Questions

I was working on a project and when I loaded it up today all of the content was still there but I couldn't see it. I've looked for an answer online but couldnt find a solution. I then attempted to restart the project in a new file but then the issue has happened again where all the content has dissapeared and turned white. The content still shows on the preview of the project so I'm hoping theres a solution to getting my work back. I have attached images that show my artboards and the preview. I hope somebody can help, thanks.  

For months I've had a major problem.Illustrator crashes frequently on launch. Very frequently.Like many of us.I've tried all the advices.Clearing the cache. Deleting preferences. Cleaning permissions. Performing a clean install. NOTHING.I have an up-to-date MacBook Pro M1 Max. The problem isn't coming from there.And then one day. A critical event. I saw the light. 90% of the time, the problem occurs when the MacBook Pro is running on battery.I also have to make sure I don't have a second poer-eating application running in the background (Premiere, Firefox...). WOW!Could Illustrator not be optimized enough?The problem persists 10% of the time when it's plugged into the mains. And aside from advice and positive messages, there's no concrete solution—or at least the root problem isn't being addressed or even considered.Have you noticed any difference in efficiency between battery and main power?

Dear Adobe,It's July 29th, and your communications about the Illustrator release for Microsoft Copilot+ PCs are as sparse as a Western ghost town at high noon. We're left squinting at the horizon, hoping to see the Illustrator stagecoach roll in, but all we hear is tumbleweeds.While software development can be as unpredictable as a quick-draw contest, a smoke signal or two wouldn't hurt. We're not asking for a daily telegraph, but some news would be mighty appreciated. As I saddle up for vacation, I can't help but wonder: will I return to find Illustrator finally in town, or will I need to mosey on over to Affinity's saloon if this radio silence persists?Looking forward to some news that isn't as elusive as a mirage in the desert heat!

I completely messed up the Color Settings (in Edit menu) and I just need to get them back to factory default. I've searched a lot of discussion groups, etc., but I can't find an answer to that question. These are the overall Color Settings for the program, not just a document. The settings that come "out of the box," so to speak.Can anyone provide? My document/monitor colors are WAY messed up. I just want to go back to first base. In Illustrator those would be settings such as "Settings," "RGB," "CMYK," "Color Management Policies." In Photoshop they are settings such as "Settings," "Working Spaces, "Color Management," "Advanced Controls."Thank you for anyone who has the patience to answer.

When I scroll in any illustrator window with my mouse wheel it scrolls very slow. for example scrolling fonts, its one font at a time when yesterday it was a dozen or so. I checked all of my settings and used a different mouse its not my mouse or my computer. Its an illustrator issue.  

Hello,In Illustrator, when I create a project in A4, it opens the artboard in A4.Now I would like to design an object which goes beyond the page limits, so I need to change the scale view of the A4 page : by example 1/10   or 1/100, etc …   How to set this scale view ?

Maybe it’s my computer, maybe I’m doing something wrong, but since the last update, every now and then, when I first click on an open file window in Illustrator the pop up for file explorer shows up. I can’t recreate it every time, and it doesn’t seem to matter how long I wait after opening a file- it just- sometimes happens. This is why I’m wondering if it’s my computer lol.

I just want to let everyone (and especially Adobe, obviously) know that this is still an issues in Illustrator v 26.3.1 on Windows. I installed Illustrator v26.3.1 fresh on a recently installed Windows 11 computer, and I encountered the same problem on my first attemt to save an .ai file.   The work-around that worked was unchecking BOTH "save in background" AND "export in background". Unchecking either one on its own still produces the error.   So if Anshul is right and it was fixed in v26.2.1 it has either regressed in v26.3.1 or it was fixed in the Mac branch of the code, but not in the Windows (11) branch of the code.   Either way it's still an active bug in Illustrator v26.3.1 on Windows 11.   P.S. The suggested "go to File and Package" etc message on the error dialog doesn't work. The "Package.." option is greyed out.     Last observation: This is a really bad bug to ship your software with, Adobe. You can't expect your customers, who pay a premium

When I have Illustrator (the latest version) open, the screensaver and monitor sleep do not work on macOS Sequoia. In Activity Monitor, there is something called CEPHtmlEngine, and it shows 'YES' in the Prevent Sleep section.What is this thing, and how can I make it stop preventing sleep? To put it mildly, it's quite annoying. 

I am a digital arts teacher, and the desktops my students work on are all not loading the “save to adobe cloud” dialog box upon initiating a save. I have left the box open to load for an entire day, to no avail. The desktops are recently reimaged and the newest version of Illustrator is loaded onto them, though the computers themselves are a bit old. They are all running Windows 10 pro Education with i5 intel processors, and each have 8GB of ram, plus ethernet. Thank you to whoever can help- the cloud is hugely helpful in my classroom (children are not very adept at saving their work on their own.)

Hi, I use adobe illustrator cc 2025 in the company without internet access directly. So I need use internet for each 90 days to check license.There is one condition, after I finish the steps, the illustrator app can normally open without internet for about 2 days, but suddenly it lose license, what happend to it and how to fix the condition? Hello, I have recently purchased a new notebook and installed Creative Cloud on it. After opening the application and signing in with the same email address that has my active Illustrator license, I can only see the option to download Illustrator for tablets (iPad). The desktop version of Illustrator does not appear in Creative Cloud at all. I have already tried: - Logging out and logging back in- Restarting the computer- Reinstalling Creative Cloud Nothing has helped. On my old computer, using the same account, Illustrator for desktop is installed and works normally. My license is active and visible in my Adobe account. However, on the new computer, Creative Cloud only shows the tablet version and does not offer the desktop installation. Could you please help me resolve this issue? Thank you very much. Kind regards,Eva Vontrobová

When I want to use 3D effects in Illustrator, I have to change these settings fromthe default ones to create the 3D effect. However, when I try to create a custom color settings file so I don’t have to keep changing the settings every time I open the app, it won’t save. What should I do?

Across our studio we are getting pop-ups each time we launch a Creative Cloud application asking each user to “Allow”, for the message:"Adobe Illustrator 2026.app" would like to access data from other apps. This is typically something we would only expect once during initial installation or a major update. This is now happening every time the app is launched. (See attached image). We’re experiencing this on all recent versions of Mac OS up to 26.4. On a variety of machines (Mac Book Pro, Mac Studios, all Apple Silicon), and it has only just starting in the past couple of weeks.Is anyone else experiencing this, and have you found a work around?  

Illustrator file preview bug. it retains the history of previous position of layers in artwork.

This happened twice without my intention to use generative AI or turntable.When I left illustrator for 10-15 minutes and I am doing some other task. When I return and start working again in illustrator and click on some object suddenly the illustrator become in-responsive and turntable menu appear out of no where.20 credits for creating turntable generative for a piece of object I am going to delete generated.This happen now again.Both time nothing else happen both time it start generating turntable.  It asked for no confirmation. It is a paid service extra  credit needed to utilize this service. I wants to remove any generative and turntable from visible menu and right click.(Please do not suggest window > Contextual Menu  that I also hide) Thanks

Hi everyone,Since recent updates to Illustrator, the Control Bar no longer displays a linked image’s Effective PPI and Color Mode by default. Instead, this info has been hidden behind an info icon (ⓘ), requiring an extra click every time an image is selected.For prepress, print production, and high-volume graphic design, checking effective PPI and color modes across dozens of placed images is a constant daily necessity. Adding an extra click for every single check introduces a major bottleneck and seriously slows down my workflow.Has anyone found a workaround, custom script, or setting to keep PPI and Color Mode permanently visible on the Control Bar like in previous versions?Honestly, it feels like instead of moving forward, Adobe is going backwards with these recent updates—removing essential tools and hiding useful features that power users rely on daily for basic productivity.Thanks in advance for any tips or solutions!
