Photoshop

I no longer see the search/filter function at the top of the Layers Panel in Photoshop 26.5.0.I'm running on a Mac mini M4 Pro with macOS Sequoia 15.4.Is there a configuration setting someplace that needs to be toggled to get that feature back?

My Photoshop CS5.1 non-Creative Cloud “purchased product” that has been running flawlessly on my 6-year-old Dell Inspiron computer suddenly, and without invitation, turned into an upgraded 30-day trial version.  It has since expired and with every attempt to reload it from my disk, it will not run.  I have even downloaded the program from my Adobe account with the same results.  A pop-up request to enter my serial number is all I get when I try to run it.  My original serial number does not work for the 30-day version; only my CD version.So, here’s the history:  This happened about 6 weeks ago (July 2024) I did all the usual things that tech support suggested but nothing worked.  In the process of using their CC clean up tool, multiple times, I managed to also uninstall Photoshop Premier Elements and now can’t get that to work properly either.  (When the purple editor screen loads it immediately closes then nothing happens).  I have also totally

I just recently bought a Lenovo Ideapad computer that has Windows 11 on it.  In 2013, I bought the student's version of Adobe CS6, and I tried to install it on my new computer.  However, when I did, I got all sorst of trouble!  It said that there was a driver I didn't have that I needed, and in the end, I had to restart my computer from scratch.  I never did download it at all.  Is there a way to do that, and how?  If not, why, and can I get any Adobe product like it?  I have a lot of brushes and fonts I used with my CS6 that I would like to continue to use in a new program.  HELP!!

I just switched over Photoshop CC from PS5 and I am encountering an issue that was not happening before. The smart objects are being saved with extra numbers on the end of the name. I found another thread that explained why, but I can't figure out how to change it. I am able to change the name in the layers panel, but when I open up the embedded file, the name has the additional numbers on it. How do I change the embedded file name?

I want to execute a script after an image size change, is there such an event?What is its name and how do I add it?Thank you!

I use fonts with glyphs and suddenly the glyphs are stuck on and won't turn off. So there are glyphs on each letter that I use on a font that has glyphs. I've tried everything I can find as a fix and see that others have the same problem. Please can you work on a fix? This is really annoying. Thank you. : )

i have been struggling with this problem for over 2 hours, I'm trying to upload a video into photoshop and it wont let me. everytime I try it turns into a picture, and when I try to zoom it in it tells me to convert it into a smart object. meanwhile, the dynamiclinkmediaserver application is bouncing up and down in my dock trying to open. it then stops and I check for more info and it says "application not responding" I updated the photoshop to the new update, I don't know if it was that caused it, but I downgraded and still doesn't work. I've reinstalled, restarted my mac, etc. i don't know what to do at this point, HELPP!!app ver.26.4.1Macbook Air M1 2020 

Hey guys I have a wavy line sky which I'm struggling to tidy up.I've tried various blur techniques but nothing seems to work.I no longer have the raw file (so I can't reprocess).I'm happy to loose detail as its just the sky.Any advice, tutorial links, additional software suggestions would be great...Thanks in advance : )Paul

Hi, is there a good prompt for photoshop AI to create a nice background with some white soft gradient behind the subject? I have attached an example what I want and one example the best I can achieve now. Im not an expert in Photoshop so looking for easy ways how to achieve the same background as show in the example attached. Who can explain me a bit how to do? I use Photoshop, latest version on MacOS

I have a strange bug in Photoshop on MacOS. The brush tip that shows the brush size outline disappears when I move the mouse. It is not related to the CAPS LOCK function of showing or hiding it or any setting in Preferences. I have a visible brush outline when I choose a brush or change its size, but it disappears when I start moving the mouse. And it starts from nothing, because no setting was changed by me, just one day started Photoshop and it started to behave like this. 

If you're a nvidia gsync user and experiencing mouse stuttering in Ps (and all Adobe apps), try turning off gsync to see if that resolves the issue. Basically what happens is that any activity in an Adobe app will result in 2-3 seconds of micro-cursor stuttering (looks like frame rate dropping) and the occasional 3-4 seconds of cursor freeze. Disabling gsync fixes the issue. This behavior appears only in Adobe apps and none other.     {Thread title edited by moderator}

Everytime i run camera raw filter i get the error "GPU Acceleration Required". The GPU is supported, ive tried turning off the GPU options and turning them back on. Ive gone into the files and tried deleting the settings folder and the GPU folder, there was no GPU folder in there to begin with so im not sure if thats part of the issue, and with the deleting of the settings folder nothing changed. Ive also tried going onto multiple different photos to see if it was a bug with the one however its a universal problem across the whole app. Ive tried opening .CR2 (raw) files too which always directly open only in CameraRaw filter and to which it game the same message. This feature was working fine literally 2 or 3 days ago and all of a sudden its bugging out and not letting me use it. Hey there,I put a new Mainboard, CPU and PSU into my PC and upgraded to Win11, unfortunately I can't use my CS6 Design and Web Premium anymore as the software thinks the Serial is in use on another PC. Is there a way to reset or deactivate the installations? I only have the options to repeat the activation or to enter another Serial, I can't deactivate them myself.

Photoshop 24.0.0 Windows 11 Pro 22H2 build 22621.675   After running Windows HDR Calibration which is reccomended in the display settings   It will save a profile and use it, for some peers it helped their displays greatly.   Photoshop is now displaying UI colors incorrectly.        The color white appears green in most cases, amoung other colors.    The actual image displays correctly after the profile is set. But the rest is broken. these are my settings.   If turning off HDR, and rebooting photoshop with the same settings fixes it. But for my own ease of use I keep HDR "on" on my PC for various reasons. Considering this is native functionality with windows at this point, it really needs to be fixed.   

I am exporting stills from After Effects via Composition/Save Frame As/File. This allows me to render the frame in Photoshop format. If there is transparancy in the still it works correctly in Premiere Pro; however, if I open the file in Photoshop it shows as a flattened file with a black background. If I export from After Effects as Photoshop layers it open in Photoshop as a mix of transparent and black layers.

Hi! Suddenly MagicPicker plugin extension is launching as a blank panel in my Photoshop. It should look kinda like this (when I launch it from Window/Extensions):But it looks like this:It started yesterday, before that it was working with no problems. Do you have any ideas what could have changed? I tried updating, restarting, cleaning - nothing helps!

I created a panorama of several photos that are 61 megapixels each. Then I tried to edit the composite with Camera Raw (using the CR plugin from within Photoshop). The following error message appears: The image size exceeds the maximum of 536.9MP or 65000 pixels on the long side supported by Camera Raw. Ok, so I decide to crop the image a bit. Now the resolution is 27961 by 16251 pixels. According to my calculations that should equate to about 454 megapixels. Yet, Camera Raw keeps showing the same message. I have save the cropped version as a new file, restarted Photoshop, even tried in the beta version of Photoshop, but it doesn't matter. Camera Raw still thinks the image is too big, even though it isn't. Any idea what could be the issue? I guess I can cut up the image in several parts and copy the smart edits, but I would prefer not to, especially since I believe the image should fall within the required parameters. Oh, and I'm on the latest versions of both

I was playing with my grandson in Photoshop & he made a wild swipe with the wacom pen & moved the tool box. Thing is, I can't seem to move it back! There doesn't seem to be a single spare pixel at the top which I can pick-up to move it. But he managed it without even trying! 🤣 (No, I haven't saved my workspace, sadly.) The palette I use looks like this:

I am creating an ad for a magazine and they asked for it to be in CMYK. I understand that of course.  But they said it should be in the Color Profile Isocoated V52... however I do not see this in my list of options.How do I change the Color Profile to match this?Cheers in advance,Kenn.

dear Adobe Community,this is so frustrating, i reinstalled my system on windows 11 and installed also adobe cloud of course, i get the error the whole time, my internet connection is without problems, my AV is switched off temporarily, also my timezone is correct and it still doesnt work.this is since 2 days and nothing helps.does anyone have any ideas?thx

Hello, I just updated my mac from to Sonoma to Sequoia, and when closing an unsaved document in Ps I can't hit CMD+Backspace for "Don't Save" like I used to. In other apps the (mac standard) shortcut still works, but it doesn't in Photoshop 2025. I have been doing this for ages and it's really slow/annoying to have to move the mouse instead of just using the keyboard. Is there some setting I'm missing? PS: I'm aware of the systemwide setting that allows to navigate dialog buttons using "Tab", but it doesn't quite cut it for me, as I prefer having a specific shortcut that I can quickly hit with muscle memory. Thanks for any help!

I just installed newest update of PS on my Mac. The app will not open, much less open an image. I have uninstalle nd restarted. Nothing. Suggestions please?.....

My computer crashed while I was working on a document and now all the layer combined into one multi coloured pixilated mess. Usually it pulls up a recovered version when this happens. I have auto recovery turned on but for some reason it didnt save any files this time. And I cant find a way to convert it back to normal, ive tried online converters and some recomended from Adobe. Please help me!!
