Ich zeichne in Illustrator 30.4 ein Rechteck, um darin eine Szene als Vektor-Grafik generieren zu lassen.Das Rechteck wird aber immer ignoriert und meist bekomme ich eine quadratische Ausgabe. Kann ich die KI zwingen, sich an mein Rechteck zu halten?

Hello! I am creating vectored line drawing sketches and filling them with either raster or vectored repeat patterns in Illustrator. These are part of a 10 page document that has about 6 of these sketches per page. I make these documents all the time, and save them as PDFs using the PDF/X-1a:2001 preset saving option. I usually have no issues with this, but this time when I open the file in Acrobat, the whole document has areas where the pattern is missing and back layers that should be behind front layers are showing through. Here’s an example:In the illustrator file, this sketch is filled with a print, except for the blue box you see here, that should be in the very back.  All the layers are showing with a transparent fill. I can’t figure out why this is happening all of a sudden. It is an issue with both the vector and raster patterns. Created many small files and saved them to PDF. When I attempted to place (link) these PDF files into a single template for final film output, several were the wrong size. Some of the originals were actually revisions of existing files, and the originals were the correct size. Did not use the options when placing. All jobs consisted of a single art board with no off-artboard items. The art board did not contain bleeds. Given the cost of image setter film, this was a costly mistake.During one of the place operations, I selected multiple PDF files to be placed, one of  the placed image appeared extremely small, less than 2 x 2, when in reality it should have been letter size. Deleted it and they tried again, and it was the proper size. 

Hi everyone.I accidentally found a script that works well with the canvas.However, I noticed that the units are in pixels, and I want to change them to millimeters, but I haven’t been able to do so after multiple attempts.I also noticed that after running the script, the old objects remain in their original positions. I have used Illustrator for a long time and always used a shortcut that is no longer working and I cannot for the life of me figure it out and its driving me bonkers. I use AI for fashion flats, I fill my technical drawings using live paint and if I have a pattern fill I would always use the ~ key to move patterns or “rotate”+ “~” key. I am unable to do this without moving my entire object. Ex: if I have a rib knit fill for a sleeve and need to rotate it so the fill follows the direction of the sleeve - I’ve always used “r” to rotate & then “~” key and it would rotate only the pattern fill. This however does not work and its rotating my entire object (sleeve). Does anyone know why this might be? I have done a deep dive online and tried everything with no luck. Any help with this would be hugely appreciated!

I’m on a MacBook 2024, OS: Tahoe 26.3.2. Using Illustrator 2026 v30.4. It can’t even open the file. And if it ever does it’s extremely slow to do anything. For example a file may open and I can’t even pan around the image before the app stops responding.

I have created blends to represent a laser-mark effect on a metal wire. The wire has a taper/curves. How can I get a consistent blend on the laser marks throughout the (gray) length wire, taper and curves?

Illustrator closes when I start working with the pencil or brush tool. I've disabled GPU performance, installed various drivers for the video card, and tried resetting the settings, but nothing helped. The laptop has an RTX GeForce 3050 video card and an AMD Ryzen 7-series processor. Illustrator version is 30.3.

I am using the Direct Selection tool to work on linework. It will take at least ten clicks to actually get it to select the artwork, even though it is visible upon hovering. Clicking a path and attempting to drag is is basically non-functional. This is a new problem as of this morning. Nothing about my machine has changed. I have tried with smart guides on, off; snap to point on, off; updating; restarting both Illustrator and my computer. This is absolutely maddening. Illustrator Direct Select Issue Screen Recording

When saving files. Is there a way of saving as AI, PDF, AI Outlines and PDF Outlines files all at once?  For example. Save as a AI file with the option to click a checkbox and save as a PDF, AI Outline and PDF Outline file.

Hello, Since updating to version 2026 of the Adobe Creative CC suite, I've been having issues with InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. The fonts and text appear distorted or damaged, with a sort of outline, and my PNG files (with transparent backgrounds) show up with a white background. The same goes for PSD elements in Photoshop, which appear with a white background even though there isn’t one. This makes it very difficult to design my ads, brochures, etc.Has anyone else encountered this kind of problem? 

Using the line tool, I’m finding I can draw one at 224 or 226 degrees, but not 225. I haven’t checked other angles.If I manually enter 225, it draws a line, but when traced, it’s 226 degrees.Huh?  

Recently I'm witnessing more and more bugs/glitches that are resolved by switching from GPU preview to CPU preview. I wasn't able to track the exact situations that generates them but all of a sudden I see big pink areas that change when moving objects (not in the actual graphics, just in the "preview"), much greater "alignment" issues (this always happened but only when zooming a lot, and only on certain projects),  “approximation” of curves (not sure how to call them). and gradient pixelations.All these stuff had a 500% increase since I’m using Ai 2025, especially the latest releases. I can’t update further, anyway (nor downgrade at this point), since I’m using a 2015 Macbook Pro Intel Core i7 quad-core with a AMD Radeon R9 M370X GPU and 16GB RAM.I know it’s a pretty outdated machine but it always run perfect so far and never had such issues before!I am now on Ai 29.0.

for some reason my clipping mask isn’t working. I’m making sure my texture is sandwiched between two layers of the same motif and that the top layer is in the very front. I’m selecting all the layers and clicking command 7

I am creating a pattern with lots of graphics in which I use merge live paint tool. Everytime I copy and paste a graphic it fills with the original pattern, even after I deleted the pattern swatch, it fills stroke and fill. 

I am drawing house plans for a remodel. To get them precise I’m preparing drawing elements at 1:1 scale - which I set in the Dimension settings tool. I want a separate file at a scale of 1:48 for printing at 24”x36” open at the same time to paste various drawing element into for final preparation and formatting. AI responses online say that when I open the Dimension settings in one document those settings are for that document only and that I can set the other one at a different scale. I’ve done that several times and it does not work. Either I’m missing some setting to limit the choice to a single file or those instructions are simply wrong.Anyone have any experience with this and suggestions?Thanks!

Illustrator share for review updating still not working. You can only update the last file shared whatever the file you’re in. The only solution is delete the shared link — leaving clients completely lost and loosing all previous comments! — and start from scratch. Too bad the community manager’s replies — I’m sorry to hear… Are you AI or real people? Adobe, I’m paying 80 euros / month for your shit, so fix this now and stop saying you’re sorry!

I’m trying to stop Creative Cloud from downloading Adobe Acrobat updates without permission. Asking here because I’ve tried a dozen times but can't for the life of me get an answer in the Acrobat fora. I’ve come here because I always seem to get knowledgable answers and recommendations here. Does anyone know how to stop an updated version from being downloaded (in the way Illustrator and Photoshop manage to extend this courtesy to users)?

Hi there I am assisting a client of ours with a GPU error that is being received whilst he is in Illustrator. He is one of the marketing designers for the company. The device specifications are: Dell Pro Max 16Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 265H64GB of ramIntel(R) Arc(TM) Pro 140T GPU (32GB)NVIDIA RTX PRO 1000 Blackwell Generation Laptop GPUWhilst using Illustrator he repeatedly receives the following error message, I have gone through the forum and tried all applicable fixes includingSetting the application settings within the Nvidia panel to use the high performance GPU.Updated the Intel Iris drivers.Updated the Nvidia drivers.Uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Creative Cloud. (Used Revo uninstaller to ensure a clean removal).Attempted the registry fixes.None of them worked, The GPU is also not visible within the Adobe settings as per below,I am unsure as to how to resolve this issue as it is a brand new device. Any advice will be appreciated.

A few days ago, I was able to save Adobe Illustrator files containing older Monotype fonts as PDF files. But today, I suddenly can’t save them as PDF files, and the following error message appears:“Cannot save the file as the font “CHei2HKS-Xbold” could not be embedded because of licensing restrictions.”What’s wrong? Lately Ive been having lag issues with Illustrator opening. It takes a few minutes - and when i cmd+opt+esc to see the tasks it always says “not responding.” It does eventually open, but wondering why this is happening? I keep looking for an update to the program, but its been 2 weeks now.

Suddenly the hand-tool (hand) is turned on and stuck. I pressed the space bar many times, but issue do not let go. Switching to other instruments does not work, but menus and hotkeys do. This behavior in Al, ID, I even installed the AI beta, everything is the same. Occasionally I will have a file that all the links seem to get to this weird broken state of including massive amounts of clear space at the top of them and all their scales are wildly off. I have not be able to figure out what may be causing this. the links do not have this space in the files.  included 2 photos. one is the graphic prior to relinking it and the other is the skewed graphic after relinking.

I’ve been using Illustrator for well over-20 years and have never seen this issue at this intensity. Illustrator is freezing every 4–5 seconds, like clockwork, for about half a second. It’s rhythmic and continuous, and it’s now becoming difficult to work with.No other Adobe apps do this. No other program on my system does this. It is 100% Illustrator‑specific.I spent my entire Saturday trying to isolate the cause.
