Photoshop Elements

I've asked this question in the past but forgot what I did with the answer. My wife and I share duties, she's creative and edits the photos, I have a color deficiency and do the organizing and tagging. Can I use a single external drive where I plug it into my computer to do the organizing then give it to my wife to do the editing? I've tried keeping both computers synced by using backup but with thousands of photos it takes hours. Any help would be appreciated, Thank in advance. Jerry

New user. Using Elements 2023. Windows 10. New install. Importing via bulk from a single folder on my SSD that contains about 5000 photos. Have catalog on separate SSD  drive, which I created before importing. About 20% of the way through it hangs and then says Adobe encountered an error and needs to close. Tried this twice. Sent error file to Adobe. I do not know where the error log is kept.Any help appreciated.

Have been using PSE18 on Windows 10 computer.  Works fine with QXD camera card.  Just upgraded to CFE camera card.  PSE organizer does not recognize the CFE card.  Computer does recognize the CFE card and I can work around the problem but would appreciate any suggestions that might help me get the CFE card to apprear in the organizer -- get photos --  from camera or card reader device list.  Thank you.

I am trying to learn to use layer masks in Photoshop Elements. I can fill sith black color and then paint white to get my picture visible, but if I paint to much white I can not get it black again. I am trying to paint with a brush, using black color. Does anybody know what I might be doing wrong?Is there any setting I must change to do it black again? /Linnea

I purchased & installed the download of Photoshop Elements of 2018 and I have a license key, but I lost the app when my hard disk crashed. Looks like Elements 2018 is no longer available as a download . . . Do I have to write it off and buy the 2020 version?

Just purchased 2020 photoshop elements and premier as my previous version of 2019 did not work with Catalina on my Mac. Now I downloaded Elements 2020 OK but when I go to download 2020 Premier,  Elements always comes up to download Elements not Premier.

Hallo zusammen,ich habe einen Lizenzschlüssel für ein Upgrade Elements 2023 gekauft und möchte damit die Version 2020 (Windows) ersetzen.Leider kommt immer der Fehler das die Anmeldung fehlgeschlagen sei, obwohl vorher die Meldung "Anmeldung erfolgreich" kam.Bilder hier im Verlauf Hat irgend jemand eine Idee, wo der Fehler liegen könnte?Vielen Dank bereits im Vorraus.  

Hello, I tried to use Photoshop elements yesterday and I noted that the behavior of the application  has changed. 01.At various times the thumbnails in the layers panel do not render - they just appear as they default grey and white checkers even though the layer has objects that should be in the preview. Cutting some of the layers sometimes forces a render of the preview. 02.I every time I attempt to make a selection with any tool the marching ants around the selection disappear. I can see my selection as I'm making it, but when I release the mouse, no selection is visible in the image (even though it *did* creation the selection). The selection appears if I flip back and forth to another image window. When I finally do see the selection, the ants are not moving, the ants are dead. I'm really hoping that there is an easy fix for this because it's very hard to work when I cannot see my selections and my layer previews. I have tried the 'reset my preference

There are multiple dialog boxes that don't appear or won't draw.The latest one came after a catalog backup.  My catalog is big, so backup takes an hour or more. During the backup, the computer timed out and locked the screen.  Upon return, the Elements Organizer screen was unresponsive because there was an open, but invisible dialog box.  Windows status bar showed that there was an open dialog box, but there was no way of displaying it. This has happened on several occasions, not sure it is because the screen locked or because the organizer drew the dialog behind the active window. Running Windows 10 home, 64 bitmain screen is 4k running at 150% scaling. Secondary screen is 1080 with 100% scaling.

HiIs there support at Adobe to help clean up my user folder structure?  12 folders down before I can see the photos.Also I would like help with backup/restore to & from my laptop so when I 'm traveling I can continue working with my photos.  I'm ok with deleteing the catalog and doing a restore but want to keep the same folder structure and not add to the endless user folders.And yes, both desktop & laptop have different user names - laptop crashed last year and was rebuilt with a different user name.  Maybe there is a way to rebuild the laptop?  I have no files on it only programs that can be re-installed.I am somewhat computer savvy but don't want to create more of mess than I already have.HelpPaul 

Helping a buddy that just upgraded his PS Elements. All images imported were imported from OneDrive rather than his Pictures albums on his PC. He has some images in Pictures that don't exist in OneDrive and vice versa. Can I copy all Images from OneDrive into his Pictures album. Then delete all images in Organzer and reimport this time from Pictures? Does my process make sense?

I have bought Photoshop Elements 2022 and am running into issues. It seems to be that I am missing my toolbar and some "drop down" tabs when I open up Camera Raw. Is there something or somewhere I go to get them? On the first picture is a screenshot of Camera Raw when I open it. Notice my drop down tabs only include "basic, detail, and calibration." The second photo is one I pulled off the internet of someone elses camera raw. Notice they have more options like "curve, color mixer, color grading, optics, geometry, and effects" all tabs that I am missing. On the far upper right of that photo they also have more options in their tool bars.Just a note, I am using windows 10 and my version of Camara raw is 14.1. Any help would be appreciated. All the videos I watch on youtube of people using camera raw also have all the tabs and tools that I am missing. I am stumped.

Hello Everyone,I just upgraded from Photoshop Elements 10 to Photoshop Elements 2022. However some things do not seem to work like they used to. For some reason everything in the Layer Tab is greyed out. Actually I cannot even make out where the layers window is. In the windows tab, the Layers ("Ebenen") have a checkmark, but it is also greyed out. Copying a selection is also not possible. CTRL+C copies the entire image, even though I made a selection and the Copy option in the Edit Tab is greyed out as well. I am logged in to my account, so I'm quite lost why I cannot use any basic functionality of Elements. Screenshots are attached.Any ideas? Is this the right place to ask?

Hallo Zusammen, habe auf dem WIN Rechner Adobe Photoshop Elements und zwar die Version 2022, habe hier jeweils einen Katalog für jedes Kalenderjahr, somit viele Kataloge, habe ein komplettes Backup gemacht und möchte gerne die Kataloge auch mit der Version 2022 auf dem MACBOOK nutzen, bekomme aber leider die Kataloge nicht eingefügt.Mit der Bitte um Hilfe zwecks weiterer Vorgehensweise.Habe zur Zeit nur einen aktiven Katalog auf dem MAC Rechner.Wenn ich einen Katalog versucht habe wiederherzustellen, war dieser nur unter "Benutzerdefinieter Pfad" sichtbar, aber nur bis ich das Programm geschlossen habe. Gruß Olaf Herz

I have Photoshop 2022. I went through camera raw and import profiles and presets but cannot find the preset to use. I tried downloading again but it says the file has already been imported. Where do I find the imported presets to use?

Hello. My photoshop doesn't even show the timeline option under windows? I opened a new file, chose film and video. Size HDV/HDTV 720p/ 29.97. Please help.

Guten Tag, ich habe ein ein Konto bei Adobe und wollte meinen Lizenzschlüssel (Adobe Elements 2020) dort registrieren. Nach der Eingabe der Seriennumer erhalte ich die Information: "Diese Seriennummer wird bereits verwendet" Ich habe aber kein weiteres Konto, indem diese Seriennummer verwendet wird. Wer kann mir da helfen ?

I am using Elements 2023 trial edition and working in the Places tab. When I am zoomed out it will show the high level location name for groups of photos such as the city and state name. If I double click on that tag to open the photos the Tag for City is not on some of them even though they have GPS coordinates. If I zoom into the street level view I can see that some of the pinned photos will show the exact street address while others will say "Get Location Name". It seems that to make sure all of the photos get a location tag assigned to them you have to zoom all the way in and manually click the "Get Location Name" link. Is there a way to bulk update all photos or by default have it download the location based on the GPS data when it exists? This is the last thing I want to make sure works before purchsing the software.

If some images go missing in a folder that I have under management by Organizer, Organizer gets very upset and wants to reconnect a missing image when I go to examine the image in the image browser, and it won't leave me alone about the problem. It tries scanning the drive for the image and nagging me to tell it where the image went, etc. And then it gets rather unhappy for a while and behaves annoyingly.This is a huge nuisance for me. For my particular use case, I'm perfectly happy to tell Organizer to completely forget about such missing images and to just forget that they ever existed. Or to let them just remain disconnected, as long as I can easily delete the image browser entry in Organizer to that image. Is there a way for me to accomplish one of these two choices? I.e., to get rid of the scanning, nagging, and breaking that Organizer wants to do by default? To proactively address potential responses asserting that I don't really want what I've asked for:I completely underst

What can I do to make sure that Organizer can still locate them?
