Premiere Elements

My Premier elements 12 will not start. When you click on 'Video editor', New project all I get is the Stripe bar underneath running but nothing else happens and the program will not start.I have tried reinstalling the program form the DVD but still get the same result.Please help.Regards Graham[title edited by mod]

Hey guys I just got Premier elements 2021, and I for the life of me cannot figure out how to unlock an audio track. I edit music videos for fun and have the music on audio one track, but every time I try and put down the edit video, the audio for the video will replace the audio that I have on track one please help

Hi, I want to export just a small clip from a long video to test the right output settings, and while I can see there is an option to "Share WorkArea Bar only", I can't see any way to add this workbar to my timeline...I've found the keyboard shortcut to use CMD+[ but this doesn't seem to work to add it, possibly because I'm using a German keyboard and the [ key requires pressing "alt gr" to access it.I've also searched the PREL manual and while it discusses using the Work Area Bar, it doesn't tell you how to add it!Anyway, this has been frustrating me for the past 20 minutes and I'm hoping someone can help me out!

Hi my elements 2023 stopped working on Windows 11 Pro.I have only starting page  and when i click Video Editor i have a message : Loading Adobe Premiere Elements Editor Workspace...  and it disapearPhotoshop works ok.  I try reinstall etc.  My 2014 version both Ps and Premiere works fine.  How can i get help  there is no live support on www.

Greetings, Just getting started with PE 2022.  I put an m2ts file into PE 2022 but when I play it to edit it in PE 2022 there is not soound.  When I play that file in other programs the sound is fine.  How do I get the sound track into PE 2022?  Do I have to convert it to a differnt file first to edit it with sound? Thank you.

I have downloaded the latest Premiere Elements. I have a new gaming computer running on Windows with all the specs to be able to edit on this program My previous computer with lesser capablities was able to handle it. I had a tech expert go through every option to try to solve the consitent problems. When I import my Go Pro clips to the timeline they tend to playback jittery at the beginning of the clip. If not then when I render then it gets worse Also when I import MP4's from my phone it won't support themIt must be noted by this stage I've scoured a lot of information tried many things Downloaded necessary codecs and spent a lot of time trying to solve this to no avail

I purchased the software combo and have activated Adobe Photoshop.  Now I am trying to use Premiere Elements, but it appears it did not activate with Photoshop.  I only have one redemption code and one serial number.  The serial number works for Photoshop, but not for Premiere Elements.  When trying to use Premiere Elements, I have access to the the first 2 tools, but the Video Editor asks for activation.  Is this normal?  Do I need to purchase something to make the video editor work?

Elements Organizer when loading says bitmap file is missing or is out of date which causes Organizer to not operate properly. I have Premier and Photoshop Elements 2023, starting Organizer from either app has the same problem. Do I uninstall both Apps and reinstall to fix the problem?  Thanks       Charles

I think there should be an option to bypass Home Screen and launch Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements apps directly from desktop. I know there is a way around by creating desktop shortcuts, but not everyone can do it.

Using Premiere Elements 2023: I have multiple video layers, and I am trying to adjust the position and scale of one layer by dragging the "handles" to zoom and reposition. I have a bunch of places I need to do this and other effects -- and I am on a tight deadline.  The problem is when I select Video 1 and click in the window to manipulate the video scale and position, the selection changes to the Video 2 layer and my adjustments are made on the wrong layer even if Video 2 is hidden. I am able to pan and zoom ok, but would prefer to control it with the "frame handles."  I also would like to understand why this is happening so that I understand the software better. Thanks for any tips!

These are the directories where current apps are being installed:C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2023C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2023 I think C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2023 should be changed to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere Elements 2023. I understand it is just cosmatic but it looks more professional. 

I recently upgraded my Premiere Elements from 2015 to the new 2023 version. It all works great until I go to transfer the rendered file (MP4) to a USB stick. The output MP4 file is 10.3GB. It plays just fine, but when I go to transfer to a blank 64GB USB stick, it says there is not enough room on the stick. I formated the stick ahead of time so it is blank. I tried this on 2 computers and I have the same problem. I failed on my Windows 10 desktop. I then archived the project to a USB stick and put it on my new Windows 11 laptop. Same problem. The error said the destination device was not large enough for the file MP4 file being transferred. I'm completely bewildred by this behavior. I believe it must be a Premiere Elements problem, not a Windows file system problem. I can transfer much larger files/folders of various types to and from the same computer and USB stick without a problem.  Any suggestions? Hi,I am a new Premiere Elements user and not particularly tech savvy, though I tried looking through prior posts for ideas. When I try to save a 30 second video with a few clips spliced together, it says "rendering media" and either goes to 2-5% or doesn't go anywhere at all and then sits there indefinitely until I have to manually ctrl+alt+del to shut it down. Per advice in a prior post with a similar issue, I tried a simple video with just two images and it worked fine. Here are the specs of my device: Device name laptopProcessor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1255U 1.70 GHzInstalled RAM 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorPen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display It is relatively new and has 379 GB free. I am open to any suggestions/advice to solve this. I was having a bizarre problem where one of my clips on an upper layer (that I was keyframing the opacity and motion as an overlay) started picking up data/video images from the clip below and also from other clips not in that section of the timeline. I tried deleting and reloading the clip, renaming, and all kinds of other things too numerous to list or to remember. The solution: reboot computer. I tried opening and closing the program but that did not solve the problem. Posting in case someone else has this problem.

I was stupid enough to update my IOS a while ago. I have many Premier Elements projects and also finished projects, and now I am unable to open any of my files. It's about time Adobe fix this problem asap, or I consider a refund for a useless product. Thank you 😒

Hi, as the title says, how can I turn off auto updates in Premiere Elements? I couldn't run the program and only got a popup that said updates were installing, try later. No progress bar or further information. That was pretty annoying. I don't want the program to ever do this again, if possible. Thanks!

I dragged the "motion title" shown below to my timeline, but I can't figure out how to modify the background.  (and I'm not even sure what the difference is between "background" and "graphics" in this.)  Both "background" and "graphics" adjustments say to "select background from monitor to enable background editing", or similar for the graphics.  I can't figure out anything I can select that lets me do anything.  Clicking around, I can select at least 4 or 5 different things in the title area, but none of them make anything show up in the adjustments panel other than the "select background from monitor..." message I mentioned above.  What in the world do I select in order to change what appears behind my text for this title?  All I really want to do is change it so the title text appears on a solid colored background of my choice.  Why is this SO HARD to do? 

Hi there,I have built up a long video which I have splitted in multiple subvideos.It's a tennis video in which I fade to the next exercise after the exercises. I mostly use the "soft fade" transition here. Now it is often the case that Premiere Elements does not seem to recognize the transition of the two scenes and does not place the crossfade exactly in the middle, but on one of the two scenes. This then often results in a problem in the final video, namely that the transition is not clean but a bumpy "jitter", sometimes you can see the black background. Here is a screenshot from Premiere Elements and how this transition looks like in the final video.How can I prevent this? What is going wrong? I have the problem with about 10 of 120 scenes. Best regards,Martin

Hi, I am using Premier Elements 18.  When I try to add a transition (for example, Cross Dissolve) I sometimes cannot set the duration to 0.  1 second is the lowest it goes.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  My clips are very short so the 1 second duration makes the video blurry because the transition is too long. Is there a better way to work with very short (3 - 5 second) clips?Thanks for any help on this,Novice...

I've added an adjustment layer with several effects to "video 2" so it will cover my entire video. While in premiere elements the video looks great so I use the "candid moments" feature to extract pics but the pics are only from the video and do not reflect effects I've put in adjustment layer. Wir erstellen viele Stop-Motion-Videos dazu haben wir APE14 auf Windows zu APE23 upgegradet.Auf Mac haben wir noch APE22...In der Version 14 und 22 werden die Fotos wie von uns auch gewünscht automatisch nach Name sortiert.In der Version 23 aber nicht mehr.  Die Sortierung ist komplett willkürlich wenn man mehrere Ordner importiert und ist somit leider komplett unbrauchbar diese Version. Leider finden wir keine Sortier-Möglichkeit.Gibt es eine Möglichkeit die Version 23 auf 22 downzugraden?Oder gibt es die Sortier-Möglichkeit irgendwo? Die Umstellung im Organizer oder Ähnlichem bringt keine Besserung.

Hi I was curious does elements happend to have a source monitor?

I use Adobe Premiere Elements 10 and had some work done on my PC recently. I know that this involved some work on the graphics card (s) because the technician mentioned this at the time. I have two graphics adapters: AMD Radeon HD 6570Intel (R) HD Graphics FamilyI had saved a project prior to this work but this is now pretty unviewable. All of the clips jerk and shudder and even when I select a single clip to open and view in the Clip Monitor the same distortion occurs. The clips are fine (they're stored on the PC and not some other disk) and can be viewed in generic software such as Windows Media Player etc.I've tried everything but cannot resolve.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Should I just go back to the technician?
