Premiere Elements

Ever since downloading the PE 2021 V19.0 2120809 update by preview window is so low res itis garbage. Is there a setting to increase the resolution for it?I have a Threadripper and 32g memory, I don't need a low res preview - Thank you.

I have an hour long video and I want to export a few minutes from "near" the middle to a new file... I've read page 81 in Steve's book, and watched a YT video, so I know how to go to both sides and drag the work area indicators inward to mark the section I want   What I am trying to find is a mouse or keyboard shortcut to have the work area bars "snap" to the current location without having to go all the way to the beginning and end of the video to manually grab the bars and drag them into place   Is there a way to make the work area bars jump to the current location?

1. Created a 10 sec video loop 5sec + 5 sec of reversed timeline2. Renders fine into a .mp4 clip from .prel file3. But rendering into .gif creates a black frame at the end of gif, and will not loop(also rendering of  a .gif file is slow, low quality with a choppy progress)What is the issue? N.B. Importing a previously rendered .mp4 clip and then creating a gif works fine Thanks, Adam

I know that APE depends mostly on CPU, especially when encoding however I’ve noticed that utilization of my CPU is quite low. I don’t understand why Premiere is not using all resources of my CPU. Looks that disks are not limiting the exporting process.Exporting of 5min clip takes 3h on Intel 9900k. It is 4K project and I’m using 2 pass encoding but still that is very long time and at the same time utilization of CPU is low. Any advices on it? https://youtu.be/fdeWzSiz5ZM

Using Adobe Premier Elements I am trying to copy a video (Mpeg 4) from my gopro to a DVD that will play both on a computer and also a DVD player. No matter how many times I try the DVD will not play on both sometimes on the computer though. I always tick the Mpeg 4 box but I finish up with a VOB file or a VTS file. Anyone help?Eddie Meehan  

Hi AllI have opened a video in APE that was about an hour long, removed all the parts I did not want ( deleted and closed the gap). I am now left with a 25min (approx) video , in m4v format, which I have cut into a number of smaller clips.I now want to export or save these clips totally seperate from all the other clips in the longer video so...  I have then given each individual clip a new name. So if for example the last clip in this video is 25 seconds long , I then want to seperate it and save it all by itself. "Save as" will not do the job, it only gives me .prel file that will not then re-open in APE, "Export and share" will only export the whole 25 min video without seperating all the clips.and as far as I can determine Smart Trim will not do the job eitherDoes anybody have any suggestions please or am I missing something obvious.cheersNick

Hi All, First time posting in APE forum.I am having an incredible amount of trouble using this product.1st, I have copied a number of VHS tapes with more to be done using K world DVD maker2 to a hard drive, moved them to ssd and on the advice of Adobe chat , converted them from mpg to m4v because all the mpg files had severe jitter etc, using HandBrake. These converted files are still located on the  Sandisk SSDI then open APE and add the video( in expert mode), move it to the timeline, and even though it has an orange line above it , it will still play after hitting the play button, sometimes.If I pause the play and then try to restart it, It is frozen and won't move.  If  I return the playhead to time 00:00 and then try to render the render the Video that too may freeze. I thought adobe programs should work!!I have also updated all drivers from Driver Easy and then also from the manufacterers website with the assistance of  Adobe online chatFor photography I use P

OK, I get that it's an old version, but it's paid for legally. No matter how many times I change my Adobe ID password, it wont let me login. I get an error  "photoshop.com services are currently unavailable"  I have verified my network is OK. I'm guessing the servers it's trying to reach are long gone?  Is there a patch?

Hello! I am a Mac user, and I am using the newest MacBook Air. I have been using Adobe Premiere Elements for a little while now, and I downloaded it on my new Mac! However, it seems as though Apple recently changed how they compress .mov files to be able to play them in the newest version of Apple's QuickTime Player. When I attempt to import my video files into the timeline on Premiere Elements, it reports a generic error. When I look at the error information, my issue says "File uses unsupported video compression type "ap4h." I had never gotten this error before! I believe that I have the most recent update, but I am not sure. What is my problem, and how should I fix this?

After moving a video clip that was imported from a pc file which was imported from an SD card into Project assets, when moving to the Timeline I get a audio shift of about 0.75 sec, Then the video and audio are not synced. Checking the original video file before import to Proj Assets the sync is good. How do I prevent the shift?   Moving from install to the program forum... Hi, When I import a video HEVC recorded with a GoPro Hero 9 at 240fps the Organizer freezes and stops responding. There are no error messages, but the import stops when generating the thumbnail. The process uses lots of memory and disk access, then stops answering. I have to kill the SW. See image attached. Similar behavior happens when I import the file directly in Premier Element. The file is imported (without thumbnail), but it is not possible to play it. Recently, I downloaded the free version of Adobe Premiere Elements. I thought it might help with a problem I had with Photoshop Elements 8, but it didn't. Then I noticed that when I saved a slideshow in Elements 8 Organizer, that PSESS file no longer went where it used to go.I am running the programs on Windows 10, 64 bit. I wanted to find the file so I could back it up to a USB drive.  I tried to find the new PSESS file by typing the filename in Windows' "Type here to search" box at the lower left of the screen. But that did not work. Why is that? If I remember correctly, even when I went to the C drive and searched for the PSESS file by name, I could not find it. Eventually, I figured out where it was:  it's in C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\My Catalog 1\Projects .  But why did not normal methods of searching for the file find it?  Just curious.

what is a perpetual license? is it a one time fee for a lifetime license? If yes then does Adobe support with updates and fixes? If no then isnt paying a yearly fee the same as a subscription? sorry for the simpleton question but I cannot get a straight answer. 

I purchased Premier Elements and all I can find is how to alter and make videos. I want to work with photos/art. Did I purchase the wrong thing? How to I navigate to a project that's NOT a video?  

Today I did want to edit some GoPro 7 MP4 files in my Adope Premier elements 14.1. Operating system is Windows 10 Home - with all recommended updates. When I try to import the MP4 media I do get hte error message "the importer recorded a generic error" Any fixes, work arounds, updates or other things that could make my Premier Elements 14.1 work with GoPro 7 again?ThanksLars W. 

I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 2018.  I'm attempting to create an ISO disc image.  I've tried creating it in the default location and a few custom locations.  However, when I select "Open folder" after burning - the folder does not contain an ISO disc image or any files at all.  A search of my computer reveals I have no files with the input name of the ISO disc image.  I'm using a Macbook Pro.  I can export the movie as an mp4 without issues.   Adobe spends a while encoding the DVD menu and Assets, then has a menu bar for burning the ISO disc image.  But this doesn't result in anything being saved.  When I try to re-export without restarting the program, it takes a couple seconds before telling me it's exported.  But again, there are no files in the export folder or on my computer at all with the name.  What is going wrong with creating ISO disc images? Is this still an option, or was it removed like burning direc

I am using Premier Elements 2020. I have several clips where the audio is not from the video clip. I have a Christmas morning video clip, but the audio is from the high school graduation clip. The two clips were downloaded months apart and placed on the time line at diffeent times. If I open the clips at any point before I place them on the timeline, the audio and video match. As soon as they reach the time line, the audios are reversed. This same problem has occurred on several previous videos, including videos created with an earlier version of Premier Elements on a different computer. Other Christmas clips and graduation clips in the same video do not have this problem.

Hi together I installed Permiere Elemts 2021 today on my laptop. When I import a clip it looks like the picture I added. When I import the same clip on my other computer with Premiere Elements 2015, everything is fine. I can use auto color, but then I have to render the hole video and it takes a lot of power an time.Can you help me?Pascal

I finished edditing my project, added music (using a mobile phone video screen recorder and leaving only the music to show in the time line), rendered the project and something happened as now the first two minutes of the project appear on poor quality. There is a green line on the time line just above the poor quality section. The rest of the time line has got an orange line and it plays in good quality. All video quality settings look to be on high. Tried multiple things but getting nowhere. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Can I open my Elements for Windows projects in Premiere Pro for either Windows or Mac?

I have recently purchased a new device, a mac device, and I am trying to activate my serial nnumber to use the program on a second device. My first device was a windows, I don't know if this is what is causing the issue. But either way, It tells me that I have an Invalid code. Customer support has told me that I already have the serial number activated on 2 devices, even though I only recently bought a second device. Also, when looking in my account, it tells me that I have no devices activated. I want some kind of resolution without having to delete and deactivate the one and only device that is working. 

I want to use effect mask (blur, pixelate, etc.) for selected time segments ( e.g. time 1-2 min and then 3-4 min) of the video clip. I am NOT going to post any video here, since video & pictures total ~5 Gig, but I do have a summary version with a few pictures   Canon SX510 camera set to record 1280x720 30fps video (plenty of resolution to create a DVD to share with family)   I've just started (back home yesterday) by viewing the 'raw' video clips & pictures and renaming from the generic names assigned by the camera to make daily groups... and will now begin to write titles to introduce each port... Seattle, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, and sometimes individual video or pictures... I know that this topic has been already discussed a few times on this forum. Despite contacting Adobe support about it and trying many different drivers, hardware acceleration still doesn’t work on my computer which is very annoying. People from Adobe support promised to provide an update in order do solve that problem a few months ago but nothing has happened so far. There is definitely some issue here since APE says that Hardware Acceleration is unavailable suggesting lack of appropriate hardware and at the same time I can use GPU acceleration on that hardware (Intel 630). At this stage I’d like to know if this is widespread problem affection most users on Intel processor on Windows 10 (with recent updates) or only very small number of people are affected.
