Hello,Suddenly (as in overnight), I cannot use Put to publish files to websites.  The error message is "An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host.  User limit reached or cannot make the connection due to local firewall blocking FTP data.So far I've tried turning off Windows 10 Firewall and Avast but no luck there.  Does anyone have any idea why such an error pops up overnight?

I wondering if any Adobe insiders or long-time Dreamweaver users have any relevant and credible information on Adobe's roadmap for web development going forward. I've been using Dreamweaver since before Macromedia was bought out by Adobe. The fact that it's languishing in limbo is disappointing, to say the least. I remember when Adobe was working on Brackets, and then ended up incorporating a lot of that code into Dreamweaver, and it seems like that's the last significant thing they've done with Dreamweaver.  I would have thought that at some point, Adobe would have either added CMS capabilities to Dreamweaver, or made the decision to move in that direction with a brand new CMS product / evironment, but since there was not even a single word mentioned about Dreamweaver at last year's Adobe Max conference, or anything really related to website development, it makes me wonder if they're going to possibly go the route of leveraging their acquisition of Figma, along with som

DW: Version 12 Build 5808Windows 11 Pro, Version 22H2, OS build 22621.1702Running on Parallels Desktop on Mac OSX Ventura 13.3.1 Here is a screen shot.  Has anyone seen something like this before? It's almost unusable, making it very difficult to click on any menu item, etc. You can see how the navigation size compares to icons on the desktop.

 

I managed to build a somewhat functional site until DW started crashing. Also a lot of the functions don't work properly until i restart DW. Bootstrap functions well in workmode but fails to work once saved. By reading earlier post it seems like Adobe has given up on DW. If not I would appreciate if you could help and fix the bugs. Thank you

I'm wondering if Dreamweaver has a History Log like Photoshop does. It's accessable in Photoshop through preferences but I'm not seeing an equivalent in Dreamweaver's preferences. Might it be accessable somewhere else or, more likely, it does not exist.

I am unable to update the pages that use a particular template after I edit it. I select Tools>Templates>Update pages first. Then I select Look in>Files that use and choose the name of the template that I just updated that needs to be applied to those pages and select Update>Templates. After I click Start, the log shows that it went through every file that SHOULD have been updated and for every one, there is an error Error accessing the file with the file name listed (see below).  The only thing that doesn't look right is the path to the file. It appears that it's looking for the template in a folder named public_html:templates on my hard drive. The templates ARE in that folder on the remote site, but on the local site, they are not. The path to the folder on the local site is Samsung SSD>Documents_SSD>Boone RTA>WEB SITE>templates>basic_template_2022.dwt. I know we've had updates to Dreamweaver. I've reinstalled my machine this weekend but I noticed it say "Dreamweaver 2021" Can you confirm the version  we're on now?   

It's been nearly a year since the last update to DW and the beta/pre-release website is no longer accessible. Is DW still being updated anymore? Is it now abandonware?

Suddenly all my HTML docs are receiving multiple warnings when I run W3C Validation... "Self-closing tag syntax in text/html documents is widely discouraged; it’s unnecessary and interacts badly with other HTML features (e.g., unquoted attribute values). If you’re using a tool that injects self-closing tag syntax into all void elements, without any option to prevent it from doing so, then consider switching to a different tool." All the sources I have learned from, including W3Schools, follow this "bad practice". So how come this has suddenly become a problem? Can the error be suppressed in the W3C Validator? Can anyone suggest a tool which will go through my 1,000's of lines of code and fix all these self-closed tags?  I could try to ignore it but the validation reports are so full of this that it's hard to spot the errors and warnings that do "matter". 

I am not sure if it is a bug. Fist time happening to me. The curious thing is that with Filezilla (other app to manage sites with FTP), all works fine, no issues. I don‘t undestand why with DW is happening this. Here are the two screenshots, one with the message error and other with the FTP log. I tried also deliting all and creating a new site. Some where I read that I have to match the clocks of the server and my equipment. Or should I report as a bug?  Adobe recommends to put the IP address on the URL Web field, but it is shared IP and I go it throught the address bar, I get an error message. In the control panel of my proviuder I gave permissions 777 (temporarily, of course), but nothing. Orientations, please.  

Bing is using IndexNow to push updated pages so I wondered if anyone is using it to update Bing when a page is updated.  

Hi.I'm using the latest version of Dreamweaver 21.3 on macOS.I prefer to use the UTF-8 character "U+00A0" for the "no break space" instead of the named entity " " in the code view.For better readability.It is visualized by a red dot.But a red dot is shown as well, wenn you put a standard space at the end of line.So a red dot is not an exclusive visualization exclusively for a "no break space".1st questionIs it possible to configure another visualization of the U+00A0 in the code view?2nd questionIn Design View the option "Show invisible elements" is selected. Again and again I have the task (editing, typography, ...) that I have to run several regular expressions one after the other over a file set.[x] Regular expression[x] Search in text onlyIn Dreamweaver, I have to start a new Find & Replace run each time to do this.Is there perhaps an extension that allows multiple regular expressions to run consecutively?Right, I need the option "Search only in text" mandatory.Thanks for your help : )

good day all My  dreamweaver templates when links are checked have no bad links. Pages created from these templates all display the same three broken links. I am unable to correct the bad links as they seem to be locked by a template.Any suggestions ?  I will write through a translator. Adobe Dreamveaver breaks PHP code in many places when formatting. How to COMPLETELY disable PHP code formatting, but leave HTML formatting ??? And this is just what I noticed !!! I tried to set it up via https://helpx.adobe.com/en/dreamweaver/using/format-css-code.html But it didn't work for me. How to disable incorrect php formatting? I used to have an old DREAMVEAVER 2015 and everything worked fine on it

Dreamweaver 21.2 on macOS Big Sur is showing a large number of locations in the pop-up sites list, in addition to the correct sites. This seems to have begun after a power outage damaged Dreamweaver's prefs files. I have restored prefs following this procedure, then manually set my prefs again. https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver.html I have also restored the sites prefs file from Time Machine before the problem started.    Here's what the list looks like. The sites at the bottom are correct, and correctly linked. I'd like to get rid of the rest.

I've tried everything. Posted here many times. Its NOT baout managing sites. I have all my sites properly and correctly managed. Dreamweaver KEEPS saving ".backup" files that are impossible to find on my Mac. 

Hi, does Adobe Dreamweaver already have good looking sections that I can insert into my HTML? I know that I can input a blank <section> or <div> then I can customize it by myself, but I want to know if there are already prepared sections for me to insert or if there are none?

Hello!I am a member of the Adobe community. I am currently attending a seminar on the topic Web Development. I signed up for the program Dreamweaver  but made a mistake in the subscription. I needed the program only for 2 months, but I was confused and signed up for an annual subscription. Now I must pay a penalty for canceling my subscription. Is it possible to change the terms of the purchase and pay for Dreamweaver for only 2 months that i was used????? Please and thank you for your understanding.

What's the easiest way to apply an inner shadow to a video, if it can be done at all? (To maintain a very thin shadow over the playback.) Directly applying box-shadow (inset) to the <video> tag didn't work. I even tried doing it through ::before or ::after. It can probably be done by adding a new DIV but I'm trying to avoid the extra markup. PS: The corners of the video are rounded via border-radius.
