Lightroom Classic

bonjour,   j'utilise la version lightroom 5 mais je ne peux pas mettre à jour mon ordinateur qui tourne sur el capitan de peur de perdre la version lightroom. Je me dis que je dois passer à lightroom CC, mais comment faire pour garder mon travail déjà effectué sur lightroom 5. Dois-je faire des exportations DNG? ou mon catalogue lightroom 5 sera pris en compte par lightroom CC? Merci pour vos conseils.

Since updating to the new version of Lightroom, 13.3, i was forced to update my catalog. Which btw is large.So after spending 2 nights a few weeks ago having to resync my entire catalog with Adobe due to an unspecified error in syncing, tonight I come on to find 8,028 images stuck in error sync mode.  When i reached out to Adobe support i was 'hung up on' after having more than 40 minutes wasted each time by the support agents when they realized they probably couldn't figure this out. The website version of LR says the system has to open the images on Lillith, my OLD laptop. But opening lightroom on my laptop i have now shows no issues with syncing etc? I am so confused and frankly, annoyed about how Adobe support handled me.

Hello, I have a huge problem with a light room after reinstalling. To all pictures LR automatically applies a preset. By default its adobe color.  Edit on PC/ File on Mac; Preferences; Preset; Global and you were able to set to a camera settings. What it does is apply any presets to your photos. This is the way I always edited my pictures. The settings are still there, but it doesn't do what it is supposed to. Even with these settings on, LR applies very poor brown colors with a terrible HL and destroys all beautiful work that was done at the set. Does anyone has a solution for it? Thank you very much!

Hello everyoneMy Lightroom classic edit icon showing without changing anything. Any one khown how to fix it.My step is just click on that photo without edit something the the edit icon +/- will showing. I would like it to shown when i edit somthing like whitebalace or exposure .

 I have problems exporting JPEGs in LightRoom Classic release 13.3 on a MacMini with the M2 chip and 16 GB of memory. The operating system is Sonoma 14.5 I initiailly tried to export 62 photos from a collection as JPEG files. Three photos exported (not the first three and not in sequence) and then there was no progress. after a half hour I stopped the process and tried to export just one of the images and got the same result. I have uninstalled and reinstalled LRC. And I have disabled the GPU.   Another problem has developed, when I select the people view from the Library menu it jumps to a screen that says loading, but then nothing happens. Any suggestions?

It seem like the middlepart of Lightroom is to big so the left side is to narrow I can't see some things in the left panel. I have Windows 11 and latest LRC. Regards Micke

hey, I am struggling witth Lightroom panel size. How can I make it smaller? (Dragging to corners does not help). 

[I've completely rewritten this bug report -- I originally thought it was a difference between Windows 10 and 11.][12/22/2023: I've updated this bug report to include viewFactor:checkbox() and clarify the scaling settings.] On Windows 10 or 11, when Preferences > User Interface > Font Size is set to Large (150%) or larger, the "width" property doesn't work for viewFactory:popup_menu() or viewFactory:checkbox(), making it hard for plugins to align controls. LR is forgetting to scale the width of the two controls, whereas it does it correctly for the other LrView controls.  (Users often find it necessary to set scaling on high-resolution displays.) To reproduce, set Font Size to Large (150%).  Then run the script below.  Here are the results with Font Size set to "medium" and then Large (150%):   With scaling set to 150%, the popup menus and checkbox with the "width" property are too small. I have a hardware calibrated monitor, with two custom buttons to change calibration profile, both calibrated by me : one in sRGB colorspace and one in Native colorspace. I have already verified that when I switch from sRGB to Native profile on the monitor and vice versa, also in Windows the corresponding profile is loaded correctly.  I do the editing with the monitor in Native.  To check how the image looks on "a generic sRGB monitor" (I know I can't control where people look at my photos, but I still like to have with an idea of how it look in sRGB), I have two options:  1. Use LrC's soft proofing functionality, using for the target photo the sRGB profile generated when I calibrated the monitor.  2. Simply set monitor to sRGB.custom profile.  I noticed that with option 1 the difference between Native and sRGB (which in this case are side by side, with LrC simulating sRGB for the target photo) is limited: if there are large areas of red

What are the Smart Collections in LR Classic put there by Adobe such as 'No Keywords"  with all of my photos in there? I did not create that collection. Can I delete without losing my photos? There are other ones as well with less images. Would like to delete them as well.

In LR development module, I suddenly get very blurry images, no matter what extension (see screenshot attached).  In library module the pictures are still okay.  Has anyone encountered this problem before? Kind regards,Helena

The fancy May 2024 update has rendered Lightroom Classic unusable. It says my photos are missing. They aren't. They are where they were, when i imported them. The update wrecked my catelogue. Lightroom can't find it, now, and locks up, trying to find it. I want to reverse the update. 

I encountered a compatibility issue between Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC. I edited a photo using Lightroom CC mobile, which I had loaded from my camera via the camera's app. Later, when I got home, I loaded the photos from my camera into Lightroom Classic. When I tried to copy the develop settings from Lightroom CC to Lightroom Classic, I noticed that the photo looked different. It seems that the white balance didn't apply correctly, and the profile was different as well (Adobe Color vs. Color). While the scales of the temperature and tint are the same, the starting points differ. Does anyone know how to bring my edits from Lightroom CC to Lightroom Classic? It seems like a compatibility bug to me. 

Did a wedding yesterday and took some photos in a dungeon!  However, using lightroom and a radial gradient mask to cover the B&G, as soon as it's in place the colour drains from them making them almost B&W.  Cannot fathom out what I've done or how to correct it.  Using the LRC 13.3 and an new iMac to edit with.  

Anyone have any thoughts as to an appropriate Lightroom curve to apply to digital images of colour negs (of several different types, unfortunately)? The main problem, obviously, is the orange mask. Alex

This has been bugged for about a year now, since the notched MBPs shipped. Will it ever be fixed?Repro: - Use Shift-F and cycle through modes until OS menu bar disappears. - Use Tab to hide all panels - Mouseover top panel/module picker Result: Module picker GUI is detached (see attached) (I've also indicated other bugs in the SS.)   Alternatively, you can show the module picker using F5, but this then covers up the Library Filters and everything else at the top of the GUI across the modules.   Adobe, you've had almost a year to fix the LR GUI to accommodate the notch and it still hasn't been fixed?   MacOS 12.5.1, M1 Max 16"

When copying pictures to "smart collection" i get two copies of each, one DNG and one ARW. I have used Denoise, so I understand why I have two files, but I only want to move DNG to "smart collection". Can anyone guide me? 

Hello everyone,  This is my first time here, please excuse me if I'm not following the guidelines to correctly create a post about my issue.  My problem can be easily seen on these screenshots :   You can see on the left hand the photo (main screen) without weird pixels vs right screen with some coloured pixels.Sometimes it happens on both monitors :    What I've noticed : It happens randomly and sometimes it crashes until i force the task to end. It started after updating to V13, maybe a bit after but not before.It only happens while on Develop module and it is triggered by doing an action (through the sliders, creating a mask, etc.)What I've tried :Delete and reinstall LrC through Adobe Creative Cloud.Use Graphics Processor = Off  I don't know if this issue is related to this post : P: (GPU) Develop/Edit view & Export artifacts afte... - Adobe Community - 14563606 Any idea on how to correct it will be appreciat

In Lightroom Classic v 13.2 - I do my culling of photos in the folders section of the Develop module (not in collections).  I go through and mark the photos I want to delete then click Photo/Remove Rejected Photos/Delete from Disk.  For some reason, I'm thinking the past couple of years, the images haven't been deleting off my hard drive.  I run a MacBook M2 Max with Ventura OS I never do anything with my photos outside of LR - I thought all was well. 1. What am I doing wrong? 2. Is there any way to identify all those images on my hard drive that are NOT in Lightroom so that I can delete them?

Mac OS 12.6, Lightroom 12.4when I photomerge to HDR multiple Raw files, I have to upright the resulting HDR image at the end because If I upright prior the multiple images, the obtained image is not Syncronized with them.For example I fix and Sync multiple images as XOffset +0.8 Y Offset -0.5 The resulting HDR image will have randomly different settings, (generally inverted) XOffset -0.8 Y Offset +0.5. or maybe not at all any setting appliedThis is not a big problem, as I stated earlier, I do the upright to the resulting HDR image.But Today I ve not been able to synk the generated HDR image to the images used to create the HDR image.Particularly the HDR image has "Scale" -98  but to overlap to one of the original images, I had to reduce it to -95.Hope to have explained clearly a very strange bug; does anyone got the same issue?Thank you to all for any help 

There is a problem in the metadata sync (library module).Freuently sync failed, sometimes with minor notification.This problem was on version 12, and it continues on version 13. It continues on a new PC (big RAM & lot of storage). Restarting lightroom bypass it, but it re-appear after a few times.

I try to create xmp files for all dng files in my catalogue. This is not to discuss whether it's necessary or not. The story behind it is a little bit longer. What I already checked and tried:CTR+s (within library and dev tool)Save metadata within menu structure Activate checkbox to save xmp files alwaysCheck whether creation of xmp files is paused I also checked my whole SSD to find xmp files. Without success. I am working with dng. Raw files are deleted on most cases.  Any suggestions what I may have overseen?
