I made the update on illustrartor today. I'm now working on a project trying to fill in shapes I've created with the metallic swatches from the swatch library, and it will not fill.  It just stays empty. The standard swatches work, but the others the library ones don't appear to.

Hi there,  I have just installed the trial version of Adobe Illustrator to use the mockup feature.  I have followed the steps but I cannot find the 'make' button to generate the mockup with my images.  Can someone please advise how to make a mockup? Thanks in advance

Hello,  I cannot deal with this constant problem. Ever since the newest update, Adobe Illustrator consistently freezes when using the rotate tool. It is the only tool causing this issue. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I can not get the null sign to disapear when I try to use the live paint tool. I must be missing somthing simple but no clue what. My selected parts have no gaps and properties says it is a live paint area. but does not show in red when I hover and the LPB has the null sign on it when I open it regardless of the options I have selected for it.

When I try to create a new file and enter the parameters for the file, the dialog box just stops working after two tries, and nothing short of a reboot will give me another 2 tries. All buttons stop responding, all the interface fields aren't clickable to enter parameters, and it has forced me to stop all new work. The error started appearing about a month ago, and I hoped the recent updates would fix it, but they made everything worse. I'm on Windows 11, nothing else is running. I get maybe two or three clicks and edits to the New File dialog IN ALL ADOBE APPS and then it just goes dead and the only way I can quit out of the dialog is the top right windows X button. All Adobe buttons just stop working. This has really killed my productivity. Reinstall didn't work. Rebooting didn't work. I'm already fed up with Adobe over predatory Ts&Cs and the lack of value compared to the price tag. When my year's subscription runs out I'm going to have to seriously re-evaluate continu

I wanted to ask how safe is to keep data inside localStorage.setItem(Key, Value).If I want to create extension for Illustrator and want to store license key for that extension inside localStorage. License key in localStorage will be encrypted of course.Is this safe to do such thing?

Hello,By default, in Photoshop, when you move a guide over the entire width, there is a pause that designates the precise center of a document thanks to magnetism. Same on the length.I would like Illustrator to react in the same way, but I can't find the setting in question. I can find the different magnetisms in the "View" menu but despite my attempts, I can't understand which one corresponds to what I want.I am using Illustrator 2023 version 27.6.1Can you help me, please?Thank you.

Illustrator version 28.5.0I have uninstalled and reinstalled Illustrator and Illustrator still crashes when using the "colour swatch options" in the colour swatches. I am now working with Illustrator version 28.4.1 again. Does anyone have the same problem?

i want to change the serial no on this document in illustrator . I saw the way of changing by variable method .I cant apply that solution to this file as that method is for ine doc at a time , in my case i need to change them all in one document . So plz guide me in this regard. 

Seriosuly what on earth is going on Adobe?Illustrator is meant to be the professional standard for the industry.Millions rely on it daily for mission critical work. It is completely unacceptable that with each update the product gets worse and worse and more unstable.I have had our work flow widly interupted basically all year, I even had to get someone from Adobe take over my computer to create fixes which lasted nearly two hours and nothing has been the same since. Hugely inconvenient. The latest version has now stopped launching, just like every other version this year. Need to go back at least 5 versions or more to make anything happen.It's simply not good enough.   

Hello,I've been drawing on illustrator using the blob brush tool and eraser tool, everything was going fine until suddenly the brush tool started deleting chunks outside of where I click.I would erase a part of a shape from one end, then erase another at the second end, then the middle area (where I haven't clicked) gets erased as well.How do I fix this problem and make the eraser tool erase accurately where I click only, and not remove parts of the shapes automatically.Note: I have attached an image of the problem's process.

I'm trying to change the color combination of editable text that I found on Adobe stock.  I'm not sure how to change the colors.  When I try to change the color it only changes the top layer.  Here is an example of one of the editable text options that I want to use Editable text style effect - Summer theme style.

I'm on Illustrator 27.7. I noticed unwanted letters randomly getting spilled all over my artboard. Like alphabet soup but without the soup. I can't click on them or edit them, as if they were locked items, but they don't show up in the Layers. But if I toggle visibility for certain layers, these unwanted letters will toggle with it. And if they actually happen to be in the artboard, they will show up in the export. A temporary fix I do is to cut an entire layer and then paste in place, but that's pretty annoying.

Hi there, I am looking for a solution to creating a wavy grid, such as the one in the attached photo, without the lines overlapping. The first attached image is an example of a pre-existing raster file I purchased via Gumroad, however, I wish to create a similar waved grid in Adobe Illustrator so as to have a scaleable vector as well as the option to customize the waves. For context, I have created a grid using paths, created a colored shape as a background, grouped them together and used Envelope Distort > Make with Mesh to create the waves. This seems to work on the back row (that is, the top row) of the mesh but the issue I have is that the inside of the grid doesn't "stick" to the background (see second attached image). I'd be greatful to hear any suggestions or solutions. Thanks!

Hello Everyone 🙂 Illustrator is freezing when i am trying to create a new file. I cant create a new document also i cant close the new document screen.  And also i cant click any recent item. I resetted the preferences many times but it didnt solve my problem.  Thanks.  

 

Hello there, In the illustrator program, the "Default Direction" option in the character panel and the invert text option in the paragraph panel are not available. How can I turn these options on? good work

July 2024 and still nothing??? I guess I will switch over to Affinity for the project I'm currently working on. I don't even know why I decided to try illustrator. 

This started yesterday. I'll have something selected that I'm working on and suddenly it gets deselected. Some examples: if I'm adjusting the gradient on an object, it deselects and I have to click it again. Working inside a selected group and deselects kicking me out of the group. Or I'll have the group selected in isolation mode but new shapes/paths I make are placed in a separate layer outside of the group. Using the pen tool and it deselects the path when I'm about to place the next anchor point. All at random intervals. I have tried: 1. Restarting Illustrator 2. Restarting my laptop 3. Uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator 4. Resetting my preferences 5. Reinstalling older versions of Illustrator, and nothing has worked.

I've been using Illustrator for around 2 years now, but since update from early 2024, Illustrator filling up temporary files on my disc C (C:\AITEMP)The problem is i have limited storage on my C drive since its SSD, my bigger storage are on my other disc where i use HDD, is there any way to move the temporary illustrator files into a custom location? ps:i've tried to move the default windows temp file location but since illustrator create its own folder and not on TEMP files
