In the new Photoshop CC 2020 version, there's a bug with layer effects in groups. They seem to clip other layer effects within the group in a rectangular shape.To reproduce:- Create a new document- Create a circular shape as a new layer- Apply a stroke layer effect to the shape layer- Put that shape layer in a group- Apply a drop shadow layer effect to the group (play around with the distance value to make the effect more obvious)Result: the layer effects are cropped in a rectangular shapeI tested it in Photoshop CC 2019, it works fine there.

Hi I am on a Mac Mojave, using Photoshop 2019 (20.0.2)The auto layer select is disabled within any marquee selection. If I place the marquee to only include part of the image then the layer portion within the marquee will NOT auto layer select. I have tested this using the move tool using command+click and the auto-select layer check box. Drop down IS set to layer. The tool behaves normally when there is no active marquee selection and also breaks with the lasso selection.  

Currently, I have 30 some styles folders on my Styles palette. I like to keep all of these folders expanded so that I can quickly scroll through them and select the styles which are located in each of these folders. However, since updating to Photoshop 21.01 or 21.0.2, whenever I launch Photoshop, all of these folders are collapsed, and I have to take the time to expand them all again using the disclosure triangle. Is there some setting which will allow me to always have these styles folders already expanded each time I launch Photoshop? Thanks in advance.

I have a problem with how filtr works. I read about this problem, but I can't analisys this and understand problem. Why when I use OpenCL Smart Sharpen nothinghappen on radius 0,1? For me this is important for resize photo and sharping them.

Photoshop 21.0.2 crashes on applying color lookup adjustment layer: Apply a color lookup adjustment layer to any image. In the color lookup properties, select Abstract. Chose any value from the dropdown Save the image as jpeg. Once you click on the JPEG options window, photoshop crashes. It also creates an image of 0 bytes size

I just followed this simple tutorial: Create animated GIFs |   After saving it as PSD and opening again, I noticed that Photoshop persisted all timeline details (loop count, frame timings, etc). But looking at the Adobe Photoshop File Formats Specification I could not find any details on where that data is stored.   I analyzed the file using a hex editor and noticed that Photoshop uses some ImageResource and some AditionalLayerInfo blocks that are not documented. I was playing around with the frame tool and found that there's a bug regarding the corner radius. If I change the corner radius of a live shape and click to select a frame layer, that updates its corner radius. Currently, there seems to be a maximum height allowance on panels. Meaning that I can't get my Layers palette to run 100% of the height of my 1440 tall display. I'd like to not have that restriction so I can use that whole height. It's not like that space below the panels is really usable in its current form. I guess I could just have more panels open to take up the space but that adds clutter and negatively impacts the effectiveness that a taller Layers palette could provide.

There is a new PS-option Preferences -> Performance -> Advanced Settings -> Use updated GPU canvas. If you read the tooltip it says "...preference flag for MantaCanvas must also be on...."I really can't find any information about that.Does anybody know what that means?

Crop tool no side handles-- The crop tool does not have the side handles when in Classic Mode. It worked before the update of Ver. 21. And yes I do have the box checked in Preferences "Use Legacy Free Transform".

In latest version 21.01, running on Mac Pro Mojave - converting shapes to frames work while file is open, but when file is re-opened, frames made by converting shapes disappear, leaving only blank frames with no image. Layer palette shows frames with placed images, but they are gone from the image itself. Very annoying bug, as it means layout files with custom shape frames can't be revised - they're corrupted the next time you open them. Has happened consistently

When recording an Action, we should be able to use Fit Layer(s) on Screen when using Insert Menu Item...

Hi! There are two annoying bugs in latest December release of PS2020. They were present in initial release, but in PS2019 these two options worked just fine. I hope Adobe folks will address these in next release.1. In Select and Mask workspace, the Photoshop does not register/remember "Sample All Layers" for quick selection, refine tools etc. Pretty annoying as I have to click each time I am entering this workspace to quick mask anything in the picture.2. When creating adjustment layer, PS2020 always adds mask layer too, regardless of Layer Panel options>Use default masks on fill layers, which is off in my Photoshop.Thanks, 

I just installed 21.0.2 and I'm having the same issue. To reproduce:1) start a new document.2) create a small ellipse in the center of the document.3) create a group and move the ellipse layer to the group.4) move the layer mask of the ellipse shape to the group (Cmd + Shift, then click drag the layer preview image onto the group)Result:The ellipse is now masking the group which contains a fill layer, however instead of the fill layer going to the edges of the canvas, it stops at the edges of the ellipse.Side note: Why does having the path operator set to Combine Shapes "punch out" the group? I would expect Subtract Front Shape to do that, but I get the opposite expected result. Also I noticed when playing around with the Fill layer left over from the ellipse that it sometimes won't even show up when moved around the layer stack.Switching to Legacy Compositing is still a workaround. But the path operators are still behaving in the opposite manner of what one would expect.Note: Thi

I really like the update for Photoshop 2020 but it has a few small issues.When using the hotkeys to zoom it no longer uses the smooth zoom animation and also doesn't center on the view correctly. This is especially apparent when using canvas rotation as now it often zooms into the grey outside the canvas.Suggestions:-Ability to set zoom increments for mouse wheel zoom-Ability to set the transformation reference point to a finer crosshair / different crosshair design

Photoshop 21.0.2 began crashing near the end of my workday today and I found this video here https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#restore_preferences and it said you would like to get the zipped copy of my corrupt Photoshop preferences file to take a look at.I've moved Adobe Photoshop 2020 Prefs.psp to my desktop and next time I opened Photoshop it printed fine, so I'll reset my preferences by hand. Why sync settings in PS CC 2015.1 was removed? I like this idea. Are technical problems with it?

In Adobe CC 2019 there is a generator plugin called crema (I believe is the new engine for save for web) which is causing an unknown Javascript Error and making Adobe Generator Engine Unstable, I have some plugins that use adobe generator engine to work and at some point this Unknown Javascript Error is making the engine crash.I would love some advice on this. Updated to the latest OSX Mojave, and now the first brush stroke after picking a color(Option hotkey pressed and released before painting) on the canvas is not working properly, it does a straight line as if Shift was held down.The problem was there before i updated to 20.0.1 and only had updated to Mojave Tested in Photoshop 18 and Autodesk sketchbook, no problem. Hope there is a fix for it soon.

After updating to CC 20.0.7 (and continuing in 21.0.1) the names of my Image Size presets are now all cutoff within the dropdown selection menu. Many get cut off in ways where important identifying information is not visible, and makes the presets useless.
