Photoshop Elements

I have had 2021 Elements for 2 years. Suddenly the dropdowns on the menu bar starting with 'file' and 'edit' are greyed out. Even with a photo loaded in editor the drop downs are still greyed out and do not work. I can still upload a photo and access the 3 methods of working ie quick guided and expert. Is there a way of restoring these menus?

On a Macbook using Photoshop Elements with Sequoia. When I go to drag my cookie cutter tool the arrow changes from the usual crosshair to the arrow. This has been an issue ever since I started using Sequoia. Resetting the tool and/or Photoshop fixes for maybe the first time but it goes right back to it. I think this happens whenever I take the pointer out of the canvas but it never snaps back to the crosshair. I am trying to crop from corner to corner so this issue is common for me. 

March of this year, 2024, I purchased 2024 Photoshop Elements for my new iMac for $69.99. I was able to get it downloaded and it worked great for a few months. Around July, it wouldn't open any longer. I deleted the program and tried to download again and it won't download. It keeps giving me error code 183 "We are unable to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 this time." I have tried too many times to download it and it keeps giving me the same error. I have deleted all Adobe files, given creative cloud full disk access, and gone through all the steps listed online. It still gives me error 183. Why is this happening? What do I need to do to fix this? If I can't get Photoshop on my iMac, I will be asking for a refund. I shouldn't pay that much for only a few months of the program.

I have purchased a canon R5 mark2. I have adobe elements 2025 with version 17 camera raw installed. When I try to import photos from camera or card reader, the photo downloader says <none  detected>. With that being said, if I import "files and folders" my files come up EOS_Digital (I:) I have a XFVC,  MISC, DCIM, and a CRM folder appear on the right. The MISC file shows up under properties as a exFAT file with how much information is on the CF express B card. If I click on the DCIM file, a 100EOSR5 file shows up, and when I open up that file, all my pictures show up. If  I highlight all my photos and click open, All my pictures show up in organizer (all my pictures are RAW CR3). I can edit them, save as jpeg or any format. When I click the "Back" arrow they show up with my other photos. Which is normal for me, but when I unplug my card reader from my computer, and try to open one of the pictures, it searches but can't find the pictures. For some reason its not dow

With Elements 2024 on dual 4k monitors (Elements full screen on only one monitor) and Wacom Intuos tablet, if the Elements  "UI Scale Factor" is set to Auto or 200%, then where the cursor shows and where the brush draws is offset up and to the left by close to a quarter of the screen.  So if you draw with the cursor in the upper left quadrant, it will ink in the lower right.  So to draw in the upper right of an image you need to have the cursor up and to the left outside of the image.  But pen pressure works fine and changes the width of the brush.  If you draw in any of the other quadrants of the screen, the cursor and the brush are aligned but pressure does not work and you get a fixed brush size.  This seems to indicate that the pen is being read as "mouse mode" outside of where Elements thinks the screen is, and in "Windows Ink" mode elsewhere.  And the PSUserConfig trick doesn't seem to work anymore.  So, either run Elements with UI Sca

Hello,I have reinstalled Photoshop Elements in the new PC. But opening row files plugin is not working well as before, some strange colors appear and photo affter openning looks not like before. See attached images with before and after printscreens. Before I had Windows 10, now I have Windows 11. Please advise what can be done.

Je suis actuellement à la recherche d'une solution pour récupérer des photos de famille d'une grande valeur sentimentale, stockées sur un ancien ordinateur de bureau Microsoft. Les photos étaient accessibles via le logiciel "Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2", installé sur cet ancien PC. Depuis, il m'est impossible d'accéder aux photos via le logiciel qui semble aujourd'hui obsolète et n'est plus supporté par Adobe, même si j'arrive à en ouvrir l'interface... J'ai déjà fait appel à un informaticien qui a exploré le disque dur de l'ordinateur, mais il n'a pas retrouvé les fichiers photo, ce que j'avais moi-même tenté auparavant sans succès. Have a new laptop and new version of Elements (2025).  I did a backup from my old laptop to an external harddrive from Elements 2020.  After getting Elements 2025 loaded onto new laptop, did a restore using the backup I saved on my external harddrive.   After I run Elements 2025 on my new computer, I can see all of my photo's, but each time I try and open one, it cannot find it, (missing file).  I tried FIND ALL MISSING FILES, took an hour but still could not find my files.  I can find them!   What do I have to do to fix this. Thank You!!!!!

I had this happening when I had this plug-in on my windows 10 desktop with 2022 PS Elements and I cannot remember what I did to get it to stop appearing as soon as I open up the editor program. I transferred it to my new windows 11 desktop and now it keeps appearing In little box listing the different features it has. . Any idea how I can keep in the background.  Thanks 

Currently jan16/25 and iJust bought a new windows 11 desktop and wanting to use my Elements 2022 and downloaded it and has an older camera raw version-belive 14.1 while i have 15.3.0.1451 on my laptop .-from few years ago.  Can I get the 15 version and copy from my laptop or just stick with the 14.1 version. I have a sony AIV camera ans shoot in raw. Do i foollow the directions above.

I read online that Elements can open .dcm files but when I try I get an error message about not the right file type.  I am using a PC with Windows 11 Home edition. Can a dcm file be opened? If yes, how?Any help would be greatly appreciated.Chuck

I would like to ask if the 2023 version of Photoshop Elements is compatible with the Camera Raw 15.2 plugin. Or to which version of the program it can be installed. acc. According to the Adobe website, the APSE version is Camera Raw 14.4 and Camera Raw 15 is required to open CR3 files from EOS R6 MKII.

Just loaded Elements 2025 yesterday. Imported the first folder with no issues. Now import, create, nor buttons above do nothing. 

spot healing does not always show in tools bars. 

Just installed 2025 PSE on my new laptop.Cannot sharpen pictures.  The unsharp tool does not work, nor does sharpen on quick edit.  Any suggestions?  I am a wildlife photographer, so important to me. Thanks

Hi Adobe, I have a Nikon Z6 II and want to use my Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021 (last Update already done) with Nikon Raw files (NEF-Format). Camre Raw AddIn does not support the NIKON Z6 II NEF filebecause this is only possible with the Version 13.1 or higher. On my laptop is currently installed 13.0.0.612.Do you have any idea how this can be solved? Meanwhile Camera Raw is available in Version 13.4 for Photoshop but not for Photoshop Elements. Thanks for feedback Michael

 How to stop the pop-up ad for Photoshop Elements 2024.  I have had the 2023 version for 2 months and resent seeing this pop-up.  Judy

I am getting a new desktop Windows 11.  I currently have PSElements 2022 on older windows 10 desktop and also on a more current Windows 11 Laptop.   I gather I need to deregister the one on the older desktop before downloading it from my account to the new desktop.  On this version I was able to add some extra features like the older NIK ,and elements+ etc  besides my ongoing topaz labs products.  Know I can add the topaz labs no problem as long as running on one computer at a time.  Not sure how to transfer the other products.  I have a little knowledge so often get into trouble easily.

does Photoshop Elements 2023 license ever expire?

My new PE 2020 Upgrade Edition keeps telling me to install an update which needs a new app to open the auphd link, and expects to find this in the Microsoft Store. But this responds "No results found in this filtering". What do I do now?
