Photoshop Elements

I have used elements for at least 8 years, probably more and have always used folders for each years then sub didvide into months so when I upload the photos go into each month in their relevant dates. I always do the months at the start of each year, to make things easy on each upload. I tried doing this years by adding the folders into the memory card not using elements but the month folders just disappeared. I then tried to add the folders within the app but they just dont come up when you add the photos, so they are just stored within the year as random date uploads and is difficult to follow. This used to be simple to do  what is going on now to make things difficult again. Cheers 

I bought Adobe Elements from the Apple App Store in March 2021; I never got a serial number (no box, no disc, just a receipt from Apple with their own transaction number).   How do I avoid the Monterey hang-on-launch bug? 

I am using Photoshop Elements 2020. Recently, I've been trying to do a project where you merge two images together, so I looked for Photomerge. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it anywhere, and not many posts on this forum helped me resolve this problem. I tried: Looking under EnhanceLooking under Edit for a "Guided" FolderResetting my Preferences Any insight? Or is Photomerge not available of P.E. 2020?

My photo viewer app creates aliases of images i want to edit later, so I have a folder full of aliases. Let's say I have an image open and I say, "That's cool, I wonder where the original is?" In older versions of Elements, which opened each image in a separate window, I could use the Mac trick of command-clicking on the title bar of the image, which would open a popup list of the folder hierarchy showing in which folder that image was located. In the current tabbed version of Elements, I can no longer do this. How can I quickly find out where the original of an opened image is located?

Suddenly, when using Elements, I see a "wait" arrow pointer when using just about any brush. For example, when using the blur tool, which involves holding down the mouse pointer and "rubbing" it over the part of the image you want to affect, it always turns into an animated "wait" cursor which consists of a small circle of six smaller chasing circles. I have never seen this cursor before in my life before now, after many years of using different versions of elements, or in any other piece of software. This happens when using low-processor intensive, small brushes, such as the soft round 9 pixels blur brush. It also happens with dodge/burn, eraser, healing brush, etc. This started happening even though I had made no changes to the Mac or Elements. The cursor appears after about one or two seconds. Whatever operation I am doing, such as doge/burn, seems to continue unaffected even after the cursor appears, so the cursor seems to be pointless and it is very distracting. Adv

Advice please! Re. PSE12 under Windows 10 - I have 'apparently' successfully installed PSE12 onto my HP 17" HD laptop with no difficulty but have NOT yet transferred any images. Prior to doing so (knowing that PSE14 and above is ok on W.10), are there any serious compatabilitty issues known? OR is it simply that PSE12 cannot 'benefit' from all that W.10 offers? Simply, will it work OK?? Clearly from the community postings, many people ARE using PSE 12 on W.10 and apart from the specific (limited?) queries, presumably with some success. Should I continue with my installation???! Regards, Dikda

Hello, I need some help with Editor workspace and selecting Graphics.I want to add my images to the graphic catalog in PSE 2020. I used to be able to do that in a previous version, but the method I used does not work with the 2020 version. My images are included when I am in Editor and I select Graphics to add a background, but I get an error message that says the image can't be found. So, I have two questions: How can I add my own images to the Graphics file and                   Why am I getting an error message when I select one of my files?

Hello,I can't find this answer anywhere. I like to use Expert Mode but can't find how to access Photomerge in Expert Mode in the 2021 version. I don't want to use Guided Mode. Is Photomerge still available under Expert? If so, how in the world do I access it?Thanks!

Vous devez peut-être installer les dernières mises à jour de votre système d'exploitation".Je  suis sous windows 10 version 20H2 et microsoft edge... que faire ?Dans l'attente d'un retour...Bien à vous

Hi I cannot activate Photoshop Elements 14 on a new installed PC. Installs correctly, but when I enter the serial number, I get a message indicating that I need to Contact Customer Support. Support has confirmed it is a vlid serial number and to post here. What do I do? Have same issue with Premiere Elementrs 14. Thanks.

I have tried to input my folders into the program twice,first time perfectly second time a diaster. The second time I followed tje prompts and it opened the folder for me to select an image.The first time it just highlighted the folder name and allowed me to go to the next folder and select and it highlighted te second.This time when I do it the folder opens and all the images are shone,as if I wanted to select a single image.That never happened the first time,did I not do something correct? Also when I select a folder and it opens can I select all files instead of going to each one and highlighting them.

I'm trying to move my photo collection from another organizer into Adobe Elements Organizer 2022.  In my old organizer, it saved the captions to the Document Title IPTC field.  It appears that Elements uses the Description IPTC field.  Is there any easy way to copy the data from one field to another?I have some PowerShell experience if there is a way to do it programatically.Thanks for any input anyone can provide.

I have PSE 2022 on a Windows 10 Pro machine. When I installed PSE 2022 there were already problems with starting the Organizer from PSE 2018. I told the new install to update the catalogs. I have lost all my albums (both from the 2018 and 2022 versions.). I have made several changes to my photos since the last full backup. My plan is to install an earlier image of my system from when it was working correctly with all the albums and then export my albums. I then plan to reinstall my current system image and then pull the albums in. I have made several changes to my photos since the last full backup so I don't want to just export the old catalog and then restore it after returning my system to its current state. Is this possible? i.e. Export albums from an old image:  then import the albums into the current system.Thanks for any help you provide.

I am scanning a bunch of 35mm slides from the 1950's-1990's, and some of the older pictures are very blurry. I believe the blurriness was caused by either the camera moving and/or the subject was moving. I am using Elements 13, and I am wondering how to go about fixing these images so they aren't blurry anymore.Is that possible? Thank you.

When making fine adjustments to a picture the cursor gets a 'loading ring' round it. If I enlarge to c250% it works fine but back at normal size the white ring reappears and I can't get rid of it. Has anyone else had similar problems and worked out how to get rid of it?ThanksHenry

I need to compare two separate files, both JPEG pics.I need to see both on the screen at the same time, without clicking between them.Can PSE do this "split screen"?If so, how?

Hi, after having a new SSD I decided to tidy things up, and realised I had a lot more files in my "Pictures" folder than in the Organiser. I looked through these posts for help and decided to manually import all the files into Organiser. It skipped those already there but I found quite a few that should have been deleted, but for some reason were still on the C drive. I also found quite a few images that were not in the Organiser, but should have been. (Some had definitely been there previously.) At the moment I have 30169 files in "Pictures" folder but only 28802 items in the Organiser. They don't show up as missing files, there's simply a discrepancy in numbers. I'm not sure if the numbers should match or not. Can anybody help with this please .. should they match and if so, what can I do about it ? Thanks  

Hi,I purchased a laptop from Dell and added Adobe photoshop elements. I've been promted to put in my redemption code 3 times because the product "is not licensed" and I am again being asked to enter the code today. Will I need to do this every time I use it, or can this problem be fixed? Why isn't it registering my product and remaining as so?

Paint bucket tool used to work great but not any more.  I opened an image of a mandala from online and then chose green and then the paint nucket tool icon, and then clicked a leaf, and the whole image turned green How do I paint just part of it within lines such as a stalk, a leaf, and so on.  Not the whole image?

I installed PSE2020 on the solid state 220GB "C"drive  instead of the 2TB "D" hard drive . The PSE Organizer file is now filling up and I need to move the Organizer files intact to the D drive and operate from there or move the PSE program and Organizer files intact to the D Drive. I have 2 years  of work and thousnds of pictures I do not want to lose . I do not know how to do that , first attempt failed to reduce size of  Organizer file .
