Photoshop

Hello! I just installed the latest version of Photoshop. While I am in a text box and have my font selected, I try to make the font larger, and it only stays at the same size. I can't enlarge it. I can enlarge it if I select a font prior to putting text in the text box. That option doesn't work for me since I have different sizes of fonts in my text box.  I tried AI help, but AI couldn't come up with a fix. Will someone please help me?

This is new photoshop "improvement" is frustrating me beyond belief and I do not understand why it was changed. I posted a mock below to better explain how it used to work with "Before" and "Now". So when you applied an FX to a layer before like Inner Glow, it remained bound within the canvas edges no matter how big the layer was, now however it is applied to the whole layer even when out of bounds. This is particularly detrimental when you want to keep a large image you might want to move around without cropping it to fit canvas.The solution is to create a layer on top of it with the effect I want, but I do not want a workaround which increases the complexity of the document and add a lot of extra time to my work, I want to understand if there is an option to revert to legacy (to "Before").Why adobe keep giving us "fixes" nobody asked for and making the life of those who has professionally worked with this software for over 20 years miserable is beyond me.

I used to love the autofx Mystical Lighting plugin, but my version dated back to the days of 32bit and would not run past CS4(ish).  I was thinking about it today and checked out their website in case there were any spectacular deals to be had (I was not prepared to pay hundreds of dollars for the updated Mystical Lighting).  Unfortunately, the Autofx website is confusing and contains little specific information, and has that annoying thing where you have to add a product to your cart to find out how much it costs.   They do have a deal as it happens, and their GRFX PRO package is available for $150 (down from a crazy $400!) but it gives no clear indication what the package includes.  There are wee tasters I guess, but I just want to know if any of the packages contains Mystical Lighting, or something close to it?   So does anyone use any of the current Autofx products and can help me out?  I'd be happy to pay US$150 if I knew I was getting the featur

I have noticed that with current versions of PS that it is VERY fiddly to resize windows at the upper right corner. If you miss it by a pixel, it doesnt bring up the resize icon. Is there a workaround? If possible, I would like to suggest the active area for resizing be expanded if not.Thank you. 

As soon as I click on opening photoshop it loads but nothing opens. In my task manager it still shows the program. No error codes. Just did a factory rested as well. All drivers up to date.Best,ole

Whenever I click open on creative cloud (or try to start photoshop from anywhere), nothing happens. When I check the task manager it says that Photoshop 2023 is open but I can't use it. I've tried deleting preferences, downgrading versions, ending the process on task manager, and fully reinstalling it twice. I don't really understand why it won't work, it was working fine 2 days ago.

Hi,the Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E shortcut is not working on my cs5. So if I clicked on buttons nothing happened. When I click only Ctrl+Shift+E everything is OK and it creates a new layer with all layers which were visible. But I want COPY the merged all layers into new layer, but it does not work. Is there another way without shortcut to do this? What can be the problem? I saw this happened to someone, but the issue was not solved. ps. using XP, 32bit versionThank you

I understand that on Windows-based systems certain system add-ons are needed to open HEIC image files, however, I am running macOS 11.7.10 and when I try to open an HEIC image file imported from my iPhone, Photoshop v. 22.2.0 immediately crashes. The HEIC file is otherwise good as it can be opened by the Apple Preview App just fine. After searching for a while, it looks like this issue between opening an iPhone HEIC file and Photoshop crashing has been around for a few years now, but it still is happening. Will there ever be a fix for this, or should I look at an alternate photo editor? Is there a 3rd party plug-in for Photoshop to read HEIC files or an App that can automatically convert a large batch of HEIC files to JPEG? I realize that I can individually convert the HEIC file via Preview to a JPEG and Photoshop does just fine with that legacy format, but I don't want to have to do that for each of the 1000 pictures already in HEIC format on my iPhone. can someone explain to me why the web version of photoshop basic won't let me edit any more images after only one image, and instead constantly prompts me to purchase the firefly bundle? I was relying on photoshop for editing my game assets without compromising the resolution or coloration, but now I cannot upload my images to edit them.

Hi all, I have a robust brush collection and ever since the 2026 update about half of brushes that I use that I had installed previously or install new have strange artifact shapes that get added to them but ONLY in 2026 and 2027. When I go back to 2025 or 2022 those same exact brushes work completely normally. It's infurating. Im having a lot of trouble with the mesh tool beacuse my text lost a lot of detail and im thinking of another way like with the arc or arch tool but i cannot make the text go like "melted" from the middle, does any body know how to make it work? i know it has to lost some detail but not that much to deform all of my text

I have installed some Adobe Camera Raw presets I purchased but they don't show up when I click on the Preset icon in Camera Raw. I believe I have them installed in the correct place:   ~Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw/settings   I can see also them in Camera Raw when I click on the "load settings", but not when I click on the Preset icon   Does anyone have a solution?   Thanks

This morning trying to use generative fill in Photoshop and got the message "We're experiencing delays due to high demand. Please try again later."

Hi there! Up until recently I was able to load a PNG file into Photoshop, made a few changes (remove something, resize, etc) and if I was having layers I would flatten the file first, then using Ctrl-S I could save the file in the same file format (PNG) with the same name, overwriting the initial file.It was fine!Now, everytime I do the same, trying to save (Ctrl-S) a file, it shows me the JPEG Options window. But I DON'T want to save it as jpg, I want the same loaded (PNG) file format.This is delaying my workflow a lot, by forcing me to use "Save as" and some more clicks.Is it a bug? Is is a "new" feature? If so, I don't want it 😛  

I'm on PS 2026, laptop (Lenovo Legion; GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU) ... I have been using the new version of Photoshop for a few days - and suddenly today I can't open it. When I click the icon nothing happens (no loadingscreen) ... if I click CTRL+shift+ESC, it shows me that Photoshop 2026 is running in the background (each time I click the PS-icon, it adds a new intance on the list). All other Adobe apps work just fine.  Does anyone know how to help this issue??? I have updated the graphicscard to the latest version.  

I am not sure where to post this and ask. Situation: Had been working for a few hours on a PhotoShop file which was from a template for Film&Video. I even had saved and named a preset for this when opening it. I layered only Adobe PhotoShop Firefly generated stillimages from where I had made small selections cut out and made them into a one image-whole. I planned to use this composition in Adobe Firefly and Firefly Beta to see what it can make of it. I am sure that I hade saved it. But did I save it for the first time only right after I crash dump report pop-up came in front of the PhotoShop view? Am not sure. It said PhotoShop crashed and need to be closed but I was still able to move the crash popup aside and started to save everything that I had open in the desktop app. And closed the tabs in a controlled manner. But, after a while the whole PhotoShop was completely frozen and did not react to anything. I could minimize and maximize it from Windows menu bar, nothi

I am not a Photoshop user.  A teacher has a MBA M1 (district) computer and a Macbook Pro (Personal) computer.  For some reason, PS doesn't work good on the MBA and the teacher needs to use for yearbook related stuff.  Can PS be installed and used off of an external drive?

Hi all, I'm going crazy here. I have the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU (which is on the list of supported GPUs: Adobe Premiere Pro System Requirements) but I'm getting a message that it's incompatible, a driver update is recommended and Open GL is unavailable.I've checked and the driver is up to date and I don't get this message if I disable my Intel UHD Graphics, but is this the only option? Surely it's more benficial to have 2 GPUs running? I've tried changing my settings to 'force' PS to use the NVIDIA GPU but still get this message. If Intel UHD Graphics is enabled, then I can't even select "Use Graphics Processor" in Preferences / Performance although it identifies my NVIDIA GPU, as shown below: Is this typical for Adobe, or could there be a fault with my GPUs? They seem to think they're ok but computer performance begs to differ... Thanks, Julia

Like the title says. Specifically, this happens when using the Firefly models, both 1 and 3.I'm using Photoshop 27.0.0. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?  The same thing happens to my colleague. We have unlimited generative fill credits and 4000'ish premium credits. Yesterday we had our IT toggle on the 'non-Adobe AI models' function in the Admin Console. Might be related?

C'est extrêmement frustrant. Après 25 à l'utiliser et à payer des licences je ne cesse de me demander pourquoi je continue !Un exemple ? Impossible de redimensionner une image de 1024px par manque de ressources sur le disque dur. Il y a 6go de disponible ! 6Go et je ne peux pas redimensionner une image alors que n'importe quel site Web permet de le faire. C'est absolulement ridicule et inacceptable d'en arriver là. La course à l'armement est terminée. Nous voulons des solutions, légères, efficaces, agnostiques et des problèmes réglés par sur-ajoutés.Adobe était un leader qui travaillait pour sa communauté mais le monde change et l'entreprise va finir par disparaitre à ce rythme.
