Hello Everyone, I am tracing the image shown in the screenshot attached using the "Convert images to vector using Image Trace guide": https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/image-trace.html?x-product=CCHome%2F1.0&x-product-location=Search%3AForums%3Alink%2F3.2.3&mv2=cch Most of the image has been traced - except the areas inside some letters and the leaf as shown in the screenshot. My question is (apologies if i am not using the proper terminology) how do i ensure the red arrow areas within leaf and letters are included when tracing using the "Image Trace Guide"? What specific actions should I include, and at what step in the "image trace" process should i perform these actions to capture these areas?

I downloaded this AI file from Adobe Stock, everything is perfect, but I can't figure out how to change the background pink to another color.

Does anyone know why png picture doesn't have transparent background? I have tried to switch from GPU to CPU preview, it doesn't work. I have open transparent grid but still the behind image is blocked.  

Anybody else having 'issues' with the dimensions of objects being inaccurate in illustrator?I've set up a document (CMKY and 50mm x 50mm artboard). Snap to pixel is off.When I draw a rectangle of 50mm x 50mm everything seems good, but when I select the object again the dimensions actually read as 50.003mm. I can change the dimensions either in the control bar at the top, or the transform panel and everything seems accurate, but again if you deselect and re-select the object, the dimensions have again altered to this slightly off measurement. I've heard some people say that Illustrator uses points and mm / inches etc get converted to points and some 'rounding up or down' occurs, causing this inaccuracy. Granted that kind of minuscule change is barely going to be noticeable, but when accuracy is important it seems illogical to round anything up or down. If units are set to mm, then Illustrator use mm to measure and set and calculate dimensions no?I've reset preferences, restarted Illustr

How do we do any kind of subtle text editing in Illustrator? I can't even figure out how to make a few characters bold, and neither can the "help" feature. If the program is not capable of something that simple, I need to hurry and get my money back...

I am following a Udemy class about the last updates of Illustrator concerning AI and I cannot find the window for Text to Vector. I am trying with the Properties pannel, but also, there are only 3 itens listed, SCENE, SUBJECT and ICON, while I can see on Udemy's video, on a older version, that there's also a PATTERN choice... Where are these features?

Help! It seems like whenever I agree to an update the function, Adobe Illustrator gets all scrambled. I updated it today and now I cannot use the Curvature Point tool. When I open AI that tool should be renamed, "Straight or Jagged Line Tool". The line does not even end up on the region I was navigating around with the Curvature tool. The line appears a quarter inch off of the area I am trying to reproduce. I am so fed up with this process. I am trying to finish a major project, and I can't do anything with it because each time I try to update the system functions worse that it did before. What should I do? I need to get this work done. I may not update the system again because I have only seen it work properly after one update. I am very dissappointed.  I read online that I can restore it to a previous version. Is anyone experiencing manual scale issues working with created shapes in Illustrator V 29.5.1? Also finding issues with Text to Path.

But in windows when am typing numbers automatically changed to Adobe Arabic Font and continue as adobe Arabic Font. How can I solve this Issue. We have one computer at our workplace which is being stubborn about fonts but only in certain files. For example we have a text object using the font "Horsham-Bold" (A TTF font). On most of our computers we can edit this text easily, but on one particular computer when we try typing to add more letters to this text, the new letters appear using the font "Adelle-Heavy" (an OTF font) which is a font used elsewhere in the file. We can correct this by reselecting the new text and changing it back to Horsham-Bold, but pressing enter to create a new line reverts it back to Adelle-Heavy.Another odd thing is that the only computer having this problem is also the computer that created the file in the first place. I've looked at some similar discussions on this site, but those cases all seem to involve Postscript 1 fonts, which it doesn't look like we use, and they report the font changing to Myriad Pro rather than changing to another font used elsewhere in the file. My shape builder tool is not working for some reason. It shows a little anti circle next to the cursor when i try to use the tool. It does not allow me change any options on the tool as well. I tried reseting my settings back to default, restarted the program and tried to make an object on a fresh project but it still did not work. The Shape builder tool is the only tool affected. Can somebody please tell me how to fix this?

I'm haviing trouble accessing my files through the home button when I launch Illustrator.  I can open recent files through the drop down, but not any of my older files.  When I click on the home button, I just get a blank screen, with occasional flashes of the files I need.  What can I do to access my cloud files?

I've created a 5x5 grid with rectangle grid tool.  How do I change it to say, a 10x10 grid? I'm hoping you don't have to delete and recreate a grid for every design iteration, but the grid object doesn't seem to maintain any history (which really limits the usefulness of the tool).

Hello, I use character styles throughout multiple projects, and when I import the styles and requisite colors, the styles work perfectly.  However, when I close and reopen Illustrator, often the colors in the character styles are gone.  That is, instead of "Fill Color: hydro, Tint: 100%", it's replaced with "Fill Color: [None]" I have multiple character styles with the same color, e.g. I have rivers and lakes with different character styles, but they both use the "hydro" color.  Sometimes rivers lose their colors, but lakes keep it, sometimes the other way around.  There seems to be no logic behind what loses the color when, except that they DO lose color sooner or later. I do have the necessary colors still in the document, the "hydro" color is in my pallette, and I'm able to get back the correct character style (including colors) if I reimport the styles every single time, but it's a pain. At this point, I'm not sure if I'm missing something im

I already apologize if the answer is very simple, and I just missed it so far.The following setup is used:Windows 10Adobe Illustrator 27.8.1 (64-bit)The latest SDK 2023I have created one plugin with several different custom tools.I have enabled selection-changed and tool-selected notifier, connected to callback-functions. Therefore, I know which tool is currently selected. My goal now is to figure out how to change, which tool is selected or activated in Illustrator.For example: One of my tools was selected by the user and then a specific button is clicked. Now I want the current tool to be disabled, and another tool to be enabled. Just as if the user would have clicked on the other tool icon in Illustrator. So, my question is, which SDK suite or API functions can I use to tell Illustrator to disable the current tool and enabled one of my other tools instead.Thank you very much in advance.Fabian T.
