Photoshop

Hi,  I'd really appreciate some help with this, as at the moment it seems like using photoshop is causing my macs other storage to balloon and go from about 230 gb of free space to next to nothing in about 20 mins! Not sure if there might be some update or setting that can help or if anyone else has had this issue.  Might be that using other Adobe programs also affects it as well. I use Illustrator and Indesign but Photoshop seems to affect it the worse.  Apples help was to suggest the usual deleting of cahes and unwanted files and resets, but regular factory resets are a pain and time consuming and drastic.  I'd really like to know if there's anyting that might be causing this.  Any help would be massively appreciated.  Thanks.  

So... I've been having this problem for a while: usually to unselect an object i just click around in the screen, but now I can only unselect it when i click the layers tab. Mabye I pressed some random weird combination of keys? Idk I also left a video of the problem If anyone may know how to fix it, thanks.

In the last few weeks I've noticed that when I open Photoshop some of the UI is gone.It's not always the same items and the problem comes and goes.It occurs most when I open a blank Photoshop and least when I open a psd file that launches Photoshop.But it does occur in both scenarions. Items that have not been there when I opened Photoshop. The buttons on the Toolbar (Eraser, pencil etc)The Home viewThe contents of File New tabs e.g. A4 Paper.  Regardsless of usinbg the new or legacy interface. What is causing this?

buenas, llevo meses buscando la opción de DUPLICAR CAPAS VISIBLES en photoshop sin utilizar el atajo de teclado y no he encontrado nada. ¿Es posible hacerlo?, gracias

Hi, I am using photoshop for iPad for several weeks so far however, I am into PS desktop for many years. The problem on my PS iPad version is, move tool does not move things smoothly. Once I try to drag a layer around, it moves 5-10 pixels on each drag. I cant do precise edits. I want to move my layers one pixel sometimes but I cant. Anyone has the same issue? Or is it just my iPad? Or maybe there is a setting that needs to be switched on?

Is there a simple way to knock out white (or any other color) in Photoshop CS5?It's hard for me to imagine that in this day and age, doesn't have an easy method of doing what this plug-in allowed us to do over a decade ago.Surely, by now, I can stop installing this plug-in (originally created for PS on Win95).

I can get around PS as needed and am googling videos, but I am a little behind the 8 ball on this one. I am going to be lazy and ask.  I have 25.3.1 on a mac M3. Please refer to a pic my freind sent me. I am going to transfer my image to a laser and cut it on wood. I am not sure where she found this image, but it is very  busy and needs to be cleaned up. I would like to drop the state flag into each individual state. I would like to be able to move the flag around, resize it and even edit it.  Do you tell PS to make a "clipping mask"  for each state.Then can you drop in an image and and work it from there?Can I use the crop function and other effects on that flag while inside a state?  I am sure it is simple, I just have to figure it out.  If you give me an answer, please don't just say make a "clipping mask". Please give me direction on how to do this and duplicate it. If I miss a step, I will frustrate trying to get it to work. Thanks

Hello everyone,I am having a problem when running an action to enhance the color of an object.I usually subtract all the contaminated colors (yellow of light, blue, etc). However, when I increase the color with the action, the problem occurs that the color is contaminated with blue and pink.My friend and I did the same thing and got 2 different cases.I temporarily fixed it by white balancing (auto) before subtracting the color but I still don't understand how it works. So I am writing this article to consult everyone's opinions.Thank you for all the upcoming comments. 

I've been dealing with this problem for nearly a year.  I use Adobe Applications on 2 computers, one at home one at the office. Both Windows 10 PCs I built.One of PCs (Hostname: LD-HOME) does not release activation when rebooted. Every time after reboot I start Photoshp (or any other Adobe App) I get error "You've Reached Your Device Activation Limit"You can see in the screenshot below that it shows 3 devices, 2 of which are the same "LD-HOME" (This Device is LD-HOME).I spoke to 3 different support agents and all they can tell me is to deactivate computer via https://account.adobe.com/activated-devicesThis obviously works... until next reboot.I've already checked "Credential Manager" service and it's running.

Hello, hoping for some help and pointers if I'm doing something wrong here! First time trying to stitch an image together from a series of images. This is a series of 12 scans across a painting to create one larger, highly detailed image. I've tried to use both Photomerge and the Load Files into Stack script, in both options I load the images under browse and once they're listed in the Files box, click OK but then the box just closes and nothing happens.I work directly off of OneDrive so wondered initially if this was an issue with it loading from a cloud drive, I've then saved the images into a folder on my Desktop and loaded from there but get the same result. When loading the images it takes quite a while to do that but each image is between 1-1.6MB so these aren't huge image files. Am I missing something or is this just a broken feature in my version? Is anyone else getting this issue in the latest version of Photoshop?I'm on a Mac running Sequoia 15.3.2, Photoshop version 26.

Why isn't there a magnetic pen tool? Surely it would be easier to have now that selecting is getting better?

Hello, I'm having challenges with Illustrator vectors not showing up in Photoshop. If I copy from Illustrator and paste into Photoshop it acts like it is there - it's a new layer smart object, it just does not show. If I double click the smart object it opens in Illustrator so it's kind of there... just won't show. same thing happens if I open an illustrator eps file. I'm on Photoshop 21.2.1 and Illustrator 24.2.1. Please tell me someone knows what the heck is going on.

In PS I’m always using the History window. I love when I’m at state #43 (e.g.) and I want to go back to state #27 and restart from there, it’s just one click. Now I exit, save my work, and then re-open my psd file. My Layer window is there BUT the History window is empty and I want to go back to my old state #27.  It would be great if Adobe created a function in PS that would record every keystroke (like an action) which could be saved with the file then be run on the original file (hopefully unchanged) to get back to state #27. Since Adobe would be saving keystrokes, rather than large layers, the “action” shouldn’t (??) create too large a file. Would save HUGE amounts of time. 

Hey. It's the first time I struggle with this, weirdly, but I try to put in a list in a text box and it auto-numbers the list like in Word or Notes or something. I definitely don't want that but I can't find ANYWHERE how to disable it and write my own text with my own numbers without auto-formatting. How do I?

Can anyone confirm that Adobe applications that feature I.A. Do require local processing (CPU/NPU)? (and not only GPU). I'm looking forward to understanding what is the impact of using NPU based Processor.Is there any benchmark database or even a benchmark that I could run in both platforms to help me to understand these possible gains?Besides Generative AI, are there other use cases where workloads have shifted from execution on the CPU to execution on the NPU (even partially)? I am a CC subscriber who still uses Br and Ps CS6 together with Br and Ps 2025 on the same Windows 10 computer.  It's important that I maintain access to certain Br/Ps CS6 plugins/extensions that are no longer available (or do not work) with later versons. Both Ps/Br CS6 and Ps/Br CC (various versions) coexisted without problems until recent versions have broken things.  Br CS6 now insists on running Bridge plugins/extension/scripts (such as the image processor) with Ps 2025. If Ps CS6 is open nothing will run. As soon as I uninstall Ps 2025 everything will work again properly. I noted that Ps 2025 preconfigures itself as the default app for many plugin file extensions that were undefined with CS6 (eg: .8ba, .8Be, .8bf, .8bi, .8Li, .8bx, .8ME and others). I hoped that deleting these file associations in the Registry would fix things (in [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT] and [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\]) but that did not work.&nb

Hi, I'm using PS 24.5.0 on a M1 Mac.Everytime I like to save an image (Ctrl + S) I get this error. The image will be saved, but I get this every time. I'm not shure, maybe since I installed the beta of PS. Now the beta is uninstalled. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks, Stefan

Hola, tengo un problema con los cuadros de texto de Photoshop al crear un cuadro de texto lo coloca fuera del cuadro lo pone en la parte de arriba, y el cursor se hizo grande por lo que no puedo seleccionar textos en especifico. Y si creo un texto normal no puedo modificar el interlineado, ¿alquien podría ayudarme con una solucion, por favor? Gracias

Hi All,I am currently in the market for a new display calibration device because I upgraded to the new macbook pro, which has the new screen technology.  In terms of Calibrite, the options are display pro and plus HL.  The difference according to calibrite is the ability to 'calibrate HDR content'.  Apparently this is a technololgy that is 'evolving'.  I don't really understand why you would need to specifically calibrate for HDR content.  Does anyone out there have any information or advice about that? I'm pretty tired of having to dish out money on these things.  Thanks! Mac OS 13.6LR 12.5PS 24.7.0Macbook Pro M2 Max

Wenn ich eine im Photoshop (Version 25.12.2) erstelte Bilddateien mit der Ki bearbeitet habe und diese Datei an eineb andern Mac weiterleite, kann diese Datei dort nicht geöffnet werden, das keine Zugriffstechte bestehen.Wie kann ich das ändern? Zur Info:Der Mac ist ein Mac Pro  3,7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5 Monterey 12.7.6. DAnke für eüre Hilfe das problem zu lösen 

Hi everyone,I'm quite expert in Photoshop but having a weird issue for the first time since a few days...FYI: I'm working on a MAC, on the last version of Photoshop.Everytime I use the brush on the mask, first problem is it only works with some trasparency instead of plain colour(I already checked the opacity of the layer and on the top bar menu), so for example when I use black to erase the part of interest it's not erasing fully due to the transparency. The second issue, still while using the brush in the mask,  is that when I click every single click it's switching from white to black to white and so on. In the left instrument menu the colors ar not switching (black stays as foreground and white as background). Both these problems happen also when I use the brush on a normal layer (and not on the mask). I'm sorry I hope I was clear enough, I am attaching a video to help you better understand what I mean.
