Premiere Elements

I just revently purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 2022 and it along with Windows 11 are up to date.  When I go to retrieve my edited videos, I receive the following message, "An unknown error occurred while opening the project.  You may want to open auto-saved version of the project from 'Adobe Premiere Elements Auto-Save' folder.  This, also, has not worked for me

When I load a video into Premiere elements 2022, hit play button, get spinning disc, video plays but now loops and cannot stop/pause or interrupt in any way. 

This is related to the use of ADOBE Premiere ELEMENTS (14.0).On play back I notice that I wanted to have the background option to change it from black to white since I am placing various small clip on the stage which black does not work for me. So, how do I change the black backdrop stage (when the video plays) to white backdrop stage so when it plays back the scene is white and not black?

Several weeks ago I started editing video, using premier elements. Today, I tried to open that same project up, in premier elements, and keep getting an error. "This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed". What's silly, is the file was created in the program and won't let me open it.  I've tried some older files, that I was able to open in the past and get the same error.     [Moderator note: this seems to be Premiere Elements rather than Premiere Pro, moved to the correct forum.]

Hi, I have just started with Premiere Elements 2022 on a Windows 11 PC. Every time I open a project, I have to redo a setting that is not carried over from the previous session:  uncheck the display of the Audio Tracks.  I am working with a video film that has no sound and it's easier to work with when the audio tracks are not displayed. Am I missing something?  Can the project be opened with this setting in whatever state it was in when the project was last closed?  This is not a "biggee," but making the setting persistent would be nice to have.

Hallo zusammenIch nutze Premiere Elements 2020 und konnte bisher Videos vom Iphone importieren. Jetzt bekomme ich die Meldung "Allgemeiner Fehler beim Importieren" und kann diese Videos nicht mehr verwenden. Gibt es eine Lösung für dieses Problem?

Hi everyone... super quick question. I've got a stop motion video that is entirely shot in landscape mode. I'd like to make a quick trailer to promote it but need to do it in portrait mode. I can't seem to find any way to do this. Is it possible in Adobe Premiere Elements?Thanks!

I am unable to open premiere elements 2020, it says update required.  I am using Windows 11.  Everything was working fine until today. Hope you can help Melanie

I've been using APE 17 for a while and on my old computer I had no issues with the aspect ratio as everything was as it should be. Since I've moved to another computer and reintalled APE 17 I've started to notice that no matter what video I put into the project, the aspect ratio stays at a constant 1920x1080 which leaves my videos with blank space on the sides of them. To my understanding APE is supposed to change the aspect ratio according to the videos frame size, but this doesn't seem to be happening even if I start a completely new project. Is there anything I'm possibly missing as to why this is happening? Or am I misunderstanding how this whole thing should work? First image shows the settings in APE 17 while second image shows the properties of the test clip I'm using. 

I was having issues with Premiere Elements 2022 hanging, so I hoped that a re-install would help (spoiler alert - it didn't).  When I re-installed, it was at version 20.0, and still is.  How can I get it to update to 20.2 again?  BTW: My original issue was running out of memory (RAM).  I had 8GB installed, but have now upgraded to 32GB.

Hello, I am so green it's not even funny but here it goes. I recently purchased a GoPro 10 and filmed some 2k/120fps videos on it. I bought and installed Premiere Elements 2022 hoping to edit said videos. Once the load bar comes up for adding media, it just stops. No progress and no response from the app. I have to force quit from task manager to get out of the screen. I have tested other media with a lower resolution and fps which works fine. I'm sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere. I have a hard time believing this program can't handle the footage. Is there something i'm missing?

Hallo,wie kann ich bei Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 einstellen, dass beim rüberziehen eines Clips von den Projektelementen in das Schnittfenster nur eine Tonspur von dem Clip angezeigt wird und keine 6.Bei Adobe Premiere Elements 2014 klappt das mit dem gleichen Clip sehr gut und bei Elements 2021 zeigt es schon beim rüberziehen ins Schnittfenster 5 Tonspuren mehr an. Wäre schön, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte. Danke. 

I have the "split scenes" box checked when capturing from old hi8 tapes, but it's still just capturing the whole tape as one two-hour file.  Is there another setting somewhere that makes it capture as individual scenes?the tapes are a bunch of different scenes from different times.  I know I've gotten it to record a bunch of different .a i clips before but can't remember how.... thanks!  tomadobe premiere elements 9 (I know, it's old) 

The colors are all wrong. I've deinstalled, reinstalled, rebooted many times. I didn't have this problem with Premiere Elements 14. See attachments.

I am new to Premiere and am having issues with the clip snapping (I hope that's what it is called) feature of Premiere Elements 15. It worked when I started making my video, but now, there is no clip snapping at all. How do I turn this feature back on? Thank you ahead of time.

I had worked on some projects with the trial version of Premiere Elements 22 and when I purchased the full version I can no longer access them, nor can I use Elements really at all. Anytime I load in an old project or upload media, my screen goes black and when it comes back on I'm left with what you see here. No ability to edit, view, or export my stuff.

I am working on a video where I want to have some of my images and videos transitions back and forth. I can achieve this by using the Opacity effect but it's including a fade in and fade out which I do not want.  How do I turn off fades? Are there extra key frames I am missing/not doing? Or is there a different effect that I should be using? 

Hallo,mein unter Win10 laufendes Programm Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 (vers. 19.0) zeigt bei der Überblendung zwischen 2 clips Teile des dort entfernten clips. In einer Videoaufzeichung ist mir ein Radfahrer durchs Bild gefahren. Diesen habe ich rausgeschnitten und den Übergang von einem zum anderen clip per Überblendung gestaltet. Die "weiche Blende" zeigt transparente Teile des Radfahrers, der Übergang "Wegdrehen" zeigt Teile eines "gequetschen" Radfahrers. Ich habe weitere Frames der Clips entfernt, es hat sich aber nichts wesentlich geändert. Der Übergang ist oben über der letzten Spur unter der Zeitleiste mit einem orangen Strich gekennzeichnet. Keine Ahnung, was das bedeutet. Was muß ich machen, um den Radfahrer komplett zu entfernen?Danke für Hinweise

Hi. I want to take a section from the middle of a video and save it for later use separately from the video it came from. I can highlight the section using the scissors but can't find a way of saving it - is this possible in Elements 2022? Can't find a tutorial video to help - they all seem to focus on deleting such clips rather than saving them.

Hi, as described in subject, I do not have "vibrance" option in "Color" section. Does anyone know what is going on? Thank you in advance.

I will start by saying I am not tech savy.. so here we go.  Since late April PE 2021 has stopped being able to export my videos. Upon starting the export, I will see the time countdown start and the percentage bar will move (sometimes stay stuck at zero, sometimes go up to 38% before freezing) until finally the percentage bar stops moving and the time countdown does a steady countdown to 5 seconds and stops.  I've tried moving the source files, unlinking and linking again, with no success. Going through my timeline the program really struggles with rendering animated titles (and sometimes freezes and I have to force quit). I tried disabling them all, however export would still freeze.  I went back to the last project I exported (that worked) on April 18th, and without changing anything tried to export today and still it barely gets started and then freezes. I have been using video from various devices (cellphone, gopro, drone) all in one project, and have

Lately I haven't been able to export videos once I am finished making them.  Big or small, rendered...it doesn't seem to matter.  I have enough memory so that's not an issue.  There isn't an error...it just never gets past 1 or 2 % completed.  But it will count down to 5 seconds remaining.  If I can't resolve this issue then I can't use this software anymore.  Can anyone help?

I have a new Surface Laptop 4 and I'm getting random green digital pixels throughout my videos in PE.  The videos are from my GoPro Hero 9 and are 4K H264 and are fine when viewed with any other viewer outside of PE.  I've updated all my graphics drivers and any driver for my Surface 4 laptop including the firmware.  My Intel Iris Xe graphics card is on the PE compatibility list.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled PE.  I've googled and searched for hours, with no solution.  This is not the normal green lines, it's more of digital pixelation, see screenshot.
