Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

Hi everyone,   I've used Lightroom Classic for many years and made the switch to Lightroom (CC) as soon as I could edit local files without having to import them (around v.7 I believe).  Up until very recently I've had no issues whatsoever and really enjoyed the updated interface and how fast it runs.  However I've encountered an issue recently while travelling. If I'm connected via a VPN or simply offline, I cannot access my local files whatsoever, the files simply do not show up and I'm left with an empty page.  From searching the community I understand the software sometimes has to connect to check license etc... But I still should be able to every now and then edit my local files offline.   I've tried: Uninstall everything Adobe from my Mac, used Adobe cleaning tool, reinstalled it, same issue.  Are there any other users having a similar issue, are you able to work offline at all? I clicked 'Give Feedback' from lightroom and I guess this is where that happens. Do real people even read this anymore? I have been using photoshop and lightroom since the early 2000's. As a teenager I would lock myself in the home office and spend countless hours tinkering and creating goofy little art projects. As I jumped into the world of photography I was not initially a fan of lightroom, but as the product developed I was eventually won over. Both were robust products that genuinely cutting edge and I would have had a hard time finding faults with, at least for what they were at the time. Somehow that's all changed and I have been paying more than ever for a product that has pared down it's features and takes up to 30 seconds to zoom in on a photo that is stored locally on an up-to-date piece of hardware. Hi all,  I use Lr (NOT Classic) locally with an external drive – my photos are not stored in the Cloud, and I'm on the latest version of MacOS 15.4.1. After downloading the latest update last week (8.3), every time I open Lr, I get an error message that says "Some AI edits need to be recomputed." When I click Update, it generates new edits and I basically lose all my work / previous edit I had made. I have not made a single change to my set up. The only change was updating to 8.3.  Expected behavior: make edits to a photos using the remove tool, heal tool etc.. quit Lr, when I re-open Lr, the edits are there, just like I left them.  This problem existed in previous versions of Lr, then it all worked perfectly in 8.2 (not sure about 8.1), and broke again in 8.3.  The only fix was to re-install 8.2.  Has anyone else experienced this? Posting this here hoping it's investigated as a bug and addressed in 8.4. Thank you. 

Hallo zusammen, ich habe ein neues Iphone und habe die App Lightroom mobile erneut heruntergeladen. Auf meinem alten Handy hatte ich ein Abonnement abgeschlossen. Nun wollte ich mich mit meinem neuen Handy bei Lightroom über die App anmelden. Mein Abonnement wird aber nicht mehr angezeigt und meine ganzen Bilder in der Cloud sind WEG! Über Abonnements und Käufe bei meiner Apple ID kann ich mein Abo aber sehen! Es besteht immernoch ein Abonnement WO sind meine ganzen Bilder und wieso ist mein Zugang nicht auf Premium freigeschaltet obwohl ich ein Abonnement habe ! Auf meinem alten Hanfy komme ich jetzt auch nicht mehr in die App mit der Premiumfunktion rein!!! Die App erkennt aber dass ein Abonnement vorhanden ist! Sobald ich mich aber einlogge kommt nichts !!! Bitte dringend um eine Antwort. Danke

I got the Asuss Proart PA279cv Monitor. The color and contrast range is great imo. My problem is that when im editing on it, and I switch light room from it to another monitor, or upload the photo to facebook, the photo is about two stops too bright even though it looks great on the monitor. I know all monitors are not equal, but I feel that I should at least be putting out product that matches most viewing devices like Iphones etc. M questions is I know there is a standard, but should i be looking for a work around instead? I have my color profile set to sRGB IEC30633-2.1 Any help on this would be apprecited.  

My Import folders keep disappearing, super annoying not getting my photos imported and having to set them up again. The issue seems to be as straight forward as it is dumb:If I add another folder to the "watch list" for the auto import feature, every previous folder NOT containing any images at this moment will be removed, if I add a new one. So whenever I want to add a new folder, I first have to make sure that every other older folder I want to keep, also still contains a raw image file (as I use get raw only). Super annoying, of course these folders are usually empty, that's what I'm using Lightroom for. Creating a few garbage raw files, putting them in all the folders I want to survice the "add new folder" procedure  and the removing them from Lightroom because the whole point of these was to work around a bug just sucks. Please get your basic features to work reliable.

Has anyone used the gnerative remove extra people tool?  I can't seem to get it to work and I think it's using all my credits.  lol. Not sure if it's user error, a wrong setting somewhere or a bug.  It will detect the extra people but not delete them.    Thx.

Hi there 😊 I am no longer able to access any presets via web (no recommend, premium or my own presets). It's working on my phone, but suddenly presets are no longer available via web Lightroom. I have created a free trail on a different account to see if I'd working and it does. So I figured out it's something to do with my account.I am having this issue after I have imported couple of presets from someone else.Can you please advise me how can I solve the issue to get access to to presets?

Hello!I have an active mobile Lightroom subscription purchased via the App Store, but the premium features (such as healing, selective editing, RAW editing, etc.) remain locked.Here’s what I’ve already tried:1. I signed in with the correct Adobe ID linked to my subscription.2. I used the “Restore Purchases” option in the app.3. I restarted my phone.4. Hola me pasa exactamente lo mismo . Yo trabajo con un volumen de 4mil fotos por día y no todas las edito en el momento. Selecciono las que necesito enseguida y luego las demás las paso a editar en la PC . Me párese esa imagen y la no puedo hacer nada . No me las importa automáticamente tampoco .

Februar 2026 läuft.Da ich nun mit einem Mac mini arbeite, würde ich sehr gerne auch die Lightroom Desktop-Version nutzen.Gibt es eine Möglichkeit dieses Abo umzuwandeln? Besten Dank im Voraus.

Hi - i ran out of Disc space yesterday and after a hour of searching found i had nearly a 1TB of data of files in the following folder \\alan\Library\Group Containers\group.com.apple.coreservices.useractivityd\shared-pasteboard\archives The files in this take the following file naming 1D6146F1-231A-40B0-B94F-E0BA545FD5E5 - this one was created yesterday and is 50gb in size. I had idea where it was coming from but i’ve just opened lightroom and had activity monitor open at the same time and Lightroom created another file 50gb in size anyone had this problem ?

OK, I admit I normally use Camera Raw for quick edits, but jump in Lightroom time to time.  Trying to apply Recommended Presets and get the error: "Disabled for Local Images. To get AI based suggestions from the community, sync and edit in the cloud." If I click the cloud icon top right it says, Synced and Backed up.If I right click the image there is no option to "edit online" or "edit in the cloud."In Photoshop if I want to use generative fill and other AI features it just works. I don't have to sync or go online somewhere.I've used Ai and search only and can't find how to do this. My image is in a folder. I don't see how to create or move it to a collection if that is the answer. Just would be helpful if Adobe had steps to enable this feature. Thanks for some direction. Seems like some better UI/UX would help here.

This website:  https://lightroom.adobe.com/learn/discover/4c933d67-0c12-473d-80f3-0fead4a8dc55 has a 'save preset' choice.  I clicked it but I don't know where it went?  It's not in my presets in Lightroom.  Where can I find it to add to my preset.  

I got the healing tool to work in part of my photo but as I try to erase dirt smudged on the wall it refuses to cover it. Whether I use generative AI, plain removal, heal or clone tools. The app is completely up to date & even restarted my pc & the app several times. It always seems to act up on Sundays.... which happens to be the  only day I have most availability to edit photos 😞

I had to subscribe to this version of Lightroom (windows desktop ver 6.4) a year ago when I got a Canon R10 and the CR3 files were not recognized by my Lightroom 5 stand-alone that I had been using happily for a very long time.   I've had problems with this new version from the beginning, but I attributed that to my being old, slow to learn new systems, etc. I noticed that after just a few months of using this version, my laptop would slow down. It has become progressively worse, to the point where today as I was trying to edit and save photos that I took at my daughter's wedding this past week, I can't complete anything anymore. I hve no other programs running. I have tried maximizinf the cache size. I have turned the GPU off. I have seen references to catalogs and opening or closing those, but I do not see that option on the version of Lightroom that I have. where can i see my edit history in lightroom cc?  i added a preset to an image a month ago and i cant remember which one it was and i want to see it.  how can i do that?

I am having trouble finding the rating and info option? You know where you open an edited image to see what settings you used, ISO, F stop and Shutter speed, where did that go?  It was there the other day but not now? IN the screen shot attached you can see there is no rating and info option below view options.Frustrating to say the least, one day there, next day gone?

I have an issue where I am no longer able to take a photo from cloud based Lightroom and edit it directly in Photoshop. I get the error that says, "Lightroom is not allowed to control Photoshop. Make sure this is allowed in the system preferences > security and privacy > automation “. I’ve tried granting the automation in my security settings and have also granted full disk access to both Lightroom and Photoshop. No luck. However, this action works perfectly in Lightroom Classic way it used to in my cloud based version of Lightroom. I uninstalled and reinstalled both Lightroom and Photoshop multiple times and have not resolved this. Any ideas on how I can correct this issue?

I cant seem to delete any photos from Lightroom (not CLASSIC). I am a Classic user thinking about using the newere version. If I click to delete, in all ways I know, a dialog box says unable to delete please delete directly from disk. HELP!!
