Scenario: Create set "Set1", then another set "Set2". Record different actions in both of sets but use the same name for the action "MyAction". When you run Application.batch command via code - Photoshop always run "MyAction" from the first set (Set1) regardles if code requested to pick action from Set2. In Documentation of PhotoShop JavaScript reference for Application.batch() it is written that it expects 4 arguments: batch(inputFiles, action, from [, options]). The "from" argument is set to "Set2" but script always run "MyAction" from the first available set having the action labeled as requested in action argument ("Set1" int that case). InputFiles and optional options are set properly and they works as expected, the only problem is the inability to control the parent set if batch is ran via code.Is this fixable?Thank you.
Another longstanding one, I think ...Transporting a mask to another layer is already bugged (confirmed), which I've reported earlier. Now let's say I want to copy a mask from the bottom layer, not by dragging it, but by Ctrl-clicking it and adding the mask to the target layer from this selection. When you Ctrl-click the bottom mask (a rectangle that was feathered 200px in Properties panel), and you make a mask with that for the target layer, PS respects the Feathering. If you record this same thing, the Feathering is *not* respected and results in a sharp rectangle. This also happens when using Select > Load Selection...Workaround: Ctrl-click the mask in the Channels palette *will* respect the Feather (or maybe Ctrl+\ if you have that available).Right-clicking the mask and 'Add Mask to Selection' also seems to record fine and respect Feather setting.I like/prefer that there is a way to respect the Feather setting (WYSIWYG) by Ctrl-clicking, but not that it doesn't record as such. No big
After I installed the 19.1 update, I can't go "tab" or use "f" to go to fullscreen mode without losing the right-click menu. Any brush outline that is using a Full Size Brush Tip will disappear as well, if it is over a certain size. I have to "tab" back to the mode where my panels are overlaying my image, and then I can see the right-click menu again. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks! Windows 7, btw.
Scratch disk full errors frequently happening when saving documents, trying to open from RAW and during random edits causing the program to shut down. The scratch disks have over 500 gigs available space. This is not a problem when I run PS 2018. Windows 10
In photoshop cc 2019 and older having a smart object layer selected in the layers panel and clicking on the document area with a tool like the Brush Tool would present a dialog saying the smart object needs to be rasterized and offering an Ok button to do so.In photoshop 2020 the same just presents a dialog saying the smart object is not directly editable and gives no explanation as to why or how to proceed. Is that an on purpose change in photoshop 2020?Photoshop CC 2019Photoshop 2020In one case, if a user wants to paint on the Smart Object of a Frame Layer in 2020 there is no easy way to rasterize said layer like was possible in photoshop cc 2019.
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2548795 When the Maintain Aspect Ratio box is unchecked, Free Transform should be non-proportional. However, in version 20 (Oct 2018 release) the aspect ratio remains locked whether or not the Maintain Aspect Ratio box is clicked. Only using the shift key (new behaviour) seems to work. Reported in Adobe Photoshop forums by Win 10 users.
Photoshop cc 2019: The Content-Aware/Fill routinely crashes every time I use it (using macOS Mojave); all Adobe Creative Cloud apps are up-to-date as well.
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2458817I read all topics about this problem and tried all solutions. Some helped but only in specific scenarios they are no options for me. There was not mentioned (at least for me) REAL cause of this error so I am creating new topic. I hope it is more helpful...All proposed default Ps workspaces have tools panels docked to left margin of screen. It is why they let you to open files in normal size. When you dock your Tools panel to right margin of screen all is okey too. Any panel, however docked or not to any other or margin does not make difference. All works still good. Problem occurs only when you undock your Tools panel from left/right margin of screen. If you move it few centimeters from left margin all is still fine, but always when you move it farer to right side of screen (and from up) an created/opened document will minimalize its size due to Tools panel distance from left screen margin. If additionally you dock your Tools panel to any other pa
When I attempt to add a stroke to text under blending I get the spinning color wheel after I apply the color. Results in a force quit and loss of work. SOLUTION?
Photoshop CC 2015 appears to have a major bug with lenticular stereo image generation (the same feature works fine in CC 2014 so the bug has only been introduced in the latest version). The bug can be replicated by creating any 3D scene (by loading a 3D model or converting an image to a 3D postcard) and then turning on stereo in the "Current View" panel and choosing Lenticular (and a depth or distance above 0). The lenticular interlacing that is generated in CC 2015 is always 1 pixel wide irrespective of the LPI setting. For example with a 600 DPI image and a 40 LPI setting the vertical interlacing should be 15 pixels wide, but is only 1 pixel wide. Changing the LPI value has no effect on this either. This makes it completely impossible to generate lenticular stereo images for printing in the latest version of Photoshop, which is critical for my business. Please advise if this bug can be looked at and resolved (maybe the code can be reverted to that in CC 2014?).Thanks.
Each time I save on a network drive driven by Mac OS X 10.7.5 (I know, pretty old) connected via afp, Photoshop creates this empty and unneccessary folder. Is there any solution?
This is also in PS 2017 (and probably all after) on PC (Win 7).When one holds Alt + Shift before dragging a mask from the source to the target layer, it (rightly) copies an inverted mask. This seems to be recorded well, but does not execute and produces an error dialog."The command 'Make' is not currently available."Workaround: Copy normally and invert the mask.
This could be useful, except it can resize the document window, despite 'Zoom Resizes Windows' unchecked in Preferences.

Greetings! Is this the right way to report a bug?I have a group of overlay textures - all in blend mode Screen - and put a color/saturation layer over the group, then clip it to the group. When I change the saturation then, my Photoshop causes problems. The overlays change their opacity, irreversible. Zoom into image doesn't work anymore. When I delete the color/saturation layer now, all layers lose their thumbnail. But the image still looks broken. Only restarting Photoshop helps for me.But how do I change color/saturation values of my overlay group now?I guess it's some kind of a bug.Can anyone recreate this behavior? With best regards
Any action with an "Open" command inserted into it gives an error at the "Open" command when played in PS CC 2020. The error says "Could not complete the command because of a program error." It even occurs if I delete the old command and insert a new one using PS 2020. I can work around it by closing the error message, opening the file manually and then skipping to the next step in my action, but this is hell on workflow. I have tried it on a Mac and a PC with the same results. Does anyone know what is causing this bug or how to fix it?
Just updated to PS 2020 and went to use crop tool with golden spiral overlay and tried to roatate on Mac using shift+O and overlay will not rotate. Any ideas on how to make it work again?
When I open a document with a Layer Group set to Knock Out (Shallow in this case), it appears to not be working (i.e., not knocking anything out), but when I simply click on the Layer Group to open Layer Styles, the knock out suddenly appears correctly. However if I then save the doc and reopen it the problem is back. Also, I frequently make Knock Out Layer Groups which contains other Knock Outs within them (i.e., punch a hole in a full-canvas Knock Out layer). These do not seem to be working either (at least not in legacy documents), although I've had limited success in rebuilding them from scratch. This is on Mac OS 10.14.6 (Mojave).Thank you
When working on an already tagged image and saving as, the tags field is pre-filled with the same tags as the original image. This happens in Photoshop 21.0.0 and macOS 10.14.6. Never had this behaviour before today (updated to 21.0.0 today) and in our workflow this is not preferable. Does anyone know if there is a way of turning this new feature off?
holding option and dragging from the end of the measure tool is supposed to create an angle measure or protractor, but it just clears the measurement. version 21.0.0 on Catalina 10.15.1
OSX Mojave german version1. just create a new action and make a new adjustment layer. 2. Then change any value of it. 3. Stop recording and activate the "dialog" for editing values of the adjustment layer in the action panel. 4. If you now run the action or make a double click on that order in the action panel you get an program errorI have many actions with dialog's for adjustment layer and they are all obsolete now.
When try open a PDF file with security settings (password) in new version 21.0.0 or 21.0.1, the application crash with "say" nothing.I tried several files, from several fonts and same happened. All PDF that I try open, are Vector PDF files created at another applications, like AI and PDF proof files from my prepress company.
I had not noticed this behavior prior to the newest release. Drop shadows on layers elsewhere in the documents are causing boxes in the top left corner, size relative to the size of the drop shadow. There is nothing in the vicinity of the box.In the sample below, the drop shadow on the text center right is causing the box. Turn off the shadow and the box goes away. There are no hidden elements on the pasteboard to the top left—the drop shadow is on that text group only.Checking Preferences>Legacy Compositing makes the problem go away, but I'd consider that a bug more than a feature.Photoshop 21.0.1Mac OS 10.15.1AMD FirePro D300 2GB
