I have 50+ presets with support slider. Applying one of them will show a slider with a default amount of 100. I can change the slider from 0 to 200. What I want is, to set the slider at 60 by default when I apply the preset instead of 100. I have used the presets on various cameras and I found the presets best to use at 60. I don't want to create a new preset. Is it possible to edit the presets.xmp for default slider amount? like example crs:Amount="60"? Any help and would be highly appreciated 🙂
This is a new issue. I used this feature in June and it created the image and posted it next to the ones I was working on. Today, after I select the images and try a photo merge (Panorama), it processes them and puts them in my folder on my hard drive, where the original files are located, and not in the software. Am I missing something? MacBook Pro 16-inch 2023 Apple M2 Max 64 GB memory Sonoma 14.5 [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
I'm fairly new to Lightroom Classic, but I just updated it, so I'm hoping the program shouldn't have an issue there. My MacBook Pro has plenty of storage as well. I uploaded a set of Raw photos from my memory card and they all appear super pixelated (example screenshot attached) when I go to Develop them. None of the files appear missing. The raws did save to my computer's hard drive. When I view the photos using my computer's preview app, the photos are totally normal, so I'm assuming I messed something up during the import process to Lightroom. None of my previous imports or galleries had this issue, causing me to scratch my head at which step I did incorrectly this time. Does anyone know where I went wrong or have suggestions? Thank you in advance!!
Can there be a difference in image quality between different photo organisers????
I have about 300Gb of unstructured photos (a lifetime of photos) on my synology home RAID. I am using a Macbook Pro 14inch work computer as my best desktop client. I may have to buy a new home Mac in the next year as I may lose my job. Given this should I set up lightroom classic on my work computer now and transfer it to a new computer in a year or just go on-line with lightroom? I back up my home RAID as there are 2Tb of important files. I think classic may have more features but want to avoid a hassle that may be associated with switching. It is going to be a lot of work to organize all my past photos and don't want to do it twice.
Hello everyone, I'd like to understand how the Lightroom Classic catalog works.I built two catalogs with same photos, one with Lightroom Classic and one with Photo Mechanic Plus. The LrC catalog size is 32 GB and the PM catalog size is 16,57 GB.The previews sizes are almost the same, on LrC is 1680px and on PM is 1600px. Of course I discarded the 1:1 and the smart previews in LrC.How's possible this big difference?
Masking in LrC makes things a muddy color and it wont't go away so it's useless, it's current on updates ...Using windows
What I can do?I open photoshop 2024 and i can work normally... but if i click on "modify in Photoshop 2024" from lightroom menu, PS 2024 crashes. I hope i've put this problem in the right community!
Lightroom Classic was working fine yesterday and now every time I launch it from any source( shortcut on desktop, creative cloud, or start menu) nothing occurs. There is no window and no errors, but I can see it in Task Manager. I've seen other posts about the metric.json fix however I see this was fixed in previous updates and cannot find it in the given folder: C:\Users\""username"\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom\CachesI would greatly appreciate any guidance you could give me before I start losing money.
Since updating to 13.2, I've had erratic behavior using either mouse or tablet. These are most noticeable when adding or subtracting from existing masks using the Brush tool. This happens more frequently with the tablet, but also with the mouse. I had recently done a system restart to clear up this issue, but this didn't help. Specifically, here are the steps working with a mask where problem occurs:Click on existing maskClick + or - to add or subtract to get dropdown windowI choose "Brush" and sometimes nothing happens (whether using a mouse or pen )...OR...I can select the brush, but the brush may not show up...OR...does not do anything, or does the opposite of what I selected (i.e., a + instead of a -). Hope that makes sense. This is virtually the same issue on 2 separate systems at our studio with 2 different model Wacom tablets (this one a PTZ-630). This issue was previously reported by user uncleoat, who is the other system in the studio. Here is system info for th
All I did was open the image in Develop after importing it. The image is JPG, scanned from an Ektachrome slide. Aside from needing some cleaning up, the image appears normal in every other photo viewer. No, I didn't click on "Auto" or "HDR". Outside of LrC, the original image appears as in the "Navigator" thumbnail (upper left of LrC window) but the image for editing is totally mangled, as shown below.Totally weird. For comparison, here's how the image appears in Photoshop... LrC 13.4, Windows 10 (version window also pasted below)... Thank you for your attention and guidance. Regards,Steve
After the Update of Lightroom. Lightroom start to change the File Attributes of the Following Folder/Files to S (System)How can I avoid that? I need to change this behaviour because Sync Tool won't sync this Files anymore. Regards
I have configured by MacBook Pro for dual boot, and am moving Lightroom & data to a new volume. Now, on the new volume, I get the following error:Lightroom cannot write to the following directories. until this problem is resolved, syncing from lightroom may not work correctly /Volumes/DataWell, it is expected Lightroom can't write to /Volumes/Data, as that is the Data volume for Macintosh HD.The dual booted MacOS uses a volume called alternate which mounts /System/Volumes/Data:Macintosh HD -> /Volumes/DataAlternate -> /System/Volumes/DataI have two questions: How can I fix this? Why is Lightroom hardwired to volumes instead of directories? (which I did copy over) [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. A ‘bug’ is not just another word for any problem with software!]
When I click on the Denoise button, LR goes through all the motions: opens Denoise, shows the Denoise version for comparison, and then gives the message "Creating DNG using Denoise" and shows the progress bar, which gradually fills in. When completed, though, there is only a gray rectangle where the finished photo should appear, not the new DNG. The strip at the bottom shows only the original raw (.ORF) file image but no new DNG version, either stacked or unstacked. The Denoise function has always worked until yesterday, when I downloaded the latest update: 13.4. (I'm working on an iMac with OS 13.6.7.) I tried closing LR, tried restarting the computer, and finally tried uninstalling and reinstalling LR Classic. Still doesn't work. Suggestions?
I have a Mac M2 Pro Mini running Sonoma with LrC. Recently a friend emailed me a .jpg file. I tried to import it into LrC, but when I selected the appropriate folder, it said "no files found." I eventually determined that LrC will not open files with a macl file attribute. I tried removing the attribute, but the Mac put it back. I copied the file to a .xxx extension and removed the attribute; it stayed removed, but LrC couldn't find the file. I've never had this problem before with .jpg files, but LrC simply doesn't import the file, even though I can see it clearly in Mac Preview. I've now discovered quite a few .jpg files that LrC refuses to read.
Hi!I've a lot of LUTs files, to be more specific are 527 cube files distributed in 8 groups, to import in Lightroom (9.4 Release) in Windows 10 64bits.I know the metod using in Photoshop Camera Raw to import one to one. But this method required a lot of time when I need to do for 527 files. Also I would like to import in diferent Groups as I've it.Thanks! Guido
I have several plug-in programs that show up in the (File) Plug in Extras and (Photo) Edit in section of the Lightroom program. When I access these plug-in they usually act differenly depending on which menu I use for the program. What is the difference between these ways of accessing a plug-in and which is a better way to go? Some progams work in both, others work only with one. Thanks, Jim
WIndows 11, LrC V6Newly installed Win 11, but LrC V6 ran with no issues for years on previous Win 11 installation.Purchased V6 back in 2016 and have used it ever since. Now, after reinstalling the original V6 .exe it asks me to login to Adobe.I do that, email and password all OK and it says I am logged in OK, so back to the AppThe first time, it asked me for the serial # and I provided that, no errors. Then it asked me to login again - back to the browser, login, enter the 6 digit code sent to my email. It says I am logged in OK so back to the desktop and click on the LR icon to start the App.Up pops the Sign-in required dialog and we start all over again.I tried to ask the ChatBot for help and it doesnt think I am logged in either.
When I run Denoise on an image, Lightroom will undo my filter settings and expands the filmstrip. When I'm editing, I star my photos and then set my star setting to filter the images that I want to edit. But when I Denoise, the filmstrip suddenly expands to every image. Sometimes I forget that this happens, and I click forward and start editing the next photo not immediately realizing that it's not one of my starred images. I end up editing multiple unstarred images until I reach an image that is obviously not a good one, and I realize I've wasted a huge amount of time editing images that aren't to be delivered to my client. This is a huge time waste. Why you guys that it would be a good idea to reset the filter settings after running Denoise is beyond me. Leave the filter settings alone when running Denoise, and just stack the Denoised image ontop of the original, please.
Every image that I click on in “Develop” is marked as “changed” (small icon at the bottom right). My Smart Filter no longer works because I want to have all edited images in it. Has any setting changed since the new update or is this a bug? I am using Lightroom Classic 13.4 and Windows 11
Hello! I run LRC on Windows 11. Unfortunately, despite the fact that the hardware is correct, the settings in the software are correct, the computer is also fine. Lightroom classic occasionally slows down and a thick black bar appears with the menu section while it is working. Can you help me find a solution to this problem? Thanks
Hi, is there any solution for Adobe Lightroom tethering with sony a7r3 camera?

I am trying to clean up my LRC catalogs. I have SO many of them! I've been using the "Import from another catalog", and it's working fine. However, once I have imported into my existing catalog, can I then delete the ones that are still sitting in my folder? I'm really confused! I have attached a view of my folder - LOOK AT THEM ALL! There must be a lot of redundant files here, right? Please help!
