Photoshop

So about 2 hours ago i accidently clicked don't save in my adobe photoshop 2025 project. I want to recover it but I have tried all ways and none of them work.  Is there any way to recover the 'Don't Save' file?there must be a way because when i created a new project it should automatically save for me right theres no way it doesnt. can anybody help me please this is very important to me

Does Photoshop have a pref that lets me disable panning via my mouse's touch surface? (Does Illustrator?)

I have a jpeg that is 42 x 56 inches 72dpi and I need to produce a high quality print at a much smaller size of 2 x 2.6 inches 72dpi. How do I reduce this large file without losing quality. When I do it , it becomes very pixelated. Is there a way to reduce image size without pixelation? I don't care how big the file size is, it's the image size I want to reduce. The purpose of this exercise is to produce a very much smaller photographic print. It is NOT for web design. Thanks in advance

Hi All, Never seen this in all my years using PS. With the new update (one version back and the latest) when I select a layer and "convert to smart object", the image disappears. Specifically I am pasting images into a predefined shape. I convert them to smart objects when I want to move them around easier or rasterize into a final composition. Not sure what is happening. I researched looking for answers and it doesn't seem anyone else is having this issue?Thanks for any help!Chris

Issue: Photoshop version: 26.4.1OS: Sequia 15.3.1Steps to reproduce:Create a gif using the video timeline mode (30 fps). In my case, I typically use Import > Video Frames to Layers, but the same exact thing happens when I import images to layers and create a video timeline from it.Change nothing for timeline speed (leave at default).Export this gif using the Save for Web (legacy). Options chosen don't appear to matter here. When using the 2025 PS version, the value in the feather dialog box has changed the way it behaves.In the 2024 version and all the previous, when entering i.e. 5px. and clicking the down arrow, the value changes to 4.9. This is very important for me as in many ocasions, if I need 0.7px I will just hit 1 followed by thee strokes on the down arrow. In the 2025 version, this changes and with the arrow, up or down,  goes to whole numbers (4px 3px 2px...) Has anyone experienced the same? Any solution will be most appreciated.Thanks!

Hi allIf I try to copy one of my text layers I get the error:Could not make a new layer from the selection because the pixels in a type layer cannot be modified without first rasterizing the layer.If I try to move it using the arrow keys I get:Could not nudge the selection because the pixels in a type layer cannot be modified without first rasterizing the layer.This is a recurring but inconsistent issue - when I close the file and reopen it I can copy and move the layer just fine. It would be much faster and simpler to have a right-click option on a layer to “Export Layer As…” with common formats like JPEG, PNG, etc. Unless that already exists somewhere?

I just downloaded Photoshop 2024. I want to print a 5x7 photo. I have not printed in many months. For some unknown reason I cannot get a borderless print. And I do not see any setting for selecting borderless prints.I am using Mac OS Ventura 13.5.2. My printer is a HP OfficeJet Pro 8210. I just installed the latest drivers from HP. In this past I have been able to print borderless photos using this computer (Mac Studio) and this printer.Thanks,Edward Volchok

Whenever I use File>Scripts>Load Files into Stack, one image loads, then another layer titled, "load layers" loads and the screen flashes black and white. I have to use task manager to quit PS. PS, my drivers, and Windows are all up to date. I've tried it with different images and different folders; same result. I've also tried loading them from a Bridge stack; same result. Photoshop version 24.3Windows 10 Home Version 22H2, OS Build 19045.2728

Hi. I'm just going through this error when exporting a png. When I apply a layer in app it works just fine, but when I export it moves from the spot where it was suposed to be. Here is an exemple:  The first one is the exported png, the second one is in app preview. The only solution I found was to convert to smart object each gradient, but this is overwork. Imagine doing it for fifity layouts a month, not to mention when I forget to do it and find out I'll have to redo all the process. I already tried the Classic Gradient option but with no success. Any ideas?

I save my project files with adobe cloud and install all my apps on a different storage drive (Disk D) including adobe softwares. When opening PS, it takes my 20gb of my storage drive where my OS (Disk C) is only installed. When using it, 100gb free in my Disk C are gone and turns it to NTFS and makes me unable to save my file locally, or even as cloud save/storage because of PS. Despite use the other drive, Disk D for cloud storage and scratch disk, temp files etc, this still happened. Already purge my files and even remove scratch disk options are now gone. Still, it's not enough to save locally or on cloud.

The following errors occurs in PS 26.6.1 and the previous version when I attempt to execute Camera Raw Filter with or without a Smart Filter:              Could not update smart object files because of a program error.              Could not update Camera Raw Filter because of a program error.This does not happen with many of the other filters, like Smart Sharpen, Noise, etc.File size could be the issue:The error can be reproduced with images over 1 or 2 GB, but NOT on small files.Restarting the program will sometimes work.Restarting the computer fixes the problem temporarily, but it eventually comes back.Computer Info:Windows 10, 58 GB RAM available to PS, NVidia 2070 Super 8 GB Graphics Card, 300GB available scratch disk space. 

This is a section of a 200 year old quilt.  In some areas you can see the stitching, but not in most areas- it's just too faint right now.  Is there a technique in Photoshop that would bring out the stitching that is there, but is too faint for the eye to see?  If so, could you please provide the name of the tool or technique so I can research this?  This is a question far past my Facebook ability. Thanks for your help!

Photoshop keeps changing the UI language to Finnish, no matter what I try to do to keep it in English.  My creative cloud app is in English, the default install language is set as English, I even changed my windows to English in trying to resolve this. I have uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop MANY times, and although when I first boot up the program, it is correctly in English (Finnish doesn't even show up in the UI settings as an option), the second time I open PS, it invariably pops up in Finnish.  Can someone please troubleshoot this for me? It's incredibly frustrating, as I have always used PS in English, and trying to parse the options in a new version, where things are not necessarily where I'm used to them being, and it really slows down my workflow. I'm on Windows 11 Home 24H2, using the desktop app version 25.12.1

For the longest time now I have lost the pixels shown on the cursor when using the Marquee Tool.I used to measure with the marquee tool to see the distances between fonts or other gutter/margins. I don't understand how it got lost and all the videos and google searches only end up with people just casually having it but nobody seems to lost it/have it missing/missing it. Could anyone please help me!

i have download new photoshop version 26.6 and still getting freeze screen while editing as i have a pc and hp omen laptop with 4060 ryzn 7700 16GB 1tb SSD but still i dont know when i try to copy past its like freeeeeeezeee !!! only task manager help to close that ps otherwise i dont know what to do, why this is happening there is no space issue or anything as i already checked in task manager let me know if you have any way to resolve this.

My work chiefly involves compositing.  One problem I encounter frequently is blurring based on depth of field.  I may want to extract an element from an image in my database to incorporate into a new image.  Sometimes, I'll have an element that works well except that it is slightly out of focus because of depth of field.  Often, I can overcome that using various tools available in Photoshop.  (I find the texture feature in Camera Raw to be particularly effective in enhancing the apparent sharpness of slightly blurred areas.)  I've been seeing quite a few advertisements for AI powered sharpening plugins (e.g., from Topaz).  I'm wondering if any of you has had experience with sharpening  (detail extraction) software that offers any significant capability beyond Photoshop's own native capability.

I am creating logos in which I need a transparent background. I have searched many forums including this one and all the answers diddnt work. I require a step by step (every step) approach to ensure that I get a transparent background.I have tried saving an EPS file through illistrator and Photoshop. They all turn out to give a white background.Thanks in advance for your time.
