Hi, I am trying to produce an 8.5 x 11 coloring book with .125 bleed, however, when I save it as a high-quality print file it compresses the resolution to 61 x 79. I have tried EVERYTHING and it always just produces a tiny file.  When I save it as a PDF ,and I uncheck all the boxes, I lose my bleed and i have to make each page bigger manually.  Why cant it just save properly the first time?  My Artboards are 8.5  x  11 inches, but this is the resolution it shoots out. Super tiny file. 

my custom strokes are forced to align to Center, and cannot be aligned to In/Outside (both are greyed out as seen in image below)Is there a way to change that?Thanks

I just got a Macbook Pro M4 max and did all the updates and running the lastest Version on Illustrator, and When opening a file with some elements in a clip mask they are Invisable, but when I change the preview mode From GPU to CPU mode, The objects appear again. Does anyone having this issue. I wasnt having this issue on my windows PC, 

Hi there,I know there have been several discussions about this, but from what I can tell, there has never been a definitive solution to the age old Illustrator problem of why when you copy from one art board and paste into another, it hardly ever works. As a freelance designer I've worked at numerous design agencies and all the designers report the same problem. Why is it so random? I've tried many things over the years (and yes it has been going on for years) and it doesn't matter what you do, most of the time Illustrator refuses to paste into the art board you actually want to paste in to. Sometimes it the same artboard you've just copied from, sometimes it's a random art board you don't want to paste into, and sometimes it's just off all the art boards entirely. Adobe could you please test 'Command F' with multiple art board documents and see if you to experience the same problem. I will quite happily supply you with some of my own files for you to test  (I'm running the latest

When drawing with the brush tool my brushes don't align with the actual path I'm drawing. They're offset to the side. This is only happening with brushes I've added. The included brushes are aligning to the path I've drawn. It just started happening. Yesterday everything was working fine. This is very frustrating for creating accurate line details in illustrations. TIA

Illustrator 26.5.2, Windows 10. For the past week, I've gotten this blurb when I fire up Illustrator. Clicking the "Don't Show Again" box seems to have no effect. What I would like to have happen is: I would like to start Illustrator and not see this offer. To me, that's what the "Don't Show Again" box would seem to indicate. What would Adobe suggest I do in order to not see this box again?  

I have just bought a brand new MICROSOFT 14"  IdeaPad, OLED Display, Copilot+ PC - Snapdragon X Plus I am trying to download illustrator, however, it will not install.  On my creative cloud, it only shows the online beta version (which is not what I want). When I use the browser to download the app, it downloads the set up file.  After double clicking on the set up file (+ trying run as administrator), it just opens my creative cloud again but doesn't install.  

This is AI 29.0.1.

What is the reason, no matter how many updates come adobe is unable to get rid of crashing issue of Adobe Illustrator?

I work in Industrial signage, I should use CAD but i am on illustrator. I need the dimension tool to have written out fractions down to 1/16 in. Is this possible?

good morning,may be the subject title need to be corrected cause of my english...anyway, I need to know an efficient mode to shift the cyan trace from point 1 to point 3.I mean using the Appearance window.I'm able to doit with linear trace (with transform effect) not in case of non linear trace.I try with dotted line without success. 

Hi, I was just wondering if it's possible to export all of the images in an AI symbol Library into individual artboards or files. I have a symbol library with a couple of hundred icons in it, and I was these as individual artboards or files. Thanks. Leah.

Two similar text are one over other with different colors & one text is slightly moved to give a 3D impression. You can notice left side edge of "N" & "O" is white color whereas right side edge of the "F", "A", "S" is white color. "H" & "I" edges have no color. How is it possible? If you use the arrow key you can see entire text either moves left or right. Tricks & Tutorialstime 9.08     

I would like to convert some texts/letters to lines in Illustrator.I know how to convert text to outlines, but this creates shapes.What I need is the average line of the letter shapes as I illustrated in the attached image.Does someone know an easy way to achieve this?I've tried the blend option from the object menu, but this didn't work out correctly. It would be an awful lot of work to trace every character by hand, so I really hope there's another option.

When exporting or saving as SVG, the non-alphanumeric characters in a layer name get converted to their hex code. For example, hashtag(#) becomes _x23_ and underscore(_) becomes _x5F_. This happens when the layer name is set as the id or the data-name. This issue seems to only happen in v28.6 of Illustrator, not v28.5. 

Hi, I usually use the brush tool to create continuous lines with the watercolour line shape. For some reason my lines are now being broken up as if the line is dashed, it is not. Is this something that has changed with how illustrator formats the brush tools? They do look diffeerent.   The brush tool seems to now be broken into sections? Can anyone help me to make this back into a single line that the vector is stretched to the full length? Thank you

In trying to draw a circle of arrows like the attached jpg, can't work out how to add, accurately, the start and end arrowheads (as the style shown) to create the first one? I've experimented with arrowheads on the Stroke palette and tried outlining the stroke then adding new anchor points but it's all by eye and, therefore, very hit and miss. I do understand how, once the first one is created, how to duplicate them round the elipse. Grateful for ideas, anyone.

Hi everyone I have a list of 300+ colors that I need to make into a swatch library for Illustrator. The data looks like this:GREEN GRASS,127,187,0PALE YELLOW,241,235,135LIGHT YELLOW,238,231,93DAFFODIL,249,231,21MOONBEAM,249,223,22etc.It's RGB I think. In any case, I am just starting with Illustrator and I know NOTHING about scripting. Can anyone help me get aaaaalllll these colors into a swatch library, please? I am getting a migraine just thinking about putting them in one by one. LOLI found something here, but that didn't work for me. I get an error on processing on line 75. http://forums.adobe.com/message/2877951Error 24: app.doScript is not a function, Line 75 _> app.dpScript(speakThis, 1095978087); //AppleScript.I get as far as choosing the csv file, and then I get the error. I think this outputs as CMYK, but not sure. Does anyone know of another script, or can anyone help me out?Thanks,Gina

When I use the Color Picker inside of the Gradient window, it works fine and normal on shapes, but if I try to use the Color Picker when adjusting the gradient of a stroke on a shape, it switches my gradient to a solid color. I'll attach a video to show what's happening. In the video, the first thing I do is select the shape with the stroke on it. Then I make sure that I'm adjusting the stroke gradient and not the shape gradient. After that, I move over to the Gradient window. I click on the Color Picker and then click on a color from my library. You will notice that the stroke is now a solid color instead of a gradient.I do two things to test if this is an issue with selecting colors from my library. The first thing I do in my screen recording is use the Color Picker on a color located inside my Illustrator canvas. You can see that the Color Picker worked. The second thing I do to test if it's a library issue is to use the Color Picker on the shape rather than the shape's stroke.

Just installed the version 29.0.1. The stroke color affects fill color as i show below.  

Whenever I try to color the outline, it will take it as a fill color. It doesn't color the outline. This is such a simple basic thing, I don't know if anybody else is facing similar isssue?
