Why whenever I press "Replace with After Effects composition", in After Effects it then tells me to change Color Space to Rec 709 Gamma 2.4?And then when I switch to Rec 709 Gamma 2.4 the colors are totally off and are different between Premiere And After Effects which is the opposite of what I want.And if I let working color space to: "None", colors are completely fine.Do I have to deal with that panel popping up telling me to switch color space every time I open up a new composition?Why does it tell me to change color space if it makes my colors look worse?And if that wasn't enough, on my Macbook it completely crashes out my app because of it lol

Hello! I have to animate this groovy waves for a video and would like some ideias on what to do. I thought about using wave warp and turbulent displacement to give it some movement, but didn't like the result so much, it feels too linear and samey. This waves are made of big parts and some small creases, and i couldn't replicate this with displacement or wave warp. Is there a trick to do this? Do i need to animate it more like 2D animation? Any help is appreciated. 

I am using multiple shapes inside a shape layer, and each shape has a trim path assigned to it. I am trying to move one of the shape path's vertices, but the answer provided here:Move vertexes of a mask around doesn't work in this case.Here is the shape layer set-up:Here is the way it looks in the composition layer with "Path 1" selected in the timeline layer:And here is the way it looks when I click the vertex:The bounding box appears, and all the vertices are selected, but I can only move the shape as a whole and not by individual vertices. It is the same whether I shift-click or just regular click.Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have not used After Effects or Premiere Pro for about two months. The software is completely updated. I opened After Effects to import some clips for what I thought would be some quick work. Unfortunately, After Effects was behaving erratically; it told me that it would have to disable 3d because my video card was not compatible. It then failed to load or display clips added to a composition and then crashed. I assumed, as has happened so often in the past, that I needed to update my graphics drivers. I updated my drivers, restarted the system, and ran After Effects. Same startup complaint; now, however, After Effects crashes immediately upon importing a clip. I uninstalled all of my plugins. I uninstalled After Effects and reinstalled. Same issue. I ran After Effects in Safe Mode. Different error number, same issue.  I am using two nvidia Titan RTX video cards connected via NVLink, each with 24gb of VRAM. My system has 128gb of RAM.

My after effects trim pahts is not working. Can you give me advice on how to fix it? Thank you

Instalé la nueva versión de After effects 25.3.1, y desde eso no puedo abrir ningún proyecto, inicia la apertura del proyecto y al llegar al 58% se bloquea y "no responde",  probé en modo seguro y tampoco. También probé instalar versiones más antiguas y sigue sin funcionar.por favor no quiero perder todos mis proyectos 🙏

I was trying to follow a tutorial elsewhere for animating the drawing of a circle using a trim path on a hand-drawn vector circle I drew. The tutorial only says, "add a Trim Path from the Add menu." I typed in "trim path" into the help search bar in AE, and I cannot find any "Trim Path" option anywhere. Can someone help me find this? I'm using After Effects version 14.2.1.34 on a Macbook Pro running OS X El Capitan.

I have recently transfer my after effects from amcbook to drive. However my mocha plugin is not shifted to the drive i need to know where i should exaclty paste the mocha folder in drive so it can be use that.

Hello All, apologies if this has been covered but I can't seem to find an existing post with this specific issue. I have created a composition which includes png files that I move using the puppet pin tool. I then try to replace the png in the composition with a similar sized one but it is not taking in the project, and especially not taking the edits and effects on the original file such as puppet pin movement etc. Can this be achieved at all? Could it be done via scripting? 

Hey guys i have ryzen 5 3600 and gtx 1660 supermy adobe softwares like after effect / premier pro / illustrator lags a lot and most of the times crashes while in lag what can i do it used to work fine but now days its been happening i tried multiple fixes like deleting temp files reinstalling adobe installed studio driver can someone help me find the issuethank you

The app patches an .aepx project file with correct data and then needs to render a specific comp from that project.I know I can trigger renders using aerender.exe, but I have two main challenges: Populate AE Output Modules in UII need to programmatically load After Effects’ output module presets (codecs and settings, e.g., H.264, ProRes, etc.) into my app’s UI so users can select their desired codec. Is there a way in AE 2025+ to query or export this list without launching the AE GUI?Render without opening AE UIAfter the user selects a codec, I want to start rendering from the command line — ideally using aerender or another supported headless method — so the AE GUI never launches.Questions:How can I fetch the available AE output module presets programmatically (2025+)?What’s the best supported way to trigger rendering of a specific comp from an .aepx via command line, fully headless?Is there any modern API

Hey Yall Im having trouble figuring out how to add a keyframe, fill to this clip. where at the end it fills with color, I can get it keyframed with a solid color but I'm having trouble blacking out the 3 spaces in the middle of the logo... Hey all, I was wondering if anyone had any tutoails or guidence they can send my way. I have been watcing a few red giant turoals but I was not sure if there was a better toolset or plugin to look into. Or ateast get somewhat close to the effect 

I'm currently rendering a shot. Tons of FXs so it is taking a while. I accidentally pressed the spacebar and AE switched from the Render Queue panel to a Comp Timeline. EA is still rendering but I can't see the progress bar or the time remaining. How can I switch back to the Render Queue panel? I tried hitting the spacebar but it does nothing. Help, please. I'm using After Effects v18.4.1 because of some compatibility issues.

Hallo,ich schreibe bewusst auf Deutsch, da ich ein deutschsprachiges After Effects habe und leider keine Idee habe, wie die Bezeichnungen der Tools auf Englisch heißen. Vielleicht liest ein netter Mensch mit, der ebenfalls ein deutschsprachiges After Effects hat und sich besser auskennt als ich. Ich möchte gerne zu Weihnachten eine 3D-Animation erstellen, bei der Weihnachtsgeschenke (vielleicht so 15 Stück) explosionsartig erscheinen und durch die Luft fliegen. Ich bin komplette AE Anfängerin und habe mir mit Chat GPT eine Anleitung erstellen lassen. Leider will es trotzdem nicht klappen. Ich habe Particle World gewählt, habe mit Alt die Geschenke dupliziert, habe sie unter Texture auch zumindest eines ausgewählt. Es bewegt sich rein gar nichts. Explosion habe ich eingestellt und auch Texture Square. Velocity 3, Gravity 0. So wie es mir die KI gesagt hat. Gemini hingegen behauptet, es würde ohne ein Plugin nicht klappen, leider ist dies kostenpflichtig und ich kann es mir überhaup

I’m on version 25.4 and was able to import QuickTime (MP4) videos from a coworker yesterday,  they screen recorded them on their iPad. But when I try to import MP4s recorded on my own iPad, After Effects gives me the error: “The source compression type is not supported and this ‘MooV’ file is damaged or unsupported." The videos aren’t corrupted, they play fine in QuickTime and Preview.  When I tested the same files in After Effects 24, they imported without any issues. Does anyone know what’s causing this and how to fix it? 

Here is the problem guys while editing in after effects, AE doesn'nt use my gpu at all, I have to constantly switch from mercury GPU accleration (OpenCL) to Mecury software only cause when i switch to mercury GPU accleration (OpenCL) an pop up appers that says your gpu is out of memory when its not even using 1gb og video memory and the rendering time is horriable it takes 15+ hrs to render an 17sec clip, If you know the solution please help and I use intel arc a750 gpu if you wanna know.

In one comp I already use Null A to drive the size/scale of a group of elements. I also need a Null B to control the opacity of many layers (bars, logos, etc.) without: pre-composing those layers, orpick-whipping opacity one by one (sometimes 50+ links).Ideally, I could bulk-link multiple layers’ opacity to a single controller (null/effect controller), with a quick way to (re)connect/disconnect layers, and have it coexist with the existing parenting for Scale (a kind of “multi-control”: parenting for Scale + global controller for Opacity).An explanatory video is attached to the ticket to show the current setup and the desired outcome. video explanatory and desire result 

In After Effects, I animate bars (shape layers) with Trim Paths to change their length. I want a logo (or a null) to automatically follow the bar’s tip, with no manual Position keyframes. I’m looking for a native or expression-based solution to fetch the path tip position according to Trim Paths (End/Start) and attach the logo there (ideally with matching orientation/tangent).Goal: I only adjust Trim Paths (or bar size) and the logo instantly follows the bar’s end. video explanatory and desired results  

I have Adobe Creative cloud, and I downloaded Adobe Animate, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Adobe Media Encoder on my MacBook Air.And everything that I downloaded seem to work perfectly fine except for After Effects!When I tried to open After Effects, an error popped up saying, "After Effects warning: Metadata Browser is missing." So I clicked 'ok' but then another error popped up saying, "After Effects can't continue: The Common Extensibility Platform (CEP) suite couldn't be loaded. You may need to reinstall." Then the software quit on itself and said "After Effects can't continue: unexpected failure during application startup"I didn't know what Metadata Browser or CEP was, but I did what it told me to do and I uninstalled After Effects then reinstalled it. Then I tried to reopen it but it didn't work and the same things popped up again. So I kept reinstalling it, I tried to turn off my computer then reinstalling it, I tried to reinstall both After Effect
