Is there a way to remove the play button and autoplay HTML content for Captivate 2024?

I am building in 12.3.I have 4 images in a row with text beneath. I've animated the images to slide in, the text under the image slldes in just after the image. There is a voice over which gives a bit more detail to the text under the images. I did have individual voice overs for each bit of text, but in the preview it was hit and miss whether it would work. So I have spent the afternoon, making one voice over per slide and positioning the animation to fit with the voice over. It worked a treat 2 hours ago, however I've just checked my file and it's hit and miss as to whether the images and text appear when they should or if they even appear at all.I have a deadline and I really need it to work, what is going wrong?I'm viewing in Microsoft Edge.Thank you for any help that you can give me.

After installing the new version of Captivate, I am not able to create a new file anymore.It gets an infinit loading screen, without any chance to continue. Nevertheless I am still able to load existing Files, which gives me an workaround using an empty save file and start working there. Unfortunately it breaks the entire Software Simulation Tool. I can do the screenrecording, but the moment I press 'end' and it tries to put it in Captivate an error occurs. (attached) Thanks in advance for any advice!  

One of my files displays an error message that says, "The saved zip file might get corrupted, you should try creating the zip again." It happens every single time I save the file. I have no idea why, I am not "zipping" anything. I am saving the file on an external drive. I have to close 40-50 of these windows with that message (with ignore, debug, and kill options) every single time I save the file. I have eventually to combine these sides into another larger cpt file but I'm afraid to do it cuz I don't wanna corrupt the larger file. Can someone tell me what's happening and if there is something I can do to fix it?

Hello I am not a regular user of Captivate so I am inexperienced and need adviceI have a whole course module comprising of all the video demonstrations and simulations for each learning outcome for that module.  e.g. Module 6 - 8 learning outcomes Rather than have everyone complete every learning outcome I want to have a slide on the module where they click on their job role e.g. Nurse and then progress through ONLY the learning content applicable to that role e.g. Nurse slides 1 ,2 ,5 and 6.HCA slides 1,2 and 4. The trouble is they when branching, I can't group a slide twice i.e. I can't add slide 1 to the Nurse group and the HCA group. I don't want to duplicate the slides at that will make the course huge. Am I trying to use branching for something it is not intended to do? Thank you   

Hi everyone, my Pc was broken so I bought new one. When I wanted to install my old captivate 2017 with my licence number, I couldn't, it said that the licence was revoked. Does anyone know  how can I install my old captivate again.? I had bought that licence. Thanks

Dear Community,While I work with Adobe Support on this issue (see below), I'm posting here as well.  Perhaps someone has experienced a similiar issue when updating their New Adobe Captivate to the recently-launched version (12.3) and can provide me with some guidance/insight. Since updating to the 12.3 version, my project files are not opening properly.  The software program buffers and then generates the following error message ("An unexpected error has occurred, which may cause Captivate to behave unexpectedly. You can restart Captivate with backed-up project.").  I have tried but cannot figure out how to restart my project with the BAK files.  I tested it out with a work colleague of my mine; they can open the same project file on their computer.  They did not update their Captivate to the latest 12.3 version. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall a fresh version of Adobe Captivate.  However, the fresh online version seems to be wi

For those others of you that still linger, I have two small lines of javascript that you might enjoy.They allow you to have one actionscript that can control the action of many buttons. I was receiving the  "Swf compilation failed. Note: Please verify any of the actionscript keywords is used as user variable name."  message. So I uninstalled Captivate, restarted the computer, installed a new download file. 2019 Release - version 11.8.1.219 - I start the program, choose a blank project, press the F12 key, the program goes through the process and then shows the above error message.On a Windows 10 Pro for Workstations, version 22H2 OS 19045.3086Please help 

I cancelled my last subscription earlier this month (April 2024) and got the confirmation email saying that the subscription would end on the 13th. It is the 24th now and when I went to check my bank account I noticed that I was charged not once, but twice this month, on the 18th and the 23rd both of which were $20.88. I tried to see if I could just remove my card information from my account, but I couldn't find it, and my account doesn't show that I have any acctive plans/subscriptions, so I called the customer support number, but they didn't help at all. I thought for a moment if I should just delete the account, but I fear that may not wok and end up making it harder to resolve the problem. So, now I'm here and any help would be much appericiated.

Just downloaded a trial of Captivate 12.3.0.12.1) Upon installing (Windows 10), it launched... Internet Explorer?How and why? Why would Adobe hardcode that in instead of simply obeying my configured default web browser setting in the OS like a well-behaved app?2) The initial window that appeared alongside the blast-from-the-past IE was too big to fit in my laptop display and *could not be resized*. That made navigating the window nigh impossible.Once I created a new project the rogue unresizable window was replaced with the project window, which can be resized. But still. Adobe: we live in a diverse world of many screen resolutions, and other apps seem to work with that. Why doesn't Captivate?

I've inserted .mp3 audio onto my slides, and each slide has a bookmark at the end of the timeline with an interaction to go to the next slide.  So from the user's perspective, slide one plays, then immediately loads slide two, etc. No pausing. No intervention from the user. But. The first 2-3 words of each slide begin to play again at the end before it changes to the next slide. I've added an additional interaction to Stop Media, and I've extended the slide time out beyond the duration of the audio. The Loop checkbox for the audio is NOT selected. Still does it.  Any thoughts on how I can fix this?  

For Adobe Captivate Classic Version 11.8.2, is there any dark mode/ light mode feature or setting is available to add in the courses. IF yes, how to add that. If no, Is there any tutorial or source which can help me to implement dark mode/ light mode button. Thanks in advance.

Hi there!I'm creating a test for my client, but when you click next button every time appears message for correct or incorrect answer. I think that I can hide these messages thru Components-> Caption, but the chechbox is unable to uncheck.Could you please help me with this issue?

Unable to open Captivate File I have been working on. When opened, a Update Missing Fonts window displays. I click replace fonts and it starts to process but than the file and Captivate close unexpectantly. Same thing happened opening another file. I opened several more files and they worked fine (without the Update Missing Fonts window), which leads me to believe the first two files may be corrupted somehow. I did the same thing with the backups of first two files and got the same results with Captivate closing. Any ideas on what's going on here?

I have strange problem with my Adobe captivate, when I am trying to import specific edited version of the audio it is importing the entire audio from where the edited audio has been taken. I don't know what is causing this issue, I renamed the audio and copied it to another folder as well. Still its not resolving the issue. I have edited the audio using audacity. Can anyone please help.

Hi all!I need some assistance in captivate 9. There's a issue with the Quiz typ "matching" in review mode:How can i change the position of the "correct_answer_normal.png" in review mode? There are no issue in other quiz types (multiple choice, single choise, ...), just in the quiz type "matching".  I tried to fix this problem in modifying the "CPLibraryAll.css" in the assets\css\ folder but with no results.Please let me know if I need to clarify my problem, and thank you VERY MUCH in advance for your help.

I am trying to publish my quiz but after I do it, the zip file doesnt appear. 

Hi there, I've created a software simulation in the new Captivate on Mac and exported it as a SCORM 2004 packagfe.  It worked fine, but when I open the file in the LMS, it takes more than 20 seconds to load (depending on the connection speed). So I checked the files in the folders. As you can see in the screenshot, each step of my simulation was saved as bmp with an file size of 19.8 MB! Unlike in Captivate Classic, I couldn't find any way of reducing the file size. In this configuration, I don't think that the software simulation feature is useful. Any suggestions? I'm very grateful for help.

I have several Capivate Classic courses that use Smart Shapes with text in them.When I try to use the option to print a course as a storyboard, only the Text Captions are included, smart shapes are completely ignored.Is there a way to include the text from the smart shapes.Also it would be helpful to also have the text in the CC included as well.Grouped Text Captions are also ignored.The text from incorrect/correct feedback objects is also missing.

Adobe Captivate 9 Is there a way to prevent a user from advancing the Progress Bar?  I like including the progress bar so users know their progression but don't want them to be to advance in anyway.Any ideas???

I dislike the limitations to make a nice start page in HTML. It has been helpful that the support group has helped in making changes to the Play Icon and to get rid of the dimming, but is there a way to move the Play Icon? As it is now, it is in the middle of the page, not very nice on top of many illustrations. I would prefer it in the lower right corner. Does anybody know how to move it?Thanks.Jan

This is in regards to the new Adobe Captivate (called Charm I guess?).  I finally was able to complete a project build.  I zipped it to a SCORM 1.2 package and uploaded the files to a Moodle course.  This is a paid Moodle version by the way. Everything built into my Captivate project seemed to work--weeks ago.  Now the video features are non-functioning--though all other interactive components are running smoothly.  This includes both the events video and a multi-slide synchronized video.  A black box appears over the events video (see below) and the playback skin is inoperable.    And the 'play' and 'pause' buttons that I coded to start and pause the timeline (and pause and start the slide video) also no longer function properly (see above).  All of this works within the 'Preview' mode via Adobe Captivate.  And these features did function in Moodle weeks ago.  Now granted, I made some changes to the original project
