Lightroom Classic

Dear LR community, Unfortunately, my wife accidentally imported not only the desired images from the hard disk yesterday, but also many other images, e.g. from programs, due to the "Include subfolders" function. We suspect that she imported the "Home" folder, but she can no longer say for sure.We do have a backup of our Mac, but we don't want to completely rebuild the system.Do you have any ideas on the best way to deal with this? That would be great. Thank you and best regards

Hi Guys, Seeing if anyone else has any issues with thisAnytime I try to import more then 200 photos, my mac will crash, I use Lightroom Classic on an M2 Pro, photos are stored over the network and libary has been stored on an ext hdd over USB 3. At first I thought it was an M1 issue so I moved to an M2 Pro being better specs and processor.Though I am still coming across this issue and I don't know how to fix it, I have tried storing photos locally, still having the same issue, the libary was stored locally orginally.Anyone else come across this issue or know how to fix it?

Daher zur Sicherheit eine konkrete Frage:Ausgangslage: MacBook Air M2, LrC, LrC-Katalog auf der internen SSD, importierte Fotos auf einer externen 2TB-SSD, fast alle Fotos in LrC entwickelt bzw. bearbeitet und mit Stichwörtern versehen.Da der Platz auf der externen 2TB-SSD langsam knapp wird, habe ich mir eine neue 4TB-SSD zugelegt.Frage: Ich würde gerne alle Fotos auf die neue 4TB-SSD verschieben und meine Entwicklungen, Bearbeitungen und Stichwörter in LrC behalten. Ordnerstruktur auf der neuen 4TB-SSD soll ident sein mit jener der alten 2TB-SSD. Geht das und wenn ja, wie? Lg, Peter.

Hello all,I imported some presets on my Macbook Air and noticed the intensity slider does not work with the presets. I have exactly the same presets on my iMac and there the intensity slider works fine.Both Macbook and iMac are Sonoma 14.5 and LR Classic 13.4How can this be?Anyone an idea?Thanks

I'm running LRC 13.3.1 on a MBP M3. Just now (22 June 2024) I noticed this: I batched processed about 150 photos. While I was checking them one by one to see if they were OK, the changes were made (the sliders moved) but they were not visible, not even pressing / (before/after). Once I moved a slider (e.g.: white balance) then all the changes became visible. So I couldn't check the results of the auto processing unless I moved a slider, which needless to say, is annoying.

I have created and saved a custom print template that has five 5x7 fields arranged on a 13x19 sheet of paper. I can add images to these fields and print the page, no problem. But I would like to set up multiple pages with this template and then lay out all my images before printing. When I try to ADD another page, and apply the same custom template to it, the first page disappears along with all the photos I had placed, and a new page with my template replaces it. I dont understand the point of the "Add Page" button if it merely wipes out my page 1 and replaces it with a blank page. Does the "add page" button only work for the canned/pre-set templates and contact sheets? Is there a way to keep adding new pages with my custom template, so that I can keep placing photos and end up with multiple pages of images, and then save that set of prints as a project/print job in LR -- or at least as a multi-page PDF? I am not trying to make a Blurb Book, I am trying to print and bind my own b

The last step of the "Lightroom Sync FAQ" troubleshooting guide says to contact support - how do I do that?? I've been searching their help page for 30 min and it just sends me on endless asine loops through articles & pseudo AI bots as useless as the original FAQ. Uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times at this point as well.   Are there any known fixes to this issue? I am stuck with "553 photos" out of sync, and nothing making it to LR mobile for weeks now.    Looking forward to Capture One launching cloud features so that Adobe has even modest competition in the space.  [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]  

I upgraded my LR Classic to the latest update a few weeks ago and I just upgraded my catalog according to the prompt in LR Classic and now my import is not "seeing" old photos as already imported. I'm trying to import from my phone and more than half of the photos have already been imported. LR has always recognized duplicates and I have everything set the same for my importing, but I have tried multiple times and I get the same issue. Is this a problem after the last LR Classic update?

I have been asked many, many times to provide a story about a photo. Anything about why I took it, what I thought when I took it, where, when. Etc. Also, for personal, and family photos, that may be printed the context and meaning of the content of the photo may be lost. Think two generations down the road. A simple story, even one line, or the names of people in the photo would add a lot of meaning to family members two or three generations later.This could be displayed below the photo. when printed near the info data. I'm not sure where to place it on an export.

I am trying to make some new profiles in Photoshop camera raw and I am seeing that these are supposed to sync with lightroom if closed and re-opened. But once I open lightroom and try to add user profiles, the option to also view user profiles isn't showing up. In Camera Raw ( photoshop ) I can with the profiles I've crated but not in lightroom. Can some help me with this please ? Please note I am talking about profiles and not presets. 

LRc has lost  files from my Library, this is what is currently displayedThe files are in the correct location, are not corrupt, and are even shown on some 'collections' i have created, but are not shown belowFolder a1, should have 17,584 files in itFolder a33, should have 12,556 files in itetc I have tried the 'find allmissing photos' optin its added in a few but thats allI do have a backup of the catalog which I can try tomorrow when back home But any ideas or thoughts ? Thanks,  Martyn

Hi all,I have my photography files stored in NAS drive. And I can't take it with me on 2 month vacation.I would like to copy somehow several folders to external drive with me to work on during summer. How can I do it in Lightroom catalog without messing it up?  I don't want to MOVE the files - as (God forbid) anything might happen to that drive and I don't want a chance of losing my files. Is there any solution to keep current catalog with 2 copies of the same files (temporary) and then somehow replace new edited files to my NAS after I return back? Anyone has a system for these sort of situations?Thanks!

Hi,  Running Windows 11 v23H2 Lightroom Classic v 13-3-2   Recently took multiple photos in a new location without adjusting camera for 8 hour time difference.   New to Lightroom but following tried to adjust and the time and date shown in the EXIF data for the images does NOT change whilst if I go back into the Edit Capture Time Dialog Box it seems to have recorded the change. Hi. I have a problem with the connection. On a desktop PC, shooting with a connected camera works perfectly. As soon as I press the shutter button, the picture immediately enters Lightroom. Everything is stable and without problems. But everything is bad with the laptop. I'm trying to connect the same camera with the same wire. Lightroom sees the connected camera, sees the settings of the connected camera, even live view shows perfectly. But after the shutter button, not a single picture gets into lightroom. It's just that nothing happens.  I have already reinstalled windows on my laptop, but the result has not changed. P.S. if I shoot through eos utility, then everything works fine. and on a laptop. I tried to work in lightroom through eos utility, but it takes longer than in lightroom right away. Help!

I've downloaded the LR/Enfuse plugin. I've added it to the LR plug-in manager, but when I open Enfuse to blend images I get this message "Please Install the Enfuse application via the “Configuration Tab”" and the Enfuse Images button is greyed out. I can't do anything with this plug-in? Can anyone advise please as I don't understand how to load this plug-in via the configuration tab - I followed the download instruction from the Photographers Toolbox website. Thanks. 

So since the last update, I cannot upload files to a Lightroom gallery via my synced collections. Is there a fix for this?   My normal process is to sync a collection of images and then hit the Make Public button, which usually works like a charm. Now I go through that process and no images are uploaded.    I am operating a Mac Studio with M1 Ultra chip and my OS is 14.5   Thank you in advance for any advice you might have.  [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.  I've been having two problems with getting multiple raw files to move from LR classic into one PS document.  I've tried to use the Edit in-Open as Smart Object Layers in Photoshop, but only the first selected file opens in PS.  I've also tried to open each raw file as a Smart Object separately.  With multiple files open as Smart Objects in PS, I tried to select all/copy/paste one of them onto another.  The file I copied lost its Smart Object icon when it was copied into the other file.  Even if the Open as Smart Object Layers was not working, I would think the copy/paste method could give me multiple Smart Objects in one file.  What do you suppose is the problem?  I'm using the latest updates for both LR classic and PS, operating on a Windows 11 desktop, also updated.  Thanks for your help. Kathy B

Hello! im trying to import my images on to lightroom classic (mac system)  however it is just spinning when searching for the files. Ive tried restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling and also dragging in a single image to lightroom classic and nothing happens. Ive also tried putting the files on a harddrive and importing as well as my desktop! Ive been trying everything for the last 4 hours and got no where is there anyone that could offer some advice on what to do, thank you in advance 🙂 

Hi - does anyone have - or can point me to - a converter for a Huawei P20 Pro DNG?Principlally to eliminate the horrible vignetting/colour hue.Or a Lightroom preset? Is this something that Adobe shoule have somewhere in their library? I have Lightroom 6 and Elements 2019. Many Thanks

I always keep the crop padlock closed. On this one rare occasion, I opened it, and now it's open every time I go into Crop mode. How can I get back to my preferred way, which is to have the Padlock always default to being closed every time I go into Crop mode? At the moment, I have to close it every time I go into Crop, which is annoying. Thanks. 

I had to create a new catalogue and re-import everything in my old catalog. So far it appears I have or can easily restore everything that matters back EXCEPT the colored lables on my folders. Where is this data is stored? I'm on the latest version of Lightroom Classic on Windows 10, but with my own file structure, so I need to know where it is relative to other Lightroom files.

I printed two 8x10 cells side-by-side on a roll of paper. I set the Paper Width to 17 inches and the Paper Length to 10 inches. I wanted to save paper, so I figured making the length 10 inches would leave enough excess at the top and the bottom to make a 1/8-inch border, which it did. The problem is that the right side border had no border where I was expecting, as shown by the Lr Print Module and the Print Preview, a 1/8 inch border. Now, the 8x10 print on the right side is wasted. I checked the paper roll, and the paper is flush with the side of the paper feed, so this is not a paper alignment issue.  Why did this happen? Below are my printer properties settings and screenshots of the Lr Print Module screen, Print Preview, and the resulting print.  

I hope that someone can point me in the right direction.    I'm using LR Classic on an M3 MacBook Pro. Both LR and the OS are up to date.   My images are contianed on an external hard drive and my catalogue backs up to Dropox.    For no readily apparent reason I am now getting an error message as follows:-     I have tried to change permissions in the OS, but it says I don't have the permissions to make such changes.  I've given LR  Full Disk permission but to no effect. I get the same error message.  This problem has come out of the blue and so I'm very confused. I have moved to a new machine (Windows 11) and am experiencing slow performance issues with LR. I am running the latest version. I have all of my LR settings identical to what I had on my other machine (Windows 10) and optimize the catalog regularly. The performance is great except when moving from photo to photo or when trying to run the slideshow. I just installed the new version of Lightroom Classic on my iMac, running OS 10.13.1Suddenly the LR window is huge and unwieldy. Is there any way to resize it to make it smaller?Thank you.
