Since about version 26, the behaviour for using a graphics tablet has changed. It used to be that you could still erase using the back of the pen regardless of whatever tool you were using. Since version 26 and continuing to this day if you have the select tool enabled you are unable to erase. Using the back of the pen just draws selection boxes as if you were using the front tip.Is this a deliberate change – in which case where can I turn it off – or is it a bug?
I’m trying to select small areas and I feel like I don’t really know which part of the magic wand tool is the action bit. It has a rounded tip, so I’m guessing it would be the tip of the tip. I have to estimate where that is visually.. it’s a bit harder on a rounded tip compared to an arrow. But then, is it the black line of the tool? Or is it the tip of the white outline around the black tool? Or would it be one pixel just OUTSIDE of the white outline? But there’s also three stars floating around it. By doing some testing, I’m fairly certain that the stars aren’t the sensitive part of the tool. It seems to be closer to the wand portion. It would be great if this tool had a more intuitive, less ambiguous design. Which exact pixel is the action bit?
Hi all, Without seeking to portray myself as an idiot, I would ask that someone, if possible, would try to explain a possible course of action as simply as possible, as I am not the most technically-minded in relation to computers and software. I know enough to get by unless there are problems. So, for weeks now, I have had issues whereby I would be able to open a few RAW files on Photoshop 2026, and edit them, only for this to then stop working without warning, opening as a background process but not such that I can do anything. I uninstalled the program and downloaded it from Creative Cloud, and that fix seemed to work for a while, but now I have hit an issue whereby any attempt to open the app, either by selecting it to open a file in or just opening it directly first, generates an error report, and the app is unable to open.I've twice handed over control of my laptop to Adobe customer service staff, and I do trust their integrity not to take advantage of this act of trust, but I
I would like to have the option that the window-frame in which my image is opened is resized according to the monitor -or- stays at the resized size. See attached image Left = current behavior, requested behavior on the Right. What would be helpful if the last used size gets remembered because now I have to resize my window for every newly opened image.(I know this exists when using the app in Application-frame-mode but that option has disadvantages in my perspective because I can't see through to any app in the background to click on that to switch apps or go to the Finder in an instant).
Hello Adobe Photoshop Team,I would like to suggest a feature that would greatly improve layout flexibility and workflow efficiency in Photoshop — a toggleable pasteboard (workspace) outside the canvas.Currently, Photoshop is strictly canvas-based, which makes it difficult to temporarily store or position elements outside the visible design area. In page-layout applications like Microsoft Publisher and Adobe InDesign, users can place objects in a surrounding workspace (pasteboard) outside the page. This makes arranging assets, testing variations, and managing complex compositions much easier.Suggested feature:A simple toggle option (e.g., View → Show Pasteboard) that enables a visible, usable workspace surrounding the canvas where objects can be placed freely without expanding the canvas size.Benefits: Faster layout experimentation and asset management Cleaner canvas without needing oversized documents More intuitive workflow for designers working across Adobe apps Better support
While I don't really use the 3D tools in PS, the Lighting Effects is very useful and important to me. I use this to create a light on my subjects in portraits. I really hope that this tool would not be removed from future PS.
I’m using bracketed images (architectural photography) - one on top of the other in the form of layers > generate layer mask > in order to reveal detail from the image underneath I have always used a radial gradient to start slowing working in detail through that layer mask. All of a sudden, it has glitched and if I move that radial gradient around it actually starts stacking and the opacity control no longer have an effect (it is from black to transparent)
hey all, I'm after a downloadable link for my Adobe creative suite 6 master collection; i have the product key however my computer doesn't have a CD thingy. Thank you
The “select people” is great, it’s amazing, because you can automate the selection of clothes, shoes, accessories and things like that… However, it only works if PS finds a face first…Sometimes, users need to use that tool but the photo is cropped and not showing a face, so it won’t detect any face, therefore not showing those options, “but they’re there”…People consider allowing us to select those things even if Photoshop didn’t detect a face first
I am noticing lately that many posts/threads that I follow on the Adobe Community website (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator ecosystems) have been removed. When I click on a link from Google or from an email I’ve received from Adobe regarding a new post to a topic I follow, it just sends me to this Welcome page (https://community.adobe.com/community#M131238) and there is no way to access the thread. Why is Adobe removing community posts, isn’t the purpose of this site to help and get help from other users? This thread in general is one that I am following, as it is a recent Ps bug that has not yet been fixed, and the link just goes to the welcome page: https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcommunity.adobe.com%2Ft5%2Fphotoshop-ecosystem-bugs%2Fp-ps-27-1-launch-error-could-not-apply-the-saved-panel-configuration-resetting-to-default%2Fidc-p%2F15662958%23M131238&data=05%7C02%7CTLANGSTON%40BJMWEB.COM%7Cdaa3bf90065544cbdfc708de5372224f%7Cda061965b74247039a5df3
In full screen mode > and when image is fit to screen > and you go to crop the image. If you drag the crop tool a little bit too far, the image flies off screen, out of sight, in the opposite direction. same with the selection tool. If you drag any tool a little bit off screen it pushes the image off screen in the opposite direction. This has always been driving me crazy. In earlier versions of photoshop (1990s) the image did not go off screen. Is there a way to lock the image position or prevent photoshop from being able to send it out of sight?
Hello, I just downloaded Adobe Photoshop 2021, was working on a photo, successfully, and now I don’t know how to save my file or how to give it a new name. Can anybody help?
Want to remove the green leaf by stamping. But instead of precise stamping it’s creating some pattern.
Hi everyone, I have 100 of my 100 monthly credits, unused as shown in the image, but if I use an AI Noise Reduction feature, Photoshop says "Free Generations Used."If I use Camera Raw, it works perfectly. How is this possible?
I haven't used PS much the past couple of years. But I was trying to re-edit an old star stack. When I go to Merge Visible or Flatten Image, it makes the image foggy and brighter. I don't think I am doing anything wrong as I have done this many times in the past, but maybe there have been changes I haven't been aware of or maybe it's my MacBook Pro M1Silicone 26.3 I uninstalled and reinstalled, and same deal. DO I need an older version or did Adobe break something in their code? Even Command/Option/Shift/E didn’t work. Any help would be nice as It won’t save (it’s stuck at 98%).
That's right, I'm incredibly frustrated with this issue. Especially the Javascript was missing error. I've tried remote support, and after initially fixing it, it worked, then a few moments later, the same thing happened again. I've tried everything—removing Malwarebytes, reinstalling Windows, reinstalling PS, and reinstalling Creative Cloud. Everything has failed, and it's seriously disrupting my work. I've been a long-time subscriber to this Adobe product, but this software is frustrating. I'll consider discontinuing the service if I don't find a solution.
As i said when I try to use the Alt key it brings up my menu’s for Microsoft how do I get the clone stamp to work with out using the Alt key.
I am running Windows 11 on a Microsoft Surface Pro 11, which runs on the Qualcomm chip and I assume all the Creative Cloud apps are running in emulation mode. Thanks for your help!
I noticed, that when I use a camera raw filter with masks on a smart object, the masks in this filter move when the document is cropped in photoshop. 1. Version of the app Adobe Photoshop Version: 23.5.0 20220809.r.669 0e07917 arm64 2. Platform an OS version OS: Mac OS 12.4.0 Architecture: Apple M1 Max, HybridCPU(8:2) 3. Basic steps to reproduce the problem create document with object add camera raw filter to the smart object add masks ins camera raw leave camera raw use crop tool to enlarge image edit camera raw filter masks should have moved. 4. Expected result and actual result Results can be seen in the images below. I would expect the filters to stay where I placed them The first two images show the initial image without cropping. As you see the skymask in the second image ends exactly at the tees The second two images show the document after cropping. The image is extended towards the sky to reveal m
When I try to unmask on the mask layer using a white brush, nothing happens. However, masking with a black brush works perfectly. I am using PS on Ipad Pro 2020
Add New Adjustment Layer Shadow and Hightlight Adjustment Layer Feature in Photoshop
I've been stuck in this for a while and have searched the internet for the solution. I have seen a few solutions but none of them have really helped me. So here's my problem: Our client provides me the content of his project for design in hindi (He used google translater to type / Google Inputs) So suppose this is my word I want on photoshop-> कार्यक्रमI open the text box and paste this word there, and PS automatically selects the hindi font and everything. but the word pasted is like this->However if I right-click on the word: & see in layers panel, It shows the word that I originally pasted but for some reason it can't show that! But If now I select that word from Photoshop & copied it and paste it on internet(e.g. Facebook ), It gives me the way I want! (Means proper text). That means that photoshop is understanding the word but can't show it the way i want. Please give me the solution for it.Thanks a lot in advance...
I used the ‘select subject’ a lot, but today Photoshop keeps insisting there is no clear subject to select in this image. I’m using a Mac. Any ideas why this doesn’t work?
Strange text problem happening in Photoshop CC. Some old text keeps popping up in different image files when I go to edit them. For example, I went to recolor the shirt this woman wore, and this phantom text comes up in several places in my image. It's my text from a file I don't have open anymore. I only have it on that file in one place, but when it shows up like this it is repeated several times on several lines. I can't get rid of it. It won't erase or allow me to select it on any layer. It seems to happen when I go to select a specific area in an image. It happens with any selection tool like the quick selection tool, the magic wand and the magnetic lasso. Is it a bug? Is it something I'm doing? What is happening and how do I stop it? It happened in this furniture store image, too. Please help - I can't get anything done this way. I'm on Windows 10.
