Photoshop

I am trying figure out how work rotation shortcut on Mac, i saw many tutorials,..and everybody say hold option and shift and then < or > ,..but nothing hapend. I had right now screen sharing with Adobe and wanted see if they will able fix it. Nothing,.restart preferences etc,.nothing hapend. I saw somebody said,.if you have spanish keyboard,.then no < > ,but A and S is for rotation. Well,.i have slovak kyeboard and i tried click everything :))) nothing ,...

Hi!I have an image sequence with 600 png file where I want to optimize each png to decrease their filesizes. Thought I could use automation and run a function macro (their called so in the swedish version think they are called actions in english). The optimization I want to use is in the "export for web" dialogue to change from png24 to png8. It works fine when I do it manually.Then I record the macro (action) doing the export for web routine and run it with a group automation from one folder whith the original files into a new empty folder. But then I get the save as dialouge for each and every image. Not fun having to do this 600 times.  I have tried with the "ignore save as" option on/off in the settings for the automation but it doesn´t help. Also tried the image process script but it wont do png files. Sigh...What am I doing wrong here? Thanks in advance for any input regarding this!

Hi all,I recently encoutered an odd problem where pure blacks have some kind of noise/grain in photoshop. The problem does not appear in illustrator, or on web generated pure black, so I do not think it has to do with my screen.It appears in different files with different color modes as well, however if I switch devices and open the same file it does not appear.I am running macOS Monterey 12.7.5 on a 2013 Mac Pro. Attached is a sample of pure black, next to a gradient so you can see where on the spectrum the effect occurs.Also attached is the colorsettings. The issue was not fixed by changing to srgb, everything else is default. 

Is this possible.  I try to follow the help direction for editing typ but I can't select the type.  When I go to the type tool and then to where I want to change the type, it instead puts what looks like script Lorem Ipsum. I don't remember how I created the png, and I have a PSD with the right type I could replace it with but in help it doesn't give a choice to do so.  Seems like this should all be so simple.  Unbelievable how useless the help is.  I search for creat png, and nothing relevant so then just png.  and stell get a whole list of generalized things to spend hours reading it seems.

Trying to paste text from word into  PS26.3.0  on a circular path. The text tool won't change to a I and makes a new text layer instead, no matter how long you hover. Text pastes ok without pasting onto a path. I have a problem. When I zoom in too much in Photoshop, so-called "artifacts" appear. Disabling the graphics processor helped, but without it, Photoshop lags a lot

Nikon Z50 NEF files will not open in either Photoshop or Lightroom - and I've downloaded latest raw update.  I can drop them into Photo Mechanic and I can see both the JPEG and NEF files.  I also have a Nikon Z6, and those NEF files can open up in Photoshop directly. 

In Photoshop 26.3, when you work on a file, it automatically saves the file to the cloud. This setting is undesirable. Apparently it cannot be turned off. Yes at the end of the job I can save my work locally, but how do I prevent the continuous saving to the cloud. There are many photos and content for which it is inappropriate for it to leave my computer. This feature should be strictly optional. For the first time in 20 years of use I am thinking of leaving Adobe Photoshop. Or if I'm wrong and would really like. Tell me how to turn off the continuous cloud storage feature.

Hi!Silver Fx and other plugins from DXO Labs does not work anymore after the latest update of PS (20250108).Both PS and the plugin stops working. I am on an iMac 2019, 32 ram  with latest Mac OS.Anybody else have the same problem? 

Hello, I should start off by saying that all my color settings on my monitor, laptop, and photoshop are all set to the exact same sRGB profile. For some reason, when I go to export an image as a .png, the colors get shifted DRAMATICALLY and I have been searching for hours with no answer.Can someone please offer some advice/help? See attached screenshots for reference.

Hi. In vanishing point all I want to do is render a grid in photoshop so I can manually adjust the file I have in place. I can't becuase it's greyed out and will not let me for some reason. I get the blue grid but will not render to my layers. Anyone have any thoughts?

I want to make a gif from psd layers. I have loaded files as stack, selected 'make frame animation' in the timeline panel, selected all my layers, but the dropdown on the roight is no longer the same and does not have 'make frames from layers'. I have tried in ps 25 an beta? Any ideas as to why? 

During the beta period, generative fill and generative expand was an amazing feature.  It allowed us to add believable, high-resolution objects to photos, to fill large areas with imagery that convincingly expanded the image, and to create high quality imagery that looked harmonious with the rest of the photo.   Now in the main release, the generative fill feature works only at very low resolution (1024 pixels per generation) and the results look very unconvincing and very "AI-like" unless they are only trying to be a generic texture.  Something as simple as adding a tree to a photo that looks like other trees already in the photo is now nearly impossible to do in a way that looks any good. It seems generative fill is now more or less only usable as a slightly more advanced form of content-aware fill for small areas that need patching, which is not at all how the feature was originally demonstrated or how it is advertised Photoshop users work with ima

Hello,    I'm on MacOS 15.1.1 (24B91) using Version 26.3.0   As soon as I try generating anything on photoshop (Generative Fill / Generative Expand) I have this message, basically saying "To access Firefly's fonctionnalities in Adobe softwares, you need to have authentic Adobe apps" but I actually have a Uni license so I guess its authentic.    Anyone in the same situation ? Any ideas of how to solve this ?    I've already tried to uninstall / re install creative cloud as well as Photoshop.

I'm currently creating 2D animation in Photoshop, and have been using the Timeline feature to check how to animation is working. Typically, I use the Frame Animation function. Once I'm happy with how everything looks, I delete the animation and go back to the layers to paint each frame.  Unfortunately, I can now only see the first layer, as if the Timeline is still stuck on the first frame. In other words, even though I can see that all the layers are present, when I show/hide them, it's like these layers are empty.  I've had this happen before. It's like the layerd .psd file gets stuck in animation mode and won't convert back to a simple, layered document.  Any thoughts? And, yes, I know that there's better animation software out there. I have an unusual workflow but it (mostly) works for me.  

My Macintosh Hard Drive on my Mac Mini M1 running Ventura 13.3.1 (a) is getting full and I'm getting "Scratch Disk Full" and "Out of Application Memory" messages. So I need to re-install all my Adobe CC applications on and External Hard Drive. I followed instructions online saying to simply drag Photoshop 2024 from the Applications folder to the External Hard Drive; then I uninstalled Photoshop from the Appications folder. But when I launched Photoshop from the External Hard Drive I got this error message:Some of the Photoshop components are missing from the Application directory. Reinstall Photoshop. Any advice?
