I have my document displayed on 100 %.I make Generative Fill layer.I want to see whole picture with Fit on Screen (Ctrl+0).But shortcut doesnt always Fit on Screen, instead randomly opens up Smart Sharpen filter, which has Ctrl+F5 shortcut assigned).Latest PS updated, Win 11.
I attempt to open jpg, nef or psd file and photoshop will not open.
After the latest update the Remove tool is no longer working for me. Even when I click on a tiny area on the same layer it results in a programm error. When I disable AI, it works but the results are terrible for larger areas.I have already increase the available RAM to 12 GB, deleted the cache and the preferences, checked the GPU compatibility, switched the Remove toool to More Stable and tried unchecking GPU. None these worked.OS Windows 11 Photoshop 27.9.1 in German
Issue summary: Since Photoshop 2025 (exact version unknown, but after 25.12.4) direction-based brush strokes, when set in the brush settings (Shape Dynamics - Angle Jitter - Direction), are not working properly. The very first 'pixel' of nearly every stroke is angled about 90 degrees perpendicular, before correcting itself immediately as the stroke continues. This breaks a previously working workflow. The problem is only mitigated by using external stabilisation (I’m using Lazy Nezumi Pro with light smoothing), which suggests the issue is related to how initial pen input samples are handled at stroke start. I also ideally need to have 1% smoothing enabled in Photoshop, or the bug can lightly reoccur occasionally. Using older Photoshop versions avoids the issue, but this is not a viable long-term solution due to other compatibility and stability concerns. I have used these brushes for years with no issues until recently.Product and version: 25.12.4. (laptop) the bug does not occur in th
Expected: Content-Aware Crop should use pixels from the original image as sampling material, but only generate/fill pixels in the newly expanded canvas area.Actual: In Photoshop 27.9.1, Content-Aware Crop also modifies and blends pixels inside the original image bounds. This can distort products/models near the crop boundary. In professional retouching this is destructive because original product pixels must remain unchanged. This behavior appears to have changed after a recent Photoshop update. Previous versions did not modify the original image area in the same workflow.
Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.4.0 2Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit When I go to Image → Canvas Size, the default is always pixels. I want it to be inches. Note: I have checked in preferences, units and measures, and the default is inches. Also when I go to image → Image size, the default is in fact inches, which is what I expect. Is the default unit for image → canvas size now different? Is there a different place to set it? thanks
I have several M1 Macs—from Mac mini to iMac—and they all have the same issue. Whenever I open Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign, even if I don’t do anything, WindowServer will jump to around 80–90% GPU usage. Once I start working with files, even just opening a single image, the whole system becomes choppy and starts dropping frames, with GPU usage almost maxed out.But : if I switch the app to full-screen with menu bar mode (press F), the window shadows disappear, GPU usage drops back to normal, and everything runs smoothly—even with large files open. This makes it pretty clear the issue is related to how window shadows are being handled in macOS 26 and how it interacts with Adobe apps. It’s been months since Adobe 26 came out, and I’ve been waiting for updates to fix this, but even the latest versions still haven’t solved it. At this point, I’m wondering if it’s even fixable.M1 Macs are not that old—most Mac minis and iMacs from around 2021–2022 are still M1, so they’re definitely n
OS: Windows 11 Versions: All version of PS after 2022 (as far as I cant tell). While the drawing/painting with the Brushes panel open, it will sometimes flicker to a white image. The brushes disappear, and this image is seen: Reproduction: Make strokes with various brushes. (I'm using a Wacom tablet.) This seems to occur most when switching to a new brush. However it is somewhat random. You may have to try mulitple brushes for 2-3 minutes before it appears. Sometimes it happens right away, while sometimes it is less frequent.
SummaryA regression was introduced between Photoshop 27.4 and Photoshop 27.5 affecting Adobe Fonts integration.Starting with Photoshop 27.5, Photoshop permanently displays a fixed set of Adobe Fonts in the font picker, even when those fonts are not synchronized. The issue is isolated to Photoshop and does not occur in Illustrator, InDesign, or other Adobe applications. The regression is still present in the latest Photoshop release (27.8.x) and in Photoshop Beta.EnvironmentOperating SystemWindows 11 (clean installation)Adobe Applications TestedPhotoshop 27.4.x → Works correctly Photoshop 27.5.x → Regression introduced Photoshop 27.8.x → Issue persists Photoshop Beta → Issue persists Illustrator → Works correctly InDesign → Works correctlyCreative Cloud DesktopLatest available versionAdobe FontsEnabled only for manually synchronized fontsExpected BehaviorPhotoshop should display:Locally installed fonts. Hi Adobe Photoshop team,my name is Gianpiero Veronio. I use Photoshop regularly for graphic and cover-art work, and while working on a recent project I noticed a reproducible geometry/rendering issue with the Line Tool.I was able to reproduce the behavior consistently, so I prepared a short report with screenshots and technical notes in case it may be useful to the Photoshop engineering team.Issue summaryWhen a dashed stroke and an arrowhead are used together on a Line shape, the line becomes visibly tilted even though the Transform rotation remains at 0.00°.Steps to reproduceCreate a line as a Shape using the Line Tool. Set the stroke width to 10 px. Apply a dashed stroke. Make sure the line rotation is exactly 0.00°. Enable an arrowhead on the line.Actual resultThe dashed line becomes visibly inclined while the Transform panel still reports 0.00° rotation.Expected resultAdding an arrowhead should affect the arrowhead geometry only. A line at 0.00° rotation should remain horizontal.I
I just updated my Photoshop this morning to version 27.9.0 and now, no matter what file format or options I use to export an image, the export appears washed out or sun-bleached.On a Reddit, I found the solution (posted 11 hours ago, very much in the same timeframe as I began experiencing it), which is to go into Preferences, under Performance, and uncheck Use Graphics Processor:https://www.reddit.com/r/photoshop/comments/1vak5kj/photoshop_update_and_now_my_images_look_washed/This should definitely be fixed. Thanks so much.
Using Save As Photoshop PDF, I was able to save PDFs above 50,000 pixels wide yesterday using 27.8.After updating to 27.9.1 this morning I could no longer save a Photoshop PDF above approximately30,000 pixels wide (Photoshop PDF was no longer an option in the dropdown). After reverting back to 27.8 I can now save PDFs from files over 50,000 pixels wide again.
Since version 27.4 and continuing in 27.5 I’ve been experiencing image flickering when using the Curves adjustment. In version 27.4, the issue occurs in all Curves use cases. In 27.5, it appears primarily when applying Curves as a Smart Adjustment on a Smart Object. It is slightly improved, but still noticeable when using Curves as a standard adjustment layer.I’ve attached a video demonstrating the issue: The first example shows Curves applied as a Smart Adjustment on a Smart Object (strong flickering). The second shows a direct adjustment on a non-Smart Object layer (no issue). The third shows a standard adjustment layer (minor flickering still visible). The flickering is clearly visible, especially in the first case. Please look into this issue, as it makes precise adjustments very difficult.Thank you.example video:https://youtu.be/jbe6K-ORr44
The on-device Remove Tool is consistently slower than Cloud Remove on an Apple M1 Pro (32 GB RAM). The slowdown becomes severe when removing multiple small objects such as electrical outlets. SystemMacBook Pro M1 Pro 32 GB RAM macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 Photoshop 27.8.0 Native Apple Silicon GPU acceleration enabledExampleOne outlet: Cloud: ~6 seconds Device: ~15 seconds Eight outlets: Device processing takes several minutes. Even on a blank 2000×2000 document with a simple black rectangle, Device Remove takes around 10-20 seconds.I have already:Reset Photoshop preferences. Reinstalled the AI model. Tested newest Photoshop Beta and rolled back to 27.7- neither affected the issue Verified GPU acceleration is enabled. Confirmed Photoshop is running natively on Apple Silicon.

I have been using the remove tool for general clean up for months now. But since the update for PS CC 2026 it is borderline unusuable. I haven’t read much about it on here, so I though I’d ask if this is an actual but or a simple case of “ens***ification. Ever since the 2026 update I can no longer replace details in snow or sand textures for example because the resulting textures either rendered by the AI or in Photoshop itself do no longer look like the neighbouring textures but patchy, blurry and simply unusable. It doesn’t matter whether I set AI to auto, on or off. Results look like from 2010’s patch tool basically, neither texture, nor color or luminosity match the general area. On top of that for about two months now the tool has become incredibly slow for whatever reason and since I do have a 300mbit fiber conection I doubt it is the internet needed for the transfer of the image data as has been hinted at here on the forums recently.I then tried to simply mark the areas I would

Mac M4 Max 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD, OS Tahoe 26.5.2, MacBook Pro 4588I regularly use Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop, occasionally other products.I most often use my MacBook closed with an external wide screen, wireless keyboard and mouse, at home, and it works great. When at home, I have use 2 USB-C ports for everything connected - 1 is for the super wide screen and the other goes to a hub that has various drives connected, ethernet cable from router, external devices like camera, speakers etc. I always fully power down before unplugging these USB cables, without fail. When I sometimes switch off the machine and disconnect it from all external devices so that I can use the laptop on its own while travelling for work, I always hit a problem when launching Photoshop for the first time in this configuration.I get a message that Photoshop is damaged and cannot run, and I have to re-install it. This is very tedious, and what is really annoying is that I always loose all of my per
I am experiencing a consistent issue with Generative Fill in Photoshop 27.8 on my MacBook Pro 13" with Apple M1 (16 GB RAM) running macOS 26.5.1. After launching Photoshop, Generative Fill works correctly for only two or three generations. After that, every new Generative Fill produces severely corrupted results with random black, red, yellow, or blue artifacts. Restarting Photoshop temporarily resolves the issue, but it returns after another few generations. The problem occurs with both empty prompts and text prompts, and it does not depend on the size of the selection. It happens on multiple Canon CR2 RAW files that previously worked without any issues, and the corruption is visible not only in Photoshop but also in exported images. Interestingly, the Remove Tool, which also uses Generative AI, works normally and has never produced this problem.I have already reset Photoshop preferences, reinstalled Photoshop, Camera Raw, and Adobe Bridge, and updated macOS to the latest available ver
Dialogue box stops appearing after using PS for 15-30 minutes. The only fix is to restart the application then restart the computer as restarting the application only works for so long. I am currently running PS 27.8 on a Mac with Tahoe 26.4
I’ve reported this already in “Bug Reports” and my post was deleted with no resolution and no communication. I’ve reposted there and now looking for help here! When “opening as layers in photoshop” the images are very slow to load in PS 27.8 vs. 27.7. This problem is confirmed by several other users I know. What used to take 11 seconds now takes 17 seconds. There’s a new behavior where each of the layers “flashes” up on screen for a split second before the loading actually starts and it takes significantly longer than it used. Downgrading to 27.7 restores correct (fast) functionality. Why would my bug report get deleted and if there’s a bug then, how are we supposed to report it so that Adobe will address it? Thanks
Mac Studio M1 Ultra, Tahoe 26.5.1Photoshop 27.9.0 I have been testing the new Harmonize feature a bunch, and all other quirks it has aside, it is near impossible for me to adjust the masks that it produces. I am not sure what is causing this (Gen-AI is my guess..) but I would describe it as an input-lag. If I am trying to manually adjust the mask with the brush tool, I am met with such a delay that I am unable to do anything precise. The Harmonize feature seems to function at a normal speed, it it just customizing the mask that it produces that lags. I would not imagine my hardware matters here since nearly every other Photoshop feature runs pretty quickly and the M1 Ultra chip is still quite powerful.

The AI repair brush is not working in version 27.4. An error message appears when I set it to AI ON. When AI is set to AI AUTO, a pattern appears where the brush is supposed to repair. Please fix this bug.
I am still having this issue as of today in the full release, Photoshop 2026 27.9.0. Is there a fix beyond disabling the graphics processor? Turning off graphics processor fixes this issue, but causes Ps to run very slowly.I am not using the Beta version.
