I almost thought I was going to have to force restart computer or it was going to crash on its own, but it recovered and only gave a white screen with the lightroom boarders, when I clicked to change to library out of developer tab to see if it was going to continue or fix itself, it showed this message at the top and removed all the color grade. When I restarted it, the color grade was there and fine, it's just being overly laggy when it shouldn't be. Before this, it started randomly being EXTREMELY laggy like it was not processing correctly. Very similar to how if you use the brush tool in the masking, Lightroom normally is not coded to process those very well and lags a LOT........even after all the updates saying the masking processing was improved....it really wasn't, maybe by a small margin, but today I was not using any brushes in the masks. I was using just the normal masks and grading I do for the majority and was not doing touch ups yet which is when the known lag starts.
I have a recurent issue in LRC now and it worries me a lot since I don't find anything about that on here. The masking tools are not working properly for some times now. Or I am just not able to create them meaning that when I click for instance on linear mask nothing happens (nothing happens no matter the mask I choose). Or , when I manage to create them, they disappears as soon as I update the ai assisted tools...which is required.I really don't know what to do and I would love to see an update for LRC to fix this because this is not usable for my work and when you have a full wedding to edit and deliver, this can be verry frustrating.
I have a collection with several folders of images I want to include in my Book. I successfully have built multiple pages already in the saved book called "Our Family 2025" which is also saved in the Collections. However, all of a sudden, I can no longer access my other collections folders I havent used yet from my saved book. For example, I want to use images from folder "8 Aug Raro", but as soon as I click on that folder, the saved book disappears, eventhough I am in the Book Module and a blank new book opens. The images showing in the preview at the bottom are only the images I have already used in my book - and i have the Filters Off toggled. How can I access teh other folders to include in my saved Book?
Issue Description:Lightroom Classic has become extremely slow when switching into the Book Module. Whenever I switch from Library or Develop back into Book, Lightroom displays “Collecting Information…” in the upper-left corner and then hangs for a long time before the Book Module becomes usable. Before updating to LRC 15 last week I routinely blitzed through bulk HDR merges of dozens of images in just a few minutes, as well as other dng processing/import from DXO Pure Raw, and now these tasks are taking an exorbitant amount of time to complete. This is destryong my work flow at a critical time for my clients. Any help is greatly appreciated... thanks!
Hi! I'm a Lightroom-only user. I'm a photo artist and I use LR intensely for photo editing with dozens of retouching points (sometimes more than 100) for architecture/street photography/landscape photography.I work on only one photo at a time (24mpx). So I don't have to import hundreds of photos for my workflow (no wedding or sports reportage)... I'm hesitating a lot between these two configurations which are about the same price. The Mac mini M4 pro 12/16 48GB of RAM 1TB ssd is at 2254€Studio base 14/32 36GB of RAM 1TB ssd is at 2294€What is your advice, dear friends?
How can the server address to photos be globally changed in Lightroom Classic 15.0.1 (WIN11)?I am looking to find a location where to make a single change that will update the links for a large number of photos. Thanks in advance.Frank
I just used my Lightroom Classic after a few weeks on the road and suddenly it tells me that my almost 1tb of free disk space is insufficient to back up my updated catalogue??? It's never been an issue and my old catalgue backup zip file is just 18mb large. Also the screen promt doesn't make sense to me at all. What's going on? {Moved from Lightroom Cloud to Lightroom Classic Forum by Moderator}
Lightroom classic is unable to detect people/face for masking.
Somehow I've created a huge mess and I'm not sure how to get out of it.Bear with me, this takes some explaining. My Lightroom Classic catalog has folders going back to 2012.Up to the end of 2019 these folders were all on a single hard-drive, this filled up and at the beginning of 2020 I started using a second and new external SSD hardrive for the years 2020-2025.So, I was working away after happily after unplugging that first drive with the 2012-2019 folders. This left me with just the thumbnails as a reference for the years 2012-2019 whenever I was searching my catalog. Not ideal, but I was able to see the Lightroom created previews and I was happy enough to unplug my newer drive, reattach the old drive and navigate to the required images whenever I needed to.I had the brilliant idea though that I should get a new and faster SSD drive to go with the newer drive that holds the 2020-25 files, what I'd do, I decided, was to copy the existing files from the 2012-19 drive onto this new drive,
Hello,I would like to know if it's possible to get a live capture with de Sony A7IV by wireless (Wifi) without any USB cable ?I know it's possible (and I already done) to do it with USB-C cable but I would like to get the same feature by wifi to make photographs in a gymnasium for example. Thanks be advance
I was running Lightroom Classic on my old PC (Windows 10), but I've been having a lot of problems with it. Specifically, when I tried to import a large number of photos at once, it errors out. I was hoping a new PC (Windows 11) would sort it out. Unfortunately, I get pretty much the same problem with my new blazing fast PC. The problem I have now is that I tried starting fresh to see if it was related to the size of my catalog. I didn't realize at the time that in addition to losing my keyword tagging, I would also lose my edits. What is the best migration path now that I have essentially a system on my new and old system? The license is fine, as I will only need the old one long enough to export the catalog. If I need to, it will not be a problem to re-import the new stuff. Should I just import the catalog, and then import the new files in place? Thanks, I'm hoping this will be an easy task. My catalog has roughly 450k
I am not able to import the corresponding JPG file when imorting ORF files taken with the HDR1 or HDR2 option on my Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark 3 camera. The JPG files are copied from camera to disk (windows), but when starting the import, only ORF files are imported, and I can not see any option to include the JPG files in the import dialog. I checked if the JPG file was stacked with the ORf file, but it was not.
Hi. Since the last update there's a major bug when chaning between photos on develop mode with XMP write enabled. The lag may take 2-4 seconds to change photo or doesn't change at all after an edit or paste edit on the previous photo.I have my catalog on the main SSD and images on external SSD.Currently with a Macbook Pro M4 Pro 24gb
I don't even know how to report this so I'm gonna post a video. When changing photos holding the arrow key, it goes through my entire folder and I can't stop it once it started.I can't reproduce it everytime, but sometimes there's noting I can do to stop it. I comes and goes...
Can you please help me understand how to install LR classic on my laptop? Is it still included in my Lightroom CC subscription? I would like to support both types (Classic's PC hard drive AND cloud) of workflows. The video Lightroom vs. Lightroom Classic was still confusing to me although I do not know when the video was created. I paid for the Lightroom cloud (CC I would guess) monthly subscription. Thank you.
I'm running into an issue using Auto Import with Lightroom Classic. I have a Watch Folder set to Auto-Import photos into my Lightroom Catalog. The intended use is for an assistant to review images with clients while I shoot, with the photos loading into Lightroom in the background, uninterrupted. I use CamRanger 2 to transfer photos from the camera to the Watch Folder on my Mac. This happens flawlessly. HD>Watch Folder Lightroom imports (moves) photos from HD>Watch Folder to HD>Lightroom Photos. The images do load in the background in Lightroom, but a glitch occurs when Lightroom moves them from the Watch Folder to the Lightroom Folder and builds previews. My folder setup is:HD>Lightroom PhotosHD>Lightroom Photos>Subject 1HD>Lightroom Photos>Subject 2Etc. My assistant selects a set of images from the Lightroom Photos folder, creates a new Subject folder (and moves the selected images into the folder). Then, while reviewing in S
Hi, I am working with LRC and do edit RAW pictures with 50 to 60mb per pictures. Doing so, in my opinion, my computer let me wait too long times. I am not working with the latest hardware, but a Intel Core i7-10700 CPU with 32GB RAM seems not to be that worse. Can anyone give me a hint if a upgrade of the RAM could help of only a new machine as AI needs more power? If so, any ideas what minimal requirements you would suggest?txs, Roland
Hey, I noticed this strange issue affecting sharpness of a photo. Even when I set all the sliders to 0 value in the "Detail" panel, the picture seems sharper when it is toggled off. How can this be if no sharpening is applied through this panel? Usually when nothing is changed in any given panel the toggle symbol (eye) is grayed out, indicating no actions have been taken which is different for the Details panel. Attaching two photos for reference, at 100% zoom. Hope anyone knows where this blur is comming from and how can I get rid of it.Detail panel toggled OnDetail panel toggled Off
Hi everyone, I just bought the new Canon R6 Mark III that I pair with my Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art (using the official Canon EF-RF mount adaptator). The photos look perfect on the R6iii screen : no vignette, no distrosion, good WB, etc. But when I import the CR3 files on Lightroom (v15.0.1), they look very different : there is a HUGE vignette, and the tones are darker/bluer. I can't get rid off the vignetting, this is the most annoying problem. The lens corrections feature detect the right lens/profile, but is useless in both mode Profil/Manual. Even if I push the values to 200, the vignette is still strong. I use Lightroom since 2018 (and this particular lens since 2021) and never encountered something like that. I hope this will be fixed by a simple Lightroom update, as the R6iii is only two weeks old. Thanks for reading, have a nice day ! settings recap :Canon R6 Mark IIISigma 35mm f/1.4 Art EF mountCanon official mount adaptator EF to RFLightroom Class
