What does the cTrustedForPV preference do specifically? It is not listed in the Preference Reference http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/PrefRef/Windows/index.html. It can be found as a cab under cTrustedSites or cTrustedFolders; those can be found under TrustManager in HKEY_CURRENT_USER, after a trusted site or location has been added. It appears to disabled Protected View completely, but again, it is not listed in the Preference Reference.

Just wasted 4 hours trying to get the Creative Cloud Packager to work on Mac so I can build an updated package.Ended up to by my hostname.Adobe Application Manager Version v10.0.0.49Creative Cloud Packager Desktop v1.13During the process, the AASIapp hands off authentication to https://ims-prod06.adobelogin.com/ and includes variables in the URL which includes the hostname of the machine. It is then supposed to redirect to https://oobe.adobe.com/ after successful login. My hostname was descriptive and included spaces, an ' and a ". This URL is not corrected given by AASIapp causing a failure in the link, and then the redirect URL not being called for the process to continue.I was able to get the process to continue after changing the hostname of the Mac to something the URL would work against.Thank you Adobe.
I'm unable to run the Dreamweaver CC 2017 download from either the setup.exe on my PC or directly from the Dreamweaver download site. When I try either method, they stop after about 3 seconds with no error message. How do I get past this?
I'm wondering about the required login to the CC app for device licensed installs. We have different users with different CC app needs. We'd like to deploy a small Creative Cloud package with just Acrobat and the Creative Cloud App and then let users decide what additional CC apps to install. Currently when we deploy to Windows machines with SCCM, both apps install correctly, but the CC app asks for a user login before it will allow other software to be installed. Is that the only way to make the CC app work? Is there a way to skip the login and allow any of our licensed programs to install without requiring a user to setup an Adobe account? It seems like it worked without a login when we first got a CC license a few years ago, but lately all installs have been requiring a user login. Thanks
Adobe Acrobat 8 professional stopped working, I can launch the program but it shuts down after 15 seconds. What can I do to make it work again, I already reinstalled the program and gained a new serialnumber
Hi, I have used the offline exception feature in the customization wizard to create an install package to deploy to servers that do not have Internet access themselves. I am running the customization wizard on a machine that does have Internet access, and I get a positive response to the offline exception. I create the customized installer back in July and this is just now starting to crop up on the machines. Also in the customized installer, I disabled all other Internet features that I could locate. The machines this is deployed to are behind a strict firewall, and no inbound or outbound Internet access.
On trying to manage our installed Acrobat footprint we need to easily count the installations per edition. Both versions show quite similar on a file level (acrobat.exe). Any advice what the distinguishing factor is and how to identify it in an automated process?
I noticed after this latest update to Acrobat DC there are options to sign in with Facebook or Google on the Adobe Acrobat Sign in window. I would like to suppress the Facebook and Google Sign in options for my Enterprise users. Does anybody know if there is a registry value that would suppress these options?
Morning,I work in IT, I've signed up for an account, I've searched for the creative cloud packager and I can't find or install it. Adobe, why are you making it so hard for admins to actually get this pretty horrific design of yours to work? What I need is simple, I want the creative Cloud packager so I can deploy this via SCCM. Why is this so hard?ThanksAlex
I suddenly cannot open my already installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I installed it 8/22/17 and have been using it every day, all day. Now all of the sudden, it will not open and I cannot even find the app in my Creative Cloud to update it. I have done the windows program repair and updated my computer, but none of that has helped.
Hi all, can we deploy CCT on a virtualize Windows 2012R2 on Citrix ? Thanks
I am attempting to configure an enterprise install of Adobe Acrobat DC Pro. I am using the latest Wizard CustWiz1502020039_en_US_DC.exe. I can set several options successfully for example Installation Options and Shortcuts. I can save these settings but when I attempt to save Online and Adobe online services Features I get an error 259? Why when modifying these features is the error thrown and how do I overcome?
Hi there,I have a group of end users who have a mixture of Camera Raw 9.12.1, 9.10, 9.8, 9.6, 9.1, and 7.5 that I've seen so far. These are very busy artists who need to get their Camera Raw plugin updated in the background ie Silent install.I have tried performing installation of Camera Raw 9.12.1 as a silent install using the option --mode=silent however this does not work.I really need to work out how to fully automate this process. Further background, we run Photoshop CC on Windows, also running other CS applications like Bridge. We use Puppet to distribute software to individual workstations.Hope someone can direct me, many thanks! &nb

How can I access the administration console? A former employee of the organization did not leave a username and password
Corporate network, 100+ users working happily. One user of Acrobat Pro, signs in via help/sign in and is immediately prompted for proxy creds.I had it once before and I'm sure i deleted a file or folder maybe under common files - but can't remember and can't find it now.Why is it so hard?Don't respond with "whitelist these url's.................." the rest are working fine, it's another Creative Cloud opportunity !Because we love spending time on this sh*t.
I would like to see the ability to run multiple workstation virtual machines off a single cluster with a couple of high-end GPUs, each running Adobe packages to create content, with the virtualized GPU cores being dynacmically allocated depending on which user is demanding the most resources in that moment. I look after a team of creators and this would be an excellent centralized solution for us, as opposed to individual workstation upgrades. The hardware already exists too - AMD's Vega GPUs can virtualize individual cores. All we need is software support. You can do it, Adobe!
I am trying to deploy CC in an enterprise, but I want to control when the software gets updated. We are adding all the online services for our users, but we don't want them to be able to run their own updates. I have made packages with the updates disabled, but when I install the package and login a test user, they have complete control of their updates. I have been through all the deployment documentation and tried changing code in preference files, but nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated - this is very frustrating.
If I try to update Acrobat DC manually, I get a message stating "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'AcroPro.msi' in the box below.'The default path is C:\_SMSTaskSequence\Packages\0NE006EC\If I try to allow the corporate software updater to work, it simply fails.I am on a corporate network using Win7.Any thoughts on how to get this to work?Vern
Software recognition for Acrobat DC 2016 & 2017 is a challenge. The SWID (SWID Tags - Software Identification (SWID) Tags - The Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) - NIST ) tags used for recognition aren't working. When we view Windows Programs and Features we see Adobe Acrobat DC. This becomes a huge challenge when you are managing hundreds or thousands of installs/licenses and you are unable to tell the difference. This problems extends to some of the larger vendors who offer software asset management solutions as well as tools like Microsoft SCCM. How can we resolve this?
HelloI'll install Acrobat Pro 2017 with an mst File over setup.exe and not over msi File. Should be possible:See this information here: Installation options — Acrobat Customization Wizard DC for Windows Remove all versions of Reader: Removes old versions of Reader currently installed on the destination system and sets the REMOVE_PREVIOUS_READER property. The property can be used in tandem with REMOVE_PREVIOUS when earlier versions of both Acrobat and Reader need to be removed as part of a new Acrobat install. Note: If the installed Reader is lower than DC product install (11.x or earlier), this option works for both setup.exe and .msi installs. However, if Reader DC is installed and should be removed, the install method requires the use of setup.exe during deployment. Can anybody help me?Why I ask this:I'll deploy Acrobat Pro 2017 with an VMWare Mirage App Layer, and in the Base Layer there is already the Reader installed.
Hello, our company is planning on standing up an Adobe update server to help control how often our users can update their Adobe products. We're new to all this so I was wondering if anyone had setup a QA or Test server to accept the updates and test, then push the updates to a Production server? Can this be easily done, or should we just setup 2 update servers, test on one then release the updates on the other one once we're satisfied with the results?
HiWe recently moved from VIP to ETLA agreements. And after the initial burst of acitivity therere are about 80 users who will have lost there invites to ETLA Creative Cloud.I would like to resend the invites in bulk. There is a 'select all' check box but I don't know whether it:a) selects all 80 usersb) or just the current 'page' of 15 users.I don't want o experiment on my users - I would rather know in advance what will happen when I 'select all' the press 'Resend'.Any ideas?Dave
