Fonts in my files flag up as missing if I connect to any other wi-fi other than my home wi-fi. Seems to be a bug, how do I fix it? Font replacement and refreshing don't work, it won't allow me to activate the same font.

Hi, I don't know if there's already a thread about this, but after the latest update to Illustrator 2026, the search bar in my cloud documents disappeared (File - open - Cloud documents). I have a lot of similar documents, and for years I've been naming them according to keywords so I can quickly find older documents. Am I just looking in the wrong place, or is there a way to request that the search bar be brought back?

Hello. I've been experiencing an issue in the latest release of Adobe Illustrator (29.8.1). After creating artwork in the centre of the canvas and inlcuding text boxes I've encountered an error where the text moves outside of the box diagonally and moves the other objects with it. If I click on the text the text box is selected, but in its original position. It's only after resizing the text box that the text itself reverts back to appearing in the box. This has been an issue before, in earlier version, but this is now moving non-text objects away from their original position. I've had to correct two artworks that have had this error already. The only trigger I can think of is when the artwork is saved under a new filename after being created - for a duplicate file as an example. Please see the screenshots below for further context.

Las que se han rasterizado con Illustrator 2026 se ven mal cuando se abre el PDF en Illustrator, en cambio las otras generadas con versiones anteriores se ven correctamente. AI-generated logoCreated shapeI’ve had a request to recreate the look and feel of an AI-generated logo. I am really struggling to find a way to get the color treatment from the attached image. Also, the logo I’ve created is not expanding or letting me “Draw Inside.” Any suggestions? 

Why has Adobe not seen it fit to include a QR code generator in Illustrator? Currently, getting QR code "images" into Illustrator is a pain in the a##. Adobe please wake up.

I am immensely frustrated and disappointed. I have been an Adobe user for over a decade and am professional Graphic Designer. I am absolutely frustrated as to what is happening with my fonts. I never know what fonts are offloaded from my computer and when. This morning I used a font (New Atten) and when I went to go back and edit the file just a couple of hours later, the font had been fully offloaded. BUT if I go to adobe fonts, it still shows the font as active, so I have to remove the font and reinstall it and this freaks adobe out and it will sometimes take hours  (2-4 HOURS) for the font to re-install on my computer. Fonts aren't supposed ot offload unless you haven't used them in six months, but mine are offloading when I haven't used them in a few hours. I know I can get this fixed by uninstalling and re-installing my creative cloud, but I have to do this on a weekly basis, which then means all of my fonts are re-installed and uninstalled, taking hours again. It sucks

Had a curious printing glitch occur recently, with an advertiser using a Google font (‘Anybody’, specifically) in their advertisement. The process was as follows:Client supplied PDF, but not the right size for the publication, so it was opened in Illustrator to adjust the size and make a couple of other amendments they requested. Output as a new PDF to our printers’ preferred spec. PDF placed on final page in InDesign, output to the printers’ preferred spec (I know refrying isn’t ideal, but it’s common enough in this sort of context) Publication goes to press, and some of the text set in ‘Anybody’ has gone adrift, most importantly, the client’s URL is missing most of the second arch of the ‘m’ of its .comThe PDF looks OK, the PDF prints OK in-house. I’m an Ai newbie (only a few months of inconsistent use)and I’m trying to create an inverted version of this design so we can use it on a dark-colored t-shirt. I used a set of images from Adobe Stock and rearranged them, as you can see. I’ve tried the knockout/offset path method, but each element of this design is group of paths and/or compound paths (we’re talking dozens for each little picture, such as the cow) and… I just can’t sort it out. This is the method I have been trying

Fresh Windows 11 Pro 25H2 installation (26200.7840), fresh Adobe CC installation, fresh everything. Illustrator (30.2.1.1) hangs whenever I try to quit the application. Can only force quit / kill the process. This also happens when I click the (NEW) Templates link on the Illustrator Home Screen. The home screen area hangs and becomes unresponsive. You can still use the application’s main pulldown menus and even create a new document and do things but the homescreen layer remains hung.Things usually seem to be less responsive with interactions that try to reach some server in that bloody bloated inline browser, for all the bloatware the new UI is drowning in. I don’t even use them, I noticed when I was trying to troubleshoot. I would completely remove those slapped on features if I could but there doesn’t seem to be an option to debloat it.The core application does function and do all the rest it is supposed to do. While its easy to wrap area text around an object, is it possible to do the same for text on a path? Like in this example have the words wrap to either side of the triangles.

I'm using the free trial to test Illustrator. I'm on a Mac Pro -Illustrator freezes and I have to force quit when I try to:1) save a pattern as a swatch - almost every time2) delete a swatch - almost every time3) export as jpg at 300dpi - every timeI've googled and tried unchecking GPU and resetting preferences -Is this a common problem?If so is there an easy fix?If it keeps happening I may have to delete before my subscription kicks in.

Hello,I’m experiencing an issue in Illustrator 2026 where Separations Preview does not work in CMYK mode. It doesn’t display individual color separations at all — neither CMYK channels nor PANTONE spot colors.What’s more confusing is that this also happens with older files that were created in previous versions and used to work correctly. After opening them in Illustrator 2026, Separations Preview still won’t show the individual colors.Has anyone else encountered this problem, or is it something specific to my setup?Any insights or workarounds would be appreciated.Thank you.

Eyedropper help for text! To apply color, stroke, style, etc, I can use the eyedropper to pick up attributes, hold the ALT key, and apply those attributes to multiple objects. But I can't do the same thing when applying text styles to multiple segments of text. Am I missing something?I do it in InDesign all the time, but I'm tearing my hair trying it in Illustrator. I'm having to switch back and forth between the eye dropper and the text tool over and over and over, to choose the text tool, select the text I'm adjusting, switch to the eydropper, select the style I'm copying, then rinse and repeat about 100 times. I think I'm developing carpal tunnel syndrome just thinkin about it.Note:• YES, I have all the boxes checked for text styles in the settings for the eydropper tool.• NO, I cannot just select all the text boxes at once and apply the selected style with one click. Right now, I usually place texture overlays on wall photos and adjust blending modes in Adobe Photoshop to keep lighting and shadows realistic. Hallo liebe Community, ich wende mich an euch, weil ich kurz vor der Verzweiflung stehe und nicht mehr weiter weiß. Ich arbeite gerne und viel mit Illustrator, aber im jetzigen Zustand ist es nur noch ein Krampf.Alle bisherigen Hilfestellungen / Tipps aus dem Netz haben noch keine Lösung gebracht und ich hoffe, hier weitere Tipps oder Lösungsvorschläge von euch zu erhalten. Problembeschreibung:Kurz und knapp: Ich kann nicht ohne Ruckeln ein-/auszoomen oder verschieben (siehe Video anbei). Manchmal klappt es flüssiger, aber nur für kurze Zeit. Dann fängt es wieder an zu ruckeln. Dabei spielt es keine Rolle, ob es sich um eine große oder kleine Datei handelt, oder ob sie lokal oder über das Netzwerk geöffnet wird. Dear community, I have problem with an Illustrator (again and one of many). I have created a file and saved it on cloud. Immediatelly after closing it I have tried to open it just to being shown the error message that Illustrator can't open the file as I don't have acces to this file and that I should contact the owner. I am the only owner of license and the creator of it - I literally created that file several minutes ago on the same desktop device. How is that even possible? It shows the file isn't synced - but the internet connection is pretty fine. I must say I thought that saving my files on cloud will be a big relief and a time saver for me, but it's the exact opposite - constantly having all kinds of problems from conflicts with syncing file updates between my desktop devices, through problems with not available autosaving, messing up my text and letters positions, to banning me out of my own files... guess the creative cloud won't ever really compare to an extern

I've used the "Make Pattern" hundreds of time before, but now when I select an object and click "Make Pattern" I only get an error message that says "Can't define a new pattern from the current art." The current art is litterally just an ellipse, nothing complicated. What am I missing here?

Whenever I create a new file with many many artboards, Illustrator makes two that it labels as 60, not just in name but also in the internal labeling that determines the order and exporting files. Going up to 200, it doesn't seem to have any other duplicates, but I am attaching a screenshot of all of the numbering for reference. One thing this does create a bottleneck in my workflow is that because there is no artboard 59, whatever is on the 59th artboard ends up exporting as 60 and then immediately gets overwritten by the real 60 when exporting from artboards.

Hey all,I had this issue in macOS 26.2, do I updated to 26.3 hoping things would improve. Both have issues.I try saving, the percentage goes up slowly, but eventually goes back down and keeps showing different seemingly random %s. It'll go 15%, then 34%, then 76%, then back down to something like 26%, then 40%, and just keeps going for maybe 10 or 15 minutes. It then eventually gives up and shows the error below:I've tried:Restarting Illustrator (and attempting to save the recovered file) Restarting the computer Checking for Illustrator updates (it's fully up-to-date) Saving to a different location (like the Desktop)Some information:I'm not using any 3rd party plugins. Files do save if I create a new one from scratch and try saving it. Existing files do not.

There is a fundamental issue in Adobe Illustrator that needs attention. The keyboard shortcuts for Arrange  Bring Forward Send Backward Bring to Front Send to Back  simply stop working. They are correctly assigned in the Keyboard Shortcuts panel.They worked before.They are still mapped correctly. But they do nothing. Meanwhile, right-click → Arrange works perfectly. So Illustrator can execute the command — it just ignores the keyboard input.

I'm using Illustrator CC (on a Win7 Pro machine) at a beginner level, probably halfway to intermediate. I'm trying to learn how to blend colors together for highlights of various types (skin tones, clothing, light on objects, etc.) so that when I'm making a graphic for a project I'll have a decent idea of which tool/technique is best for the specific effect I need. I'm trying to use the Smooth Color option in the blend tool. Late yesterday afternoon I recall creating two ellipses (one of which was a solid fill and one of which was a gradient going from black to transparent) and getting a smooth color transition between the two. It was a much harsher effect than I was looking for so I didn't keep it. This morning, while trying to replicate the same thing, I seem to be unable to use smooth color between two objects if one or more of them has a gradient applied. I only get what you see below, which is a step between the two objects.I've done searches and found multiple references to blend
