Photoshop Elements

I am unable to launch the photoshop editor. Premier  Elements works and also the organizer. I have tried rebooting my computer,  re-installing, and anything else I can think of. Nothing works.Is there a solution to this problem?Thank you.

A user in a PSE group on facebook is wondering how to add actions (theat she purchased) to her favorites panel.Below is a screenshot she provided showing 3 actions, accordingto her they are actions) in a favorites panel, in and older version of pse. You can't simply just right mouse click and select "add to favorites"- at least you can't in pse 2022.  Maybe in earlier versions.I have no idea how to do this. 

I have used elements for many yerar starting with elments 9 and never had any problems. I am now using elements 22 and it freezes about every other day, I have lost so much of my work . Please help! 

I've been using photoshop free for years.  My computer crashed and I got a new one.  How do I find my pictures?  Photoshop is telling me I don't have an active subscription .  But I've been using it up until 4 months ago??

So, I have one of the latest iMacs (less tha two years old), sufficient memory (16GB) and latest operating system (10.13.3). Had Element 14 before and faced same issues. Bought new version 2018 in hope that software was improved, but this is not the case...Moving a person (4 pics) from the person area to one person folder at the right (e.g. friends), the popup shows 100% but nothing happen, frozen. Cancel does not work, menu to exit is not available, etc.This issues I knew from Organizer 14, but now, after new new version still the same issue??Similar for locations: chosing a location at the map leads to minute of frozen state of organizer...I have medium sized cataloge, 25.000 pics in it...So I spend today enough money for new product and it sucks.Not appreciatedCheersHarry

I've upgraded to photoshop elements 2022.  In neither 21 nor 22 is it possible to drag and drop images on the elements icon.  This has always been an asset with the elements programs.  What you get now is red circle with a line through it.  I've seen elsewhere that this might be linked to the upgrade from windows 10 to windows 11 but actually nothing official that I could find that identifies this as the problem.  In any event, windows 11 was released in October 2021 and if that were the problem, I would assume a bug fix would have been released as well.  Are there workarounds?  Any suggestions?  I should also note that installing both elements and premiere 2022 was about a three day deal with multiple trips to adobe support.  Not sure if that's part of the problem here as well. 

I've read several threads here on how to create a panorama, which contained links to several help articles. NONE of them seem to work in PSE 20 (2022). Expert mode: Select File | New and something (Photomerge or Panorama or ...?). But no, the only choices are Blank file or from clipboard. Guided mode: Select files from the Photo Bin, and click on Photomerge Panorama. Shift click? Nope, doesn't work. Ctrl click? Seems to work (maybe, it's extremely subtle), but no, selecting them all then clicking Photomerge Panorama brings up a panorama with one file in it. Is there any simple way to select 5 files and create a panorama out of it?

How do I reset the sort order within my Album Order sort for a given album? For example,I have my Album Order as desired, which is mostly by date, oldest first, but maybe some exceptions.Then I add additional photos to the album. The dates of the new photos may be all different.If I change the sort to "Oldest First", there is no longer a way to shift the photos around.Rather than have ot manually drag every single new photo to a new location, I want to simply "Sort Album Order by Date" to reset my Album Order and start over. There used to be an option for this in past versions of Elements (I only recently upgraded). Please tell me this is still possible somehow.thanks!

Hello,I have just bought Elements 2022 from Amazon as an electronic download.  I have redeemed the licence numebr and follwed the link to download the installer.  When I try and run it though I get the message that the installer is damaged.  I have tried re-downloading the file several times.  I have used both the link from the licence redemption and directly from the Adobe webiste where you get the 30 day trial version and I get the same result whatever approach I take. Here is a screen shot of the error.I tried chatting with an agent, but they could not help and told me to post here.Robin 

Hi All, I am new to Adobe Photoshop. I need to reduce the image size of a picture, then upload the new file to an online print shop for them to print. I have gone into 'Image' and 'Resize', then under document size I appear to successfully reduce the image size (without using  resampling so I do not sacrifice resolution). When resizing, I was careful to only change one of the dimensions (i.e., width) while letting the other field (i.e, length) update automatically. The issue is that after saving the revised image to my computer, I then upload it to the online photo shop. But no matter what size print (i.e., 9 x 16) I choose on their website, my resized image appears to be exactly the same size (32 x 57) as my original file. This is TOO LARGE. I have spent days on this. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to reduce an image and have it keep the reduced size when being submitted to a photo shop for the purpose of printing??? Note, I have avoided cropping

I have photoshop element 2020.  I am the adminstrator and have had no problems till now.  In the orgainizer I am trying to move my folders and it says i dont have permission to do this task.  I have done this for the last 2 years with no problem till today.  Can you explain to me what is wrong  Thank you

Hello, long time Elements user, just started using Elements 2022 on HP envy 360 laptop.  The crop function is not working...I've tried everything I can think of.  It it bouncing around, or won't let me just drag from a corner and "pull" the crop to size the image as I want.  When using one of the 4 auto choices--it won't let me move it around with the center dot and 95% of the time I don't like the auto crop location.  I've tried in quick and expert.  It may work once but then goes right back to being impossible to control!  Please help!  I have 7,000 safari photos to work with and I can't get anywhere!! I have a problem with the "refining edges" part. After choosing the overlay in view mode, checking the smart radius and filling in the pixels for the radius, the overlay disappears when returning to the edit screen. This prevents me from refining the edges. Where can I fix this. See examples. Regards, Richard

I have a photo I would like to enter in a contest. The requirements are no larger than 16MB 3300 x 2550 pixels (11 in. X 8.5 in. at 300 dpi) I have satisfied all the requirements re: 300 dpi and 3300 x 2550. However, when I look at the photo in PS9, it states it is 24M. I assume that means MB. When I right click on it or look at it in Picasa, it says 4.5 MB. Which is it? Thank you.

PS Elements 15 funktioniert auf meinem neuen PC nicht. Hab es de- und wiederinstalliert. Kann das Programm aufrufen, aber dann geht nichts mehr - muss das Programm über Task Manager beenden.

I want to make a circle or shape without any fill, but an outline, with just the outline color without fill to it. How do I do that?

Hi folksLast Sunday, everything worked perfectly. Today, I wanted to process my pictures (Canon, CR2), which worked well as usual (with the 2021 version). As soon as I open the picture in the Editor, everything freezes, nothing works, and I have to use the Task-Manager to end the program. I deinstalled the 2021 version, installed it again > same problem. I bought the 2022 version, installed it > same problem. I manually installed the newest Camera Raw version > still the same problem.Did anybody experience this as well? This is really annoying. My laptop runs on Windows 10 Home with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti.Your help is much appreciated!Best wishes,Kurt

I'm running Monterey ver 12.5 on my Mac PCI have PE 2020 installedI'm attempting to backup and restore the catalog on an external driveDespite several attempts at backing up and restore it fails.The Backup folder does not contain the all important ‘backup.tly’ file.What’s the solution? 

I recently installed (3 weeks ago) PS Elements 2021 to my new computer.  I was familiar with an older version previously. Over time certain sections of the program have stopped working or cause a freeze/crash.  It seems to be getting worse over time (cannot straighten a photo without a crash, skin smooth in perfect portrait no longer functions) and the program is getting slower and glitching with just 2 or 3 photos open. Should I uninstall/reinstall?  Or is this a common thing?

Hi, I have Photoshop Elements 12 installed on my Windows 10 PC. I noticed that recently my graphics panel bin is empty. The other panels (Layers, Effects, Favorites, and More) appear correctly. I uninstalled the program, and reinstalled it and it didn't help. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

When I try to import gradients that I saved or downloaded, the preset options just duplicate instead of the gradient importing. I restarted my computer and tried reinstalling Photoshop twice, but the issue is still happening. I'm using Photoshop Elements 14 on Windows 10. Any help with this issue would be appreciated. I purchased the Elements bundle in 2020. I need to move it to a Windows 11 machine. Now I get an error message."Update requiredYour browser or operating system is no longer supported. You may need to install the latest updates to your operating system."I have the latest Chrome and Edge versions. I do not use or have IE on the machine.  How do I install Photoshop and Premier Elements?
