Premiere Elements

Hello Gals and Guys - I have a short clip that appears to be taken from a VCR.  Periodically during playback there are short segments where some frames increase in brightness.  It's very short, but it kind of appears like it's flashing white.  I played around with the lighting fixes in PSE2021, but did not find anything that worked, but I'm not that skilled yet.  Is there something I can use to fix these flashes?  Thanks for any help.

Hello Guys and Gals - I have Premiere Elements 2021 on my PC. When I open Premiere it typically takes two or three minutes, sometimes longer, before the splash sceen kicks into gear and the program opens.  Is this normal?  I have Premiere on my older slower Mac and it opens much faster, but processes slower.  Is there something I can do to fix this?   Thanks for any help.

I need help moving my license to my new computer.  When I enter the license it says it is invalid.  Yet I can see them on my Adobe account page.

I took a 90 minute long MP4 video on my Samsung Galaxy S10e. I copied it to my desktop, which shows its size as 15,951,763 KB. I opened it in Premiere Elements, trimmed a few minutes off the beginning and end, and saved it. File Explorer shows the edited version's size to be 5,788,171. The amount of time I edited out cannot account for that decrease in size. When I look at the two videos on my monitor, I don't *see* a difference in quality. Has quality been lost? What accounts for that huge change in size? Just trying to understand. And to decide if there's any need to keep the bigger file. Thanks in advance for your explanation.

I couldn't find the work area markers on top of my timeline to define a certain range (e.g. for export).They are gone.How can I restore them? Where can I find them?  

For Adobe Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 7 (32 bit) I tried to import a m4v file. Once it imported it, the video preview window is black. Audio works fine.Why is the preview window black?

When using a piece of music from the internal selection i get 'Can't add score' 'The score cannot be added as some audio files seem to be missing' Any idea's what this is and how to solve please. 

I just installed Premiere Elements 2023 yesterday (I have used previous versions) and the bottoms of all my Timeline markers are visually cut off. It's very hard to select them and I can't right-click them at all. See picture attached. I don't see anywhere I can change the height of the timeline section that contains the markers. Can anyone help? 

Premiere Elements 2023 macbook pro - I've found the shapes tab on the text workspace and assumed this would be so I could put a black rectangle behind my white text to make it more readable but every time I draw a rectangle it's on top of the text.  How do I "page down" or change the stacking order so that the rectangle is behind the text? Also rather than black I'd like the rectangle to be 50% transparent so you can still see the video behind it.The only way I've managed this is to put a .jpg rectangle shape on another video layer that is inbetween the text and video which is very clunky and timeconsuming.  There must be a better way to put background on text? thanks! 

bonjour,quand je fait un remapage ou une extention temporel. dans premiere ellment 2022sur une piste audio et ou video.cela me decale tout  ou une partie de mon métrage, or je veux comble un trou dans mon metrage.acctuellement je doit tout resyncronisé a la main chaque ellements qui suis le passage avec l'extensstion temporel.comment empeche le decalge ? merci

I've been using 2023 Premium Elements daily (I have a YouTube channel and drop videos weekly) without issue since about January, but about 4 weeks Elements wouldn't open. It would hang when loading QuickTime. I submitted a work order ticket to Adobe and it was escalated to 3 levels of technicians. Technicians remoted into my PC over a 2 1/2 week period, trying different things and gathering different logs, but nothing worked. I gave up (& was losing subscribers from not dropping videos) so I just restored my PC back to factory settings and Elements then successfully loaded.  I produced 3 more videos for YouTube, then yesterday, it crashed during the same launch step (QuickTime). I set my pc back to factory again and Elements works again...or at least for now. Something is definitely happening between Windows 11, QuickTime and/or Adobe Premiere Elements. 😞  I can't keep doing a PC factory reset. I hope someone figures it out soon. 😞gail

Using Windows 11, Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023, adobe Premier Elements 2023 and Adobe Organizer 2023. I have over 46,000 items in organizer. Of those, approximately 200 items are video files saved as MP4.Those files are in several folders under the main Video folder. Organizer did not import some of the MP4 files. A message says that the files are in an unsupported format or are damaged. I don't understand this because I think they are the same format. There may be something like a frame rate or other detail of the MP4 that varied.MP$ files that were imported and those not imported were created using the same process. I opened a long MP4 video file and saved small segments to make short duration MP4 files. The suspect files play using using the Windows Media Player. They also can be inserted in a Premier project.  If I import the file directly into Premier and output a new MP4 file, that new file is then recognized by Organizer.Is there an easier solution to get Organizer to

Hello everyone,As the title states, Elements 2022 keeps freezing while exporting videos. The Export and share screen still comes up, and the "Estimated Time" ticker continues to count down, but little to no progress is made for hours. Upon cancelling the export, the program finally greys out and displays the "not responding" error, then shortly, the microsoft reporting message. I am not convinced  that the file size is the issue because in Elements 2021, I was able to successfully export some pretty big files (In excess of 2.5gb). Elements 2022 should be able to handle this without a problem. I have just upgraded from Elements 2021 to Elements 2022. Elements 2021 "doesn't work" when I select the file I wish to edit. 2022 simply freezes. I am not sure the issue is my computer specs because this issue is rather recent and I've only noticed any issues after installing  Elements 2022. Computer specs below:If you need any more specs, please let me know!Computer: Alienwar

why won't my ear pods not work when in the premiere elements app

I have a basic understanding of creating a picture within a picture. Before buying Preniere Elements, I want to determine if what I need to do is possible. There will be a video of a perrson speaking. There will also be PwrPt slide showing graphics. I would like to expand the picture with the slide to permit viewers to see details, then shrink that window back so the presenter is visible with a smaller size picture of the slide. Zooming within the small winddow is not what I need to do.  Preferably, the zoom of the window size is a smooth transition rather than a step. I assume that I could create multiple copies of the slide file and place each in a different size window, but that seems pretty labor intense and would be a step function instead of smooth expansion or contraction transitions.

This program is beyond me. I have all of the specifications that it said it required and the program is barely running. Every time I make a few changes the program stops playing the video. I edited and deleted some programs on my PC which helped a little but now the video will not export. Or this program takes an insane amount of time to export a 50sec video. Please help. This is for a college project and nothing I've read or done has helped. 

I am using Premeire Elements 2020 and Photshop 2023. I am not sure what happned with Photoshop about a month ago, but I can no longer import any PSD files into Elements. I get the "importer reported a generic error" message, which is not at all helpful. Files I created before will still import fine. If I open an old file and resave it, it will not import. I have checked all the colorspaces and I can't find any difference in the files that will and the ones that won't import. If I make a PNG file, that will import fine, but not the native Photoshop file. Can anyone help? 

I'm using premiere elements 2023 and find it annoying the save/export window doesn't remember the folder I have exported other parts of the same project to. Even after saving to project itself to a specific folder, it reverts back to a folder used in a previous session. Only after I save, close the program and then click on the .prel file in the new folder to reopen the project does it remember this folder. Earlier versions didn't behave this way, this feels like a bug.

Am now being asked to input my serial number to log into premiere elements but the serial number is not accepted. How can I fix this problem?

I think I have a corrupted text 'family' that's listed in the Text section.Via a chat with an Adobe staff member, last week, he said I need to uninstall and reinstall the program, but I've also been told that there's a particular way Adobe Premiere Elements needs to be uninstall and reinstalled. Is that true?Here's a link that has screen shots of the issues I'm having. If there's a better way to fix just this problem please share! I'd love to be able to fix just this little text 'family' instead of uninstalling and reinstalling the entire program. Greetings, I'm still discovering the version of premiere elements 2023. I present the following issue without being able to resolve: I have in the timeline in the audio, several lines of audio "graphics" appear as 6. How can I make it look simply 2 (stereo), because to edit the audio to make records and analysis in the current form there are many lines and reduced for analysis. When it is in only 2 lines it is better to see and WIDER for a good edition. my voiceover doesn't work at all... I tried my own mic over audiointerface, and as well the built in mic.no signal.I'm using mac osx (catalina 10.15.7)is there someone who can help me with this?

Bonjour. Au secours ! je travaille sur un fastidieux montage vidéo et j'ai perdu l'affichage "ressources du projet" et n 'ai plus acces au images, audios et vidéos qui constituent mon montage. Les images sont présentes sur le visuel montage (time line) et je peux voir le "rendu".J 'ai acces à "ajouter le média" mais rien ne s'affiche ensuite.Comment retrouver cette fenetre et le déroulement des fichiers et dossiers dans resources du projet svp ?Grand merci d'avance.
