Hi, I am using Sharepoint CMS with FrameMaker 2022. When I try to open a topic (Checkout and Edit) that contains around 17 insets, it doesn't open even after around an hour or so.  I tried to observe the local CMS files folder during the process and it seems it does check all inset files in the topic.  The strange thing is that it opens on my colleague's laptop.  Any idea what can be the issue? 

Hi, We are using Adobe FrameMaker 2015 for some of our legacy projects; it has been working fine thus far, but we are encountering issues installing it. During the initial steps of the installation, it asks for our credentials for adobe.com. When we enter after a period of time, it refuses to accept. I completed the installation with the acceptance of my license key, and without login, I get caught again with the same issue when I do the patch update (Help > Updates). I had tried with Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server 2012 R2 in India and the USA. Any solution to having a successful FrameMaker will be a great help. I have attached a few screenshots for reference. Regards,Arul Kumar   

 I'm finding that if i have a table anchor on a line of body text, the text switches to Times New Roman, rather than the specified Arial in the HTML5 output. If I put a return in and have the table anchor on a blank line, the problem goes away. As far as I can tell, everything is assigned Arial so I can't work out what's causing this. Is my only fix to have all table anchors on their own para?

FM changes the conditional tags on imported files the next time I open the target file after import. The result is a conditional filter that lets conditional text slip through to the generated PDF, though it shouldn't have been there. I can change the setting back, but FM refuses to keep it.       

 The attached images show the different results I get in the Responsive HTML5 output when (all other things remaining the same) I set the cellbody size to 9 pts via either the FM paragraph designer (correct looking image on the left), or via editing the cellbody font size to 9 pts (down from 12 pts) when in the Publish Settings window and selecting Edit Style to decrease the cellbody font size. . Ideally I'd like to decrease the assigned font size in the HTML output (compared to the PDF output), but this issue in the cells is causing me grief. The table has the default cell padding values assigned in the Table Designer (6pt, 6pt, 4pt, 6pt) and I can't decrease these as it messes up the look of the tables in the PDF output. Can anyone shed any light on why this is happening and whether there's a fix or a work around? In all of my books that have a MTOC and Chapter TOCs, clicking on one of the MTOC links takes me to the first page of the chapter. I would rather be taken to the first page of the chapter TOC, but I can't figure out where to change that information. This is my TOC reference table: Appreciate any help!

Hello,I am trying to import a PDF inside a FM document (landscape mode because my PDF is also landscape).But the result : I can see the PDF inside the FM document (File/Import/File), but if I do "File/Save as PDF", I have an error message saying me "PDF generation failed". Why ?

I've been using TCS2015 - FrameMaker on the same machine with Windows 10 since it was purchased as a perpetual license. Now when I launch FrameMaker, a Sign In dialog pops upI log inA trial/license dialog pops upI enter the license codethen the Sign In dialog pops up again and the cycle repeats. I tried re-installing. Furthermore, when I go to the support page, the AI assistant says I do not have an active account, but I do with the current Creative Suite, and I can see my apps listed on the support page. Is there any knowledge on how to fix FrameMaker? Thanks

My heading refers to Solved: Empty pages keep returning FM 2017 - Adobe Community - 9987986.  FM changes the pagination properties for two out of 16 files in the book and adds empty pages. I have changed the setting manually, but FM changes it back each time I update the book.I want all chapters to start on the next empty page. My setting:  FM's setting after book update:  I apply the desired setting with all files in the book selected before updating it. I have followed Adobe FrameMaker: Deleting Empty Pages – Rocky Mountain Training but the problem persists. The "next available"-setting does not solve the problem.

FM inserts full stops after note numbers 2 and 3 in the last two columns and after the numbers in all three notes beneath the table. Why?The table is placed in a separate file. When I open that file, there are no full stops.The paragraph style has the format Numeric (14) as numbering properties in the file with the table and in the file in which it is embedded.

Hello all, I'm using FrameMaker Version 17.0.3.546 My engineering organization is very afraid of change. We write procedures and organize the content as such: A. SECTION HEADER (These are always the same A-D) 1. Here is level1            a. Hi folks, I have yet another case with Adobe Enterprise support where the initial responses seems more focused on throwing solutions at the perceived problem, rather than attempting analysis of the provided logs and details of the problem. I must add that this experience is replicated across a number of different vendors I have dealt with. I am sure the first responders have to respond and move on quickly to the next. My frustration is with the process, and how the emphasis is on responding quickly, and not with a considered review! With Adobe Entreprise support however, my customers pay for the priviledge, and I have already done a lot of diagnosing. The product I mostly deal with is FrameMaker and the experience with case responses has been frustrating and generally the case has not been resolved. My current issue is with a 32-bit package of Acrobat Pro created in the admin Console that fails to install with a 'Package deployment failed due to mismatch of OS arhitectur

Using FrameMaker 2020 with Acrobat DC. Trying to generate a PDF file from a book. Getting the following mesage:  "FrameMaker could not find Adobe PDF printer instance, Which must be installed to execute Save as PDF command." Acrobat DC and Distiller are installed. How can I make a change bar down along the side of a figure or table that is center across columns. I have no problem when the figure or table is inside the column even with two column documents. I have tried "across all columns" with two columns and with a side head column with no luck. I have also tried the different positions that the change bars can be placed. It will only place the change bar where the figure or table is anchored.  I have some examples if needed.Thanks,ls

Good evening,I installed Framemaker and when I open the program it looks nothing at all like the tutorials.  I have been unable to find a solution after hours of searching.

This is a long one to explain, so please bear with me.Im having an issue with the TOC, when i update the book the format of some of the chapters in the TOC is incorrect, see image below 6 is correct format, 7 is incorrect.so i go and just copy and paste chapter 6 heading into chapter 7, thinking the correct format would be copied over but it pastes in skewed, to the left, see below.I then went and double checked that every setting in the 'paragraph designer' tab matched between 6 and 7, which it did. It doesnt make any sense to me at this point! Anyone have any idea whats going on?

Hello,when generating HTML5 in the current version 16.05.1096, the generated TOC navigation bar no longer works. The faulty link does not lead to the .htm or the scripted ID, but to the programme folder:file:///C:/c:/program%20files/adobe/adobe%20framemaker%2020/filters?rhtocid=_4#998464bc-3How can this be fixed?

Hi everyone, Unfortunately, the FM2022 (with latest update installed) CMS SharePoint Online client gets stuck completely when trying to check out a file from a repository. It looks like a check-out/check-in timeout issue that also existed in the on-prem SharePoint CMS client and was fixed by Adobe in FM2020.Has anyone else encountered this issue with the SharePoint Online client?Thanks!

Hello...has anyone tried working with FrameMaker 2020 on Windows Virtual Machines? We got a Windows server license installed to enable multiple users to work in parallel on the VM. But FM keeps crashing. Its behaviour is random. Working fine for one user. Any thoughts or how to resolve this? Thank you.

Hello,I had to recreate a chapter in my book but the table in the new chapter don't follow suit with the rest of the book. I have clicked in the table title > format > document > numbering > volume > I selected Continue Numbering From Previous File in Book but that didn't change the table title.How do I reset all the table numbers? Cheers,Tina

I am not sure what the exact term is called, but is there a way to select words in FM without selecting the entire paragraph?  I posted an example of what I mean in the screenshot. In MS Word, I can do this by selecting the first word, and then holding down the CTRL key and selecting more. I need this function because I am applying styles to individual words in the character designer and it is time consuming to do it one section at a time. I apologize if this has been posted before. I could not find the exact keyboard shortcut I needed in the FM help info.
