I’ve been using a script to make our Proofs Smaller and locked w password to be able to send through email and since updating illustrator it gives this code now. 1129270854 ('FNOC') It worked in illustrator 2024 and not 2026. Im not really techy to figure it out. I saw a few post saying something about open art boards but I’m usually only using one art board.

The new 30.3 update for Mac introduced "improved font handling in Illustrator (macOS) for better consistency and reduced reliance on unsupported system resources"However, this seems to have broken auto font activation with the Typeface font manager. Is there a way to get this fixed?Thanks!

If you want an auto nesting feature that works well I would not spend $1.000 a year on some plugin when you can do it free on ChatGPT. I am creating a multiple DTF sheets at a template size of 23 inch wide and 200 inch long. Spacing the files 1/4 inch aprat to allow for cutting and nesting based on file to nest same design with same design over placing a random design in the middle of several that are the same so it makes for easier cutting and sorting.  Can you gang up sheets of my dtf prints?   ChatGPT said:Yes, I can help gang up (arrange multiple designs efficiently) your DTF (Direct-to-Film) prints onto a single sheet for printing. Hey everyone, I’ve been using Illustrator for a while now, but recently it’s been getting super laggy even on simple files. I didn’t change anything major on my system, so I’m a bit confused what’s causing it. Has anyone else faced this or found a fix that actually works?

Just updated Illustrator and now when using the Eyedropper tool, it no longer gives you Smart Guides to highlight the path that you are sourcing. How the absolute heck am I supposed to do this now? How can you see what you are selecting? This has ruined my workflow.This is so absurd. Changing things that have worked fine for a hundred years and now you change it for no reason to something worse. See attached images that visualize the issue perfectly. Credit to Egor Chistyakov.

Dear all,I have already mentioned this in other posts around but since I managed to get a little deeper I wanted to give this a separate thread.Every time I launch Illustrator 30.x (that is, ever since v 30 was released), macOS Tahoe shows me the following alert (Illustrator would like to access data from other apps):If I press “Do now allow” (left button), then the home page of Illustrator is blank and the app will not work properly. No problem, though, I relaunch Illustrator and press “Allow”, thinking this would be it.In macOS, apps that asks for this specific permission are listed in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation, as shown here:As you can see, Acrobat got correctly added the first time it asked me to access data while, regardless of how many times I try, Illustrator doesn’t get added. Unfortunately, there is no +/- button to manually add an app to this list. Even assuming this would be a bug in macOS, it would be for Illustrator to solve this with Appl

The only workaround I've found is to save PSD as TIF and place it into illustrator file instead of PSD. It works, and I can see my spot colors again, but it is frustrating to have to reopen all PSD files and save them in different format. That happens since last update (30.3).

I’m trying to use the Mockup Beta feature in Illustrator, but it's missing for some reason, so I can’t do the mock-up product. Despite watching many tutorials, I still don’t know why. Just in case I did something wrong: I downloaded an image to use for the product then used my own artwork designed on Illustrator as a logo. How do you ungroup or expand a pie chart in Adobe Illustrator CS6? This functionality seems to have been removed. Say I'd like to remove the legend: before, I could ungroup the chart, release its link to the data, and then delete the legend with my white mouse. Object > Expand no longer works either. This is supremely frustrating.

I am working on a translation book and need to convert English to Chinese. The file format is Ai, and there were no paragraph or character styles created before.For convenience now, I want to control them using character styles or paragraph styles.For example, my character style only changed the font, without the font size or line spacing.I originally thought it would be okay with just one click, but now I realize that the font size and spacing have changed. I have to readjust every text block again. The workload has actually increased.Is there a way to apply character styles by only changing different fonts without affecting the original settings? 

Illustrator 2021/Mac Book Pro/ Catalina 10.15.7.Yesterday I created a several types of gradients, today I open the file and I'm unable to edit any of the freedom gradients I created? I also used the corner radius to create a rouned square shape for those gradients. Now the gradients that I used the Freedom gradient tool with appear to be images. The layers palette shows them as "non-native art" and the rounded corners are a part of the image. The edit corners is gone? The gradient acts like a raster image? BTW: The regular linear gradient still works as expected and the corners can be edited still. I just updated to Illustrator CC2021 and although the Freedom gradient tool is not new, I rarely use it. So I'm wondering if there's a bug here? Any advise is appreciated.

Hi all !I have something weird going on, and i hope u can figure it out.I have LENOVO LEGION PRO 5 16IRX9INTEL CORE I7-14700HXNVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4070I'm an architect, and i need for my work to draw a lot of trees. For that i used ".DWG" tree's format.The more i had some, the more illustrator slower is. I know there are a lot of trees, but i don't have similiar perfomance issues with other software. When i duplicate one, it takes almost ten second to duplicate it. It's HUGE !The .DWG file is 70Ko sizeCan someone help me plz ? :)Cheers !!PS : I already press ctrl+y (actual screenshot) to improve performance 

In the last few weeks, saving a file in Legacy Format (CS5) isn´t working properly.A Colleague of mine still uses CS5 and I often save files for him.Nowadays, files appear "corrupt" or "from a newer version", despite being simple designs, without any of the new features.Anyone else experiencing this? When I first read about free software, I got the idea they were stealing code from businesses, as well as borrowing it from each other. Is this the case with free open source software? This may be why it doesn’t work very well, as well as being unethical. I do not agree with the free software movement. It violates business law. Just because they are having trouble stopping it, does not mean that it is ethical. They are stealing code from businesses. I did not get at first, that the open source software was about that. I am thinking that it is, though. It doesn’t seem to work very well. I was going to use Inkscape, which is meant to replace Illustrator. It isn’t working, though. If they are stealing code from businesses, I am against it, on ethical grounds. It does violate business law. That does relate to money. So does copyright law. That is actually serious. It is code. using Scripting, I wonder if it is possible to create a panel / window within Adobe Illustrator to show a list of all scripts in a particular folder, so I can choose from and by clicking to start a script or two of them?   thanks in advance Nils
