Premiere (Beta)

Can we please have some folder structure in the Preset Manager. The list is too long and a b..... to search.

Macbook Air, M1 processor, 8 core CPU and 8 core GPU. With right mouse click i can choose scopes from the menu, but they won't show up. Panel stays black.I use the up-to-date version of Premiere on june 16th. Maybe that's the problem?It worked without any problems until Premiere update and/or Mac OS update (Bof Sur).Both updates around the same time.  

Ok ok I know you're not supposed to overwrite files that are in a live project, but I confess I do it all the time because it means I'm always using the right version of clips. I work a lot with After Effects, so a typical edit in Premiere will be a string of AE renders. Of course, Premiere has never particularly liked this because the media temporarily dissapears, but recently it causes a full freeze, vs what happens in After Effects, where you get an offline warning and app remains stable. I think it should be fully robust and have a way of dealing with offline events like this.  Side bar: I also like in AE where you can reload, vs open the cumbersome dialogue to re-browse for clips. Thanks!

@Fergus Kousha @mattchristensen et al ...   Why is it so freaking impossible to get Premiere Pro to simply apply my prefences to a new version?   I can have my prefs upload-synced in the previous version. Then tell the new version to download sync my prefs.   It says it does.   But not a D*&M thing comes through!   What the hay, folks?!   Do I have to MANUALLY find all the files, and copy them to a new location, AGAIN?????   A bit miffed here, as might be noted ...    

Finally trying 23.0.0 b16 and it takes forever to crawl thru the verify screen.  Then it takes forever to indicate it's even going to open.  Then I navigate to my folder and every thing shows up EXCEPT .mov files.  Then some errant key stroke turns the whole screen black and now what?  Fixed that was full screen with nothing to show and no F to shrink it.  Then without a prompt it imports my biggest folder on my computer by accident.   forever     Anyway, where's my files?  Cant even start.  Thanks anyone.  

The pull down menu for changing the Type of caption from "Pop-On" to "Paint-On" doesn't work. Sometimes I can see a flicker of the menu, but it dissappears immediately. Pop-On is the default and that is all that can be selected. 

Why is it so difficult or rather impossible to move the tool bar around in a custom workspace. I get the little vertical thing and that is it.

Lately I am seeing on the forums sequences preview codec auto set to MS AVI. We never use avi unless its old fashioned SD. Even support set someone sequence setting to AVI while editing mp4 phone footage. But most of the time the rendering fails on MS avi. Is this the new way or is it ......

Was working on some graphics templates after running my updates this morning only to find that there isn't a Premiere Pro Beta 23 available, but all of my work was done on After Effects Beta 23 and isn't compatible... I can't seem to find a workaround and am already past my deadline. Any ideas? Also, any clue why they would release incompatible versions?

Premiere beta (does not matter which build) of lately does not remember the thumbnails checked in the Project Window List View. Every time I open a project, I have to turn them on. Getting to be a nuisance.

With the latest Adobe Premiere Pro Beta build we have enabled Hardware Accelerated Decode on Mac M1 for AVC Intra in .mxf container. What does this mean for you? It means that decode times for your AVC Intra footage are significantly faster on Mac M1 systems. Following flavours of AVC Intra will get benefit from this: Panasonic AVC Intra Sony XAVC Intra Canon XF-AVC Intra   Minimum OS version required for this feature to be enabled is macOS 10.15. However, for AVC Intra Class 200, minimum OS version required is 12.2.1.   Hardware-accelerated decoding is ON by default and is controlled by media preference that can be located via: Navigate to Preferences > Media Enable hardware accelerated decoding (requires restart) checkbox should be enabled for HW decoding. Restart of Adobe Premiere Pro is required in case preference is changed.   Please see attached screenshot.   Feature is enabled in Adobe Premiere Pro Beta and Adobe Media Encoder Beta.   Please try out

Transcription does nothing unless you select the check box to only transcribe in to out points.  If you don't check that box, (basically to have it transcribe the entire sequence) it does absolutely nothing.  The status bars all stay dark and nothing happens for as long as you are willing to wait... but if you check the in and out point checkbox, it operates as you might expect and actually does things.  If you have to do in to out point, then why is that even an option?  It should just require an in to out point.  But if you have that check box there, I would assume you should be able to not check it and it would still do something.  But it does nothing at all.  I left it for 12 hours and used all the options except for that, to see if I was not getting something right and it never did anything.  But once I added the in-out points and checked that box.  It worked.

Updated Premiere Beta to Version 22.6 on our HP Z8 workstation running Windows 10 current release. today. When I open an exisiting project, the workspace layout does not appear (all I get is a blank window). After clicking around in the "Window" tab I ended up with cascades of small windows, one for each workspace element. I noticed that each of these small windows had a large blue "windows"-style" header similar to the floating windows in Adobe Audition. Also, I could not recall any of the default workspaces or my custom one.Hopefully this is not a "new-look" for the edit workspace as these header bars take up a lot of screen real estate. I prefer the original style Version 22.5  and don't need or want a big blue window header with a red "close x" in the corner as the blue header bars are quite distracting. (I don't mind them when I float a window such as the Essential Graphics over my workspace.) Hopefully this is a bug and not someones nifty idea for a new "feature".Note I

We are excited to announce some new improvements to copy and paste workflows in Premiere Pro.   In the past, pasting operations in the Timeline have always respected track targeting. While this can be very useful for some workflows, a lot of users have expressed their desire to simply paste to the same track the item came from, which is much more intuitive for most users.   This new feature changes the behavior when copying and pasting assets in a Timeline.  We now default to pasting items to the same track instead of always pasting according to track targeting.  In addition to this more useful default behavior, we have 4 new functions making additional keyboard shortcuts available. Vignette - Midpoint setting at the lowest will crash GPU acceleration and turn screen black needing to restart computer RTX 3090 with latest Studio drivers, thanks !

This beta feature has been removed.  We decided to take a different approach.  You will no longer see this behavior in beta builds.   We now provide an option to delete media cache files when upgrading a project created in an older version of Premiere Pro. This can fix stability and playback issues.        How it works: Launch the current version of Premiere Pro (22.5 at the time of this writing) Open a project created in the previous major version of Premiere Pro (version 15.x) You will be presented with the project upgrade dialog you are probably already familiar with The new “Clear media cache files . . .” option is checked by default Hit ok The entire media cache is cleared The old project is converted into a new project and that new project will be saved Premiere Pro will quit You need to manually relaunch the app and open the converted project   *Project files are compatible across the entire major version Project from 22.0 opens in 22.

With the latest Adobe Premiere Pro Beta build we have enabled Hardware Accelerated Encoding using INTEL GPU cards for 10 bit 4:2:0 HEVC in Rec 2020, Rec 2100 HLG and Rec 2100 PQ.   What does this mean for you? Export times for 10 bit 4:2:0 HEVC in Rec 2020, Rec 2100 HLG and Rec 2100 PQ are significantly faster on supported Intel hardware.    HEVC 4:2:0 10 bit encode is supported on Intel 9th, Intel 10th, Intel 11th and Intel 12th Generation Intel® Core™ processors. If you have any of these Intel processors on your Windows machine, you will be able to use this feature.   To enable this option, select HEVC from the Format drop-down under Export Settings. Then under the Video tab, go to Encoding Settings and set the Performance to Hardware Encoding.  This feature is enabled in Adobe Premiere Pro Beta and Adobe Media Encoder Beta.   Please try it out and share your feedback!

Premiere Pro has supported using Text and Shape Layers as masks for several versions now. With this new feature, users will be able to apply a mask only to a layer's fill, allowing the strokes and shadows to render without being part of the mask. How to use the feature:1. Create a Text or Shape Layer2. With your Text or Shape Layer selected, check on "Mask with Text" or "Mask with Shape" under the Appearance section of the Essential Graphics Panel.3. With your layer still selected, check on the box for "Mask Only Fill"4. Add one or more Strokes and/or Shadows to your layer and see that they are excluded from the Mask. This means that only the fill area is revealing things below. Also try importing a textural image or video and add it as a clip layer at the bottom of your Graphic's layer stack.Create a gradient fill that spans across an entire Text Layer:1. Create a Text Layer. (Here I used Chinese text for "nihao" or hello)2. Check on Mask with Text and Mask Only Fill for the Text Laye

Monday and Tuesday's beta build seem to have this error on my end where if I have footage in the timeline, it shows nothing but black in the Program monitor. I cleared my cache, restarted my computer and Premiere and tried creating a new sequence only for the issue to persist. What could I do to alleviate this? Specs2013 27 inch iMacMac OS Catalina 10.15.732 GB of RAM

As soon as I put a Vignette on my footage from Colour workspace, My footage gets rekt. If I set Vignette to Zero the footage is fine. If I enter any value on Vignette the footage gets completely distorted or goes black. Ive tried it on the footage, on an adjustment layer with other adjustments and on its own adjustment layer with no other adjustments. 

After I add one caption, the + button stays grayed out and I have to changte sequences or restart premiere to be able to add another one.

I updated to the PPrePro Beta 22 build 113.. and it immediately had a LONG Lag when hitting the play button in the program .. either on the timeline or program window or either hitting the space bar or the play button.. it takes.. over 5 to 7 seconds to play... NO JOKE... what happened.. it was fine before the recent update..  it is now extremely frustrting to work on.. win 10. 

Have there been any improvements for the Auto Tone Feature?

I just updated my premiere pro beta (Version 22.6.0 Build 28) and now I cannot grab any files. Not from the source moniter, not from the timeline. The program has been rendered unusable as I can't even move a clip. I can't grab a sequence from the project bar and move it to a different bin. I'm confounded by this problem and on a deadline.    running on Macbook pro 13-inch M1, 2020, MacOS Monterey version 12.4 wtih 16 gb memory
