Hello,I have been using CS6 Extended for a long time (since 2016 I guess) and I started getting this error today, was researching the possible reasons. Does anyone have any info about this issue and suggestions on how to fix it once and for all?If you look at the community, I'm probably the rookie of the rookies in here, and don't even have advanced PS and scripting knowledge. When choosing the right click>open in Photoshop 2025 option from lightroom the app (photoshop) will open but does not open the image to edit. Repeating that right click (etc) the window will switch to photoshop but at that point the app freezes (completely unresponsive) and can't be closed normally without using the windows task manager.  I've tried:-Resetting lightroom preferences as recommended in previous postshttps://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/quot-edit-in-photoshop-2025-quot-freezes-lightroom-classic-when-trying-to-edit-a-tif-file/m-p/15094679#M393353-Uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop entirely I see this issue has been reported several years in the past and wonder if maybe Adobe should focus less on AI and pay humans to do quality control. I never had issues with basic functionality like this 10-20 years ago. Any help is appreciated.

Running Photoshop 26.8 on a windows 11 PC, latest updates and AMD graphics driversRyzen 7 7800xAnd Radeon 6800x 8g64g ramToday I have had Photoshop lock up using the quick remove tool. After 3 or 4 images, ps freezes. Images are brought in from bridge, through camera raw. Tried turning off ai for the quick remove tool. Rebooted, too. Same result. Current workaround is to open the files in PS, save them as PSD files, then re-open them and the problem hasn't happened again. Still, I never had to do this on the past. Started with 26.8. 

Hello, in the last several weeks generative fill in photoshop has been less and less effective. It started as the command 'remove' leaving artifacts and adding words, and now it cant generate results for any image that are convincing or usable in my projects. Trying to change the background of a photo, the prompt I generated was 'black steel workbench' and it just kept generating white backgrounds. Not matching the prompt, not usable in the project, and it's been like this for weeks across multiple projects and prompts. It used to be so good! It used to be usable! What changed? A new algorithm?

Adobe PhotoShop 26.8.1.   Something is wrong with PhotoShop or with my image.  As you can see in the image, the shadow, which I have tried setting at 100% shows the same color as the text color.  The highlight works, but the shadow does not.  I have tried resetting preferences, adjusting the altitude, trying various of the modes, and it does not show.  I opened another document where it was working, copied that layer's effects and the shadow did not show.  Then I tried pasting that layer into this image and the shadow effect disappeared.  I tried setting the image to 16 bit and 32 bit, and it did not work.  I updated the program this morning in case that would help, but it did not.  I must be missing something.   I've been using bevel and emboss for years without this problem.  Please help!

When using certain brushes in Photoshop (generally seems to be more pencil/pastel brushes), these lines appear when I go over certain areas of the canvas. It's almost like the brush is tiling itself or that it's highlighting something underneath (when there is nothing underneath).  I've tried every suggestion I can find online and from the Adobe chat robot, including changing spacing/scattering, having dual brush turned off, etc. I've attached an image that shows what happens; this is literally just from me drawing a patch of texture with a downloaded pencil brush and the lines just appear as if I'm doing a brass rubbing or something. This has been an ongoing issue for YEARS (and always has been for these particular brushes). Has anyone had a similar issue or can anyone suggest any fixes?

when recording an action to load selection from a mask (ctrl+clicking the mask), the action works fine as long as we have a layer selected and not a group. I know I can temporarily create a layer and then load the selection and then delete the layer, but that's a lot of overhead.

I have a problem with a large file of work on photoshop, and frankly its getting annoying after using most (almost all) tips i found on discussions here.I attempted an uninstallation and reinstall, nothing worked.changing to an old version the file had once worked on, it did not work.I have the repeated constance of the same error'Could not load the user measurement scale presets file because Photoshop does not recognise this type of file.'This is about 5-6 months (0.97 gb) worth of work and i really need access back to it, even backups are having the same issue. I'm still looking for a solution as i write this, if anyone else had the same issue and found a long term solution, please reply.

I'm using Photoshop on a 2022 MacBook Air M2. I can't export GIFs from Photoshop. I get an error message about write permissions on my PC. Can you help me?  

so i'm trying to make a sharp-cornered outline in photoshop (in contrast to the curved borders in Layer Style) by turning a raster selection into a work path and i'm trying to turn it into a shape so i can give it a sharp outline, but when i select the path and convert it to a shape... it's grayed out   note that i'm not really sure if i even successfully turned the path into a shape, i just clicked the dropdown saying path and changed it to shape this is the path/shape i want to add an outline to: is there any way i can convert it to a regular layer or make it a shape?   i run Adobe Photoshop 26.8.1 on Windows 11

ps Version 26.8.1   win11 64xLost PS？Or is Adobe lost?Getting bigger and bigger, slower and slower, frequent updates, and constant bugs. In the dialog box for changing the image size.If you press Alt+R, the cursor should jump to the resolution position.But now, it seems that another dialog box pops up, and you see that you can't move it. You can only press ESC to exit.It seems to have become a magnifying glass? I am truly lost. Later, I found that the shortcut key I set for Ctrl+Q to open the image size settings also didn't work...There must be a "bug" somewhere. 

This issue happened for multiple times. Sometimes, while I was drawing, which I was using a brush tool. Then, when I discovered the brush I'm using is erasing my work, I suddenly realize the brush blendmode has become 'Clear'. I was using zooming(Z) and rotation (R) temporarily while using the brush as the main tool. I don't know which key I was accidentally pressing that altered the blendmode.Anyone kind enough to dig into this topic? I guess it would be cool to find out, some would prefer this key as a shorthand tool between brush and eraser, I would prefer disabling it.

Hi PS Team, looking urgent attention here. I am missing lots of features in this PS version 4.4 for iPad while comparing with other windows based PS desktop version, specially look & feel and then rulers tool is completely missing. Am getting all same features in this PS v4.4 for iPAD compare to any other windows or online versions? The problem is, even if there are similar features available, there is no much help available online and even not seeing proper responses from your side in the forum or so. Looking forward for your urgent support while I am spending time on this new PS iPad specific version. PLEASE REPLY ASAP, this will help a lots. Thank you. Regards,Ranjana

Hi, I'm just trying to find some help as I've just updated my photoshop to the most recent update on my MacBook but when I use it after about 2 minutes I get a pop up saying if I'd like to save my project before I quit photoshop when I've never clicked to quit photoshop so i basically am unable to use the software for longer than 2 minutes. I tried googling to find a solution but I couldn't find anything so if anyone knows anything I could try it would be great.

Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents."Ever since the latest CC 2015 update (and maybe before that? I don't remember.), I can print from Illustrator, InDesign, etc., but NOT from Photoshop. I tried to read through the forums, and it seems like Adobe blames the printer companies and vice versa. I made sure I was using the latest printer drivers for both Epson Stylus Pro 11880 and HP Color LaserJet MFP M476dn (0F594D), both of which were printing fine out of Photoshop before. Now, when I open a file in PS, I can click on Print once. The above message appears in its own little window: "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents". After that, the Print... and the "Print One Copy" commands are both grayed out. But I HAVE selected a printer. Any thoughts?

Photoshop neural filter superzoom crash whole windows after i press x2 or remove jpg artifact, no error given, no bsod, just blank screen and restart.It happen 6 time in a row, also try with a different gpu.

Here is a before and after example.I have verified this is in both regular PhotoShop and the beta.    

 When I select where to apply blur in Field Blur, a circular controller should appear and I should be able to adjust the blur value by dragging. However, I don't see the controller. I can adjust the blur value. What's the problem? Graphics acceleration is checked.The image below is what happens when the controller is displayed normally. 

I've had this problem with ACR for a while on two different computers, but now it's starting to annoy me. When I open a RAW file with ACR and do nothing - I only have the file open - ACR consumes between 50 and 80 % of my 16-core CPU:CPU utilization is lower during actions. Like, when I run AI denoise on a raw file, CPU goes down as long as the process is running. As soon as denoise is completed, CPU consumption returns and fans turn up.Both my old and new computers have Intel chipset graphics, can that be related? Still don't know why doing nothing would consume so much CPU ...
