Hello,For some reason i'm having issues copying excel box and whisker diagrams into illustrator, despite the fact i've done it in the past without issue. I try to copy and paste the graphs, clipping mask - release mask (Alt - Ctrl - 7) (which works still with scatter graphs) but it does not work. It seems for some reason the box and whisker graphs now paste as images and not graphs, however i don't know how to change this. Any help is appreciated, Thanks, Theo.

Hi, I'm creating digital artwork and would like to print it, but I have no experience with color modules (like Fogra, how to export it in the right way.) Is there any way to learn how to do this? For example, to understand that a certain color will look off in print?Any help is appreciatedd 

I'm trying to open PNG filed directly through illustrator by rightclicking the png file and opening them on illustrator, but I keep getting the "unknown error occured (PARM)." Plus when I just open an empty illustrator file and try to drag png files on there they don't show up. Only a blank "frame" (with the control points at the corners, nothing else) shows up without the contents.How do I fix this? 

I use illustrator 5 days a week for work. Today, when using the pen tool the 1 pt like looks like a 5pt line.  I had to adjust my line weight to be .16 for it to look normal. Also, it kep resetting? I would change the line weight as sell as the function  to .5 to make ruffle lines on a skirt with the ends that are thinner.  Every time I clicked enter to finish a line, when dropped a new anchor point the pen line weight would reset to 1 (which looked like 5) and would remove the functions.  It prevented me from getting my work done 

What is the best way to save/export vector illustrator files so they don't look pixelated on screen?For example, company logo for email signature. HELP!  

Hello, I have a problem with the font "Geologica".The design of the letter "a" is displayed correctly in InDesign but in Illustrator the same font displays the same letter differently. I've checked multiple softwares, and in Ms Word the font also is displayed incorrectly. I've attached an image so you can see the problem. Has this happened with any of you? Do you know what the problem is?This is weird because it's my company's brand font and something is not right with it. thank you in advance.  

HiI am experiencing very slow performance and time lags when using the latest version of Illustrator CC. Hopefully, someone has encountered similar issues? Allow me to explain...The main part of my work involves working with CAD files supplied by architects in PDF format (previously used DWGs, but latest Illustrator no longer recognises these).  Once opened in Illustrator, I use them as templates to draw stylised versions of apartments for inclusion in sales and promotional items.I usually open the architect's PDFs in Illustrator and edit them; deleting unneeded information to make them as simple as possible. I've worked with PDFs in this manner for years, and until now I haven't experienced anything like the delayed performance of Illustrator CC 2020. It is excruciating and makes it virtually impossible to work with this software.The only thing I can suggest is that it may be something to do with the content of the original CADs, which, when saved as PDFs creates an artefact, or

Typically when I am given PDF or AI layouts they need to be broken apart into appropriate layers within Illustrator so that they will import as seperate objects when imported into After Effects. Ran into an interesting problem today and though I'd post the solution in case it can help anyone else. I was given an Adobe XD file today as a source of artwork to animate in After Effects.  I opened the file in XD then exported to PDF.  I then opened the PDF in Illustrator and all the elements were there; vectors, text as vectors and images.  Usually I 'Unembed' the images from the PDF using the 'Links' panel and save them as PSD files.  This method gets the best rendering in AE and to also gets the full image in cases where and image hangs off the artboard or is masked.  The problem came up when the image files didn't show in the 'Links' panel.  The images were exported from XD as patterns in the PDF. For context, I have a personal adobe cloud account, with illustrator and photoshop installed. Now that I am in university and they have adobe clouds accounts for us, I cancelled my personal subscription and I can still access it until 14 september. The thing is that I want to sync the illustrator and photoshop files that I have in my personal account to this school account. How do I do so? It's really frustrating because when I log in to my university account, this is what it shows.Idk how to access illustrator and photoshop from this university account. I have tried clicking on view all apps and sevices > access your apps and services but all it does is bring me back to illustrator and photoshop on my personal account. All it does is bring me back to what is clearly my personal account. Hello, I recently updated my Illustrator the the most recent version (24.2.1) and my tools are missing. I was able to reclaim the tools from the windows pannel but all of the options from the right side of the screen were still missing. Typicaly I would reset my workspace to "essentials classic" or "essentials" but I am currently stuck on my preset workspace and am unable to switch out of it. A potential solution is installing a previous version to fix this issue, which has worked in the past for me. The intention with this post to to seek a potential solution and to notify the proper parties regarding this issue. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next update. Thanks!  

I haven't used Illustrator in a while, but I think I know it fairly well.When I create 2 objects and I try to move one in relation to the other, I can nudge with the keyboard but only in specific increments. It makes no differend if I hold down 'shift' or not, the nudging is the same. When I use the mouse to drag the object it will only drag in steps, there is no way to do a tiny movement. When I change the keyboard increments in the 'general' settings it makes no differene.  I know this used to work fine, so what has changed?

I see people have the opposite problem - they WANT the art to re-scale when they re-size the artboard. I do not. Since the latest updates for both Photoshop and Illustrator, now when I change the artboard or textbox size or shape (in both programs!), the art or text inside automatically resizes (read: distorts horribly!). The workaround I found is to LOCK my art and text layers before resizing the artboard. REALLY? REALLY, ADOBE? WHY is this happening? More importantly how can I STOP it from happening and set it to behave like Illustator and Photoshop versions of LAST MONTH? I have looked for options in Preferences, and see nothing makes sense or clearly controls this annoyance. Please help.

Hi, i having a problem with all my Ai files, i'm using 2024 version and every time when i save and open again everything in the file are separed including letters and shapes, the file creates "clips groups" and "paths" , i try with diferents version of Ai and the same problem happens, i dont know how to fix it. I always save with "save as" and open the ".ai" file.

Why when exporting and illustrator artboard as an svg do I get it all mirrored?And not all elements included??

I don't know what update did this, but my strokes are all messed up! This is a little complicated to explain, but stroke weight is changing the sizes of my shape. For instance, if I make a 2" x 2" stroked square and change the stroke weight from 1 to 3, suddenly the shape is now 2.0417" not 2. The only way I have found to remedy this, and it's not a fool proof fix, is to change the stroke from "Align stroke to center" to "Align stroke to Inside". This still doesn't always fix my problem. I'm trying to build templates at full scale, and when I shrink them down to quarter scale it drastically changes the size of my shape. I made a full scale build of a deck that I'm building. I had to scale it down for the city and when I did, it went from 2.13" high, to 2.03" I then had to change my stroke weight and reinput my overall height to get something close to an accurate scaled version. I have NEVER had this issue until recently. I've tried turning off the scale stroke thickeness, but that is N

Well, the title says it all, but here's an overview: I recently installed the macOS Sonoma Beta. Since installing, both Illustrator and Illustrator Beta can no longer save any file—not jpg, png, svg, ai, pdf, or any other format. I have tried export as, and save as, but both result in my Illustrator app force crashing without any prompt, spinning wheel of death, or any other indicator that it is about to crash. In attempts to resolve this, I have force quit them, uninstalled and reinstalled, and also restart my laptop. Absolutely nothing has worked other than uninstalling and reinstalling; however, in order to save one file I have to uninstall and reinstall every single time. Is there any solution to this?
