Photoshop Elements

Hi. I've been trying to install an old version of Photoshop Elements (2014) on a new laptop and every time the install completes, I restart my computer as instructed, and it completely crashes the entire Windows system. The computer doesn't move past the HP logo during the boot sequence, and I have to put the laptop into recovery mode, use my recovery key and use a restore point to be able to use my computer again. I don't think it is a compatibility issue, as I had Windows 11 on my previous laptop and Elements ran without issue on it. Any thoughts/ideas on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Whenever I apply so many gradients on a single layer one after another and select screen mode, it turns white gradually . Why this happens , if i want to create so many gradients on one layer with previous gradients not being disappered  in  screen mode then how will I create then?

Bonjour, je souhaiterais faire des photos couleur à partir d'anciens négatifs couleur 6x6. je suis équipé de "Adobe Photoshop Eléments 2021".  Quelle est la procédure ? After clicking "Organizer" on startup page, scanning for media dosen't stop unless/until I click "Import". After clicking import , it does seem that all the pics it displays are new. Also, I forget what I did but it does finally recognize my iPhone pics (.heic). All my previous versions of PS would find all the new pics in the watch folders, display only them, and I would choose to keep or delete, etc. Can anyone help with this?

I have PS Elements/Premier 15 which have been inadvertantly corrupted/deleted. Elements has limited functionality (no response on the command line ) and Premier has no functionality at all . I believe critical files have been accidently deleted during a hard drive clean up. Is it possible to restore the program?  I don't have a physical PS cd to re-install.   

  

Hello, error message 0xc000007b appears after installing Element. From reinstalling Windows, reinstalling features, installing C++, we installed the missing libraries. The result is the same. Please help. Thank you 

Mon elements organizer est organisé comme suit : un dossier par année et chaque année fait l'objet d'un catalogue.  Lorsque j'importe chacun de mes dossiers "années" dans un unique nouveau catalogue, je perds les légendes de mes 30.000 photos. Y a t'il une astuce pour les importer dans le nouveau catalogue ?

With Photoshop Elements 2.0 I was able to select Photomerge and it automatically merged 20+ images for me. I cannot find where I can do this with Photoshop Elements 14. It seems their Photomerge option is for only 2 pictures.The collage option does not set the images upright. Adobe's tutorial videos show a photomerge option under Enhance. But on the version 14, it is not there.

Hello! I'm trying to save my animation as a GIF but when I use the "save for web" option, the "animate" option is greyed out. Does anyone know a solution?  I've tinkered with the other settings in this window, but that didn't make a difference. I'm using the most recent version of Elements on a Mac. Thank you!

Changed my Photoshop Elements 2020 UI to 200% I want to change it back to 100, but everything is showing outside of my monitor's limits. Can't drag it back to select anything else... I can enlarge the image in photoshop via view but it won't print the 5x7 that I want.  I have also enlarged the image in windows 10 but it still won't print a full 5x7 to fit my frame, it prints smaller than a 5x7.  I do know how to take a image from my photos that I took from a camera and print any size I want but not the email image.  Hope someone has a simple answer. Hello community!  I am new to Photoshop Elements 2024 and certainly frustrated at its limitations.  I am attempting to edit a hand drawn image.  When I enter the color code, i.e. 855c16 for a portion of the drawing, the color is different than my previously saved version.  I am certain that I am entering the color code correctly.  So, I would like to verify this by finding the color code of my original piece, but I can't find a way to do this.  How do I check the color code in a specific part of the drawing?

I ave 160, 000 pictures in my Organizer.  I use Google Drive.  This was okay, until Google Drive uploaded all 160,oo picture and videos and charges me £7.99 to do this.  I do not need this, as I back up every so often onto an external hard drive.  Is there a method of getting to settings?  Secondly, can I switch this feature off.  I only need Goodle Drvie for those pcitres I take with my camera phone and pictures saved from the internet.  Thank you.

Hello,I would like to know if there is any way of moving each image inside of a group separatly using the moving tool, when I try to move one, it moves all the other images that are inside of the groupThank you

After I have imported photo folders and Organizer has completed facial recognition, I select  an unnamed face and give it a name.  The screen then jumps back to telling me to import images.  I stumbled onto a workaround, which is to select Places then select back to unnamed.  This seems to bring me back to a screen where I can continue to name some more unnamed faces. The same going to Places and back to  People happens when I make some other actions.  I have two questions.  The question in my subject line  and am I the only one with this jumping around thing?

Hi everyone I do backups of my entire PSE 2022 catalog to an external hard disk drive. My photo collection includes old photos of a village which I use as a historical archive and they are all tagged as such. I wish to do a separate backup this archive collection (only) to another disk so that it may be passed to another curator using PS in due course. Can I do this while retaining all the essential keyword metadata in a PS format or would other catalog programs be able to sort them? Is the only way to do an entire backup to another disk then manually delete the non-archive collection? That might take some time! Thanks Windows 10

Hi All, For 10 years or longer I have been using Elements and Premere 14 on a 10 year old PC. It has been a workhorse but is WIN 7 and having issues. I now have a new PC with WIN 11. I was using Elemenets 14 but would like to upgrade to the most current version or both. Do I need to first download the old (paid for & only downloaded once) version onto my new PC and then upgrade to take advantage of the current users upgrade price discount or can I download the latest version at a reduced cost? Thank you

I just tried to Import some photos from my iPhone 13.  Those dated 6/30/2024 or earlier Imported as normal.  However, those dated 7/1/2024 and later do not even appear when I click on the Import and select Phone.  The only thing that was different this time from all of the other Imports I have done is, when I selected Phone I got a box with a bunch of dates.  I checked on the boxes with a 2024 date (example: 20241_, 20242_, etc),  I had no idea what I was doing, but knew I wasn't going to be importing any photos prior to 2024.

I tried to use "Colon B&W photo" function,but an error message "Feature download failed. Either the server is currently unavailable, or your computer is disconnected from the internet...."occured.I tried on differen computers within a few weeks, and it never worked.Anyone know what's wrong and how do I fix it?

I had to recover 10's of thousand of files from a faulty drive. I lost all my previous catalogs. BUT the photo files I recovered still have the tags embedded in them. (I can see the tags associated with each file in WIN 10 file explorer.) After recovering and reorganizing 24,000* of the photos and upgrading to PSE-2024, I imported the photos. (* About 1/3 of what I have.) All went well EXCEPT the tags embedded in the files did not import. I have read what I could find at Adobe including community posts and can't find a fix.QUESTION: Is there is a way to import the tags after importing the photos? I've tried REPAIR CATALOG which didn't change anything. 

I can't reinstall Photoshop Elements 2022 after reinstalling Windows 10 on another SSD drive.I had an NVMe drive that was not responding so I reinstalled Windows 10 on a regular SSD drive. It was successful but now when I go to reinstall Elements, which I have done before successfully, I get an error 183 or a message about missing dll msvcp120.dll and sometimes a reference to customhook_hd_eo.exe.I have tried several fixes I have seen on this forum and others. Nothing works. I did eventually, however, download and install the trial version of Elements 2024 successfully so I am really confused. Is Elements 2022 meant to not last longer than two years? Is this a marketing thing? It makes no sense. What am I missing?

Hello! I recently installed Photoshop Elements and I went to use the Moving Overlay feature (which I have used many times before with previous years) but not only was it missing several of the options for overlays, when I clicked an overlay to use it would not apply the overlay.  I even saved my PDS file to JPG to see if that would solve the issue but it did not. Thank you!L.

Hallo,wir haben PSE 10 und PSE 2021. Bei Beiden habe ich Probleme mit der Kopie von Videoclips .Die Fotos werden von der Festplatte richtig übertragen.Be PSE 10  werden die Video auf dem Kopf wiedergegeben (vgl. Anhang). Die Videos wurden seitenrichtig aufgenommen und sind auch auf der  Festplatte seitenrichtig.Bei PSE 2021 wurden die Videoclips bei meinem alten PC und Windows 10 richtig übertragen.Bei meinem neuen PC mit Windows 11 kommt nur eine Fehlermeldung (vgl. Anhang).Kann ich bitte Hife bekommen. Bei Adobe gibt es für diese alten PSE keine technische Unterstützung. mehr. Mit freundlichen Grüßen Reinhard Wollnik
