Hi forum. For some reason my render times (and playback in AE) has had an enormous performance drop from yestersay til today? I have tried the good-old restart but result is the same.Has anybody else encountered this? Yesterday my comp took 15 mins to render in AME, today i had cancel the render atempt after an hour reaching maybe 10-20% to do other work tasks..My machine setup is WIN11, RTX3080, and ryzen9, if that has anything to do with it?/Daniel
I'm running into a brand new problem today. When I'm importing clips into my Premiere project bin, Media Encoder will suddenly launch and begin queuing this clip to copy it. This has never happened before. In fact, it copied SEVERAL clips in the background until I closed another window and noticed this. Have I accidentally made a setting adjustment?I am an Adobe CC subscriber to the full suite and All of my apps are up to date. My editing system OS is Win7 64bit.Anyone have any suggestions, theories, or answers? Thanks in advance.
Help! I'm completely at a loss here and I'm in the middle of an aggressive international delivery schedule. I've been tasked with taking 29.97 animation (don't ask my why it's 29.97, it should be 23.98) and turning it into 25fps footage without altering the run time. Naturally, this means that 1 in 5 frames will be erased. I expect that any halfway decent QC analysis by broadcasters and larger platforms will catch it and flag for QC Fail. So, is there a way to transcode 2997 to 25 without changing run time AND without introducing stutter or frame blending artifacts? AND, without changing the speed or pitch of the audio? I've heard Twixtor might be able to do this? Is that right? Or perhaps, Alchemy File? Or are they asking for the impossible here? I'm leaning towards this being impossible. All help appreciated. And hopefully, I get a few responses quickly 🙂
Working on Windows 10 with 2 projects, one of which was shot on Canon C70 with Zoom H4N as audio. The 4K files from C70 aren't usable in PrPro. They won't even play in VLC. Here's properties of one of the C70 files:3840x2170 / Dr: 216312kbps, FrRt 50.00, BitRt 255kbps, Chan: 2(stereo), Audio samp: 48000kHz I'm using Adobe Media Encoder (ME), which creates a 1920x1080 for editing:1920x1080, Dr: 21238kbps, FrRt 50.00, BitRt 320kbps, Chan: 2(stereo), Audio samp: 4800kHz The resultant video performance is fine - but the audio is either not there, or so faint it can't be heard. I've tried many variations in Media Encoder, restarted the machine, made sure track targeting is set, adjusted the gain, verified the PC audio works with other (2nd project) clips (from a BlackMagic and Zoom F6). The project audio from Canon C70 will be secondary - most of the time. But there are some missing H4N audio files I was hoping to be able to cover with C7
I just got a new computer; imac 5k retina Catalina 10.15.4, 128GB RAM, Radeon Pro Vega 48 8 GB. I have a video that's been sloooooowly rednering on AME 2020 for the past 48 hours. Its 55min in length, H.264, and heavy on the effects. It was rendering fairly fast at first (I estimated it'd finish in 4-5 hours), but it got increasingly slower and now its at a crawl. I know effects can add to the render time. But is this normal? I've rendered similar videos in the past on my old computer that only took 8 hours.
When I use Media Encoder 15.4.5 (2021) to convert a DNxHD36 .mov file to H264, I get a moving, green .mov icon moving on the screen. Does anyone know how to fix that? I'm on a MacBook Pro 13" Late 2015, OS 10.14.6. Yes, I will be getting a new computer with ME 2023; but in the meantime.... I would reinstall ME 15.4.5, but it's no longer available in Creative Cloud.
A lot of times i have to work with MKV format videos, but no one of the adobe sofware support it, what i have to do is convert in web pages or another software, would be nice if adobe team make updates regarding to this topic.
I work in social media advertising and make a lot of HD square videos. I am having problems with videos that are in square format defaulting to be VR. I deselect it in Premiere and then export it to Media Encoder and it pops up as VR and I have to deselect the option to make it VR. Sometimes videos that are not selected as VR compatible are being detected by FB as being VR Compatible even when those options are not selected as such. This is causing a lot of delays. Is anyone else aware of this bug?
I've been banging my head against this for a while. I have a folder of 250 pngs that I'd like to convert into a movie, they're all the same dimensions, but in the Media browser they're all listed as being 5 seconds long, so when imported as a stitched clip the output video comes up as 20 minutes or so.Is there a way to remove the time information from the input so they're just 'normal' still images?
Hi!Since version 23 (also 23.0.1) i can export with software only and not hardware acceleration. On my intel mac and also on my M1 mac.I'm the only one?
Is it possible to cut a part of the sound from a song like Audition?
Does anyone know how to encode a transparency (alpha) MP4 video with H265 HEVC codec? At the moment (May 2023) Adobe software does not seem to support the feature. Currently, I am exporting a ProRes444 MOV transparent video to Apple Compressor to export an HEVC H265 MOV that can be used on the web. But ideally, I need the mp4 wrapper for the website. Is there a third-party plug-in for Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder???
Hi,It seems obvious, but actually carries a lot of routine. Yes, it is possible to move clips in the queue with the mouse, but it is hardly possible without a mouse. I have a typical situation: often hundreds of clips are in the queue for encoding and suddenly an urgent task arrives. Of course it becomes the last one. How can we quickly move it to the top of the queue or assign it to the next one after the current one, without holding the mouse for a long time while the list is crawling? It seems there must be some hotkeys: move the task above, below, to the beginning, to the end. I probably don't have enough experience. Any hints please.
Inside of Premiere Pro I have the option enabled to automatically create proxies whenever I put in new video footage and it works really nice. But can I somehow tell Media Encoder to not open up in the foreground while doing this and then automatically close the application again after finishing the proxy? That would be awesome and such a timesaver overall!
Hi there, I am a Multimedia Production Student and have been using Premiere Pro and Media Encoder for 6 years now. As I am preparing to move to freelance I am finding myself regularly having to transcode large amounts of footage, for example from H.265 to Prores. I am growing more and more frustrated with how little CPU and GPU capacity is used when transcoding. Currently I am looking at a max. utilization of 44% on CPU and around 25% on GPU, no matter what I do. It's definitely not storage speed related, everything is running off of internal PCIE SSDS or external drives with over 400MB/s transfer speeds. What's most frustrating is that transcoding in Resolve 18 Maxes out my system resources in similar transcodes. Am I doing something wrong or is Media Encoder still this poorly optimized? Thank you for your inputs and experiences.
I have the latest version of ME but it crashes immediately upon opening. I used to get the dialog box telling me it crashed, but now it just disappears and drops a .crash file on my desktop. Hi, it is very frustrating that Adobe Media Encoder doesn't have the option to convert an mkv video to other formats. When is going to be available this option?
I have a lot of videos that are taken along and that is not good for meHow I turn the video 90 degrees as easily as you can do other conversion software but not qualityI use Premiere occasionally but it's a complicated trickI would be happy with you to add an option or teach me how to do it in Media Encoder
Hi thereFirst off, Ive emailed Quvis quite a few times , filled out a contact form, and also have posted to their Facebook page, and I have called them a number of times, even though Im based in UK and it wont be cheap to call the USA!! So, I have tried many many times to contact someone who can help. I am hoping that someone here can offer advice , or better still actually provide a working contact for Quvis. Ive paid upfront for the Wraptor Pro version. Here's the problem:Basically, since we started using PP/AME and making DCP's it doesnt matter if you select your content to be a short, trailer, or whatever- it always ends up in the Features section of a cinema server. This was never the case before on MacOs Wraptor Pro. Something isnt right.Secondly, when selecting a 1920x1080 output, it says 'C' in the naming convention (Full Container) which again , isnt right.I'm sure these must be easy fixes? The actual content on screen is correct, but it looks amateurish and explain
Dear Community. When I export a file using the ARD-ZDF HDF02a-1.1 Profile preset the MXF file has (among others) the following meta data (in MediaInfo): Color range : Limitedcolour_range_Original : FullThe file itself is encoded in "Legal Range" (like every common YUV encoded strem), but FFmpeg for example seems to interpret these files als "Full Range" (Premiere, Resolve are fine). As a result, all trancodes are "wrong" (lifted blacks/lower highlights). The "_Original" flags are the one from the stream, the tags witout the "_Original" are the flags of the container as far as I know.Where does the "_Original" flag come from? In my test the source was a ProRes (444 and 422HQ) file (Legal Range).Of course I am able to fix this issue during transcoding in FFmpeg, but sometimes I don't have the choice. To sum up: is the "colour_range_Original : Full" correct and necessary on ARD-ZDF HDF02a-1.1 Profile files?
I have been successfully using Clips Exporter for several months as a quick and convenient way to export multiple clips with the exported file name being the name of the clip – but a major problem has occurred in the last few days between Premier Pro 2023 and Media Encoder 2023.Now, when I export more than 10-15 clips at the same time, my Windows 11 system memory usage goes from about 45% to 100% until Premiere Pro crashes due to memory problems caused by memory usage at 100%.This only happens when I export to AME. If I export to Premiere Pro directly there's no problem. This means I have a clumsy workaround – but not having AME is a MAJOR impact on productivity! Memory usage for all Adobe products is set to 50% of my available 64GB of memory. Clearly, this limit has been exceeded since running this software combination is using up ALL 64 GB of memory. I've also had the memory usage for all Adobe products set to 75% and had the same problem. In the past, I have easily bee
why MKV format file isn't supported by Adobe because if it was, it would save us and we are wasting our time to convert it to another format that is supported by Adobe.
Hi all,When converting a 1920x1080 video to h.264 at 400x224 800kbps avg, 1mbps max the quality of the conversion is insanely poor compared to other encoders. Text in particular becomes blotchy, soft and/or excessively low contrast. When using other encoding programs with the same setting the text quality is far more crisp and distinct. Quality in general is much better. Anyone have any ideas on how to improve ME quality when exporting to a very small video size like this? Does ME just not do tiny video size well or is there something I'm missing?Any suggestions are appreciated.
