Even if changes are made to this screen you cannot move on, PC restart is only way out of screen.I can no longer import images!
Photoshop crashes every time after I initiate the “edit in photoshop” button in Lightroom. Photoshop opens by itself, but when I try to import photos from Lightroom to photoshop, it crashes.
My current 2TB Samsung SSD drive which has approximately 1.5 TB of Lightroom files and catalogue etc (in other words everything) is currently formatted EXFAT. I want to move all of my LR onto another external drive - then reformat my current SSD drive and then bring all of the Lightroom files back onto the original (now reformatted) SSD drive. Two questions:What are the safest process steps for copying 1.5TB of LR files from the original SSD over to another external hard drive (whilst the original SSD drive is reformatted) and then back onto the original (now reformatted) SSD without risking any data corruption or problems? Is APFS or macOS Extended (Journaled) the best format for stable, long-term data storage for regular LR usage on an SSD?I not planning on using/sharing the drive with a PC in the future.I have 2 backups of my LR - one on a second SSD and one on an HDD. I am planning on also reformatting my backup SSD once I have worked out the above steps.Or is it easiest and safest
Anyone still having problems with "some masking models are downloading. please try again"? In any version of Lightroom. I may have a solution based on what I found.after trying several things and finally succeeded for the download problem that stopped at 0%.
Hello,I’m using a Mac with Apple Silicon (M2 Max) and have just gotten a macOS notification that Lightroom Classic will not run on the major macOS version (v27) since it is... an Intel-based app?!However, in LRC’s system information dialog, I see “Application architecture: arm64” so now I’m confused. Is Lightroom Classic a native Apple Silicon app at this point, or not? I have complete uninstalled and reinstalled the software a bunch of times over the years for troubleshooting so I would have expected that I’m using the correct version for my platform architecture. Thanks for shedding any light on this.Alex.
Anyone else having issues with the generative AI removal tool in lightroom? I don't see the eraser icon once I hit erase, so if I want to make adjustments, it's difficult to hover and find the exact spot to make adjustments after.
Ive been having issues with the Publish module ever since the latest update. It seems like Lightroom believes everything is published, even though not all the pictures are really published. It seems to only happen to published collections which were in the process of being published then stopped. For example:Create new collection Hit Publish Wait Everything publishesBut for each collection I have published before the latest update/stop in the middle of publishing, it refuses to publish any further photosCreate new collection Hit Publish Cancel the Publish job halfway through Hit publish again Won’t publish any imagesThis is happening on all of my publish modules I have set up - reauthenticating does not fix any of them. Neither has removing the plugin, reinstalling the plugin, or even rebooting my pc/trying the catalog on a different computer. Im out of ideas at this point, but since the rich Publish module + supported websites is the only thing keeping me on Lightroom, it’d be great
After using LrC for several minutes editing and deleting files, it becomes very sluggish. Scanning through photos and making edits/deletes becomes very sluggish. In the Task Manager I see that Lightroom is using 10% to 25% of the CPU. This use persists even if I am doing nothing in LrC. I thought this may be due to LrC managing 1:1 previews in the background so I turned off all preview management, but no change. If I shutdown, a Lightroom background process continues using CPU for 10 minutes or more before it exits. When I restart LrC is resumes CPU use and is sluggish. If I shutdown and backup, so that the catalog is optimized, when I restart it starts out running well but after a short time, maybe 10-30 minutes it becomes sluggish and the CPU use has returned. If I use the File>Optimize catalog…, after several minutes to optimize and a restart, it again runs normally, but again after several minutes of use, becomes sluggish and the CPU use returns. The sluggish performan
Ik think due to the last update of Lightroom the plugins of the Nik collection, will not start up anymore. It does seem to do something, because as soon as I choose: Photo-Develop in- Silver Efex pro 2 it produces a Tiff file and puts it back in LR. It's the Nik collection of 2015.... but it always worked ok ! Is there something wrong or is the software of Nik collection not compatible with ver 15 of LR? Who knows?? Greets.....Willem {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
Not a complex shape or sine wave, just a simple curving of the line by “pulling” on it. It is not always easy to do with radial gradient. This would be a simple, fast option.
When using the AI generative remove tool to remove an object it leaves a white ghost image behind. I have the latest version of LRC, I also know about the update all masks tool and use it, but it still leaves this white ghost. How do I fix this? I've attached the image in other threads but still no solution.
Right-clicking a folder in the Folders panel and doing Get Info doesn’t work on Mac. But doing Properties on Windows works. Tested on LR 15.3 / Mac OS 26.4.1. To reproduce: 1. Download and open the attached catalog. 2. In the Folders panel, select the folder “test-pics”, right-click it, and do Get Info.
I updated to Tahoe 26.3.1 and now LrC will not come up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, shut down Mac and restarted, Ask Adobe for help, etc,, etcNot sure what else I can try.
I do a lot of my photo editing on my iPhone because we are always going. I am considering getting an iPad to make editing easier but would like to know if Lightroom Classic can be installed on an iPad. Also what are some pros/cons of using an iPad for editing?
MacOs Tahoe, MacOS 26 open lightroom classic tethered capture not workmy lightroom clasic 15.0 to nikon camera
I have started using tethering in Lightroom Classic rather than using a competitor like Capture One as I am very much embedded with the Adobe ecosystem. However, I am finding LRC clunky, unreliable and by no means a good alternative to Capture One, who seem to making big inroads into Adobe’s market. For example trying to tag an certain point on an image to check the RGB levels as you adjust strobe power is not possible and you have to guess where you previously checked the RGB levels. The question is, does Adobe have any plans to “take the action to the enemy” and put some serious development into Lightroom Classic’s tethering capabilities or are they going to continue to allow Capture One to take market share?
I recently installed Astril VPN client on my PC. Suddenly a working a solid installation of LR Classic 14.1.1 stopped working. As soon as the program is launched, it stop working and the "sorry, an error occourred" pops up. Looking in the report, it seems to me that the issue is about the LR license validation. Any other experienced the same issue? Is it related to validation issues as I suspect? Any workaround? I "solved" by uninstalling Astrill client, but... not really a solution.
LRC version 15.3 Camera Raw 18.3 Windows 11 /w 32 gigs of ram Nvidia GPX 3060 /w 12 gigs of ram I have a directory of photos I previously completed edits on in LRC. A new destructive behavior occurred when I am in the develop module and I scroll through the photos. While scrolling I notice the photos start updating to highly saturated / cropped versions and it ruins the original edit. If I continue to scroll - LRC continues to apply these edits. Precautions I have already taken: - Verified that auto-sync is NOT enabled - Purged the Camera Raw Cache - Use Graphics Processor has been disabled - Optimized catalog since old edits are randomly mutating - Unchecked “Automatically write changes into XMP” - Deleted all files associated /w [Catalog Name] Previews.lrdata After trying all of the above I made sure I restarted lightroom. As I scroll through photos they just continue to be corrupted when they come into thumbnail view. I may have pinpointed the source of the issue. I had used Pro
Mac OS 13.7.8 - I am unable to import tif photo files into Lightroom Classic - I keep getting the error message that the files are “not writable.” Lightroom Classic has full disc access and still my files won’t import whether they’re on my hard drive, external drive or desktop. I have watched several videos and nothing seems to work. I’m stumped! Any suggestions?

I'd like to enable Masking in combination with Remove (Generative AI). Masking features save a lot of time. Unfortunately, I was unable to use the masking (people, objects) while switching to Remove. Masking results are gone when switching to other tools. Remove is a powerful tool that might take a few tries to reach the result. Their combination could multiply the value added by both. Example use casesCorporate sector.I have been asked to edit the photo by keeping the executives and removing the other staff for a publication.I have been asked to remove a colleague who has moved to a different section from the team photo.Individual customer. My friend asked me to remove her former boyfriend from the group photo.
[Branched off from a thread about keywords in Lightroom (not Classic]Keyword List doesn't automatically remove keywords that have no photo associated with them, I have plenty in my library and tried to remove (delete) them using the SDK. Unfortunately the SDK doesn't expose a delete keyword capability as far as I've seen.I'm using Lightroom v 15.3 (latest update available in my subscription) and I have quite a lot of keywords in my Keyword List that show ZERO photo count.
