Photoshop Elements

I hope you can help me with the following problem to recover my photographs. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 14 to manage/edit photographs on my desktop computer. I imported some photographs from my external hard drive with out a problem, then decided to install the imported photographs into a separate folder. The problem I have is I cannot exit the new folder to access all my photographs in the organiser, (I hope this makes sense). I would appreciate your technical help in regaining access to all my photographs in adobe 14. Kind regards Alan Platts

Elements 13 was printing fine. Needed to print got thr following error message:"Because the default printrer could not be opened."I have a Canon Pixma 200. It was working fine. 1) I tried another jpg...nothing2) Did the preference reset routine in E13..no chage 3) Other apps print 4) used printer cable direct to PC, bypassing wifi...nada5) Reloaded printer driver....nope6) Reloaded Elements 13,,,,still noI suspect an E13 update might have done this...any help appreciated  

I have just started using Photoshop Elements 2023 Organizer and two controls have appeared alongside a couple of photos (see screenshot). One looks like a brush in a box and displays the words "Version Set' when hovered over. The other is a right pointing arrow with a bar to the left of it. This doesn't display any wording when hovered over but appears to duplicate the photo when clicked. Can anyone tell me what these two controls are used for?

I want to add the file name to the picture, so that when people look at the picture the file name is embedded into the picture.I have done some research on this top and have found some mention of tools that people have build to do this and indeed many different things I suppose. Im using PSE 10. Windows 7 Prof.  From what I understand, I cant build tools because my version eg Elements is not full blown. But if people have build something to do this I can then add it to my software and it will function for me.While in full, quick or even guided there appears to be an option under File/Automation Tools. This appears to be what I need. Can anyone tell me where this add on is and how to use it, I cant seem to find it and I really dont know if it will work with PSE 10. Many of the refrences I have seen seem to be for earlier version.Perhaps there is an easier way ?? Thanks

Hi! My Photoshop elements 2020 is freezing for 20-30s when pressing some menu button. This happens when I have started the program and opening something from top menus. I have tried usual things like clean install and so on but that doesn't help. Any clues how to get this problem fixed? Thanks in advance...

Is Elements 2022 compatible with MAC OS Ventura 13.0?

I've been using Photoshop since 1991 and just purchased Elements. I can't believe this program was okayed for release - it is quite possibly the worst version of Photoshop ever created. It's as if the developers decided to create a program that would be nothing but a frustration for people who use it. Not only does the tool box not undock from a 'workspace', the workspace is a dead weight atrocity, with tool options locked into a grey area that can't even be brought forward by clicking on it. So it sits there in the background like a useless block. Constraining images now automatically locks in and requires users to hold the shift key - or not, depending on how the program decides to respond to the command - creating another headache for users. Pasting into is now a complete nightmare as Elements pastes in on one layer instead of two and locks in the pasted image at a normal setting which can't be adjusted. Gone are features like rasterization and the warp option in the transform comma

I wanted to know here is there any possibility to Stable and hold the + icon which move when we color the subject?

I'm having some issues with the Updaters for PSE2023. It starts and gets to 3% but no further.Anyone experienced a similar issue?Any suggestions? Thanks.

After I installed Photoshop Elements 11 I started Organizer, and it started building a catalog. Before the catalog was completed I selected "stop" which interupted the process. So I have an incomplete catalog. Is there a way to complete the process or to start it over again?

Since updating to Elements 2023 (on IOS 11.7.1) from Elements 2020, I am having many issues. Mainly with the preview functions in "Skin Tones and Shadows and Highlights." Changes often cannot been seen unless you toggle the preview box a few times. I have rest the tools but the problem especially with Skintones is lagging or does not change at all. Very fraustrating as Elements 2020 was flawless. Contact Adobe support but no real resolve yet. Any ideas?

I have a copy of Photoshop Elements 14 which has always worked fine but suddenly it won't open at all and when I try to uninstall I get a message that it needs to be updated to work with my OS - I'm running monterey on a 2015 MacBook pro, intel, but haven't upgraded the OS recently. So, strange. Can I reinstall PE14 from somewhere? I'm perfectly happy with it. I tried installing 2023 but of course my serial number is no longer valid. And I can't reinstall from DVD since the MacBook doesn't have a dvd reader.I have had some problems recently changing my user name on the MacBook (which, I've now learnt, cannot easily be done...), I suspect there's path that's been lost and PE can't find whatever files it needs to launch.

Elements 2023 Shadows and Highlights.With every adjustment of the slider I have to uncheck and re-check the preview box to see the adjustment i have made to the photo.The adjstment I am making should be obvious and be able to be seen as i am doing it.I spoke to a senior technician yesterday (21st March 2023) who advsied it is still being looked into. they are providing a slow service.Camera and Card Reader recognition Elements 2023.Senior Tech at Adobe told me I have to subscribe to some area of Bridge to allow the Camera recgnition to operate and download the photos from a card reader.An adobe emloyee operating an on- line blog advised that downloading Adobe Bridge BETA solves this recognition problem and it did.Adobe BETA now recognises my camera and my card reader just like the last Photoshop Elements 19 etc.

I am using Photoshop Elements 2020 on a Dell computer with Windows 11 Operating system.I have created a terrible situation, so that Organizer will not open.I started to try to use a Seagate Hard Drive Backup because I saw a notice that it had done a complete back up. I can not find that back up file. I changed the Drive name and that confused the Organizer. So I did a restore from that day's Organizer backup. I saw it all come back. But now I can not open the Organizer. Would I be better off to delete Organizer and reinstall it.? Then I could ask it to restore from the Organizer backup files on the EHD. 

This is the problem I was having when I had 2022.  When wanting to change a typeface and scrolling down the list to find the one I want, the screen freezes and then crashes. A reboot brings it back but doesn't fix the problem.  Additionally, when entering text, it is always inserted under the top layer and thus I can not see what I am entering.  Using Win 11 with plenty of memory. Will uninstalling Adobe 2022 and reinstalling 2023 be the cure?

I am to click on the text two times and it should open bevel and emboss and other settings, etc.I tried everything and no where can I find this section that opens with bevel and emboss and a bunch of other things, more than what's in the layer styles area. I need to find this to do my tutorials right, Can anyone show me where it's at in PS Elements 15 please? Thanks

I am using Photoshop Elements 15. I am doing a tutorial and for the life of me I cannot find bevel and emboss.The lady is using Photoshop Cs something. This is where I'm stuck:   I click the fx button but no bevel and embosscomes up, hence I cannot find inner shadow to change settings. Elements 15 is so different, never had troublewith Photoshop. Please answer asap if you can, thanks so much.12.  At the bottom of the layer palette, click on the Add a Layer Style button (the fx icon again), and choose Inner Shadow and change your settings to the ones in the picture below.

Whe editing text , the cursor will place as normal, however any overtyping, character deleting, font changes, color changes, etc ... are not visible until green x 'commit' is clicked.  Essentialy all text editing must be done blind  ... no changes are visible.Windows 10 updated,  PS Elements v21... I've uninsatlled and re-installed multiple times.  The software is useless in this state ... help please:)-Michael

Hi. i just bought a new Sony A7Riii Camera and the Elements Software won't open the RAW files even though Adobe says it supports this model camera. I'm using Elements 2021 Version 19.0 and the Camera Raw version is 13.0.0.612.  I downloaded the latest version which is 15.3 and it installed but Elements only recognizes the 13 version.The ARW files are around 34 mbs in size. I tried using different cards and the compressed and uncompressed settings on the camera yet the RAW files won't open. Here is te error message I am getting: Thanks in advance for any suggestions.Howie

I bought a new printer - all of my other software is doing just fine with it.  Adobe Photoshop 10 seems to think I am trying to fax.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still everytime I try to print a picture only fax options come up.  My printer has the option of faxing, but I have not activated this feature. 

HiI have all my photo and video files on external hard disks and the Photoshop Elements 2020 catalog file is of course saved on the "normal" location on the current windows 10 computer (Program Data/Adobe/Elements Organizer/Catalogs).Now I need to purchase a new computer and I want to keep all my photo files on the same external hard disks, but I want to move the current catalog file to the new computer because in that catalog are all the information like key words, tags, named persons, events, locations, etc. etc. Can I simply copy/paste the catalog folder of the old computer to the new computer to the correct location? Or will there be any problems? Or is there another way how to do it in correct way?The Adobe help pages all speak about the full backup including the photo files, but all my photo files will stay in the same locations in those external hard disks, so no need to recopy all those files.Thanks a lot in advance for your help!Hanspeter

I have used Elements 8 for some time and organize my images on my 😧 drive. Suddenly the photo downloader in Elements does not see the 😧 drive. I can see all my exisiting images from within Elements but just can see thwe 😧 drive from within the downloader. I have been into the preferences menu and browsed rge saved files location but the 😧 drive is not visible there either! The downloader is defaulting to the C:\users location. 

After my Dad moved on to the Greast Generation Heaven his old beloved Dell Inspirion Desktop remained unused for 9 years or so. I just turned it on and as you might expect EVERYTHING wants to update. That said, starting with Windows 7 which is " NO LONGER SUPPORTED " and messages tell me that the OS is NOT " Genuine ". I suppose a semantic arguement can be made as it sure seems to me that almost every company that still exists is trying to figure out ways of making money now with the current POLICIES< PROTOCOLS< and PROCEDURES which basically means " get annual income from products that were once SOLD ONCE for X $'s FOREVER. But now, " FOREVER " is nomore! So lets come up with words that confuse and suggest....suggest that you " get on board " with paying an annual fee to use their product. To make matters worse, being a " good son " I volunteered to do all of the tings he didn't want to learn or do; including buying this particular Dell FOR HIM after crashing the HIGHEST EN

Recently installed PSE 2022 on my Win10 Home laptop.The Organiser has corrrectly imported all my pictures.At the top of the screen are the menu buttons File, Edit, Find, View and Help but when I click on any of these nothing happens! The detailed drop down menu items do not appear.  Have tried running as Administrator but no difference.In the Photo Editor all the main menu items operate correctly! Help please!

I'm trying to do a tutorial for a zoom effect on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdSWubzncqE&t=615sI have used the lasso tool to select the girl in the photo. I then tried to use the refine edge tool to get rid of what the lasso tool did not. But no matter how many times I go over the background around the girl, I can't get all of it to go away.Any help would be appreciated.this is what I'm doing and you can see the problem areas.Thanks in advance.Dave
