroom, even if not the latest, on my Mac. Thanks in advance for your help, everyone!
Im running Lightroom Classic latest version in Windows 11.When i right-click a file to "Show in Explorer" i get a quick pop-up screen that has an error message that iI cannot read because it disapears too quickly. All my files are GOOD and are either *.psd or *.cr2 files. The same problem happens with bridge! My Windows 10 version of Lightroom and Bridge work just fine.
I can't upload an .ORF file, but jpg's are not supported? The water spots are removed beautifully on the cave wall, but the others in the water do not. You're so close. Great tool. I shot many photos from inside a bus and having relections removed with the tool has been quite successful. [Moved from 'Ideas' to 'Discussions' by moderator. Hi everyone, I’m experiencing a critical issue with Lightroom Classic (latest version as of today). The software becomes completely unresponsive as soon as I start working on any photo, or even just browsing through the library. No error message appears – the program just freezes for a long time, and eventually the crash report window pops up. At the moment, Lightroom Classic is completely unusable. This is a very urgent issue, as I need the software for my professional workflow and have several photo sessions to deliver. Additional info: I am using the latest version of Lightroom Classic. I updated my Nvidia RTX 5070 drivers today (clean install). Running on Windows 10/11 (specify your OS). No other Adobe apps are running. The issue occurs consistently, even after rebooting the system. Is anyone else experiencing this? Are there any known fixes? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Issue 1: paper source popup vanishes. LR Classic, I click print settings, dialog box opens. Click on printer options, then printer settings. The paper source popup, which allows choosing front fine art feeder from P800, has vanished. See screenshots: one shows paper source popup, the other shows it's missing. (This issue ocurred while troubleshooting issue 2; I created a new Mac user, and noticed paper source was missing, so I went back to original Mac user account to take screenshot of dialog box showing paper source, but minutes later paper source popup disappeared.) Issue 2: My presets don't stick, once I close the print dialog box in LR, and then open it again, it always reverts to premium glossy paper, with high speed and finest detail checked. I've tried creating new presets with different settings, but it always goes back to this. I've tried deleting all presets, and setting preset popup to "default" but the same thing happens. I can select fine art paper, change settings,
If I put a vertical (or auto, or one of the other 6 buttons at the top of the transform module) transform in a preset and then apply the preset to a bracketed set, will the transform apply to all of the bracketed images in the same way, so they will still be aligned, or might the transform be different for each image and foul up their alignment.
Hi,I am trying to import raw files into Lightroom Classic, but I want to keep the flat image of the raw file and not have any interpretations applied. The reason is that I am using Lightroom to prepare the footage for a timelaps and any colour grading will be done on another platform, so I want to keep as much information of the raw file as possible. Is there any way to import the raw files in a way that the image stays flat? Thanks!Tobias
Cada vez que Lightroom se actualiza pierde mis preferencias y al comenzar a usarlo no recuerda el catálogo con el que estaba trabajando e inicia como si fuera la primera vez que lo uso.
I have created a synced collection with 160 images, 32 of which have synced and are visible in the online gallery, the rest refuse to upload. In fact some of them disapear from the collection (not from the catalog just the collection)I've created another collection, added the same images and the same 32 images upload and the rest don't, similarly some of the images get removed from the collection after 10 or 20 minutes.I have tried restarting lightroom, restarting the computer, pausing/restarting the syncing, clicking on the 3 dots at the top, deleting all synced data, rebuilding of synced data and nothing works. Adobe! It would be super useful to have a way to enter verbal directions or prompts to the Adaptive B & W and Adaptive Color feature such that one can let the AI know your intentions are and guide it, so it can help one create the perfect photo adustements. As it is, the back-and-forth process with the Adaptive tool is hit or miss, since the AI is just "guessing" in a sense. Understand? Thanks, Eric Platt
LR 14.0.1 OSX 15.1Installed LR 14 earlier this week. When using Z or Space key to zoom into an image, the image dissapeared. Jsut the background grey visible. On repeat, image came back as Fit. Repeatable on multiple images. Happens in E mode and D mode (Library + Develop). Restart the app - problem dissapears. However, after editing a few images the problem reappears. Now there is a new itteration of this same issue. Instead of the image dissapearing on Zoom - the screen where the zoomed image should be is going bright green! I've attached a video to demonstrate. I'm sure a restart of the app will fix - but clearly there is something going on here, that isn't as it should be. 100% or 200% same issue.
Why is rotating using the crop tool so awful in LR Classic compared to ACR, I'm running a powerful PC with loads of ram, RTX3080. Watching in Task manager and it seems the GPU isn't being used at all?!? See attached videos. I used the LRC feature to remove person quite often. But when I try to remove one in a raw-file, I get an error. The persons are identified. Within masking LRC doesn't find the persons in raw-files. Do I need to export as a JPG first to use these features?
Ligtroom Classic Windows does not merge PEF raw files to HDR - have to convert to DNG first
When selecting multiple photos and applying auto settings (Devleop Settings > Auto Settings), only a small portion of the photos have auto settings applied. This can be anywhre between 50 and 700 photos. There seems to be no logic to how many photos correctly have auto settings applied. It seems to work for more photos when selecting in the Library tab as opposed to selecting in the Develop tab. Running Windows 10 on Lightroom 13.2. This has been happening for a couple years now.
