If anyone is interested, I have written a script that will save open documents as PSB files to a folder location of your choosing. It runs as a batch script meaning it will run on all open PS documents. It also names the file based on the name of the active layer selected when you run the script. Handy for those who Load Files as Photoshop Layers out of Bridge and then want to use a layer name as the main file name. Im trying to add a circular sp button to my Photoshop plug in and I just can get this thing to work with vanilla js, css and html. At best I got an ellipse. How do I do this?  Right after upgrading (automatically) to Photoshop 2025, white has turned into a  dizzy blue and colors in the app are completely wrong. Saving works and the end file is correct. But it's impossible to work in this workspace.  Really appreciate any support for fixing this. 

How do I revert to a prior version? This one is AWFUL!!! It crashes (6 times in a row now) every time I try to import pieces to put them together in a new document. It is unuseable right now. I am VERY unhappy. In 26+ years as a PS user, I have never experienced such a bad update.

After updating everything today. I opened Photoshop and all I get is a blank gray, empty window. EVERYTHING IS GONE. And all I did was click on Update in the CC App. This junk is getitng really sickening. EVERY [removed by moderator] TIME I UPDATE IT EVERYTHING IS SCREWED UP BIG TIME...    What can I do to fix it? I'm not talking about resetting the [removed by moderator] preferences or any of that [removed by moderator]. I need to know a ONE CLICK SOLUTION TO FIX WHAT ADOBE SCREWED UP.    Thankfully Photoshop BEATA opened correctly and I was able to make a screenshot of what Photoshop looks like when I open it now that adobe has "Updated" it... 

Hi, Whenever I export a file, it always want to export to the last folder that I exported to, and not into the folder that the psd-file is already in. This is annoying and pretty time consuming to find the right folder every time. Is the an export setting that can help me, or is it just the way it works?I see the same problem in indesign, after effects and illustrator too.

the whole message says " Could not save (file) because the file is locked, you do not have the necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file.  Use the "Properties" command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file.   I have Windows 10 so have looked in the properties command of File Explorer and there is no way to unlock a file.  I have also looked at the previous forums and have had no success.  I was thinking Google Drive might have something to do with this.    I'm thinking the only thing to do is to uninstall PS and reinstall (which I don't know how to do).  Unless anyone else has a bright idea.   Thanks a lot. 

Hi,I have taken e.g. 500 photos for photogrammetry and have processed them all in camera raw, making all the same appearance, adjusting exposure etc, then applied denoise, and waited 2 hours whilst it does that, then cannot open them all as after a while max number allowed open into pshop latest 26.5 is reached.Nvidia 3070 card, 64Gb DDR4 corsair vengeance pro ram on Mbd.is the limit a photoshop thing ?How does one extend that limit ?CheersMerlin

When I select LAYER > NEW FILL LAYER > (and select a color other than black) = The fill is always BLACK.  I have restarted, I have updated Photoshop, I am working in an RGB color profile and I started with a brand new file, simple white background and new later... Same results.  Once it fills BLACK it gives me the color picker to select a color, but what is the point of picking a color within NEW FILL LAYER ?  I do see the yellow color I selected next to black box but what am I doing wrong here?  I feel like I used to be able to fill with Gray but no longer.  Please help. Thank you

Hi. When editing even simple PSDs, the program interface slows down a lot. For example, I want to edit the text and the reaction is quite long. It takes a couple of seconds for the text editing elements to appear. How can I fix this?At the same time, PC resources are free, and the document is no more than 300mb.PS 26.5.0i7 4771 / RX 580 8gb / DDR3 24GB / SSD Sata 3 / Windows 10 / The efficiency is 100% (in PS)

I cannot find the Legacy Gradients.  I'm using: Adobe Photoshop Version: 21.2.1 20200716.r.265 2020/07/16: 2b9692040b x64   I see guidance on this site to use a drop down menu in the Gradient Editor and search for either a Special Effects folder or the Legacy Gradients folder.  I can't see either folder.  In fact, I can't see the little bars icon that bring up the drop down menu.  I do have a settings icon that does brings up the menu in this post.  Help!  Thx.

After I installed the new version 26.5.0 of Photoshop 2025 on my MacBook Pro w/M3 Pro running on Sequoia 15.3.2, the Generative Expand functionality stopped working.  Instead of generating perfectly matching expanding content as it did before, the image disappears from the screen and the 3 proposed expansions show content that is totally unrelated to my picture.  Has anyone else encoutered this issue, and is there a fix?  Thank you in advance for your help.

Is there any reason why 32bit currently does not support all photoshop functionality after all these years of it being around?

I am having a problem that I can't find a solution to.  Here are the relevant pieces: I have a wide-angle image of star trails, shot at 13mm so there is distortion.I need to use a radial blur on the image.In order for the radial blur to work as expected, I must:Remove the wide-angle distortion using adaptive wide angle, so that the star trails become circular;and align the center of rotation (just to the northeast of polaris) with the center of the document canvas.However I then want to 're-distort' or undo the distortion correction on the final image.  In order to be able to undo the distortion correction, it needs to be a smart object/filter. However when I adjust the cropping so that the image is centered on the canvas, the distortion correction updates based on the canvas, rather than the image.  My questions:Is it possible to have the distortion correction reference the image/layer rather than the entire document? I am currently considering buying an iPad to create my sketches into digital art. What do people recommend?

When I open the Photoshop program it says "Your device doesn't meet the minimum system requirements for Photoshop on the Web or you may be in a private browser or incognito browsing mode. Performance may be negatively impacted." I am able to use the tools but I still get that message. Could it be a RAM requirement? Could it mean that because of the free trial period I have a limited use of my browser? I am using this program for print files rather than for the web.Help would be appreciated.

Help please, all my most commonly use styles keep disappearing. I have quite a few style presets that I purchased and use often. I spent lots of time organizing and relabeling the ones I use most. I have imported them numerous times because they are gone when I open Photoshop the next day! This has happened to me on another system as well - so I do think its a problem with PS or in my settings. Continuously having to reimport is a PIA and time consuming! Is this a tecnical issue or bug in PS?

Hi collective, I've been pulling my hair out the last week with photoshop refusing to work for me on certain tools and I've tried everything I can think of to remedy it. I'm extremely fortunate that the tools are more graphic design based, so I havent needed to use them in a very long time, so this issue might have been more long-lived than I'm aware of. In short, whenever I use any of the shape tools (Rectangle, Line, Triangle etc) or the frame tool, photoshop hangs up on me in the middle of creating them, and although TECHNICALLY does make the shape desired, I get the spinny wheel of death forever until I remove it again. Photoshop isnt crashing completely, or totally frozen, just extremely lagged to the point of being unuseable.Screenshot to demonstrate the frozen state, first prior to any issues, and then once hung up:I can see that resource usage increases, but far from the maximum possible for the system. My system rundown really quick.- MSI z790 A Max Wifi mo

Hi Adobe Comminity,  I'm really struggling with something and wondered if anyone knows wehats going on. I'm a wedding stationer and paint out my designs which I then photograph and edit in photoshop. Recently my photoshop has been overlaying these crazy neon colours on top of my images. I've tried changing colour settings, updating and restoring my photoshop back to factory settings, re-photographing the images and creating new files....nothing seems to work! Can anyone guess as to what is going on? Thanks!

Sorry I 'yelled' in the post subject, but MAN this is frustrating. I DO understand that the .PSD file format is proprietary, totally get it. BUT - do you understand how frutrating it is for those of us who save revisions of documents for clients to not be able to SEE what's in them? What's even MORE frustrating is that in the Edit | Preference | File Handling dialog, there is an OPTION TO DO THIS! Doing a bit of research it also says to make sure your Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility is set to Always. Both of the above listed ooptions have ALWAYS been set to Always. So, why doesn't it show the thumbnail in WIndows Explorer? I tried a few of the thumbnail handlers like SageThumbs and a couple/few others, and all they did was make a mess of things, if they worked at all. PLEASE Adobe - keep your proprietary file format, that's cool - but at LEAST let Windows show the dang thumbnail already! C'mon!

Hi   In Photoshop I was able to select and delete the Stock Character Dr. Applesmith's left hand with the mouse and then select his right hand and copy it so that I could make a left hand that had no mouse.   I just can't get the hand itself to flip horizontal, because when I flip horizontal, the whole character flips, even though I have the hand selected.   Also, I want to get rid of his coat and selected the coat layer, but only the central part of the coat will delete - what am I missing in terms of actions?   And how do I get other 3-D characters like Dr. Applesmith - Adobe Stock?   I'm trying to modify Dr. Applesmith for use in Character Animator.     Thank you!
